We purchased two of the Oreck Tabletop Air Purifiers and are loving them. My son constanlty had breathing problems and trouble sleeping at night, but once we put the air purifier in his room he has slept perfectly and the air seems to be so much cooler and cleaner.

We also placed an Oreck Tabletop Air Purifier in our general living area, which it has a little more difficult time keeping up in such a larger area, but still does fairly well.

One downfall is that it constantly needs cleaning, if they are not cleaned at least every couple of weeks or so, it emits a very loud clicking noise, which is difficult to sleep through if it starts in the middle of the night

It has different settings so that it can run more powerfully or nearly silent if you would like to put it in a baby's room.

The functionality of the product works exactly as advertized, it was a little costly and requires an above average amount of cleaning, but overall has been very much worth the money and time spent cleaning...

I own two large dogs and a rabbit and I am always trying to keep my house smelling nice and trying to keep the air in my home clean and free of allergens. I bought the Honeywell 50250 Air Purifier about three years ago to help me in these efforts. I liked the fact that it claimed to purify such a large space and that it claimed to suck up pet hair and allergens from the air. I found that it performed well in both of these areas. It also comes with a lifetime warranty on the hepa filter inside. The filter, however, does get clogged up and needs to be cleaned more often than the device claims. The filter is easy to remove and only has to be vacuumed in order to clean it. As long as you clean the filter often, this air purifier will do a very good job at keeping you home clean. Another nice feature about the Honeywell 50250 is that it is round and, therefore, sucks in air from all angles at once. I would recommend this product.

I purchased the EdenPURE G-7 after several months of Upper respiratory infections and severe allergy symptoms. To start this story, my husband and I have always been light sleepers and need noise to sleep, and have used some type of fan for the past 36 years. I have airbourne, inhalant allergies and decided to switch to an air purifier in our bedroom. We have had an air purifier for several years now, but my allergies have continued to get worse over the years. This fall was the worst yet for allergies and the upper respiratory infections really took their toll. We also put in a new furnace and have a 5 inch thick furnace filter in our heat pump. I thought this would help clean the air in the whole house better. I'm not sure it has helped a great deal. I'm always looking for a bargain, and the purchase of the EdenPURE G-7 was an expensive choice, but I had some flexible spending left, and with a note from my doctor, recommending an air purifier, instead of...

We purchased 2 of these units several years ago, hoping they would help with some household allergies. And they seem to be doing just that. No matter how many times you dust, you simply can't get everything that is in your household air. This Ionic Breeze purifier will help.

One we placed in the bedroom for a better night's sleep. The other is in our main living area. Though small, it still does the trick. Actually, the small size is one of the things we like best. Most of our house guests don't even notice it. It runs silently, and it leaves the air in the immediate vicinity with a pleasant slight scent of ozone, much like how the air smells after a rain shower. It's easy to clean the collector blades when they do get full of the "gunk" in the air (just a swipe with a slightly damp paper towel, then a swipe with a dry cloth). You'll be amazed at how much black crud collects on these blades and wonder what that stuff could be doing to your lungs instead.

These air purifiers are suitable for small to medium-sized bedrooms or home offices. The unusual feature of the Enviracaire line is that it has a HEPA filter that can be vacuumed. Honeywell calls this a permanent lifetime HEPA filter and recommends that it be vacuumed twice a year. All of the other brands of air purifiers sold by ClearFlite contain HEPA filters that must be replaced. We believe the Enviracaire is appropriate for a person who simply wants to have cleaner air for overall health, or is on a tight budget. However, for those with more serious asthma and allergy problems, or chemical sensitivity, we recommend a more substantive HEPA air purifier with a HEPA filter that can be removed and quickly disposed of, as well as a lot of activated carbon.

At first we didn't want to spend the money. We decided after some research to purchase the Professional Plus Ionic Breeze GP and the Hybrid GP unit also. The Professional Plus needs the bulb. As the bulb starts to go it makes more noise so you need to clean it more often. With the Hybrid I have to turn it down if we are sitting by it because it is cold air. Shortly after we purchased these units we heard some negatives on TV and called and had our questions answered and felt better about our purchase.

We have in floor heating with no air flow in the winter so when we had a plumber come to our home he remarked that it was a very good idea to have the air purifiers for air flow.

