Bought this new and have been extremely disappointed in it. Doesn't clean dishes well at all. Stuff on the top rack is often speckled with food, especially inside tall glasses. Top rack doesn't roll easily, even though it's just a few months old. I have tried every dish detergent under the sun and can not find one that works well in this dishwasher. Even liquid detergent doesn't rinse fully off the door during a pots and pans cycle. This dishwasher is only a few months old and I'm wondering if I need to call an appliance repair specialist who can help me troubleshoot why this dishwasher cleans dishes so poorly. If you're shopping for a new dishwasher, avoid this one!
...

We purchased an LG diswasher model LDE6920ST 2 months ago. It hasn't gotten the dishes clean yet. The serviceman has replaced the sump and the board and it still doesn't work. LG is stuck into this routine of sending service people out over and over rather than replacing the defective dishwasher. Everytime the service guy comes, he has to order parts that take forever to get here. I'm washing dishes by hand for the first time since 1977. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy an LG. Their service department isn't reliable.
...

Ever since we bought this dishwasher we have had nothing but problems. There is continual food particles left on the plates and dishes. We were told that we were using the wrong type of detergent, so we got the recommended one and still the same. Then we were told that we needed to use the glass rinse and that didn't work. We've had the authorized repair service out 3 times and they replaced different parts each time to no avail. There is massive about of soap and small food buildup inside along the door molding and sliders of the trays that I have constantly had to scrub out. Now we are cleaning up from it flooding all over wood floors. This was supposed to be the high end, but don't spend the bucks.
...

I almost died with how much money I spent on my dishwasher.....but I am soooooo glad I got a Bosh. It is so quiet. It cleans unbelieveably well. I love that mine has a stainless steel tub. I have hard water and use the electrosol detergent as reccomended and fill the reminder of the cup with Lemi-shine. The combination keeps everything squeeky clean. I did notice a film starting to accumulate when I just used electrosol and Jet dry. But then I read on the net about lemi-shine and am now happy. I had company over for dinner and after I loaded the dishwasher, I noticed a look of hesitation on my guests face when she saw me turn it on. Not five mnutes later she was asking me what kind of dishwasher I had. She couldn't believe we were sitting two feet away (not exagerating) and were able to carry on a conversation without the bosh interrupting. Prior to getting my Bosh, I read a lot of online reviews because I was having to replace a dishwasher that was 18 years old. ...
...

Kats12 says "This is the worst machine I have ever bought." about Kenmore kenmore elite

The first time the repairman cam out and told me it wasn't cleaning the dishes because there were chicken bones, I thought no way... and then told my family to be careful. The second time he came and told me there were chicken bones in the drain, it looked very suspiciously like the same string of bones. Well, it still doen'st clean, and it's finally stopped cleaning altogether.I took it apart- all the areas where water goes through- checked the spray arms etc., nothing was stopped up. What we have been able to glean off the 'net is that when Kenmore made the tall tub elite they scrimped on the motor and pump - way to weak for the size, and they get weaker over time due to the overload. Instead of saying so and perhaps offering a discount on another model , replacing the motor etc. they came up with a scam for their repairmen.

OWN UP KENMORE! We will never buy another Kenmore appliance.
...

This Kenmore dishwasher does all of the work for you! It has a turbo zone function which completely removes baked on foods without even rinsing them. The QuietGuard sound system really works. You barely know the dishwasher is working. It has several cycles to choose and temperature settings are just what I need. Because of the Energy Star rating, I know that running it saves me money compared to other brands. It has a sani rinse feature which guarantees it is removing 99.99% of the bacteria caused by food and germs. My dishes come out spotless and shiny. I did not have a dishwasher before I got this one and it sure is a great first dishwasher. It even has a built in food disposal system which really works. I do not even have to rinse the dishes to make sure they come out clean. The dishwasher contains several removal baskets and several of the tines can be adjusted. You can fit an amazing amount of dishes in this dishwasher. I recommend this dishwasher 100%!!!!...
...

