Since new (this spring) this washer finishes and I remove sopping wet clothes out of it Tech has been out 4 times basically says its a bad design Bosch knows about it, he cant fix it, and they accept no responsibility for it, Bosch has become a joke dont waste your money.

The dryer is not much better, no dryer sheets allowed and the sensor dry doesnt work very well at all,

Leons furniture where I will never shop accepts no responsibility either, apparently after it is out of the box and they have your money they are done with you. Sorry I had 72 hrs to return it unopened(store policy I believe)

Live and Learn, I wonder whats Nexxt for Bosch, maybe a concience

I wanted a different brand & model but hubby wanted to go with something cheaper, we got what we paid for even with the high price. I had this washer/dryer set for a year & half. It doesn't use enough water to clean especially if you're washing bigger items such as comforters. I would wash my 2 sons full size comforters (not both together - just one alone) & it would come out nasty dirty, black spots all over it. Looked dirtier than before I put it in. The clothes would be a tangled mess & I'd have to unravel everything before putting it in the dryer. I have never seen a washer tear up clothes before but we had a lot of clothing ruined because this washer ripped them up, who has extra money to constantly be buying new clothes?! I had some problems with getting messages on it but sometimes it would just keep going with it on or I'd go push it off & it would go from there. Hubby kept telling me I wasn't going to get a new set because this one was still pretty new that I'd just have to...
...

serenityls says "Terrible LG Washer experience! " about LG Washer - WM1814CW

I've owned this model for 3.5 years. Recently the drum broke right off of the rubber seal, rendering the machine a hopeless piece of garbage. After having an appliance repairman check the machine I am told it would cost just about $500 to get parts to repair it! THIS is with a waranteed and replaceable drum. It would also take 3 weeks before the parts arrive and it gets repaired, leaving no other option than to buy a new washer. NEVER ever again would I buy any LG product. Not even four years old and has to be replaced. A waste of a LOT of money.

The machine worked well prior to this except that there was always a musty moldy smell to clothes if they were left in the washer anything over an hour after being washed. As well, the wash cycles take an extremely long time.

Highly disappointed!
...

I have had the Cabrio washing machine and dryer for less than a year. I absolutely loved everything about it at first. I could wash large loads and everything came clean. (Very wrinkled, but clean) However, after only having the machine for a couple of months, I had a strange noise coming from the machine and water leaking out all over the floor. The cause was a hole in the pump caused from 2 pennies that mistakenly went through the laundry. After replacing the pump, I tried to be very careful to check everyone's pockets. However, as anyone who does a lot of laundry knows. The inevitable happened again. 3 dimes happened to go through the wash. However, rather than landing at the bottom of the machine as what one would expect to happen, the dimes went down the drain of the machine and into the pump again. Which of course resulted in putting a hole in the pump. Causing yet another leak in the machine and the need to replace the pump again. And now as I write this review...
...

We have had this machine for about 6 years. It has had many service calls including 2 in the first year. Now it need a new drain pump which one person said cost her $500 to repair. The cost of the pump(part only $142) is about 3X the cost of an average pump for a washer. We are not hard on appliances--all our others are 10+ years old.In talking to appliance repair companies they said that these machines are a problem and they have not found a customer that likes them yet.(Of course, those customers are calling for repairs.) It was an expensive machine and continues to cost us money.

I have not found that it cleans the clothes all that great. White socks are hard to get clean and I have noticed that smells do not always wash out of the clothes . I always appreciate reading reviews from those who have had a longer experience with the product after the honeymoon is over. I say forget the Duet and take your search elsewhere.
...

I bought the Neptune washer, dryer almost 11 years ago. I love the front loader, easier on clothes and water. I had no problem with either until the washer was 10 years old, almost to the day. I had it repaired, big mistake as it cost over $600, however I think that is the problem with all washers, not worth repairing. I should have just bought a new one. Now 9 months after the repairs it is doing the same thing so here comes the holidays and I have to go out and buy a washer. The dryer is still going strong.
...

