It took me awhile to purchase the magic bullet blender because of the cost. When I finally did, I love it! I like to make healthy drinks and smoothies for breakfast and Im the only one that drinks them. So its nice to have something where I dont have to waste making a big pitcher full. It saves money too. Then I can buy smaller amounts of the ingrediants I need. It works like a charm. Im still trying new things on it, but I love it best for my smoothies. A friend talked me into it and I am sure glad that he did. It looks small but it does so many things. You would think because its small it couldnt handle bigger jobs but I was surprised that I could crush ice without it burning the motor up or something. Its been really convenient to have. To bring out to crush cracker crumbs for pies or nuts for toppings. Things like that. I really like it. It is a little higher priced than other blenders. About 60 dollars. But I used layaway and paided less than 10 dollars every few weeks . So that...
...

I bought this blender about 6 months ago and so far so good! I bought it because i was like in this health kick and became addicted to healthy smoothies! Well its an overall great blender for smoothies if thats what you are interested in.

It has 8 buttons on the front. On the first row are STIR CHOP MIX PUREE and LIQUEFY.....when i make my smoothies i use the PUREE button..The second row consists of PULSE OFF and ICE CRUSH.

I love this blender so much! The container thing on the top is made out of glass and the lid fits wonderfully! Glass is much better than plactic and last way longer! The container can hold up to 56 oz or 7 cups. It also has a handle and a spout but i think most blenders have those hahahaha....check out the picture that i attached...

The cord is about 2.5 feet long which perfect for a blender i think...Also, I noticed that it stays put when i blend and doesnt hop around like other crappier blenders....
...

I just love my Vita-mix whole food machine. It is a total nutrition center, where you can put the whole food, chop it up and blend it, and still have 100% of the nutrients still a part of your food. There are so many things the Vita-mix can do, from soups, salsas, whole food juices and smoothies. My favorite is smoothies, actually a Green Smoothie, where you mix your greens with your fruits. My daughter, who doesn't like vegetables, actually loves the green smoothies. The vita-mix is one way to get your kids to eat their vegetables without them realizing there are vegetables that they are eating.

My husband enjoys making his protein shakes in the vita-mix after a workout. It blends and chops so evenly, and makes the process easy. I even saw at a demonstration that the blade on the vita-mix is so strong that it can chop a piece of wood. That was amazing.

I am all about easy and convenience, and the vita-mix is one kitchen appliance that I love having.

I Have used the Black and decker 10 speed blender it works good and the price is also ok.

I had a problem after using it for some 3 months with the blade assembly set, first the customer service representative was not helpful.

I would say i had used it pretty hard, but later when i called they are helpful and replaced the blade assembly set and i am able to use it as usual.

I would recommend this as a basic blender for any one.

this is not too costly and previously i have never used a blender so i cannot compare this with some others.but i think that this is good enough for students and families alike.

The color I am using is white and I think that it looks great.

I would recommend this for any one looking for a basic blender at an affordable price.

I brought this on buy.com but i think you can buy at any walmart or local stores which sell household items at reasonable prices the warrenty is for 1 year.

By the way this has a single Jar.

I like this blender. So far I haven't had any problems. It's very easy to clean. I like the glass jar. It's simple to use, easy to take apart for cleaning, although the base is plastic it is very strong and the gear for the blade in the base is metal unlike the higher end more expensive models which use a plastic or nylon gear. And still, the base is not flimsy and something that can easily break. It really is designed very well with a nice weight to stay put on your counter when blending. It won't be tipping over. Also I really love the fact that the jar itself is actual glass and not some plastic. With a nice heavy weight to it.

I can really see this blender lasting a very long time. Excellent design and construction. Powerful motor. Easy cleaning. Big enough to get the job done but not to big to take up alot of counter space. Metal gear to last a long time. Actual thick glass jar. And priced unbelievably low.
...

