We really enjoy our LG Front Loading washing machine. We love the handy electronic controls. The washer is easy to use, and we are able to wash large loads. The only bad thing that we've found is that it's supposed to be super quiet, and it doesn't seem to be. We haven't been able to figure out if it's because it's not balanced properly, or if the machine is just noisy. It also seems to make a TON of noise when it pulls water into the machine. It pulls the water so forcefully and quickly that the water pipes rattle! Again, this could be because our pipes aren't fastened down tightly enough. But overall, we love this washing machine! —...

I purchased this washer and dryer set from a local home improvement store. I was very excited to have new laundry equipment. Overall, this washer works very well. It is pretty fast, I haven't seen a spike in our electricity or water bills, fits enough clothing for our family (2 adults and 2 dogs). However, it is a bit more noisy than I would like. I want to turn the washer on and be able to sit in the next room and not hear it at all. — —...

Mom inherited a mountain house from her Mom. My Poppaw built it way back, so it's small and not up to modern speed. Washing and drying were done outside then, but that's just not so special now, so Mom got the Kenmore washer and dryer combo for the vacation house. — The Kenmore washer/dryer combo is heavy. It was set on the porch. Mom and I man handled it into the kitchen, so it did not get stolen. Stealing is a reality in the mountains sad to say. Even with a dolly, that was quite a feat for two women not all that big. So, you get some guys and a dolly, and it's OK. — This washer and dryer stacked went in the corner of the kitchen in an area with a little wall to the side. Think of a closet but with no door. It fit, but it was close. That made it hard to hook up the plug and the dryer vent to blow the hot air out. That's a house issue though. The mountain men Mom got to come over and get this in the hole got it, but it was not so easy. The plug cord and the...

adrimare says "nice and smoth" about Maytag Neptune (MAH9700) Front Load Washer

Nice design and quite. it takes a lot of space but is water efficient. cleans well, especially whites. Uses little soap. It is good to get extended warranty as this new technology can break down due to the high cost of electronics. This washer like many of it competitors take lots of space. Not good in a small apartment. They also must be planned on a solid foundation as they vibrated if not. Also the water pipes must be tightly fitted along the walls as they can vibrate when the machine starts. When it starts the water starts and stop often in the pre soak and this causes the pipes to vibrate and make lots of noise. — Make sure that the heavy items like pants not get washed with shirts as the machine can get out of balance and vibrate. Also separate the colors and fabric type because the high speed of the spinning can rub the items and discolor some of them. Do not put items on the machine when it is in use as this can dis-balance the machine and cause vibration....

This washing machine is energy saving, runs extremely quiet. Has several excellent features including really getting clothes clean. It is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. I have purchased many washing machines over the years but this is the ultimate. It had a good price and a wonderful warranty. I also bought the matching dryer which is also awesome. This washing maching has a larger capacity than most washers and if when washing clothes it gets off balance from the weight or whatever the machine resets itself so I don't have to run in the laundry room and rearrange the clothes. Also when it gets off balance there is no loud thumping...

I think this is an awesome invention. It's very convenient & saves space. Works well in apartments that don't have enough room room for a side by side washer/dryer. When I move into an apartment that is a great selling feature for the apartment, because it keeps me from having to load up laundry & take it to the laundry mat. With the construction of the set its very comforting for those that may not be able to bend down much. For singles that generally don't have a lot of laundry to do it is just the right size....

I bought this Whirlpool WTW6700TW, which is the updated model of the 6600 because it now has the 4.6 cft capacity, after having just bought a Whirlpool Duet that broke after just 3 weeks. I had read so many reviews, both negative and positive and wanted to come back and give my two cents worth myself and help someone else because it's a lot of money and a big decision since you are probably going to have this for many many years. Of course at the time I wasn't happy, but now I'm glad the Duet broke (would not turn on) since I ended up getting this one instead. For one thing, this one lets you use the cold tap water out of the faucet, the Duet only lets you use cold water that is actually heated up first if it's too cold. I want to use the cold water on some of my colors and I don't have a problem with the water dissolving since I use liquid soap. But the biggest thing is it's a lot bigger than the 4.0 Duet, this is 4.6. Plus it cleans my King...

This Whirlpool Duet WFW9200SQ would not power on after just 3 weeks. The power was to it because the door light would come on and lock, but nothing else would come on. I exchanged it for a Whirlpool WTW6700TW which is a top loader because I kind of questioned the cleaning of the front loader and I'm glad I did. The Duet front loader worked okay for normal cleaning while it was working, and I was pretty happy with it, but the top loader, which is the new 4.6 capacity with the same spin and water saver features, seems to clean my comforters and such better. Maybe I got a dud, would not surprise me since I always seem to, and luckily if it was going to break it broke within the first 30 days so that I could return it. The other thing about the Duet front loader I didn't like was that I did not have the option to use the cold tap water, it would only use cold water they make sure is heated to 60 degrees, so that to me seemed like it was not energy consious...
