JenniferCossel says "Rival's Stoneware Slow Cooker is great for busy moms!" about Rival Rival Stoneware Slow Cooker

I am not quite sure how my family would get a home cooked dinner if I didn't have my Rival Stoneware Slow Cooker. I have upgraded from the small version to a larger version with a timer and "auto shut-off/warming" feature. I find this feature very handy when I am running errands or have a busy day planned and want to prepare dinner in the cooker in the morning before I leave. When I was working full time I would often put together a dinner in the slow-cooker the night before and then just keep the stoneware part in the fridge overnight. In the morning I would put it in the cooker section, turn it on and be on my way with dinner waiting when I returned from work. I often prepare large roasts, meatballs, pork chops and various other dishes in this slow cooker. For large groups I will usually put a homemade BBQ sauce together, pour it over a large pork roast and let it go for most of the day. When guests arrive the house smells yummy and everyone can dig in...works great for big crowds.
...

The Kenmore Electronic Slow Cooker 68332 is a great asset for most working moms. It has an electronic timer which allows you to set it for one to ten hours; and it has a low, medium, high, and keep warm setting. When the timer runs out, it automatically changes the temperature setting to "keep warm". Furthermore, the deep removable dish makes it easier to keep messes contained and clean-up more efficent. Plus, the black color of the actual dish is soooooooooo nice because it doesn't show any of the stains that are inevitable with heavy use.

The downside of this product is that the stainless steal outside shell is more difficult to keep clean than other appliance materials. (It shows every fingerprint!) Because this part of the cooker contains the electrical parts, it can't be submerged in water which makes cleaning it a pain! Finally, if you are preparing meals for a family of four or more, then the size of this is good. However, I usually only cook for my husband and myself, so my meat...
...

I have owned other slow cookers in the past, but this one wins hands down. As a single mom with three young kids, crockpot meals are easy and quick and frequently end up on our menus. I love the large size of this model- it will hold meals to feed 7-8 people, but I as I often include vegetables with our pot roasts meals or something similar, the extra space is needed. My crockpot lives on my kitchen counter, so the fact that this model is totally gorgeous definetely helps! The stonewear crock is removeable (handy for pot luck suppers) and is dishwasher safe making clean up a breeze. Even handwashing (which is what I always do) is super easy, taking only minutes. There are three heat settings, a low, a high, and a warm. The warm setting is new to me, and is very handy. Sometimes the side dishes are not quite ready when the main course is done, so I like to set the heat down to warm, to prevent overcooking and getting cold! Overall, the crockpot is definetely worth the price, and would be...
...

My Crock pot brand slow cooker is awesome. It has four heat settings, plus after it has gone through its time for that setting, it switches over to a keep warm function. I make tea in it as well as meals, and it never gets too hot and the tea is always kept at the perfect temperature during parties for serving. It is so handy, I feel very safe in putting food in it and going to work and not worrying about it catching fire and burning down my house, or burning the food inside. Great for busy parents or people who work all day and don't really want to come home and work over the stove to have hot food prepared. Easy to clean too, all I do is run some hot water in it and add some soap, and use my cloth to rub off the food leftovers. Nothing sticks and I don't have to worry about teflon hurting me because it doesn't have teflon in it. It is also big enough to put a roast and potatoes in, at a good price.
...

I use my slow cooker for just about everything and the only thing that has not turned out very well was my bean soup. This is a great product I place the ingredients in before I go to work and when I get home dinner is ready. To save money you can purchase a lesser cut of meat and by cooking it all day it will have flavor and be fork tender. My favorite meal is a bone in turkey breast, I place a can of cream of chicken soup and a can of chicken broth in the slow cooker and then put the turkey breast in and add salt and pepper. By the end of the day the meat falls off the bone and is moist and tender.
...

The KiitchenAid KSC700GC 7-Quart Slow cooker, is very nice and clean looking. the food cooks slower in there but it turns out very good and cooked nicely. The food is just delicious. You can make rice in there and it turns out just perfect. I would prefer this one because KitchenAid is one of the best brands there is for kitchen supplies. i also like that its stainless steal because it looks nicer, and cleans perfect. if you buy the right cleaner. The only thing I dont like about this KitchenAid is that it takes a while for the food to cook. Who would'nt mind for it to cook fast and good. But I really like this product, it helps me a lot in the kitchen, i just put the rice in and it cooks on its own i dont have to look after it always. I would want all the people that are looking for a crockpot to buy this one. its one of a kind and the very best! You will love it and enjoy the meal after!
...

