I purchased a Black and dwcker coffee summer of 2008 for less than twenty dollars and was very pleased with it. It did not leak and brewed great coffee. I love my coffee and was disappointed when it finally gave out after aprx. 18 months. I purchased another Black and decker this time for over forty dollars and the box said spill proof carafe. Not true, it not only leaks very, very badly when pouring, it also has a tendency to leak as it is brewing. I am very disappointed. I paid over twice as much and got a coffee maker of far less quality. If this pot lasts long enough to save money I am hoping to see a great improvment in the next model. Untill this model(cm1010b) I preferred B and D over Mr. Coffee any day. thank you very much. Marguerite Frazier Ky.
...

thisiswhatisay says "morning coffee" about BonJour 8 cup french press

this glass french press pot is used every morning to make coffee. i use a hot water heater instead of boiling water in a kettle. it always makes the best coffee, and it tastes quite different from coffee dripped from paper filters. there is a little oil on the top of the coffee because of the oil content not getting strained out by the paper. i ue a coarse grind because it seems to work better. if the grind is too fine, you will run the risk of having to push the plunger extra hard to get it to go down. the grinds can create a vaccuum. the caraffe has broken 3 times since i bought it, and the replacements seem to get more expensive every time. if you are going to buy this product, which i got at about 50 dollars, i would recommend the cost of replacement caraffes (at about 20 dollars each). otherwise, another option is to get an unbreakable one, which i think is made of a weird plastic material that might leech nasty flavors into your coffee.
...

This is our second Brew Central coffee maker. The first one quit after 5 years, but was used at least twice a day so I thought it did pretty well keeping up with demand.

It keeps time and you can set it to have coffee ready for you when you wake up, or at any time of the day or night that you choose.

It will notify you when you need to run the cleaning feature and it also has a nice option of preheating the water for smaller pots of coffee like 1-4 cups.

I like that there is an option to get the surface that isn't chrome as it doesn't show fingerprints as the chrome one did.

I highly recommend this coffee pot and was able to use a 20% off coupon on it at Bed, Bath and Beyond making it even less expensive than the advertised $85.

My only complaint is the water filters. I hate changing them, but when I do I'm always glad that it's there because it catches sand from our well water and I wouldn't want that going through the coffe machine, or much less into my coffee!

I have had a Keurig Elite for a little over a year and it was always noisy and then after descaling it this last time it would only produce a partial cup of coffee. I tried to descale a couple of times to no avail. I emailed customer service and described my problem and after a couple of emails was put in touch with an agent and after reviewing the problem she told me Keurig was sending me a new Elite Brewer! I received it in a matter of days and it works perfectly and is allot quieter than the first brewer. Obviously my first brewer was a lemon and this happens with any product, but the outstanding thing about Keurig was the customer care and service! Not to mention that their product is wonderful. My daughter also has a Keurig and loves it! Thank you Keurig! I am able to totally enjoy my brewer!!
...

I love this coffeemaker. It does not have a pot that needs to be clean or can break. It dispenses one cup at a time. It keeps the coffee hot for a long period of time. You fill it with water at the top of the brewmaster and coffee grounds just like any other type of coffeemaker, but it does not have a pot. When the coffee is brewed and you want a cup you just put your cup on the coffee maker and push it in and it dispenses your coffee into that one cup. It keeps the coffee hot for a very long time and you can go back anytime you want and dispense your next cup of coffee. It is tall enough so that you can fit a tall travel mug under it to dispense the coffee into. It has a window to show you how much coffee is left in the caraffee. It is very nice looking so you can leave it out on the counter all the time, in fact it is nicer looking than a regular coffeemaker because it does not have the pot on it. Also, the coffee does not burn by sitting on the hot plate all...
...

Using my KitchenAid coffee maker makes me feel real good because when I recieve company everyone tells me I make good coffee. It makes very good coffee and I feel good about that. It also has a setting on it to tell me how long the coffee pot has benn left on after brewing. It makes the best coffee ever and we love it.

Before buying the keurig I could not make a decent cup of coffee to save my life. I was going daily to dunkin donuts to buy a cup of coffee sometimes twice a day at $1.80 a cup plus gas to get there and back. Although the keurig is pricey it is so worth the money. I have only had a week and have been using it daily. I got a great deal on it at kohls on sale and with their extra percent off coupon it cost me about $60. I figure in a month it will have paid for itself. There are a variety of k cups available for it including tea and hot chocolate. It's easy to use and clean. It shuts off 2 hours after the last brew. It makes a great tasting cup of coffee every time. Just take the k-cup out and throw it in the garbage after you are done brewing and poof it's clean. No fuss no muss. My kids love the hot chocolate and they use it daily as well. I was skeptical at first but it is so worth the money. I highly recommend this product for you or your coffee lover.
...

chalkboardgreen says "Coffee in a Flash" about Keurig Platinum B70 Single Cup Brewer

Is the Keurig Platinum single cup brewer worth the inflated price? No I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would want to shell out over $150.00 on this machine.

