thisiswhatisay says "I love this vacuum" about Miele Naturel Vacuum

I love my vacuum cleaner. It's a cute sunny yellow color, it's small and easy to carry around, and it even has a little notch on the side to store the stick part of it upright.

the suction power on the thing is amazing. i can easily run the vacuum along the edge of my baseboards and see them become clean on one pass. it also does such a great job of picking up little particles that my apartment always smells much cleaner and fresher after i've gone over the whole place with it.

i have a bottom-of-the-line model, so it doesn't have an electrically assisted head. i've tried the better models with this feature, and it makes it much easier to push the vaccumm around, but for my budget, i'm more than happy at how well this vaccuum works.

there's also a dedicated miele service shop near my house with knowledgeable staff, so i've been able to keep my vaccuum happy and smooth-running for 5 years now with no major complaints at all.
...

bcarlson15210 says "Dyson DC17 killed my dirt" about Dyson DC17 Animal Vacuum

I got this model of Dyson over 5 years ago and while it's looking a bit beat-up, it's still in use and still has the power.

After having a Dyson, I don't think I could ever trust any other vacuum. This thing has suction! It pulled dust out of my carpet that had obviously been in there for years. I couldn't believe what it pulled out. I had to empty the vacuum frequently at first, until it got that old dust up out of the carpet.

Besides the great suction, the best thing this vacuum has is a super-simple way to empty the cannister. You remove it, hold it over the garbage can, pull a trigger, and all the dirt falls out the bottom! No muss, no fuss. A girlfriend of mind, upon seeing the way it emptied, said, "That's the sexiest thing I've seen in years!" LOL!

It almost makes cleaning fun -- no more dust headaches! I used to think I was just lazy and didn't like to clean. Turns out I'm NOT lazy, just very allergic to dust and my other vacuum was kicking it up. After only a little while, I'd...
...

Hbolton says "The Bissell Turbo Power Force Vacuum is HORRIBLE!!!" about Bissell Turbo Power Force Vacuum

I had the Bissell Turbo Power Force Vacuum for a little over a year and would NEVER suggest this vacuum to anyone! I really can't come up with one thing that I actually liked about this vacuum. In my defense, this was the first vacuum I ever bought so I didn't know much of what to look for in one. Also, at that time, I was looking for something cheap. I now realize that its totally worth it to pay a little bit more for a quality product. First of all, its not made of high quality materials. Just looks very cheap and seems like its going to fall apart. It has one attachment piece and it doesn't even work because the vacuum doesn't create enough suction for it to function properly. Usually, when I would take the hose out of its spot to use it, tons of dirt, dust, and nastiness would come flying out of where the hose had been attached. This would happen even when the dirt cup was completely empty! Also, the vacuum was heavy, bulky, and hard to manuever.

When I finally bought a new vacuum,...
...

I purchased the vacuum because I needed an upright to complement my 25-year old Sears Kenmore canister vacuum when the heavy-duty power attachment died. The Bissell is a piece of garbage. First, it's heavy. Second, in order to fully clean it, not only do I have to empty the cup, but I have to remove the bottom section of the vac (six screws) to disengage hair tangled in the rotating brush. This is not occasionally; it is every time I use the vacuum. In my lifetime I have never had to disassemble a vacuum after every use (1-2 times/week). The final irony is that I have to use my old vacuum to clean out the hose of the new vac because the suction is so pitiful it clogs....again, every time I use it. I have a small house, some carpet but mostly hardwood, so this extra work just the clean the machine is ridiculous. Last Bissell in this house.
...

I have always had a bagless vacuum cleaner and I thought that was the best invention since sliced bread, however when I saw an infomercial for the Shark vacuum cleaner I was astounded. I found one of these vacuum cleaners at Target and received it as a wedding present. I took it home and began to clean up and my living room which is over 1200 square feet took 10 minutes to clean. That in itself was impressive. The shark made me truly enjoy vacuuming because it was lightweight and I didn't feel exhausted after having to lug around a vacuum tripping on the chords and going back and forth, back and forth. It picked up my cat hair (I have two black cats, and cream carpet), so you can understand why I constantly have to vacuum. I go straight from vacuuming my living room and with a push of a button (with my foot) it switches to hard floor vacuuming. The best part about this machine is the swivel brush on the side. When you are vacuuming under a counter all of the debris that...
...