The Osterizer 14-speed all metal drive blender is durable. I love the glass pitcher. It cleans well and remains pretty--unlike a polycarbonate pitcher which clouds and gets ugly after several uses. The blade is very durable (can crunch completely frozen strawberries). It has 14 speeds...pulse, blend, chop, puree, mince, grate, beat, blend, shred, cream, grind, liquefy, whip and mix. I do not have a food processor and previously, I always cut my nuts up by hand. However, the other day I used the chop setting on the blender and it worked EXACTLY like a food processor! It was amazing and I am so happy that I got this blender.

It was also a very reasonable price--$25 at Walmart. I expect that it will have a long lifetime. I have had it for 6 months and I use it almost daily. It has shown no wear and tear yet. I also wash the pitcher, blade and other attachments in the dishwasher--it is completely dishwasher safe and has had no effects on the parts. My only complaint is that it does tend to...
...

I was in need of a new blender and didn't want to spend a whole lot.I finally found this Oster 10 speed blender for $19.99 (on sale, $24.99 original price) If your looking for a blender for general usage and have a habit of breaking things, this is the blender for you.It comes with a 6 cup plastic jar and can take it's licks! It has an all metal drive for durability and is 450 watts for ice crushing if you like frozen drinks or smoothies. It breaks down easily for quick cleaning and reusing. The base is your basic white and has 10 speeds(high and low plus-grate,blend,grind, liquify.puree, chop, whip, mix, pulse and ice crush)It also has a quick clean button, to save time during usage. There are 4 blades-2 that tilt up and 2 down for consistent mixing or blending. The top is rubber, for a tight seal, but easy fit.It has a removable base for easy cleaning too. There is a removable feeder cap to add ingredients while blending and a sealing ring for a tight seal and of course it is leak proof. It has...
...

I've never been so pleased with an appliance in my life. I searched and searched for a blender for our wedding registry and was disappointed at the limited options found at retail stores like Macy's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, and Crate & Barrel. Nothing was reasonably priced and still reliable. There were some "good looking" options, but I don't care about looks if the power isn't there.

I'm a lover of smoothies and margaritas. I use my blender at least 3-4 time per week. I wanted something I could throw whole ice cubes in and it would crush them instantly. Well, I found the machine I was looking for! This baby packs some power!

Originally, my husband found the blender online after hearing my complaints and commenting that Jamba Juice and other smoothie places never seem to have a problem with clogging... having to stir the contents with a spoon, opening the top to have the contents splash all over you... if you're a blender-lover like me, you know what I'm talking about! So, he scoured...
...

I really love my Chris Freytag Personal Fitness Blender. I looked for several years for a blender that would chop ice and make smoothies and such but most I found were huge turbo blenders that you had to lug out every time I wanted to make something. Or little budjet blenders that wouldn't even cut through frozen fruit. This blender is amazing. It has a 350-watt motor and ice crushing blades that can mix fruits, veggies, and ice. It has two speeds and a pulse dial and measures about 13 inches high by five inches in diameter. Just big enough to leave out and lightweight enough to bring out again after holiday guests are gone. It won't sit and collect dust like that monster in the back cupboard you never use!

The mug on the Personal Fitness Blender has its own lid and detaches after you make your drink so it is designed to be taken along with you. It fits in nearly every style of car cupholder and cleans up easily. One full mug of smoothie could actually serve two but if you want to make...
...

We were buying new blenders ever couple of months because the motors would die - so we finally gave in and bought an expensive one. I got mine on sale at Williams Sonoma (who offers a lifetime warranty on everything they sell) for about $120. This was a big expense for us, but definitely worth it. Ours has been going now for about four years. It is loud and the only options are: hi,lo, or pulse. But, it has worked for everything we've needed it for. It looks great still - easy to clean since the blender part is attached to the glass jar - no weird plastic pieces to lose or worry about whether they're screwed on all the way.

We love our waring blender and after the first year and a half, it's been saving us money - every few months that it keeps going strong, our investment is more worth it.

Pros: pretty, works, easy to clean, nice jar - markings are easy to read

cons: noisy ( and the up-front cost)
...