basurveys says "The quietest dishwasher I have ever owned" about Siemens Hydrosensor

I have had the Siemans Hydrosensor dishwasher for six years. It is most definately the quietest, most efficient home appliance I own. It is so quiet that I sometimes forget that I have turned it on and have to open it to check and see if I did. No pre-rinsing is necessary because the machine has a "Pot Scrubber" feature that leaves everything squeaky clean. The downside of this feature is that the food catcher thingy on the bottom of the tub needs to be cleaned out regularly to avoid the stinkies. I feel this is a minor inconvenience compared to the machine's efficiency. I have tried different kinds of detergent and the one that works the best with the machine is the Cascade/dawn packets. I rarely use a rinse agent because it really is not necessary. The machine also dries the dishes quite well. The machine also heats its own water and sanitizes everything! The machine was a lot more expensive than other machines I was looking at, but I'm glad I spent the extra money. ...
...

We purchased a GE Profile dishwasher 18 months ago. I wanted one that was fully integrated (no controls on the outside). I love the fact that it automatically dispenses the detergent. It does an ok job of cleaning, but I wouldn't say it is great. Unfortunately, for us, we wasted our money and should have bought something else. We have had a technician come 4 times for repairs. On one of the occasions he put in a new pump because the water wasn't draining. Since it was still under warranty, there was no charge. The same problem has now reoccured and since the warranty on the diswasher (1 year) and the new part (90 days) has expired, we are on our own and need to pay the service charge, parts and labour on the repair (about $400). Prior to buying this expensive dishwasher we had a cheap, plastic Inglis which ran perfectly for 20 years. We got rid of it because it wasn't as "pretty" and beautiful as the GE. It is not cost effective to spend $400 a year on a dishwasher,...
...

I have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher. I love it. It is so quiet. Once I leave my kitchen I can no longer hear it. It is very roomy inside. I love the tall racks on the side. I can put in all my large baking pans inside without them falling over of catching on the top rack. The silverware rack is large. It holds a lot. The top wrack has one side that is deeper for tall glasses or larger bowls. I love this for my 32 oz water glasses. I never have to rinse or prewash my dishes. We just eat and load the dishes in the washer. There is a built in food disposer and it works great. My dishes come out clean and shiny. I never have to rewash anything. My dishwasher is black and doesn't smudge easily. The outside wipes clean with the swipe of a sponge. It has a digital pad with several cycles. I love the tough scrub cycle for my lasagna pans. The sanitizing cycle is great for baby bottles. I would highly recommend this model. Maytag is a great brand.
...

My GE dishwasher came already in my mobile home. It's over 10 years old.For the first year or so I didn't use it much. I was one of those that thought I could get it done faster myself. I also thought the dishes had to be rinsed, so I though "what's the point in using the dishwasher if I had to wash them myself anyway?". But I eventually caved in and tried it. I didn't rinse my dishes, I just try to soak them first. I always use Cascade, which in my opinion is the best detergent. The dishwasher does fairly good on plates and dishes you put on bottom. But there is only one spray arm in the bottom, so the top rach is hard to get clean, especially if you fill up the bottom rack. I always use the Heavy wash setting to make sure I get mydishes as clean as possible. It's lasted me over 10 years, so it's pretty durable. But again, the top rack doesn't clean very well. Plastic cups have to go in the top or the will turn over in the bottom and be filled with dirty dishwater, same with bowls. It's...
...

This Fridigaire dishwasher is a simple, nice-looking appliance. It has cycles for pots and pans, normal wash, eco wash, top rack and rinse only. Options are sanitize, high-temp wash and heat dry. It has a delay start also. The controls are near the top of the door and are pressure sensitive, which means be careful if you lean on it or bump it with your hip because it may start. There is a small basket in the bottom that will collect bits of bones or glass and can be removed for cleaning.

This appliance replaced an old Whirlpool which broke down 10 years ago. That machine came with the house and was already 10-15 years old. We are quite pleased with the new machine so far. It has a decent capacity for cups and bowls in the top rack, which has its own spray mechanism attached to the bottom, guaranteeing that the insides of the dishes get clean.

