http://www.viewpoints.com/Vacuums Thu, 24 Jul 2008 20:20:57 GMT Reviews about Vacuums http://www.viewpoints.com/Electrolux-Ergorapido-Vacuum--156813-review-ba233 An electrolux fan and owner of the Pronto for three years, I eagerly and patiently awaited the arrival of the all new Electrolux Ergorapido.  Wow!  It did not disappoint!  Aside from the aesthetic improvements - a welcome switch from bright red to soft, neutral metallic gold - they have added some features that greatly enhance the performance of this handy little vac.  New are the two attachements (brush & crevice tool) that make an easy job of cleaning corners and crevices.  Also new is the improved dust cup, now with an easy spring-loaded cleaning feature that allows you to snap the fine dust out of the filter.  The slim design allows for easy charging and the hand-held now has a press-in-place button that allows continuous vacuuming without holding down the button, as was necessary on the Pronto.  It performs equally well on my stone floors as it does on my thick wool carpet.  The brush on the vacuum has an easy-to-pop-out brush that makes... This model is quieter and more intelligent than previous versions. We cannot live without a Roomba and will always have one in the future. Our situation makes it invaluable: large expanses of tile and low cut carpet floor. This is the surface Roomba works best on. I wouldn't think these are good machines for small areas or deep carpets. No one is in the house during the day, so turning it on and letting it run gets the job done without us having to do much. I don't think I'd like to be trying to do things in the house when it's running. These machines have had technical issues, but it's possible to get a good one with no problems. Parts do run out and need to be replaced, you need to clean it after each use, so there is upkeep involved. It is not cheaper than a regular vacuum cleaner, but you are paying for convenience. I would say the best you can expect is 4 years of regular use. I run ours about twice a week. I let it run until it... It's very pricey, but it should be the only vacuum that you will need to buy. Kirby is supposed to have a service, where they will bring your Kirby back to life (like new), if it breaks on you. Mine hasn't broken yet, so I can't say if that service is true or not. The salesman was good....too good obviously....I bought one! I will be making payments on this thing forever....which makes me sick whenever I think about it, but I guess the saying is true...you get what you pay for. I have a toddler, a newborn, and a husband with horrible allergies and this vacuum helps a lot. So other than the price, there's nothing I can really complain about.... It is useful for spot cleaning.  You need to be careful though because the cleaning fluid is very good and you can tell afterward where you haven't cleaned.  — This is EXTREMELY durable.  Did I mention that we have 5 dogs.  This machine has gotten us through the puppy stage of 2 of our dogs... you know the stage where you are trying to house-train them and they leave several gifts throughout the day?! — The downside to this is that it is a bit awkward carrying it, and you need to have a place to put it after you use it so that the parts will dry unassembled.  THere also isn't a way to brush clean the inside of the dirty canister, so after many many uses, it gets a little grimy.   Also, if you don't use a regular vacuum first, you end up with lots of hair balls that either need to be cleaned off the...
