The Lasko Digital Ceramic Heater 5355 was definitely worth the money (which wasn't unreasonable either). My husband and I payed $50 for this heater because we didn't want to freeze all winter. It requires a little assembly but nothing that an intelligent human being can't figure out, just a couple screws need to be put into place to attach the base to the heater. We had one room in the house that really wasn't being heated to how we would have liked it so we put this heater into the room. The room was warm in only a couple minutes! It is very handy because it has a built in thermostat so you know what the temperature of the room is before you decide what it needs to be. Everything is digital also which is very handy too. It has heated a room over 5 degrees in only a couple minutes and of course the outside is cool to the touch. This was definitely a good buy and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a little space heater.
...

The Sylvania Electric Stove Heater Model: QC889 is an extremely quiet, high heat output space heater. One of the best features of this heater is the fact that it looks like a small fireplace. The simulated flame effect is both adjustable and quite realistic looking, especially for an $80.00 space heater.

The controls are easy to use and include an adjustable thermostat switch to allow for adjusting the temperature for your individual requirements. The flame intensity dimmer switch allows you to set the amount of simulated flame effects and has no effect on the heat output itself. Especially nice to set a romantic mood bu turning down low for soft light and low flame effect. It also comes with a heating switch for low heat and a turbo switch for a high heat function.

The flame effect is created with the use of a 40 watt B-10 candelabra light bulb with an E-12 (small) socket base. The light bulb will have to be replaced occasionally when it burns out and while easy to change,...
...

the touch point ceramic heater is great for indoor household use.if your house is like mine kind of drafty in the winter this is the perfect heater for you.It will definetely help in lowering your heating bill.It has an addjustable thermostat, which allows you to determine how warm or hot you would like the room to be for total comfort control. It has 3 heat settings low medium and high. Also has oscillating functions which helps you to direct the heat where you want it.What I like best is that its really not hot to the touch.Great to have around kids and pets.Heater features 1500 watt heat settings, large controls, auto safety shut off,and overheat protection.this heater is a ceramic tower heater, comes in sleek black.goes well with any decor.your guests won't even notice it.It heats as well as any other ceramic heater.I really like the fact that it keeps the whole house comfortable and prevents my furnance from comming on so often. This ultimately helps to lower your heating bill.
...

OK, so the problem was that my office was cold, but my employer couldn't afford a lot to heat it. We decided upon Eden Pure, because of the price of the units and their claim to conserve energy compaired to most other heaters. The cost of the unit was very affordable, and when the first electric bill came after using the heater for a month our electric bill was not a lot higher than we were already paying.

My office is warm now. I have a remote control to adjust the heat if I need to without leaving my desk. It automatically shuts off when the temperature indicated is reached in the area surrounding the heater, so I'm not having to constantly adjust it. I only turn it down when I leave the office at night and then turn it back up when I come in to work in the morning.

I have accidently left my purse on the heater a few times by accident and when I realized it, my purse was not even hot when I moved it to my desk. The outside of the heater doesn't get hot, so I know that if I...
...

LaurenAR87 says "I love it! It Heats up entire room in mins!" about Lasko mini space heater

I absolutely love this mini portable space heater. I got it last year and have yet to have any problems with it. Of course it is that time of year yet again, when it gets chilly at night, but still nice during the day. I turn the heater on for maybe 3 mins and my room is nice and toasty. I love the oscilating feature! Warms up even quicker. The only downfall I have found is that whatever room I am using it in the doors must be closed, other wise the room does not stay heated for very long.

You shouldn't keep the heater on over night either. This goes with most products. It will become a fire hazard over time. Overall I have been nothing but pleased with this product, I would definitely recommend this mini space heater over most space heaters. It is a long lasting, durable, and appeasing to the eye product....
...

For many years my Kitchen would get so cold at night, I constantly worried aboutthe pipes freezing. Our Heating system was old and never really seemed to warm the house. So about 4 years ago my husband and I agreed upon the Lasko Heater - Ceramic Tower Heater to help us with this problem.

On cold nights we would set the thermostat to 55 degrees so it would only come on in the coldest of situations. In the morning, we would set it to 70 degrees to help bring up the temperature in the house so the main heater wouldn't run all the time. We keep the main unitat 68 degrees. The Lasko Heater - Ceramic Tower Heater saved us from worrying all night. Now that we have replaced our old Central unit, It doesn't get used much except to remove the chill in the morning when the day is not going to be cold enough to run the heater. It is great to have around and itis great to pocket the savings from this little wonderful heater.

blueworld says "A very safe heater!" about DeLonghi EW7707CM Liquid Fuel Radiator Heater

When I was shopping for a heater I was mostly concerned about safety, that is why I bought the DeLonghi EW7707CM radiator heater. It is portable, quiet and very safe. Because the DeLonghi EW7707CM is a oil-filled radiator heater (unlike other types of heaters) the surface will never get hot enough to cause a fire.

