In one of the other reviews, there was a complaint of water collecting on the ceiling. I did not notice this when it was in my daughter's room, possibly because I left the door ajar. It has a small area for using essential oils, which I liked. I used a little eucaliptus oil in it for soothing. Just be careful to only use a drop or two, the steam makes it go a long way. I am happy with the humidifier being in our living room, just so the air isn't so dry. Hopefully this will cut down on the colds a little bit. I really wanted to avoid an electric device sitting in a pool of water, especially if that pool is going to be on my carpet... So after long and careful consideration I bought this, and I am VERY SATISFIED. It does not wet around itself, it is capable of delivering high amounts of moisture without causing that problem.