My wife and I bought our first house about 2 years ago. One of our first purchases was the Dyson DC07 to make sure that we had a reliable vacuum cleaner. We did some price checking and background work on a few different types of vacuums and found for the money it was the best bang for our buck.

We have two dogs and it really does a great job of picking up the dog hair out of the carpet, but it also transitions to do hard wood floors as well. The most impressive feature is how easy it is to dispose of the vacuum debris. You just press one botton and empty the debris into the trach. This has been a great product for us and when it comes time to buy a new vacuum cleaner I am sure we will stay in the Dyson family.
...

laurelp1952 says "Where was this 20 years ago!?" about Hoover FloorMate - Hard Floor Cleaner Vacuum - H3032

We have pets, and 3 years ago we pulled up all of the carpeting and put in vinyl on our floors. My husband and I fought over which mops work best and my disgust with the smell because it seems you could never rinse it well enough. Then along came the Hoover Floormate! Yaah! Fantastic! Wide foot print makes short work. You are scrubbing and rinsing at the same time. The scrubbers (easy to remove to clean or exchange for the grout scrubber) get into every little crany.
How about when my husband messed up with dishwasher? The Floormate has three options, 1. Wash/rinse 2. Wet Pickup 3. Dry pickup.
I used the wet pickup to get all the water up in no time! I never use the dry pick up because of the pet hair which use our vacuum cleaner for.

The return (the dirty water holder) is right in front and comes out and goes back in easily, rinses easily. The holder for the cleaner mixed with water is above that and is easy to fill and has it's own measuring cup/top and is also easy to remove and replace.......

I bought this Dirt Devil about a month ago for two reasons. First of all my last vacuum cleaner broke. Since I no longer have wall to wall carpet, i did not see the need to spend a lot of money on a new vacuum cleaner. I have owned a hand held Dirt Devil Vacuum cleaner for many years and I love it. I went to Walmart and looked at all their vacuum cleaners that were there and decided on the Dynamite. The cost was under $40.00 and it was a brand that I trusted.

I want to say that so far I really like it. It is very light weight and it has Hepa power. The box says it traps 99.7 % dust and pollens. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much dirt it picked up. It has a retractable handle that lowers to 31 inches, which makes it easy to store. It also goes from carpet to floor with automatic adjustment.

This past weekend my friend had a party at the club house where she lives. There were at least 50 people there. About 40 of the guest were kids. I offered to vacuum...
...

I have owned this vacuum for about a year now, and I still love it. It does a fantastic job of picking up cat hair. It also has really really good suction. I do not need to empty the canister very often, but when I do, it is quick, easy, and does not make a mess. It is very simple to change attachments or switch to the hose while vacuuming as well. I was dubious that a vacuum for such a low price would perform well, but it turned out to quite a bargain! The only thing I do not like about this machine is that it tips over somewhat easily. If I am using the hose, I lean the body up against something so that it doesn't fall over. This vacuum is also very quiet, which is nice for apartment dwellers like myself. The vacuum is easy to maneuver, and I enjoy seeing the unbelievable quantities of stuff it is picking up! The first time I used it I was amazed. I would recommend this vacuum to just about anyone.
...

I can't tell you how much I love this vacuum and how great it works. I have two pugs and if you aren't familiar with the breed - those suckers shed. A LOT. So, needless to say, vacuum cleaners are very important in our house and I have gone through quite a few finding one that will pick up pug fur and will last.

This vacuum cleaner is lightweight and very maneuverable. One word of warning - because it is so light and maneuverable that means it does tip over easier than other vacuums I have had.

As far as the attachments go, pretty standard stuff with the exception of the pet hair magnet which is the single best thing I have found for getting fur out of furniture and the car. The canister is very easy to empty but is a nasty reminder about all of the dirt that settles in the carpet every day. Good thing the Bissel takes care of sucking it up!...