The heater is small and has wheels so it can be moved easily from room to room. It is also very quiet because it does not use a fan and it does not creak when it heats up. Other types of heaters have noisy fans and they also make all types of creaking noises as they heat up and get extremely hot.

The heater also has a very accurate thermostat that can maintain a constant room temperature. The accurate thermostat helps save energy because it does not get the room any hotter than it needs to be.

I recommend this heater to anyone wanting a safe heater. It is is also portable and very quiet.
...

My husband and I live in a great attic apartment; we have cool architectural details and windows, but we pay for that with ridiculous gas heating costs. Our utility costs would nearly double come November; anticipating that, we looked for alternative heating sources that would conserve energy.

Our apartment isn't insulated well, and due to the whole attic business we have trouble keeping heat from going through the roof. We researched a couple of options-- radiant heat, ceramic heaters, etc. We didn't want natural gas as we didn't want to install anything, so we went with electric. A friend of ours suggested a hot oil radiator-- we didn't think it would be a good choice given the layout of our house, but we were wrong. It took a little bit for it to get warm (natch), but a few hours after we turned it on I noticed that the room went up about 5 degrees.

The layout of our apartment (and the size as well) has a lot to do with the warmth, but we love it. We'll see how it fares when it gets...
...

The furnace went out last winter while my husband was away on a business trip. I didn't notice it until 2am when it was too late to call anyone. I turned on the EdenPure heater on the main floor (where the temp at 2am was 60 degrees) and by 8am, when I got up, it was 70 degrees in the house! I was so surprised in the morning by how comfortable it was in the house. Normally we use it along with the furnace so that the furnace won't have to run as much, I never really paid much attention to how much the EdenPure does to keep the house warm VS the furnace!

After that we are even more pleased with our purchase. Yes they can be spendy but they are worth it!

When living in the Santa Cruz Mountain my residence was a small cottage that had no central heat. I needed a way to heat the cottage as it did not sit on the ground. The cottage was raised off the ground at least one foot so the air flowed freely below the cottage. In the winter I could barely get the temperature above 55F.

I found the DeLonghi Radiator Oil Heater and it made it possible to heat the cottage and be comfortable. It isn't as if I wanted the temperature to be 70+. Just comfortable. This was the answer to this particular problem.

Living aboard a rather large sailboat also has particular issues. The mean temperature of the water is roughly 55F so that affects the temperature in the sailboat. We purchased a DeLonghi Radiator Oil Heater and it resolved the lack of heat. I can't praise DeLonghi enough for the quality and performance of their DeLonghi Radiator Oil Heater. My cat even loved the heater. She would sit right in front of the heater with her little paws beneath and soak...
...

I have a house built in the 1930s. It had a gas heater built into the bathroom wall at that time. Finally the control switch malfunctioned and couldn't be repaired. It was obsolete and couldn't be replaced. The plumber suggested and installed this one. It is not obtrusive attached to the bathroom wall, and it has heated my bathroom perfectly. Turning it on for just a few minutes prior to taking a bath takes the chill off the air and makes the room comfortable. Last winter my furnace malfunctioned, and I had no heat from it for two days. I used this heater with the bathroom door open, and it produced enough heat to make the three upstairs bedrooms bearable. It produces a lot of warmth for its small size. It is almost self cleaning, and I have never had to do anything but wipe it off with a damp cloth. It is important to provide some ventilation when using it. Opening a window slightly in the room is all that is necessary for this.
...

My DeLonghi space heater is awesome! I have one at home in my loft which tends to get drafty due to my skylight and extra window up there, but I also have one that I bring with me and leave at work in the cold weather. It fits under my desk and keeps me and my toes warm and cozy. It has lasted several years and has an oscillating feature to spread the warmth around the room. I never get that burning smell that sometimes comes from other lower quality heathers and I have purchased these as gifts for friends and family as they go down in price as the warmer weather approaches. If the item tips over, it shuts off automatically, so this is definitely a safety conscious product. I have always been able to trust Delonghi products and that brand has been purchased by me and my family for many, many years. It is durable and trustworthy and to me that it what it is truly all about!! I don't mind spending my hard earned money on Delonghi products.
...

