I have had this crock pot for at least 5 years, and have found it to be reliable and durable. The inside pot comes out and is dishwasher safe. It has a warm setting, and 2 heat settings. It warms up fast, and is hot enough to cook ribs in 6 hours. I often have to use the less hot setting for spaghetti, or it cooks it too much. The lid is clear so you can keep an eye on your food items, and is also dishwasher safe. I would certainly reccommend this product to anyone in the market, and will probably look for another Rival product if this one ever needs to be replaced.
...

I am a working mom and grandma who have 8 people living under my roof. I work six days a week about forty eight hours a week at a local grocery store. I home school my high school child and baby sit for my two grand children alot and I am a wife to a wonderful husband. Yes! I am a busy mom, grandmother and wife.Without the option to plan and exicute my meals I would go crazy. I use the Rival stoneware slow cooker at least two times a week. I can quickly through my dinner into the slow cooker in the morning and come home to a complete meal for my family in the evening. I use chicken, pork and beef and make many different great meals for my family. My husband makes soups and chili in the slow cooker also. It is wonderful and it is easy. The slow cooker also saves us lots of money. Many of everings if I do not have the dinner already waiting for me in my Rival stoneware slow cooker we either call for a pizza or go out for dinner because I am to tired to cook. Think about how much money it...
...

My Rival 4 quart crockpot has been wonderful. I can put a roast or some dry beans on in the morning and when I come home from work, dinner is ready. When my old Rival crockpot quit working, I went out and bought another one. The old one lasted well over ten years. My new Rival has the removeable insert which makes it easier to clean. I can wash it by hand or in the dishwasher. My grandson, who is eleven, likes to prepare his concoctions and cook them in the crockpot. They come out pretty good. The Rival 4 quart is inexpensive and a great way to prepare meals when you have to work. I have cooked spagetti, roast, beans, soup, stews and many other meals in the crockpot. I feel a crockpot is a must have in any household. The Rival 4 quart is very affordable and easy to clean with a removeable insert. I would recommend it to anyone. It is worth the money and a time saver in the kitchen. Get ready for a good meal
...

We had tried a Crock Pot and it was good and provided some great meals, but as our family grew in size it was not big enough to allow everyone to have a good tasting of what was cooked in it. When we got the Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker and it was 5.5 Quarts, we were then able to cook enough for everyone and sometime even have left overs. This item is one of the strongest made and it is duriable. You can use the big heavy bowl to cook your meal in or use a liner that allows for a easier cleaning. After the ,eal is cooked you can serve from thwe pot and set the timer on warm keeping everything hot while eating or you can remove the bowl and set it on the table so you do not have to get up everytime someone wants a extra serving. I like the timer and it has a high temp, low temp and a warm temp. If you want a slow cooker that will cook some great meals while you are at work or at play and have no worries about it burning your house down, then this is it. I would recommend it to everyone, especially...
...

The Crock-Pot 6 Quart Stainless Slow Cooker is a stylish and quality addition to any kitchen. With programmable cooking time and a warmer setting that kicks in for up to 4 hours after the cooking time is expired, it is great for the busy cook who wants to be able to provide healthy, home-cooked meals for the table. The angled handle on the lid helps prevent the lid from slipping and causing the glass to burn fingers. This product is accompanied by a Little Dipper warmer that is great for warm dips, especially during the holiday season. The recipe book that is included in the packaging has many great ideas for the Slow Cooker, including beverages; but not many for the Little Dipper.
...

I have always loved cooking with a crockpot. It is so quick and easy from a preparation standpoint. In the morning you put all of your ingredients in, set the heat, and when you get home from work, there is a delicious hot meal waiting for you. In the past I had a 4 quart Crockpot and it seemed that it was never quite large enough to hold the ingredients. With the Hamilton Beech six quart slow cooker, that just isn't a problem. In addition to the size, the ease with which you can transport the long-cooked meal to a dinner engagement or a pot-luck is great because of the locks that lock the cover quite tightly shut. The ceramic insert comes out quite easily for cleaning, and is very easy to clean...usually just a quick rinse in the sink and directly into the dishwasher.

On the negative side, the cord does not retract for storage, so is always in the way when trying to store the unit. Also, the lack of an auto-shift function isn't that great.

All in all, I am quite satisfied...
...

I got my RIval slow cooker for Christmas 2 years ago; didn't think I'd use it much. BUT, it's been wonderful; I love putting dinner on in the morning, setting it and have a great meal by 6pm. I need to get a slow cooker cookbook so I can learn more about crockpot cooking but, there's some great stuff on the Internet too. The cooker itself is fantastic; it's super-easy to clean with the removable ceramic insert. It's hard to mess up a meal with this crockpot. I think Rival is very competetively priced; you get a lot for what you pay for. There's crockpots that are way more expensive but, I see no advantage to them over my Rival. I also liked the multiple designs available; they aren't just useful, they're attractive as well. I thought it would be a pain to store it but, that's been no problem either; it tucks away nicely in my pots/pans cupboard and there's room to spare (maybe I'm just lucky with my storage space :).
...

