zebrachicy says "This vacuum can suck up anything" about Dyson DC15 Animal Vacuum

I love the Dyson vacuum cleaners. When I purchased my Dyson, I had 6 cats and they was hair all over my house. I had another bran vacuum cleaner for 2 years and it broke and wouldn't suck up anything. The bags were a mess and it was hard to handle.

So I sprung for a Dyson. I have now had it for 5 years and it's still going strong just like the day that I bought it. It is easy to use and take apart if there is a problem with something getting clogged in it. You can also clean up an entire flight of stairs while the heavy base unit is on the bottom level which is easy on the stairs, the vacuum cleaner and your back!

Everything about it is easy and user friendly and the quality is remarkable. It is well worth every penny that we spent on it. If I ever need to purchase another vacuum cleaner (not really sure why I would need to because this one is still going strong!) I will be sure to get another Dyson.
...

This little inexpensive sewing machine does and excellent job. It is portable and lighweight. It is extremely easy to thread and to sew with. The instruction guide is very easy to understand. This machine is one tough worker. I've sewed everything from fine lace to jean material and it doesn't skip a beat. It is an great machine for beginners and for advanced sewers. It has many capabilites and sewing options. It is very easy to jump from one option to another. The bobbin is a standard one and I wish it was the drop in but it is okay as long as you tread it right and as long as the tread is wrapped correctly on the bobbin spool. The machine comes with quite a few sewing feet that are easy to put on. The one thing I don't like is how quickly the bobbin area becomes filled with compacted dust. The brush they provide with the machine doesn't do a good enough job of cleaning. I just take canned air and blow it out. You do have to constantly check for buildup. All in all...
...

This gaget saved my life or well i should say my floors as a homeschooling mom of 3 soon to be four I dont have alot of time! I can push the clean button before bed or befor i leave the house and when i wake up or get home my floor is spotless! It is deffinatly worth the money especallly if you do not like to vaccuum it picks up cherrios and everything! I love it! It is so much quiter than a traditional vaccuum there is no cord to trip over it even finds its way back to its docking base! It saves me so much time if i run it every night i am no longer afraid of people just stoping by and lookg at my floor saying ewww gross! Evey once and a while it will get stuck onder my rocking chir but no big deal. And you can tell if it sucks up something itwasnt supposed to like a leg cause it will make a quite clunking noise . So in my opinion very helpful and efficiant its like haveing a maid! only much cheaper over the long run!
...

I have lived in a house with a basement that requires a dehumidifier for over 30 years. I've used a lot of name brands that did not last very long during this time. I have found that having them repaired is not financially feasible. Five years ago I purchased an Edison on the recommendation of a relative who worked in a hardware store. It has worked well with no problems. It has a control that allows the selection of the degree of dryness desired. I change this a lot depending on the outdoor temperature and humidity to get the level of moisture in the air that is desirable. It is easy to empty, and I really appreciate that. I had one previously that had a water bucket that was hard to remove and reinstall. In wet weather, it has to be emptied often making this a real problem. It can easily be fixed to use a hose for draining if there is a sewer set up to allow that. It is small and attractive. It looks like a nice piece of furniture and is available in neutral colors...
...

I bought the yellow C07 Dyson Vacuum. It's bag-less which is a nice thing to have. To empty the vacuum is pretty easy and doesn't make a huge mess like some others I have had. The vacuum picks up a lot of dirt but still leaves a lot of hair and dirt left behind from my long haired dachshunds. I had always heard of how good the suction is on this thing and the suction is just not that good. I feel I could have bought a better vacuum at a much better price. Another thing is the smell. When I vacuum with the C07 Dyson it puts out a weird smell. I have totally cleaned everything on the machine and yet it still has this smell to it. I can't figure out where the smell is coming from so I have to spray air freshener through out the house when I am done vacuuming. I went and bought a Rainbow vacuum and it runs circles around the Dyson. I vacuumed with the Dyson and then ran the Rainbow over the same area and it looked like I had never vacuumed with the Dyson. Don't waste...
...

We just bought our first home and needed to replace the old gas range the owner's before us left. We had a lot to do so we only had a small amount of money to spend. We found this range for only $399 plus 10% off and it was very nice looking so we jumped on it. The delivery person had it installed in about ten minutes and it works great! It has closed off burners so food can't drip underneath which I really love. A timer and a clock are a nice bonus since our last stove did not have those. The dials are labeled very clearly and are easy to understand for your temperature settings. The knobs are extremely easy to turn on so we have to put safety covers on them to keep our little ones from causing a fire but that is not a problem at all. Overall, I am very impressed with the product for such a cheap price.
...

lenabr says "PerfectTemp feature is a serious design flaw" about GE Washer - Profile Top Load - WPRE6100G

This washer has a serious design flaw. If you think on the Hot cycle it fills the water from your hot water tap, think again. It dilutes the incoming hot water with cold to the "perfect" 105F. To me this is tepid, not hot.

I complained to GE people that the hot water is not hot enough, and they said that the PerfecTemp Target Wash Temperatures: Hot- 105° , Warm- 90° , Cold- 60°.