Except for needing a bulb and not knowing where to get one locally and the fact that cleaning the Hybrid is hard to get to some inside areas, we are happy with the results and our purchase of these air purifiers!

I've bought a number of air cleaners over the years that didn't work worth a hoot. This one does! I've purchased a total of four of these. The first one I bought several years ago for an allergic boyfriend who had a chain-smoking roommate with a huge cat. The rest of the house smelled like a giant ash tray, but with the Odor Grabber running in his room, IT was odor free. It did not however prevent waking up in the middle of the night to find the cat sleeping on your butt, lol. I purchased a second one for my own home after my son started having chronic bronchitis. I eventually found out we had mildew in the walls, but the Odor Grabber really helped my son's allergies and reduced the frequency of his bouts with bronchitis until I could sell the house and move us. It worked so well that I later bought one for my mother who has always had hay fever and asthma. And when my son moved out and took the Odor Grabber with him, I bought another one for myself. An October 2008 report by the Department of Environmental Health at the Harvard School of Public Health reports that people with COPD “have substantial mortality risks associated with exposure to particles.” According to the study, particles may impair ventilation in COPD patients by causing airway narrowing and increasing the work of breathing.

So while air purifiers are certainly not a cure for COPD, they can provide cleaner air, which according to the Harvard study, is paramount to people with COPD.

And after doing research The Honeywell HEPA captures 99.97 percent of pollutants from the air. So We ordered one at first we thought it would be a problem to install. We Were Wrong. IT WAS SO EASY TO INSTALL We do not have a forced air system But the Honeywell Whole-House HEPA Air Cleaner Also can stand alone. So we just independently ducted it. Also to replace the filters...

Be aware that even though the motor is not in the direct air flow that odors from the motor will still mix with the clean air. If you are sensitive to chemicals and odors then expect to off-gas Airpura machines for 2 months before using. To off-gas, I ran it in the garage without the filter and the odor was so bad I could smell it in the house. The factory assures me that the same motor is in all of their machines.

The factory refused to admit there is a problem, cannot return without a restocking fee.

Works nicely once it is off-gassed.

The Ecoquest Fresh Air Living Air Purifier is a life saver. I started developing allergies during the last couple of years. I live in Georgia so the Spring and Fall seasons are really bad for allergy problems. I was waking up every morning with sinus headaches and this unit completely solved the problem.

It gives off a strange odor when you are first getting used to it but it is not bad. You have to give it a couple of days and then you will not notice it anymore. It makes the house smell very fresh and clean. I have even had guests to comment on how clean and fresh the house smells.

I have a 110 pound White German Shepherd and I used to notice her doggy smell but since plugging in the Ecoquest Fresh Air Living Air Purifier I do not notice it at all. Everyone needs one of these if they have pets or allergies. We do not smoke but I imagine it would be very helpful with smoking odors also.

I got the Homedics Brethe after seeing it in a store display...while being in one of those, "oh why not? I'll try something different" types of moods. I was pleasantly surprised by the product- it really does seems to clean the air in my house. It DEFINITELY gets rid of odors. I enjoyed the scents that came with the machine...vanilla, lime, and citrus. All are good-smelling without being over-whelming. The machine is fairly quiet, and the light-up feature is a nice bonus.

After about a month, I purchased the full size oils, this time lavender and citrus. I was a little surprised at the cost of the scents- about fifteen dollars each. One bottle will last about a month if you use the machine every day.

While this is an innovative, well-working product, it is a little pricey for what it actually accomplishes; the machine itself is approximately $50 dollars, and each scent additive ranges from $10 to $15 dollars.

I bought two Neotec XJ-2000 unlts a few years ago upon recommendation from a coworker. I had been waking up each morning congested. I overheard my coworkers discussing various ionic air purifiers one day, saying they really helped with nasal congestion, and allergies. One had bought a large whole house unit (another brand) for $500 and was saying it made the wall behind the unit black and the replacement filters needed to be changed often and were quite expensive. Another said he bought a Neotec unit and liked it and it had a washable filter and no black wall. Upon his recommendation, I checked out information online and also bought. According to the website, the two units would cover my living and bedroom area sizes. The units shipped promply. I did like the smell of the air, and it did seem to help my congestion. I let them run all the time.

