dusksunset says "Cleans dishes quietly" about Bosch SHX55M05UC

I bought my Bosch dishwasher at Sears about a year ago. I suspect it is a slightly different model than what is shown here as they change models regularly. — But what I wanted was the Bosch reputation for quality and reliability and that's what I got. This dishwasher is so quiet, I have to put my hand on it to feel vibrations if I want to know whether it's running. The outside of mine is white, my preference to go with my kitchen, but they also come in black and stainless steel. — The inside is stainless steel and the racks are hard nylon. That's great because it means nothing inside can ever rust. In the modern style of dishwashers, the interior volume is much larger than the way dishwashers used to be made, giving greater height especially to the lower rack. That means it can hold larger pots. There is a small downside to this, however. The bottom rack is much closer to the floor, so you have to bend over a bit when loading and unloading. — The...

SharingExperience says "Over-priced, inferior product" about LG dishwasher

I have an LG dishwasher Model # LDS5811ST. It's a beautiful appliance but, unfortunately, looks aren't everything and believe me - in this instance I paid more and got less. Shortly before the expiration of my manufacturer's warranty, my dishwasher stopped cleaning the dishes. The piece of plastic that the bottom spray arm attached to became warped and got hung up on the bottom basket and the dishes were not getting cleaned. I called LG and was given a repair service to call. That repairman was on vacation so they gave me 3 other repair services to call. When I called the first number, the telephone had been disconnected; the second one no longer serviced LG products (bad sign), and the third came out. I never heard from him again and he never put in for repair part/parts. I felt the design was defective because nothing in a dishwasher should warp. Then, I called LG again and another repairman came out and, once again, nothing. The third person they gave me made an...

dbenavidez says "BEWARE - LG dishnowasher" about LG dishwasher

I purchased this machine because it had everything I was looking for in a dishwasher. Looked great, hidden controls, stainless steel tub, quiet, and matched my other appliances. I purchased it 2 years, 1 week ago. The machines motor just burned out - started flashing "LE" code. I spent $900 for this machine thinking I was gettin top of the line - or at the very least close. The warranty expires after 2 years - called LG - thinking they might have mercy on me since it took a month from the time I bought it to get it - nope - 2 years from the date of purchse - period. Then they proceed to tell me I can only get parts from their authorized tech's - nice way to control prices. Long story medium - do your research - pay less and get more with a different brand - LG dishwashers stink. I have found many many thers with the same issues....

I purchased the GE Quiet Power 3 dishwasher in Oct. 2007. I hate it. The top rack is extremely hard to push in and pull out even when empty. I had three service calls by January 2008 just to get it manageable. Now the rack is hard to push in and pull out again. I have another call in for service. I am a little disheartened that this is a repeat issue. I just bought new plates and bowls and some really nice glass glasses. (I'm a mother of four - we've been using plastic for years. You know what I am talking about.) The rack issue has caused my pretty dishes to break. (I should mention that before the dishes broke, they did get clean, but I don't have much use for clean, broken dishes. Do you?) I don't think the dishwasher is that quiet either. — When I finally get around to replacing this piece of junk, I am going back to Whirlpool. I had a GREAT dishwasher at my last place that was VERY quiet,...

This dishwasher has made life easier for my family and I. It does what it claims without any problems. Dishes do not require any pre-rinsing and they come out shiny and clean. I bake every other day and the pans always needed to pre-soak before, not anymore! The washer is quiet and best of all, it has a half load feature and a sensor to make sure it will not leak. The dishwasher also has a sanitizing option, so we no longer need to worry if the dishes are really clean. Our old dishwasher use to have an odd odor (old food smell) sometimes when it was done with a cycle, this one just smells clean and the containers come out smelling like plastic, not what they stored. The price is a bit high but my thinking it's better to buy right the first time than to buy twice to replace. — I have also noticed savings in water even though we run the dishwasher every other day. I get more cleaning done and pay less on water and...

Well we had this dishwasher from 1 year it works really nice. cleans and dries nicely and quieter than the other dishwasher we previously had. our machine has a stainless steel body. that's bit of a job to clean and make the surface shine ,but if I use the right cleaner then it will shine for atleat 1 week. I use air dry button to dry all the dishes to save on energy. And I never have to wipe my dishes before putting them back in the drawer. — the machine is quiet not like a high end bosch ofcourse. But for the price I paid I will consider it as a "really quiet machine" — it is energy star appliance so our bill has really reduced quiet a bit. — well worth the money. —...