the Rival crock-pot is really nice. the size is great and i have the white one and it's really pretty and easy to clean. The inside part is stoneware and cooks food easily. I received it as a gift and it was one of the nicest that I received. I've made everything in it. If you are going to make meatball sauce, I would recommend backing the meatballs first and them add them to the sauce. But that is with any crockpot. my Mom has a Crock-pot ans she's had it for twenty years. It still works great. I don't know where my crock-pot was purchased but I know that you can get them at walmart or target which helps the budget. Rival is a name that is trusted in cookware over the years and, in my opinion, this crock-pot lives up to its name. I have a little dipper mini-pot that came with the big one. I haven't used it yet but it's the perfect size for dips and I'm sure that it works great for that purpose. I would recommend getting a crock-pot recipe book so that you can get great ideas and good...
...

When I moved into my first house last year, the first thing I asked my mom for was a Crockpot. I had seen how easy it was to prepare meals in hers, and knew that I needed one for myself. I am so glad that I asked for one. I use mine at least once a week, and I don't know what I would do without it. Due to a family allergy, it can be very hard for me to find foods that everyone in the house can eat. I can't serve many frozen or pre-packaged meals, so my Crockpot has been a lifesaver for us. It's especially helpful due to the fact that everyone in the house is always so busy. My soon to be husband works at least 40 hours a week, and I attend college full time, so juggling dinner can sometimes be a hassle for us. It can be very easy to just cave in and order out for dinner, but the Crockpot makes this expense unnecessary for us. Before I go to classes in the morning, I just put dinner in the Crockpot and let it do it's work for me. When I get home later that day, all I have to do is set the...
...

The Rival Crock Pot is an excellent slow cooker. It offers you the chance to make a complete meal in one pot. You can either cook the meal overnight or during the day while you're busy doing other things! The Rival has four settings, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours or 10 hours, as well as a "warm" setting.

I also like the fact that you can remove the crock pot bowl and use it for storing left overs in the refrigerator. This way you can cook enough for several meals and use the food for a quick bite at lunch, or save it and add a salad and make a quick dinner.

The Rival Crock Pot comes with an insulated cover that fits over the complete cooker with openings for the crock pot handles. This allows you to carry it to church or community potlucks or to family dinners.

The Rival is attractive enough to set on the table and serve your dinner directly from the crock pot.

I highly recommend the Rival Crock Pot to anyone interested in making cooking easier!

This rival slow cooker in my opinion is above average. I work with a couple of these for my job and they work good for what we need them for. Rival has created a simple and easy to understand concept. One knob that has three settings High, Low and Off. we use these slow cookers to keep products that we are handing out to consumers warm. they are on for about six hours a day and in the nine months that I have been there we have never had to replace even one. My only real complaint is that trying to handle the pot right after turning it off is difficult. If there was some type of handle it would be perfect. Price wise it is great. The price is under twenty bucks and as I said it's reliable. so if your looking for a cheep soulution to cooking this is a good choice for you. Also there are other sizes ranging from daisy pots to massive slow cookers that could cook a twenty pound roast.
...

I received the Rival 5.5 Qt Smartpot as a gift last fall and have used it several times.. I was having guests over for dinner on a Friday night a few weeks ago, so I made chili the night before, refrigerated it overnight in the crockpot and then left it in the slow cooker all day on Friday while I was at work. It was so nice to come home that afternoon and not have to worry about rushing to get dinner ready in time for my guests to arrive. I had it on the lowest setting all day, and it did get quite hot, but it was also on for about 10 hours without being stirred all day. All I had to do was stir it up when I got home and it was ready to be served when my guests arrived! Fairly easy clean-up with the removable pot too. What I really love about this crockpot is its fun red shimmering color. In the era of stainless steel where that seems to be what everyone has in their kitchen, I think this is a fun color to punch up the kitchen with some color when I have it out.
...

jrsurveys says "Hottest slow cooker around" about Hamilton Beach slow cooker crock pot sc24

Let me start by saying I am no cook!! I have no time and maybe cook a good meal once a week. To save time and for big crowds, I use my Hamilton Beach slow cooker. Slow cookers are a great way to get supper done without doing alot of work. I use mine often for chili, soup, party dips, even gravy for biscuits and gravy in the mornings.