I have a patton space heater. I originally got it for work because the price was right and the ac makes me freeze. What i like about this heater is that there is a cutoff should it get too hot... which can be a lifesaver. I have had something fall in front of it and once it got too hot it shut itself off, great if you are like me and forget to turn it off sometimes! It has a knob to choose heat setting from low to high... i find when its on low basically nothing happens. Perhaps if it was freezing outside it wuold turn on or something. there is an oscillate feature, which i never use but it works. Has a low and high fan setting. The only real problem i have with this is that it takes a bit to warm up, but once its on it gets HOT. I keep one under my desk and often find my feet sweltering, but due to its small size im surpised it has that much power. Im overall pleased with my heater and if you are looking for an inexpensice, portable heater, this may be the one for you....
...

suuze13 says "This Eden Pure 1000 is very quite and really heats up a room." about Eden Pure Model 1000

The Eden 1000 gives off very comfortable heat that is not a drying heat.
This heater heats a very large area and has appropiate safety features. If it is turned over, it will shut its self off.
This heater is cool to the touch so that if a small child should touch it or even sit on it, it will not burn them at all. The heater is a compact, square box that will go into almost any room.
During the summer, I even cover it with a small cloth and put an artificual arrangement on top of it. This give an appearance of a short table in the room.
We have been using this heater now for about two years and are very pleased with it. As matter of fact, we are even considering buying one for our master bedroom, thus we will be able to turn the thermostat on our whole house heater down. This way we save on gas and electricity.
The cost of this heater is pennies a day as compared to using our whole house heater. It is light weight thus we are able to move it into different rooms when we need it.......

emolik22 says "The best space heater I have ever owned" about Honeywell HZ7200

The Honeywell HZ-7200 is one of the best heaters that I have personally ever owned! If you are looking for an inexpensive way to keep your room warm durring those cold winter nights, go and get yourself one of these, you won't regreat it! This heater has adjustable heat thermistat that you can adjust to the temperature of your choice, it will go on and off to maintain that temperature. It is very quiet, I can't hear it running at all! If this product happens to get tipped over, it will automatically shut off until it is in the right position. It is cool to the touch too, unlike some other brands/models. You don't have to worry about your children burning themselves if they happen to touch it! It has a light indicator which tells you when it is on. There is only one thing that I could see that might cause a problem to some, the cord is very short. This in my opinoin is a safety feature, in that it ensures that the cord is not long enough to trip on. Trust me though, you will not want this...
...

krucker says "Perfect for keeping warm!" about Holmes One Touch

This little heater is great. We have been saving to pay cash for a new furnace this winter and have not turned on our heat yet this year. We have had some pretty cold nights here in GA and this little heater has kept our bedroom toasty!

The controls are great. There is a high and low setting and each of these settings has varying temps to choose from. Starting at 65 degree's and stepping up in 5 degree increments all the way to 85 degrees. It has internal temp recognition that makes it turn on when the room temp drops below the desired temp.

We even take this heater camping. We camp in a tent and hook up this heater to warm the tent. It is wonderful. It keeps the tent warm and our chihuahua is happy for the heater.

I would recomend this to anyone who is looking to heat their bedroom for the evening or it would work great in an office too. It is light, compact and easy for anyone to use anywhere.
...

I Love my Calore Ceramic Heater!! It has a handle and is very compact so it is very easy to take out of the cabinet each morning and use while I am in the shower during the cold fall and winter mornings. It heats very quickly. I would definitly recomend this model for small spaces. It even turns off and on when it gets hot enough or too cold depending on what heat setting you are using. I bought it at wal-mart and it was VERY inexpensive. Now that I know how well it works I would have payed double for this heater. One day my huge boxer puppy pushed the door open to the bathroom when I was in the shower and he knocked over the heater. I didn't know until I got out and was very pleased to see that It automatically shut off when it was knocked over. I'm very pleased!
...

bigcardriver88 says "this heater is affordable" about hertz Ceramic Heater SH-1507

IF YOU ARE HEATING YOUR HOME WITH A PORTABLE HEATER. IT DOES A GOOD JOB ON 2 ROOMS. IT WOULD COST US MORE TO REPLACE OUR GAS FURNACE DOWNSTAIRS SO A PORTABLE HEATER WOULD BE GREAT AND IT DOES NOT RUN UP THE ELECTRIC BILL NEITHER.OF COURSE YOU NEED A PORTABLE HEATER IN EACH DOWN STAIRS ROOM TO BENEFIT THE COLD OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES. THE HEATER IS GREAT IF YOU TIP IT OVER BECAUSE IT SHUTS OFF. THERE IS A HEAT ADJUSTMENT ON THE SIDE TO MOVE YOUR HEAT LOW TO THE FLOOR OR HIGH TO THE CEILING. IT HAS AN AUTOMATIC SWITCH TO TURN IT ON WHEN IT GETS A CERTAIN TEMPERATURE IN THE ROOM SO IT TURNS ON BY ITSELF. IT HAS A REMOTE CONTROL OR YOU CAN USE THE HEATER ITSELF TO ADJUST SETTINGS. THIS TYPE COSTS US ABOUT 8O.00 DOLLARS PLUS TAX. IT IS VERY LIGHT IN THE SIZE AND WEIGHT OF THE HEATER. IT IS EASY TO CHANGE FROM ONE ROOM TO ANOTHER. IT USES A NORMAL PLUG OUTLET.
...
