An electrolux fan and owner of the Pronto for three years, I eagerly and patiently awaited the arrival of the all new Electrolux Ergorapido. Wow! It did not disappoint! Aside from the aesthetic improvements - a welcome switch from bright red to soft, neutral metallic gold - they have added some features that greatly enhance the performance of this handy little vac. New are the two attachements (brush & crevice tool) that make an easy job of cleaning corners and crevices. Also new is the improved dust cup, now with an easy spring-loaded cleaning feature that allows you to snap the fine dust out of the filter. The slim design allows for easy charging and the hand-held now has a press-in-place button that allows continuous vacuuming without holding down the button, as was necessary on the Pronto. It performs equally well on my stone floors as it does on my thick wool carpet. The brush on the vacuum has an easy-to-pop-out brush that makes...

Have a dog? Then this is a must for sure. I just recently started letting my 11 month old puppy go upstairs where it is all carpet. Her little paws get so dirty and then she goes upstairs where all there is is carpet. Now I have started to notice little spots here and there. I found the Bissell SpotBot Robotic Wet/Dry Vacuum and It works...

With four "indoor only" cats, carpet cleaning was a HUGE hassel. Then I got the Spot-Bot and it's no longer a terrible chore. Not only does it remove the pet stains entirely, they don't come back... ever!!!. I work out of the home and I don't have time for constant carpet care. I absolutely love this machine and would recommend it to anyone with pets or children who are endlessly tending to carpet...

I love this vacuum cleaner. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats that are inside animals! I have an area rug, linoleum, laminate flooring and wall to wall carpet in my home. This mighty machine cleans them all well. I love the convenience of the button to raise and lower the beater bar when traveling from carpet ot laminate or linoleum. I would like to speak especailly about the area rug. It is a beautiful wool Karastan rug that was our one purchase for our new home, as you can imagine with the animals, I have to vacuum everyday. This vacuum does a tremendous job of picking up animal hair, making my rug stand out as the centerpiec of our livingroom. I will agree, it is an investment in a quality tool, and it does not come cheap, but I know from watching the ads, that Sears carries these at 30% off quite often. Tools used often should of good quality, and the Dyson DC18 is a quality...

bmesc says "An invaluable tool in the right situations" about iRobot Roomba 530 Robotic Vacuum

The Roomba 530 is our second in the last 4 years. This model is quieter and more intelligent than previous versions. We cannot live without a Roomba and will always have one in the future. Our situation makes it invaluable: large expanses of tile and low cut carpet floor. This is the surface Roomba works best on. I wouldn't think these are good machines for small areas or deep carpets. No one is in the house during the day, so turning it on and letting it run gets the job done without us having to do much. I don't think I'd like to be trying to do things in the house when it's running. These machines have had technical issues, but it's possible to get a good one with no problems. Parts do run out and need to be replaced, you need to clean it after each use, so there is upkeep involved. It is not cheaper than a regular vacuum cleaner, but you are paying for convenience. I would say the best you can expect is 4 years of regular use. I run ours about twice a week. I let it run until it...

butaflygrl81 says "A very Expensive machine, but a Powerful Vac!" about Kirby Sentria Vacuum

The Kirby Sentria vacuum is great, the attachements are great, you have a vacuum, a blower, and a shampooer all in one. It's very pricey, but it should be the only vacuum that you will need to buy. Kirby is supposed to have a service, where they will bring your Kirby back to life (like new), if it breaks on you. Mine hasn't broken yet, so I can't say if that service is true or not. The salesman was good....too good obviously....I bought one! I will be making payments on this thing forever....which makes me sick whenever I think about it, but I guess the saying is true...you get what you pay for. I have a toddler, a newborn, and a husband with horrible allergies and this vacuum helps a lot. So other than the price, there's nothing I can really complain about....

I was skeptical about owning a Roomba. I love to have things Clean (yes, with a capital "C"). From the second it came on and started "nosing" around, I was in love. I had to stop watching after awhile, though because it LOOKS like it won't hit every spot. It does, though. No problem there. The true test came when my nephew was over and spilled Fruity Pebbles all over my carpeted family room. I didn't even sweep them up - just put Rosie down and came back an hour later to a completely spotless carpet. I will never vacuum again the old way.
Long story short, bought it, used it, I think it's broken, and I didn't do it. — Details as follows: — I'm a messy person with a messy (new) husband, and a long haired cat. The three of us have lived together nearly 4 years, and up until a month ago, had not owned any vaccum. For a wedding present, we received a couple of Bed Bath and Beyond gift cards and decided to get a vaccum. — Until we actually arrived at Bed Bath and Beyond, I figured that we would bring home something that kind of looked like a bagpipe with a plastic handle and smelled very strongly of plastic... until I saw her- the Dirt Devil Kone. She was beautifully shaped- kind of like something a 70's cartoon character would use. If only I had read the fine lines... I actually still haven't, but I did try to clean with it. — After charging the Kone all night, I woke up, and was excited to use this bad boy... until I did.