I like the size of this dyson vaccum cleaner because it fits conveniently into my hall closet. It is light enough so that my back is hurting by the time I finish vacuuming my entire house. This vacuum works well on all floor types. It also came with a few attachments to help do the woodwork, vents and furniture in my home. I like that it's bagless which saves money on buying bags. It's easy to clean out the dirt container without too much effort or mess. The only thing I don't like about it is that it does not fit under low surfaces such as furniture or under cabinets. I have to pull off the hose attachments to get those areas clean. This is not a difficult process but it is a pain to pull out the hose in each room as I go around the house from room to room cleaning. I've had this vacuum for about 5 years and had to have it repaired one time this past year. The original price wasn't too bad either.
...

The Black & Decker 4.8 volt compact cordless hand vac is great for unexpected messes and area rugs. My house has all hard wood floors so to have a full size vac is very unnecessary but I do have several area rugs in the house that sweeping them just doesn't do it. Since getting this vacuum maintaining my floors and rugs have been much easier. It is super fun to use to. I'm almost addicted to it and look forward to someone spilling something just so I can show them how good it works. It can be mounted right onto your wall so you don't have to worry about storing it.Just mount next to an outlet and you can always charge it while it is not in use. I purchased my Black & Decker hand vac for only $17.84 at Lowes.com. That is regular price which is a great bargain. Has an on board accessory storage which holds the crevice tool and the upholsrey brush. Very easy to empty just pull apart to do so.
...

Scatterback. I have INDOOR: four cats and a small cat-sized dog. Hard tile floors. After almost two years of pulling hair out of the brush to get it to move for a couple sweeps, it now does not hold a charge.

So: It scatters cat little and almost any BIG like cat litter. It can't pick up cat hair without getting it wrapped in the brush holder on the right side. This renders the machine uselessER.

The hand-held is okay and performs like a high-end bagless hand held should, but put the handheld into the holder for service. I DONT GET ANY SERVICE!
...

DisappointedShoper says "disorganized, bad customer service, won't get what was ordered" about Company Name (TotalVac.com) vacuum cleaner belts Vacuum

Don't let TotalVac.com's reasonable price fool you. That was why we attempted to do business with them in the first place. However, TotalVac.com is extremely disorganized. It takes them almost half a year (that's right, almost 6 months) to attempt to complete an order but in the end, your order will not get fulfilled. While everyone makes mistakes, this company doesn't seem to be filled with any employees who know what they are doing. After many attempts to send the correct items as shown available on their website, they never were able to fulfill the order correctly. You'll end up spending hours of frustration on the phone over the months to reach no positive result. So if you are expecting your order to arrive to you in a timely manner or even at all, this is not the company to shop at. Customer service is terrible. Although company claims to do so, company does not reply to emails or phone calls. It is very difficult to get through to them by phone. No one ever...
...

doofdums says "If you have stairs, DO NOT buy this vacuum" about Bissell Healthy Home Vacuum

This is the worst vacuum as far as stairs and getting on your hands and knees to get under furniture. It falls on me constantly because I use the hose attachements often. As long as you just use it as an uprite, you might be okay. When I'm cleaning, I have to be aware of my placement to the vacuum and I have to always check to make sure that the hose hasn't fallen from the clip or else it will fall on me, my furniture or pets. It's the worst. I contacted Bissell and they basically told me it was my problem not the design.
...

monasue says "Easy pick up" about shark DC 14 All Floors Vacuum

i am the preschool director at a church and I have several shark cordless vacuum cleaners. I like having one in each room, so the teachers can immediately sweep the floors in between services. The shark cordless vacuum is rechargeable, so you can leave it in the charger and it is then ready to go. The toddlers eat alot of goldfish, and their food gets dropped on the floor and crushed. After one hour and 15 toddlers later, there is alot of mess on the carpet. The teachers don't have a lot of time between the services, so just using the cordless sweeper to run over the messy part of the carpets is a lifesaver. Within minutes, the mess is gone, and the room is cleaned. At first, I only bought one shark cordless for the teachers to share, but after how great they worked they begged me for one in each room. The expense is not that much, so they were very economical. Now I have one in every room, and it works great for everyone.