I'll start with the pros. Its easy to use and it makes coffee fast.Who wouldn't want coffee in an instant. Its also easy to clean, just rinse. There are no messy filters to dispose or lots of part to clean out.So you really can have coffee on the go and not worry about the effort to clean up like a regular coffee maker.

But this machine is so overpriced for want it does.

So these are cons.I feel the temperature of the coffee should be hotter. The largest setting is for the thermal travel cup and it doesn't fill it.You have to buy Kcups to have coffee.Going through the 12 cup samples I really only like one coffee.I would not know which coffee to order until I invested some money into trying out the different available coffees. And some coffees they offer would mean each cup you make are $1.00 a cup.not practical on a budget.They...
...

Mr coffee maker is one of the most popular coffee maker brands around today. It can be bought for a very reasonable price at just about any retail store around. Extra coffee carafes are easily available in case your should crack or break. Also permanent coffee filter baskets are available at a very reasonable price at just about any store around. Paper coffee filters can also be used and are also easily available, but i prefer the permanent basket to save on paper products. All you have to do to brew the perfect cup of coffee is measure out your coffee and fill the coffee filter basket. Open the top and pour the premeasured water into the top, shut the top and push the brew button. In just a very few minutes you will have your very own cup of fresh brewed coffee. You can use any amount of coffee grinds you prefer to make your coffee any where from strong to weak. You will be guaranteed a perfect cup of coffee everytime.
...

The ease and non-messy way to have just one cup of coffee at a time is just wonderful! I love that I don't have a coffee pot and filter to mess with and clean every day. I can have a small cup or a full cup, too. I have tried the other kinds of coffee makers at different times since I got my Melitta, but I always go back to the Melitta. The coffee tastes so good and I can make it so quick at any time of the day. I just wish the stores would have more of a selection of coffee pods that would fit my machine. I think more people would purchase one if they had a variety of coffee pods at the grocery store.
...

Mer506 says "The Farberware 12 cup percolator tops all others!" about Farberware 12 cup coffee maker

Married to a coffee lover, and being one myself, it's great to have a good cup of coffee in the morning... and after dinner, too. The aroma just fills the air, and that first sip is as pleasant as it smells.

The Farberware 12 cup percolator is our favorite coffee maker, hands down. There are other brands that are less expensive, but it's well worth the few extra bucks. This pot makes great coffee, and it keeps it hot until the last pour. No 'burnt' flavor, even with the last cup.

The coffee basket doesn't need a filter (we use regular grind, you may need one for fine ground coffees), and cleaning it is easy. This product lasts for years and it's well worth the cost. It's convenient to use, pouring is easy with the generous handle, and there are no drips after a cup is poured.

The sound of the coffee perking is another plus... you know that great cup of coffee will be in your hands soon. Once the sound is gone, it's time to pour!

I highly recommend the Farberware 12 cup percolator. ...
...

The Cook's Essentials Coffee Maker is a top choice in my book. It is super easy to use, and makes a great cup of coffee. The only problem I've had with my coffee maker, is the locking mechanism for the filter/basket, which should be make somewhat stronger and durable. The machine is not quite as fast as some that are on the market, but is not so slow as to deter anyone from buying the coffee maker, in my opinion. I've owned my coffee pot for several years now, and still use it almost every day. I would strongly recommend this coffee maker to anyone who wants the ability to grind their own beans at home, and not have the hassle of buying and changing paper coffee filters. This coffee maker has several functions that make it a great choice, such as the automatic function in which you can have everything ready to begin brewing before you are ready for your first cup. If mine were to stop working today, I would have no problem replacing it with the same machine.
...

Hi, I would just like to say a little something about this black and decker coffee maker....

Will my husband and I bought this coffee maker about a year ago for a great price on last years black friday and we just love it. As a busy mom of 3 boys, I don't always remember the small things, and this coffee maker has a timer. Witch is great. Also funny story...I have the coffee maker next to my oven and one morning is was a little to close to my skillet and it melted a big hole in the back of my coffee maker. My husband quickly unplugged it and took it off. And We thought is was for sure not going to work. But one morning, (By the way I'm the type of girl that needs her coffee) Anyways I plugged it back in hoping some how it would still work. And it did! Will it's been quite a few months now that the coffee maker has been like that and it still works great. I love my coffee maker even though it has a big hole in it. Lol
...

