iamsears says "Stylish and functional without breaking the bank!" about Cuisinart Grind & Brew Thermal Coffee Maker

A friend bought me the Cuisinart Grind & Brew Thermal Coffee Maker last Christmas after she was sick of me complaining about my old coffee maker's leaky and hard-to-clean carafe. It's probably the only holiday gift that I am still using; I love it!! It solves all my old coffee problems. It is so stylish, like all Cuisinart items, but more importantly, it works. I use this thing every day and have never had a problem (7 months into owning it). Since I normally buy ground coffee, I don't use the coffee grinder feature very often, but it works very well and makes the process of brewing a pot of coffee from whole beans soooo easy! One of my pet peeves on my old coffee maker was that it would burn coffee if it sat on the heating element too long. This coffee maker has an adjustable temperature setting so that you never have the burnt coffee taste! Even with all the features of this machine, it has a clean and functional appearance and has a very reasonable price. — —...

I bought the Cuisinart because of the reviews I read while shopping for a new coffeemaker. My old one just wasn't keeping the coffee hot. Don't have to worry about that with this one!! The adjustable temp. warming plate is great. The coffee is delicious, I am VERY happy with is product!!!!! The only draw back for me (I'm quite short,5' ) is the cup markings on the inside of the water reservoir are hard to see. I use the markings on the pot,and that seems to be...

I can't count how many carafes my husband and I replaced when we bought our first French Press. We found one made of plastic but it didn't hold up well and would make the coffee taste funny after a while. We finally found this one by Frieling at Williams-Sonoma a few years ago, and have loved it ever since. Now I don't have to cringe and pick up broken glass out of the sink because I accidentally banged it against the...

We've had ours for 4 years now and it's one of the best appliance investments we've ever made. Between my husband and I, we'd go through two pots of coffee a day easy (that's close to 20 cups of coffee!), mostly consumed by him. When we bought the Senseo, our consumption was cut back dramatically, yet we still enjoy coffee when we want it. No more wasted pots of coffee that sat on the heater for too...

terriebari says "More expensive but less waste" about Keurig Elite B40 Coffee Maker

I LOVE my Keurig brewer! — — Because Keruig makes each cup fresh, (the cups are actually mini filers, sealed individually), the coffee tastes far better than coffee made from a can or package that has been sitting around for awhile. Coffee made from this brewer always tastes like the first cup from a new package of coffee. — — I used to make a pot of coffee in the morning, and I always ended up pouring half of it down the sink. this doesn't happen with my Keurig, since one makes a single cup at a time. There is no waste with Keurig, no guessing on the water to coffee ratio, either. Coffee is always consistently brewed. — — The only drawback is the cost of the cups. but, if you search around, many online companies sell the coffee at a dicsount. —...

I love my Keurig Premium Coffee System B70! I never would have purchased this for myself, I think it is out of my budget for a coffee maker. But since I was given this (thank you very much) I was very excited to try it out. Being practical and let's say, frugal, I was skeptical that this would work as good as it looks. It is quite fancy looking with it's blue back-lights and sleek, shiny design. A little out of place in my humble kitchen, it definitely makes my Black n Decker, cup-at-a-time envious! Since I rarely entertain (guests, that is), I always use a cup at a time maker. I have a large Krups I use at holidays. This Kuerig will be fine for that now too, as it works very quickly and it will be nice to be able to make a cup of decaf or flavored coffee for whoever wants it. The Keurig B70 works with K-cups, (little cups filled with coffee)that fit into a holster. Then hot water is forced through two holes made...

OK, so this doesn't have the instantaneous quality that Americans seem to demand. However, if you've ever wondered why you can't make espresso as well at home as you can get at the espresso shop, then blame your own impatience! Besides, there is something to be said about ritual when it comes to the things we treasure... — — I'm an espresso fanatic, total junkie and self-proclaimed connoisseur that wouldn't bother having it at home if I couldn't make it significantly better than a store bought cup. Less than excellence just will not fly in my house, and drips aren't even allowed through the door! I can't even remember the last time I drank a drip; but I suspect the last time I drank something other than espresso, it was probably French Press. Plus, drip coffee gives me gut-wrenching rot, so I'd rather go without if need be. I may be an addict, but I'm a very picky addict too! — — Ritual is a very important part of this particular process for me, and this...