This blender has so many uses. It will chop nuts, vegetables, or fruits in either a fine or coarse texture. It will crumble bread, cookies, and crackers. It crushes ice and emulsifies dressings. It will grate citrus peels, grind hard cheese, spice and herbs, or meat and poultry. It is good for mixing the batters of cakes and pancakes. It's equally good to mix sandwich spreads. I've used it to reconsitute frozen juices and powdered milk as well as to whip cream. When my children were younger I used it to make baby food, and a friend of my mother's uses one like it to prepare food for an invalid husband. I've made wonderful milk shakes and sodas with it. My husband uses it for cocktails and frozen daiquiris. It came with a great cook book that describes how do all these thing plus many more. It's very easy to operate. Requires little care and is easy to take apart for cleaning. It is one of the most used kitchen appliances that I have.
...

I purchased the magic bullet and was pleasantly surprised! This little guy was so much more than a blender/chopper/mixer/etc! It makes the best smoothies in the world; better than any smoothie place. I just add frozen mixed fruit, a little bit of orange or apple juice and a banana and voila....the best smoothie you will ever taste! The magic bullet isn't just for smoothies though, it makes an amazing frozen coffee drink just like at those coffee joints, but these don't cost you a fortune! Clean up is a breeze. Just rinse the blender cup in the sink or toss it in the dishwasher. There is literally no clean up to stress over. The cups have convenient handles so you can just blend and go. There are different colored rings that can be put on the cups so they are easily identified. Great for parties or get togethers. Keep the same cup all night long and create your own alcoholic concoction! No need to worry about wasting money on plastic cups just to be thrown away. The magic bullet is one...
...

I've had it for a couple of years & I've used it nearly everyday...sometimes several times a day!!!! It's great for smoothies, custom coffee blends, nut milks, nut butters, soups, fruit & vegetable juices, pancake batters, syrups....you get the point....it's great for everything!!!!!!! I can't say enough about how wonderful this blender is!!!!!!! The best part is; after all of those things you can make...it's super easy to clean!!!!! :D

The only small complaint I have is that while The Vita-Mix comes with a 7 year warranty, it didn't cover the tamper when I needed a replacement. One of my friends' kids put my tamper in the dishwasher when I wasn't paying attention & it fell to the bottom during the cycle, burning a hole in it & making it unusable. I called Vita-Mix for a replacement & I was told that it wasn't covered by the warranty because they're not supposed to go in the dishwasher...I was a little disappointed,...
...

I got the Hamilton Beach 10 Speed blender as a birthday present, oddly enough (don't worry ~ I requested it as a present). After I started using it, though, I was more than a bit disappointed. It's rather fussy, won't blend smoothly if the food isn't weighty enough, and often needs to be baby-sat. As examples, I tried to make 1 can of garbanzo beans worth of hummus, and it ended up being far too gritty. It worked better with two cans, but I only cook for myself, so it would go bad before I could use it all. In another case, I tried to make a slushie for myself, and I had to stand over the blender with a spoon to keep pushing down the ice. The name advertises "10 Speed," but it seems like it only has two speeds - loud and louder. There are also two more buttons that do the same thing, which is, you have to stand there and hold them down if you want to blend. This is useful, for like I said, if you have to turn it off every few seconds anyway, you may as well hold the button down yourself....
...

I got this stick blender because I have a 4 year old smoothie addict and I got tired of cleaning out the big blender a couple of times a day. This thing is great - it makes a perfect smoothie in no time. It's plenty powerful and handles any fruits (even apples) with ease. I haven't used it for sauces and soups as the other reviewers do because I don't know how to make any, but it makes a killer smoothie. The bottom part (the business end) is all stainless steel and detaches easily for cleaning. I don't do this. I just run it in a cup of warm, sudsy water without detaching. The handle is plastic (I wish it had been metal) but it has a nice ergonomic shape and the power button is well placed. One caution: this is not for kids to use! Unlike those hand held beverage "whippers" that look similar, the blades on this thing are wicked SHARP! Really! Also, read the instructions before you use it. Be sure NOT to turn it on until the blades are well submerged into the food or you'll be cleaning food...
...

