I wanted to jump on the green-wagon and this machine seemed to be a good place to start. No chemicals... what a great idea! The steam that comes out is hardly what I would call "hot" and I have a hard time believing that this thing actually sanitizes anything at all. Let me clarify something for you which I wasn't aware of; this is a STEAM cleaner not a VAPOR cleaner. I googled for a while and vapor cleaners are what you envision when you think of a product like this. This machine left water everywhere and caused more harm than good. I returned it and picked up one of the reliable cleaners from go-vapor. Finally got what I was looking for. —...

The hand held Tobi did not work any like I thought it would. I didn't see any of the wrinkles on my clothes go away. The only thing the Tobi did was wet my clothes with steaming hot water. I tried it several times and followed the directions but it just wouldn't work.

I bought the TOBI a month ago, and since then-it has caused nothing but grief and pain. The first time I tried it, I had filled up the water tank. Next, I had proceeded to bring it out to the floor and steam some clothes. (Five times faster of course!) I turn it on, only to discover a massive puddle of water all over my hardwood floor. I had put it on a table, and wiped it all up, only to discover another pool of water on my table. After doing all this cleaning, I brang it upstairs to try it out on some pillows. (With a TOWEL under it this time) — By this time, I am angry enough with the TOBI. I plug it in again and try to steam a pillow, but of course the steam doesn't come out. I figured that I had to hold it above the TOBI, as steam rises. I do this, only to have the boiling hot water drop on my hand-burning it. I have now learned that the TOBI is not only a waste of time and money, but it is a safety hazard as well. — I would never recommend this awful product to...

Looking for a cordless iron? Look no further. The Panasonic cordless iron is compact, durable and of the highest quality. I had my first one for 10 years before I started having problems with it. It is easy to use, heats and steams evenly and is incomparable to that bulky, oversized Oreck iron you can get 'free' with the Oreck vacuum. Panasonic has improved the technology on this iron since the first one I purchased. It's long-lasting and well worth every penny. I love Panasonic products! —...

Dexter says "Tobi Steamer--Don't Buy it!" about Tobi Steamer

The Tobi Steamer is extremely disappointing. It does not remove wrinkles well, and worst of all, it spits hot water onto the garment. One of their agents said their customer service line is for sales only. If you call to ask for help with the product once you have it, they can do little to help because they're not trained to troubleshot. After being on hold for a while, the agent returned to suggest that I clean the product according its manual. I did, and it continued to spit water onto the garment. It's brand new and since I only used distilled water with the unit, there shouldn't be any problems with mineral deposits. Also, it's garment stand is very rickety. Bottom line: save your money. It's not worth it. — —...

It sounds good but unfortunately I found that the stand is very flimsy, it's impossible to steam the bottom of a garment, i.e. slacks, and the wrinkles don't come out like they do in the infomercial and despite following all directions, water dripped out and wet the garments. I just returned it after convincing their customer service representative that I did not want to keep trying it for another month and that I did not want a good deal on an air purifier. I am waiting for a credit to my...

I received this product and found that it did not put off enough steam at all. When held up to a shirt you could not see any steam come through the shirt at all. Apparently the one on TV is a different product. — — This product was given to me for a Xmas gift and when I decided NOT to keep it I called the company and obtained an RMA number and shipped the product back at MY COST and was not told of any time frame for the receipt. Now a month latter I call and they advised they canceled my RMA and are shipping the product back to me. — — So apparently I stuck with this Piece of CRAP. — — Don’t make the same mistake STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AS WELL AS THIS COMPANY. — — —...

My mom got this steam cleaner from Costco, she paid $150 approximately for it. I got to use it in my house. I was able to use it all over it was great, I wanted to do more with the moldy areas but they were so ground in that it was hard to clean it, but I was still rather impressed. Not so much in the beginning but after a couple of hours when it was all dried up, the bathroom looked GREAT. I would highly recommend getting it and I will be buying one for myself in the near future. It did great with spot cleaning my indoor outdoor carpets, and even on my wood...

In my teenage years I worked part-time at a dry cleaners. I am now 28 years old and I STILL have envy over those FABULOUS irons they had! You were able to shoot steam at the push of a button! No crazy wrinkle had a chance, not even those ones that you inadvertently make while ironing. I've had a number of cheapy $10 irons since then, but recently purchased this gem at Costco. The best feature is the steam, just like at the dry cleaners, at the push of a button. You can iron and push it when you get to a pesky spot, push it constantly (like I do) when you just want to iron in a hurry, or steam delicate garments while hanging. It also has a button to spray water on a spot (eliminating the water pistol), but I rarely use that one. — Pouring water in the damn iron is always a mess. Especially if you choose to do it OVER the garment your trying to iron on the board. This iron is ingenious in that a) it made it so you pour it in while the iron is lying flat, rather than on...

This steamer doesn't work even CLOSE to what they show on their infomercial. Why I even thought it would is beyond me! — — I tried this on four or five different items and found that you had to go over and over the area many times to get even PART of the wrinkles out! I even tried it on a silk scarf and it did not work. — — VERY BAD! My advice is to spend a little bit more and buy a regular PROFESSIONAL/INDUSTRIAL garment steamer!
I am easily swayed by advertising. Tried a huge tank steamer iron, it went kaput. Bought an expensive Rowenta, it leaked like crazy. Okay, I did drop it a few times. Went to Target, never expecting to be wowed by an iron. They all looked alike, with names like Europro, Shark (I trust neither name). I saw a box with Westinghouse on it and a brightly colored picture of an iron. I am nostalgic for brand names from my childhood, didn't even know the company was still around. Turns out the iron was only $20, and you get a light show when the iron goes from warm to hot, the tank goes from blue to green to lilac (so pretty) and then red. Can't believe I am gushing over an iron but I am very happy with this purchase. — ...

I received the McCulloch MC1275 Steam Cleaner last December as a Christmas gift. My boyfriend knew how much time and effort it was taking me to keep up with the weekly bird cage cleaning and had heard me mention that other people use steam cleaners to get the job done in a fraction of the amount of time. He paid about $100 for it from an online retailer. — It's very easy to set up and use. It comes with a measuring cup and funnel to get the water into the tank. If you add 3 of the cups of water to the tank, it will be full and will produce up to an hour of continuous steam. It has a long hose which makes it easy to use without having to drag the canister around behind you. The McCulloch MC1275 Steam Cleaner comes with several different scrubbing attachments that you can connect to the end of the hose, including a squeegee, a large brush, a triangle-shaped head, and several small round scrubbers. — The first time I used this...

With my new job came new responsibilities, and a work environment where even my male coworkers showed up in crisply pressed shirts and pants. I have resisted ironing all my life, but I have grown tired of not having nicely pressed outfits, so after a disastrous encounter with a fifteen year old iron, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a new one. I read positive reviews of the D2030 by Black & Decker on Consumer Reports, but only found the B&D D2020 at Target, so I bought it instead. — — About the Black & Decker D2020 — The D2020 is a "Digital Advantage" model iron from Black & Decker. It has a backlit digital display that you set each time you iron. It beeps when the iron has heated up to that setting. The iron has a spray and steam button, and a stainless steal soleplace. The look of the iron is very sleek, with a frosted translucent water tank so you can see the water level in the iron.