I love my Senseo Coffee Pod System. It is very convenient and I like the fact that you can make one cup of coffee at a time. I don't like making a full pot of coffee, and then not drinking it all, and then I have to throw the rest of it away. I even bought a small holder that you can put a little filter in the bottom of it, and this allows you to brew any type coffee you choose to use in it. I can brew specialty coffees that I love and not have to always buy the pods that only contain one type of coffee. The pods for this system come in all varieties. They have decaffinated ones and also flavored ones. I just like the freedom of choice of using whatever type of coffee I want for that day, and making a cup of it. It's very easy to use. First you put the water in the plastic container for as many cups of coffee you want. Then you put a coffee pod in the unit or if you have the other holder, then you put the coffee you want in it. Next you push the brew button, for one cup or two cups. Then...
...

Changrita says "Keurig is great for a busy person who has limited time." about Keurig Keurig Platinum Model #B70

I have enjoyed the Keurig ever since I got one for myself. I am a busy person but the Keurig makes easy to have a cup of coffee without having to wait to the coffee drips in a carafe. Coffee is not wasted. You get to choose your cup size and not waste coffee by brewing too much. I can also brew tea. I use the Keurig to make hot water for hot chocolate. The Keurig does not take up a lot space on my counter top. I have compared it to my 12 cup coffee pot. With the my 12 cup, when I make coffee in it for myself, I wasted a lot of coffee. I have been totally satisfied with the experience I have in using the Keurig. I would recommend this product to my family and friends. I would not trade this product in for nothing. It has been great. You can buy the individual coffee K cup. These K cup comes in a variety of flavors. I do not have to drink the same flavor of coffee everyday. You can use a reusable filter instead of just using the K cups.
...

laurelp1952 says "Best I've owned!" about Hamilton Beach BrewStation Plus 12 Cup Coffee Maker

No caraf! So, no breaking, dripping! You can still fill a thermos because the brewed coffee holder has a handle and easily lifts out, has a pour spout too. I use that to fill the maker with water so I can be sure I am not overfilling.

I like the "enhanced flavor" option, how easy it is to set the clock and the timer. You can put it under a cabinet, but needs to be pulled out to lift the lid to fill with water and load the coffee filter basket. I have had mine for two years now without any problems whatsoever and if I ever need to replace it, I hope they are still making these! The price is really average for a quality coffee maker....

budderbean says "fairly reliable and easy to use" about Hamilton Beach coffee maker

This coffee maker has been fairly reliable since i bought it to replace my old unit.. Though it doesnt have many features like the more expensive units have it completes the task it was meant to do. The timer on my unit does seem to have a mind of its own working when it wants to and at times the actual time changes without warning. It makes it hard to set the timer so I usually just get up and fix my coffee before i go to work without setting the timer. It does make a quite decent cup of coffee and i have tried to make hot chocolat with it that did turn out quite good. just add marshmellos and enjoy. I think for the money this unit even with its flaws serves its purpose and is a good value for its money. I would recommend this unit .
...

My partner bought me a Black and Decker 8 cup thermal coffeemaker for Christmas last year (2008). It looked really nice but once we used it we were suprised. In our old coffee maker, we only had to use 3 scoops of coffee to get the desired taste for a 12 cup pot. Now with this one we have to use 4 scoops to even get close to the taste. It came equiped with a timer, so that your coffee would be ready when you wake up, and that only worked the first time we used it. No matter what we try, the timer does not work. All it does is tell you the time of day! I have clocks for that. It says the water fill markings are easy to read, but they are not, and there is an overfill hole in the back of the pot that, when overfilled, because you can not tell when it is filled, spills water all over my counter top. This is a constant mess, especially when he makes coffee! We constantly have to keep a pan on the stove to reheat the coffee because after a half an hour, the coffee is...
...

You use k-cups that come inover twoo hundred flavors You can make coffee hot chocolate tea or just hot water The unit is easy to use very easy to clean it has a very large water reserve that is see through. It comes with a water filter to filter tap water. When the water reserve is low a light will blink It is very easy to understand . Then a Brew sign will light up on a digital panel telling you the coffee tea or hot chocolate is brewing. Once complete it tell you it is ready to serve. More water goes from the reserve to the holding tank were it is automatically being heated up for the next cup. This takes less than a minute.