What I love about my Hamilton Beach slow cooker is that it is oval shaped and the handles lock in place. The oval shape is great for when I am making stews or other meals where I have lots of meat. It all fits in this cooker, unlike the round shaped slow cookers that just seem to have no room.

The other thing that is great is the locking handles. How many times have you been transporting a dish to a family function or work function and the slow cooker flips or falls over in your car. Try getting meatballs with grape jelly out of the carpet of your car, it's no fun. With the lock in place lid on my Hamilton Beach slow cooker, I don't have...
...

I recieved my hamilton beach 6 quart slow cooker as a gift from homescan. I recieved in the mail. When i received it I was not familiar with the hamilton beach product line. I quickly became one of their fans. This slow cooker has many quality that my old slow cookers do not have. I love that it is removalable and also can be taken when you are on the move. It includes a snap on spoon. Everything in one. It is perfect for taking to a picnic , a friends house. You can take it anywhere you go. It removes from the base, making it easy to clean. This cooker has 4 setting including warm. It is a great product. I am so happy with this item. I used it the first night. I put in a beautiful pork roast. It cooked all night. In the morning it was perfectly cooked, Falling apart. I then put it on warm and it stayed at the perfect temperature until lunchtime, When i served it with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was so easy I used it again 2 days later. I hope if you have the chance to purchase this...
...

When our old slow cooker went out my wife sent me to the store to purchase a new one. Our old one was a 5 quart and it just did not seem big enough for our 3 adult and 2 child family. I looked and compared all the crock pots in the store then called my wife for advice. She told me to buy the this 6 quart smart pot, it has a timer on the front. It will cook for a period of time and then turn itself down to warm only. If you want to cook longer you can reset the pot. However, the time set by the manufacturer seems to be just right for whatever we can throw in this pot. It was also priced very reasonably for the size of the pot. The only drawback to this pots is our skinny cabinet doors will not allow us to store this pot inside of the cabinet as we did the old one.
...

I have grown up with crock-pots and LOVE them. Crock pots are so handy when you are going to a party and need to bring a dish or even if your just getting off a late shift and know you are not going to want to cook when you get home. I love being able to put things in the crock-pot and walk away without the fear that my house is going to burn down or I am going to burn dinner. I frequently take my crock pot to parties with food so that I can bring hot food. The only downer to the crock-pot I have is the fact that the lid still can come off. I know that there are crock-pots that have locking lids, but I have yet to get one. My favorite thing about crock-pots is that I know I won't be burning dinner. Having a daughter, full time job, and a house to maintain makes a crock-pot make sense. I also love that I can prepare dinner before I go to work and when I get home from my shift it is ready to eat and all I have to do is grab a bowl!
...

I love this crock pot. I have had many. This one has three settings. Low for four hours, low for six hours. High for eight hours, high for ten hours. Then there is a warm setting. When your recipe calls for six hours cooking time and you are not home in time to shut it off it keeps cooking after the six hours. This crock pot will cook for six hour and then switch to the warm setting so the food will not keep cooking. Then the food is not over cooked, which sometimes the crock pots will do . I hope this will help in your survey.
...

I'm a busy person. Between taking care of my daughter, keeping up with a social life, and going to work, it can be hard to breath, let alone spend an hour every evening cooking dinner. The Smart Pot makes my culinary life so much easier!

My family has a tradition of buying newliweds a crock pot to help them through their first year, and now I see why! It's so easy to throw something in the crock pot in the morning, set it on "low" (an 8-hour setting), and come home from work to a good, hot meal. If I'm at home and want something faster, I can set in on "high" (a 4-hour setting), and spend time with my family, cleaning the house, and getting on with my life instead of being stuck at the stove- something that's nearly impossible as a new mom!

One thing I love about this crock pot is the removable stonewear. Along with it being pretty stylish (no stencils, flowers, or country themes that scream "old lady" here!), I can transport the meal to a friend's house for game night without having...
...

I adore my Hamilton Beach classic chrome 5 quart slow cooker! I have owned this slow cooker for about two years and it is wonderful! I had never cooked anything in one prior to owning one but now it is invaluable in my kitchen. I use it to cook everything. Some of the things that I like are cooking beans from dried. I put them with water in the slow cooker to soak and then change the water and cook them on low for about 9 hours. I have also used it to make delicious homemade yogurt! I followed directions I found online. I have also made a variety of meals such as chili, baked pasta, and a variety of soups. The low setting works very effectively for cooking items for a long time without burning them. The ceramic insert is removable and easy to clean. I definitely recommend it!
...