My 6-quart programmable Crock Pot was an excellent way to spend $70. It's an awesome and time saving way to get dinner on the table fast. However, when cooking multiple items in the pot, the flavors tend to blend together and everything starts to taste the same after a while. It also tends to run a bit hot and the meat often comes out over done and/or dry. This model has a beeper which lets you know when the meal is ready. Overall I am highly satisfied with this product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not too long ago I bought a Rival 5.5 oval smart crockpot at target for about 40 dollars, and I can honestly say that this thing does pay for itself and I believe to be a good investment. It is programmable and has a nice sleek black design which makes my kitchen look a lot more modern with out even trying. And it has been saving me a lot of money because I use it to make soups and stews which are cheap to make, and are easy to do because I am a working girl, because of this little black dandy I have cut my food cost in half because i can just buy dry beans, rice, peas, lentils, and veggies in a big bags and can get about six meals worth for like less then 20 dollars depending on where you go I go to aldi and i can buy 2 weeks worth of groceries for about 50 bucks because i use my crockpot. I also like how easy it is to program so you do not end up burning your food as well and it is easy to clean because you can remove the stoneware, it was a bit pricey for me but it was definetly worth...
...

The Rival Crockpot is wonderful. I love mine. In my opinion its the best thing since sliced bread. Very little mess just a bit of chopping and you have a delicious meal that basically cooked it self. Yuu can make a variety of dishes with this for a very low price. I prefer the Rival brand myself. I bought this at Target for $19.99 and can feed up to 6 people . I recommend this brand in general. I know at Target they had smaller and larger in the Rival brand and the price ranged from $8.49 - about $69.99. Great for on the go families whether they are big or small. No mess , little prep and NO slaving over the stove
...

At the time with 4 young children, a full-time job, and not alot of time in the kitchen, I needed some extra help along the way. When I received my crock pot, i was so excited to try new recipes. My favorite is putting a big pot of chili in it at 8:00 a.m. and then leaving for work. When my kids arrived home from school around 4:00, there was chili for them to eat. This way they didn't snack on junk food, and they could eat an early dinner. The rival crock pot, has saved me many hours slaving in the kitchen. I can just fix it in the morning, and then forget about it all day at work. When I arrive home, "Dinner is Served." From pot roast with potatoes and carrots, to beef stroganoff, to chili, to chicken and rice, to barbeque chicken, and much more, my possibilities for dinner are endless. The amount of time I have saved to be able to do what I wish, is priceless.
...

I don't know what I would do without my Rival Crockpot. This is a great appliance to own. The best things about it are the removable pot - it's so easy to clean - I can actually just put the pot into the dishwasher when I'm done. I also love the different heat settings - which specifies how many hours it will take to cook something. This is so helpful when I'm calculating what time I want to serve the meal I'm cooking. If you've never used a crockpot, I don't know what you're waiting for! These are so easy to use, and the food comes out delicious!!! I use mine all the time! I've made roasts, chili, chicken, stews, cider, creamed corn . . . I can't even remember everything I've made in this crockpot! The crockpot comes with a hany recipe book to get you started. The crockpots also come in a variety of sizes to suit your family's needs. I've had mine for almost ten years and if it ever breaks I would buy another Rival crockpot in a heartbeat.
...

After having mentioned the fact that i would really like to try cooking with a slow cooker, I received a Crock-Pot as a christmas present about four years ago. I love it! It makes cooking so much easier! The day after I opened it I went to the bookstore and purchased a few cook books that are written for slow cooker use. My Crock-Pot has three heat settings, low, high, and warm. I have found through trial and error that the low setting is almost always the way to go. If you in a pinch for time you can use the high setting, the Crock-Pot holds in so much moisture that even on high it wont dry out the food. Low setting cooking just seems to make meat much more tender. The liners they make for slow cookers fit well and make for a very easy cleanup. Although clean up has never been much of a problem. I have never burnt anything in my Crock-Pot, the worst clean up is just the edges. If I would say anthing negative about it, it would have to be that it;s to small. I'd like to try a larger size...
...

I have had my Rival crock pot since I got married in 1990. It has a removable crock which can go in the dish washer. It has two settings: low and high. I use it at least two times a week and it has never disappointed me. I have recently switched to using crock pot liners for convenience, but the crock cleans up easily if you spray it lightly with cooking spray before hand. Most of the time, I prepare my meal the night before and place the entire crock in the refrigerator. The next morning, I simply place the crock in the pot, turn it on low, and it's ready to eat when we get home. I have cooked meat, soups, vegetables, and even some desserts in it. It is by far the best value appliance I own. I can't imagine not having my crock pot. If and when it finally stops, I'll probably go to the store that very day and buy the most similar Rival crock pot that I can find. (I also use the very small Rival crock pot during the holidays to keep dips warm--it works great!)
...