I had purchased Kenmore 3.5 cu. ft. front load high efficiency washer & Kenmore 5.8 cu. ft. dryer at $599.99 for the pair on a Black Friday. It's been a year since. Both still running great. Now I will give review on the washer - it cleans well, although from time to time, if I had a rather dirty garden work, my pants has mud stain and needs a second cycle. Sometimes my old top washer does a better job, but for an high efficiency, I'm pleased. I gave this a 3 star because I think loading the washer is rather low on your back, you would need the pedestrial (which I didn't get, it was $100, expensive for one) and the mildew can be a problem. You need to leave the front load open EVERY TIME you're done washing, so it dries out and every once in a while run the washer on hot (without load) so it cleans and dries.
...

It smells. constant mold problems. dirt gets lodged in the gasket. just horrible. It really is a badly designed piece of junk. I wish i had my 300 dollar basic toploader back. it did a better job and lasted years longer and was way cheaper to fix. I will go to my grave before buying another frigidaire product. also door on the dryer wont close properly either. unless you lift it slightly and push with your knee. thats what you expect after spending over $1700?
...

I bought the Maytag 3000 in July, 2009 from the Brick in Regina. I started hearing the washing machine "squeak" approximately one month after I bought it. I called the Brick and had a Maytag rep attend my home. He stated that this noise is normal and not to be concerned about it. One of the main reasons I had bought a Maytag is due to the fact that the washing machine was supposed to be quiet. I am so disappointed with my washing machine and have not had any success with Maytag regarding the noisy washing machine. I have never written a review before, but I felt that I should tell other buyers about my negative experience with Maytag. A friend of mine bought a LG laundry pair and cannot say anything bad about it. Next time, I will be purchasing a LG laundry pair.

HOMEDESIGNER says "WHIRLPOOL DUET DUO DOESN'T DO IT!" about Whirlpool Duet - Washer Dryer

It's hard to believe everyone is talking about the same washer and dryer. My problems with this pair are completely different. My old large capacity Whirlpool washer and dryer held more clothes, washed a load in 30 minutes, extra 5 for extra rinse. This washer takes 1 1/2 hours for one load with extra rinse! The "finished" alarm goes off anytime during the cycle for a full minute, but not when it's actually finished. If you try to stop the alarm during this point in the cycle, the whole cycle starts all over again for another hour and a half. Then the clothes come out in a knot altogether after I had carefully put in one item at a time after shaking it out. It took my husband and me to unknot 6 shirts with sleeves all twisted together.

The dryer takes so much longer also. Instead of running awhile to determine how long the load will take to dry, it determines the length of the cycle immediately even though it is supposed to sense when it is dry. It decided just 12...
...

jstapp101405 says "Not quite the washer of my dreams." about Bosch Nexxt Washer - 500 Front Load

I did a lot of research before purchasing a new washer. I wanted a front loader with a large capacity, and something quiet. The Bosch Nexxt seemed like it was going to be the best option and the best price. It was quickly delivered and easily installed.

I was disappointed with the level of cleanliness this washer achieved. The cycle times were very long. Sometimes the spin cycle didn't actually get the water out of the laundry and it would be dripping when the cycle ended. The same load at other times would be almost dry when it was done.

It's an attractive model, easy to use and can fit large loads. It is almost silent.

It does not always get things clean and I found the spin cycle unreliable. You really must make sure the door stays open after use to dry out, or mold/mildew grow quickly and there's an "off" smell.

I'm not sure I would purchase the Bosch Nexxt again, due to my experience.
...

appleimacdude says "great washer, may have reliability problems if you use bleach" about Frigidaire GLTF1040SA Washing Machine

I bought my washer at a scratch and dent sale place off ebay - PUMA industries. My washer has been great, I am in a condo with hot water issues, so I have installed a electric 4 gallon water heater (ariston) to provide hot water to my sink, dishwasher, and my washing machine. With the Frigidaire Gallery washer using so much less water, 4 gallons of hot water is enough to wash clothes, and since it uses so much less water I am able to discharge the waste water to the kitchen sink, instead of having a "permanent" hook up in my condo. Of course, I use 7th Generation liquid laundry detergent, so nothing "caustic" is in the sink, and I keep dishes away from the side of the sink the wastewater discharges into - with also is the garbage disposal side, which I run when the washer rinses.