I cleaned the metal pull out filter at least once a month per the instructions that came with the unit. It was not too bad...

Ionic Breeze is my favorite air purifier, I like it very much for several reason. First, I bought it with a bargain price when Sharper imagine offered buy one and get the second one 50%, plus a $100 gift card. I bought four Ionic breezes and put them in three of our rooms. The air of the house became much better. Second, ionic Breeze is very economic. I don't need to buy any filter form. What I need to do is to wipe the dust from the blades and put the blades back to the machine, then it start to produce the clean air again. My room is so clean, I don't ahve to suffer from allergy any more. Later, Sharper image sold me four attachments which can conver ozon on the ground to oxygen. I can smell the air different right away. I have been using ionic Breze for 8 years. The last reason, I like ionic Breeze for its energy saving. They don't cost much electricity and I let them run 24 fours a day and 365 days a year. They are still working very well amd still save...

I have severe allergies that were affecting my quality of life. it got to the point I was miserable day and night.Medicines only masked symptoms for a short time and made me drowsey, shakey, and unabe to function. Doctors couldn't help.

One day when visiting a local health store I was introduced to the AUSTIN AIR PURIFIER and since my life has never been the same!

I purchased a Filtrete Clean AIr purifier for my bedroom about 7 months ago and I love it! I was skeptical since I had used other air purifiers but this one has been the best thing for my family and I, ever! I use it in my bedroom and the air in there is totally different from the air in the other 5 rooms in my house. I feel refreshed when I wake up in the mornings now, unlike before the air purifier was placed in the bedroom. My nose isn't all stuffy and I breathe much better. I have sinus problems and it has helped those tremendously. I don't take as much sinus medication as i did before placing the Filtrete Clean Air in my bedroom! I wish I had one in every room of the house because i'm sure it would help if I were in that environment all the time, not just during my sleeping hours. I can honestly say that it was well worth the money. I love the "reminder" that lets me know when to change the filter. The first time I did change the filter I was in shock at the things it had captured!!!...

I got 2 Ionic Breezes a couple years ago. They are good looking machines, don't take up much room, and really help with the normal dust and pollution you find in any home. I have asthma and I believe they have helped that problem. You can easily see, when you clean them, how much pollution from your home that they keep from getting into and around your house. I don't have near the dust on the furniture in my home that I had before I got them. I have one in the bedroom and one in the living room. I also like the feature they both hove that tells you when it's time to clean them. I usually clean them before the 'time to clean' light comes on, but the have been a few times that I haven't gotten around to it and I like the fact that the light comes on to tell me. Plus, the cleaning is SO easy. You just pull out the inside and wash it under the faucet, let it dry and put it back into the machine. I would definitely recommend these Ionic Breeze machines to everybody!!

I was a a bit hesitent at first in purchase because it was a bit pricy for me. Anything over a hundred dollars is pricey to me. However, i soon found that sometimes it's worth spending for quality. The sharper image ionic does not dissapoint. I was startled at how much junk was in the air around me. The first day of running the purifier I pulled out the filter to see how much dirt was collected. It was gross. It should be noted that the purifier is easy to clean. All you really need is a paper towel to clean the filter inside. I was a bit put off by the size of the unit. however, once inplace you really don'e even see it. it blends into the background. Also, it is very quiet. I have seen some purifiers that can be annoyingly noisy. If you have family members whoe have allergies or sensitive to air thus purifier would be highly recommended. I liked it so much that I eventually got the smaller version for the bathroom.

When I first saw the Bell & Howell Ionic Whisperer that I'd just received in the mail, I thought, "This thing is too small to make a difference in the air in my room." I plugged it up, turned it on & couldn't even hear it. I just knew that I was going to be returning it to the company I'd just bought it from. Boy was I wrong! I'd love to have one for each room in our home!! Within 5 minutes my room had a crisp, clean, fresh scent, the cigarette smoke that I had just seen floating in layers in the air in my bedroom & the doggie smell from 2 dogs was completely gone.

The Bell & Howell Ionic Whispererthat I purchased is a small one,about 12 inches tall & maybe 3 inches wide. It doesn't take up much space at all but what a powerful little unit! I was totally amazed at how quickly the air in my room was changed from smokey & stagnent with a hint of doggie odor to clean, clear & with a refreshing scent.
