It's very easy to use and understand. I think switching stitches is a snap. I have been able to teach novice sewers on the machine with little difficulty. Loading the bobbin is easy. Threading the machine is easy, the machine talks you through each step.It is great for every day sewing with regular weight material. I never could get the stretch stitches to work though. I looked at the users manual and had it on the right settings, but it just kept doing the regular stitches.