I have this same blender in a clear red plastic base. The bottom tends to leak liquid and the plastic container doesn't rest very securely in the motorized base. Mechanical failures aside, the plastic pitcher doesn't clean well- I mostly used this blender for smoothies and found that, no matter how much I scrubbed, the pitcher always had gross fruit bits stuck to the plastic. Don't waste your time or money on this thing. I'm throwing mine out and buying a model with a glass pitcher and more reliability. It was not what i expected, and i would not reccomend it at all. Another complaint is that the lid of the blender is very poorly made and warped in the dishwasher. Also, the middle part of the lid fell into the blender and was pureed into my soup while I was blending it. That's a major design flaw.

It finally died after about 4 years of fairly heavy usage. The motor still works, but the stem that spins snapped off. Instead of replacing it though, i am going to go buy a better one, that will...
...

cn1017 says "Great blender- easy to use" about Waring Pro PBB

The blender is one of the best I've ever had, surpasses other plastic blenders. I previously had a plastic blender which cracked when I tried to blend a soup-- the blender cracked under the heat and exploded all over my kitchen. The container is made of glass, which means you can use it to blend soups/hot foods without the worry of cracking.

The blender design itself is very nice, and it's available in many colors/finishes.

The blender is great for smoothies and crushes ice very well. No need to buy separate margarita blenders, etc.

It's easy to use.. the blade is within the glass, so you can stick it in the dishwasher without taking off the blades, which is also good from a safety standpoint.

This is a very good brand, even if you dont get the PBB series, Waring is a trusted brand for blenders and recommended by many. I also have their meat slicer and we've had no problems with it.
...

Pmemoli says "I've had this blender forever! And I'm not nice to it either!" about KitchenAid Pro Blender

This is the best blender ever!!! I was hesitant to even buy a blender because my friends' blenders were always breaking. So I decided I'd get the blender that I saw all the TV cooks using. The all had the Kitchen Aid blender. It was something $99, and this was back in 2003, and I had a rebate, so I it was like 89, with the tax (they still do the rebate! I did the rebate last year on another kitchen aid item) Well worth it. I abuse this thing like crazy, I've ground oats into flour (which I probably shoudln't have done), made the best smoothies and sorbets, and hummus, and it still works after all these years. It is important to have enough liquid or it all accumulates on the sides, but you can also push down with a spatula.
...

babers says "This is a powerful 2 in 1 machine" about Cuisinart Cuisinart SmartPower Duet Blender/Food Processor

The Cuisinart smartpower duet Blender/ food processor is an excellent product and well worth the money. After buying and using cheaper blenders that would not even mix up a dip or crush ice, this has been a dream to have and use. The blender pitcher is made of Heavy glass and has measurements on the side up to 5 cups and 40 oz. , 1 1/4 L or 1250 ml. The lid is plastic with a removable center for pouring in ingredients while running the blender. The pitcher also has a handle and stainless still blade. The bottom base of the blender/ food processor has 9 buttons which include: stir, chop, mix, ice crush, on, off, pulse, food processor and pur'ee. The power cord stores inside of the base as well. The food processor part is see through plastic and holds 3 cups. The lid is plastic also with a top chute and a plastic pusher to push foods through the chute. It is very powerful for mixing dips, sauces, and for chopping and food processing. I use it to make baby food for my child and it works great....
...

I have had my VITA MIXER for years..and it has lasted....Used it to make different things at different times..You get to use the entire Veggie/Fruit...which are all heathy for you...

Now I am using it for a breakfast drink..although it is more like a meal..I add fruit..yogurts...vitamins..instant oatmeal..and whatever else you like...mix it and drink it..I would never eat all the fruit I use..so drinking it is the best for me..

Buy fresh fruit on sale..freeze in packs..and add a different one each day...mix them up..use them all...whatever...

You also can add any veggies you like mix it slightly..and add boiling hot water..and instant soup..healthy and good tasting..

You also can make any kind of dough..The power it has is awesome...

Give it a try...I like my Vita Mixer..although Montel Williams has a similar mixer for less money...I use mine every day...
...