The Sears/Kenmore dishwasher was installed in our kitchen at least 10 years ago. We have had very little trouble with it. It has a few cycles but I find that running it on 'short' cycle does a good job even when it is quite full. There are four adults living here and we are still able to run it every other day. The only problem might be that the silverware is not always completely dry. However, I can live with that rather spend much more money for a new dishwasher with all the bells and whistles which in my mind are just more parts to need attention! I'm quite happy with the simple things in life and find no need to buy the latest in appliances or home decorating. Also, being a senior citizen I find the simpler items take up less space and seniors are usually downsizing rather then getting into larger living quarters. This dishwasher will satisfy our needs probably as long as we live! The other two adults here are grown sons and I hope that they will find...
...

Whirlpool dishwasher is very dependable, i never encountered any problem with it...I find it very useful and convenient for my family because we love cooking and enjoying our dinners in the house. But what comes after that is another thing, we'd usually get terrified of all the dirty piles of plates, glasses, pots and pans we used in the kitchen. But with Whirlpool dishwasher, cleaning up is sooo easy and worry-free, i wouldn't mind cooking and baking every time. It has big two-drawers capacity so you can load a lot of things. And the washing ability is very good, you'll really see how clean everything is when they come out...My cookware & flatware are all spick-and-span exactly the way i want them!! It is also very consumer friendly, it is energy saving and has minimal sound so you can still relax and enjoy other things like watching your favorite tv shows or listening to music..this dishwasher does the task efficiently & quietly it won't give you a headache!
...

lpolzin23 says "The FDB1050RE is a disappointment" about Frigidaire Dishwasher Built-in FDB1050RE

I moved to a new house a year ago and this dishwasher was there. I had a frigidaire built in at my old house so I didn't think much about it. I now wish I would have ripped out my old one and brought it with me! For whatever reason, the way this one is designed is not as useful. The rack design doesn't lend itself to filling it with dishes. On the top rack, there is not enough space to put in bowls and if I try to put a bowl in each slot they are so close together they don't get clean. That means I have to skip a slot and that means less dishes getting cleaned. I have a large family and we make lots of dirty dishes. Another annoyances is the start button. I fill up the dishwasher, hit the start button and nothing happens. I check to make sure the door is securely shut, and it is. I twirl the selection dial and try again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I miss the days of being able to hit the start button and actually having my dishwasher start. I can't wait until I have the funds...
...

lisacassano says "My whirlpool dishwasher is not a product I would recommend." about Whirlpool Quiet Partner 2

I would not recommend the Whirlpool Quiet Partner 2 dishwasher. We have had trouble with it since the day we got it. It does not clean very well, the dishes have to be rinsed first to come out clean. The dishwasher is unable to handle very dirty/greasy items. Also, the dry cycle is inadequate. The dishes still have to be towel dried when the dry cycle is over. Lastly, the electronic pad breaks frequently. Currently, mine is broken again. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with this dishwasher.
...

LadyDM says "cheapest model of ge" about GE Quiet Power 1 Dishwasher

I REALLY WISH I HAD NOT GOTTEN RID OF MY OLD MAYTAG DISHWASHER!

THE ONLY REASON I DID WAS BECAUSE I REMODLED MY KITCHEN

AND CHANGED FROM BLACK AND WHITE TO STAINLES STEEL. THIS GE IS LOUD,

THE RACK IS HARD TO STAY ON THE TRACK, HARD TO SLIDE. IT DOES NOT HAVE THE CLEANING POWER THAT MY MAYTAG HAD. IT TAKES ONE HOUR TO DO A LOAD OF DISHES. I WILL NEVER BUY A GE AGAIN. THE BASKET DOES NOT FIT RIGHT. I BOUGHT IT FROM APPLIANCE FACTORY IT WAS REFURBISHED IT WAS THE SECOND ONE THE FIRST DID NOT WORK AT ALL.
...