I also installed the shake-a-way pads listed at repairclinic.com, and on Frigidaires web site. My condo is on the 2nd floor, and the shake-a-way pads reduce the vibration of the washer dramatically. I also installed...
...

lenabr says "PerfectTemp feature is a serious design flaw" about GE Washer - Profile Top Load - WPRE6100G

This washer has a serious design flaw. If you think on the Hot cycle it fills the water from your hot water tap, think again. It dilutes the incoming hot water with cold to the "perfect" 105F. To me this is tepid, not hot.

I complained to GE people that the hot water is not hot enough, and they said that the PerfecTemp Target Wash Temperatures: Hot- 105° , Warm- 90° , Cold- 60°.

However, the owners manual says "Make sure house water heater is delivering water at 120°F–140°F (48°C–60°C)" .

Something does not add up. I should NOT have to heat the water only to get it diluted with cold water. This is a huge waste of energy and money.

I conducted an experiment - set my washer to Hot and started the cycle with the lid open. When it switched water from hot to cold I used a large kitchen pot to catch cold water and empty it into a 5 gallon bucket. Well, more than 10 GALLONS of wasted cold water later I finally got to wash in HOT water.

Hanly says "Do not buy any Miele machine" about Miele Touchtronic W1213 Front Load Washer

Do not buy a washing machine or for that matter any other product made by Miele.
I purchased a Miele washing machine and it arrived nearly a month ago with a broken drain hose connector. Despite Miele's marketing claims of wonderful customer service, my experience has been miserable, and utterly sub-par as compared to my experiences with GE, Jenn-Aire, LG and other manufacturers (I have done numerous renovations in recent years and have purchased numerous large appliances). First, it was nearly impossible to reach their customer service department (waits on hold of up to 30 minutes). Second, after finally reaching them I was told it would take a week for them to send a tech to inspect the damage. Third, when the tech finally arrived he announced that he did not have the necessary parts and that they were not even in the U.S., but would have to be shipped from Germany. Fourth, I have received misleading assurances as to when the part would arrive: one customer service rep told me it would...
...

Schoolcraft says "My Cabrio top load washer went from dream to nightmare." about Whirlpool Washer - Cabrio Top Load WTW6600SBT

I was so excited when I purchased this washing machine. After a few weeks things turned. From the start clothes came out very twisted and wrinkled, not to mention they came out cleaner with my old maytag. I also experienced coins falling thru the washer. When I called Whirlpool they basicly said 'Oh well, call a repairman'. This sure seems like a design flaw to me. I have a family of 6, so I DO CHECK POCKETS! Even so, things have been missed. It dosen't seem right to need a repairman to remove 15cents. F1 and load codes all the time. Now it is locked in a mode that won't spin or drain! This washer is energy efficient for Whirlpool, but not for me. This machine has worn me out!
...

MarytheConsumer says "Kenmore Premium Washer is a Piece of Junk!" about Kenmore Washer and Dryer

In the summer of 2007, I bought a Sears Kenmore Premium Washer model 11024942301. In the late autumn of 2009, it vibrated so bad, we thought the basket would fly out of the housing and kill someone.

Today, Nov. 7, 2009, the Sears service technician said it needs a new gearcase, a new basket drive, a new sub-coupler, and a new block-drive, which, with labor, would cost $545.00.!!!

My previous washer was a Whirlpool and lasted 25 years. I figured that a Kenmore would be just as good, since it is made by Whirlpool. But everything is made in China now, so shopping for Chinese products is like throwing your money away.

Don't buy Sears Kenmore Premium washers until they start making them in the USA again.
...

egad says "Do not buy an LG washer or dryer" about LG TROMM Washer - Front Load

We bought an LG TROMM washer and dryer 2 years ago. We despise them. Having had a Kenmore for 15+ years with no problems, the LG is a SAD, SAD, SAD comparison. If you do not take your clothes out of the washer right away, they will smell and you have to wash them again. This is because water builds up in the unit and turns stale fast. So if you do not do a tub clean with bleach frequently then the unit smells. The dryer has paint chipping off on the inside rim of the door frame. Ridiculous for something that is just barely 2 years old.My former Kenmore units looked brand new even though they were 15 years old. Save yourself aggravation and buy something else. LG is horrible.
...