However, the owners manual says "Make sure house water heater is delivering water at 120°F–140°F (48°C–60°C)" .

Something does not add up. I should NOT have to heat the water only to get it diluted with cold water. This is a huge waste of energy and money.

I conducted an experiment - set my washer to Hot and started the cycle with the lid open. When it switched water from hot to cold I used a large kitchen pot to catch cold water and empty it into a 5 gallon bucket. Well, more than 10 GALLONS of wasted cold water later I finally got to wash in HOT water.

And here is what the GE people...
...

Do not buy a washing machine or for that matter any other product made by Miele.
I purchased a Miele washing machine and it arrived nearly a month ago with a broken drain hose connector. Despite Miele's marketing claims of wonderful customer service, my experience has been miserable, and utterly sub-par as compared to my experiences with GE, Jenn-Aire, LG and other manufacturers (I have done numerous renovations in recent years and have purchased numerous large appliances). First, it was nearly impossible to reach their customer service department (waits on hold of up to 30 minutes). Second, after finally reaching them I was told it would take a week for them to send a tech to inspect the damage. Third, when the tech finally arrived he announced that he did not have the necessary parts and that they were not even in the U.S., but would have to be shipped from Germany. Fourth, I have received misleading assurances as to when the part would arrive: one customer service rep told me it would...
...

I was so excited when I purchased this washing machine. After a few weeks things turned. From the start clothes came out very twisted and wrinkled, not to mention they came out cleaner with my old maytag. I also experienced coins falling thru the washer. When I called Whirlpool they basicly said 'Oh well, call a repairman'. This sure seems like a design flaw to me. I have a family of 6, so I DO CHECK POCKETS! Even so, things have been missed. It dosen't seem right to need a repairman to remove 15cents. F1 and load codes all the time. Now it is locked in a mode that won't spin or drain! This washer is energy efficient for Whirlpool, but not for me.

I live in a small studio apartment, so I am always looking for solutions to keep my place clean, and I am especially concerned about vacuuming and keeping the place free of dust. I use a large vacuum for my floors, but often times I just need to do a quick pickup and this Black & Decker CHV1400 14.4-Volt Cyclonic DustBuster is great for easy cleanup. What I love about this vacuum is that it is rechargeable and bagless so it is perfect when I spot some dirt and dust, or need to cleanup something fast. I like the soft green color and it doesn't have a very loud noise, plus the charge on the dustbuster lasts a long time, so that I can do an entire room. The dustbuster is lightweight and the perfect solution for getting my room cleaned. It picks up tiny particles you can see as well as all the dust and dirt you can't see. I use this on my carpets, chairs and sofas and it easily picks up crumbs, hair and other objects that make your room look messy. I found this on sale for around...
...

She's a pricey little piece of machinery, but she's worth every penny. We have two dogs and a mix of hardwood floors and carpeting and I have to say this vacuum stands up to each surface without any problems. Not even the dog hair and dirt dragged in stands a chance.

I've compared it against other vacuums that I've had in the past, and there really just isn't a comparison. The only real downfall, other than that hefty price tag, is that it's a slightly cumbersome on stairs. The hose and stair attachment are a little bit awkward to wield. I've tried starting at the top and starting at the bottom of the stairs and it just doesn't seem to make a difference. Hopefully on Dyson's new models they'll resolve this problem some how.

But, if you're in the market for a vacuum that is easy to use, picks up virtually anything and is manueverable, even under tables and beds, well, this is the little machine that you want.
...

In the summer of 2007, I bought a Sears Kenmore Premium Washer model 11024942301. In the late autumn of 2009, it vibrated so bad, we thought the basket would fly out of the housing and kill someone.

Today, Nov. 7, 2009, the Sears service technician said it needs a new gearcase, a new basket drive, a new sub-coupler, and a new block-drive, which, with labor, would cost $545.00.!!!

My previous washer was a Whirlpool and lasted 25 years. I figured that a Kenmore would be just as good, since it is made by Whirlpool. But everything is made in China now, so shopping for Chinese products is like throwing your money away.

Don't buy Sears Kenmore Premium washers until they start making them in the USA again.
...

I purchased the Maytag Legacy Series Dryer model number MED5770TQ0 from Home Depot in 2007 and have been unhappy with it for two years. While it is still working for the most part, I have had a repairman work on it seven different times. This model overheats easily and must sit about a foot from the wall which is very inconvenient. I'm always dropping things behind it and it takes forever to try and fish them our. The Sensor Dry control never seems to work properly. I'm just have to keep turning the dryer back on over and over. The filter in located on the top of the machine which makes a mess when you have to clean it out. The lint goes everywhere. Plus, it is one of the loudest dryers I have ever owned. My last dryer was a GE brand that lasted for eighteen years. I don't think this one will last another year at the rate it is going. I have to dry everything on low heat. If I use the high heat setting for heave items such as bulky towels, then they come out with a terrible smell. So next...
...

My DeLonghi space heater is awesome! I have one at home in my loft which tends to get drafty due to my skylight and extra window up there, but I also have one that I bring with me and leave at work in the cold weather. It fits under my desk and keeps me and my toes warm and cozy. It has lasted several years and has an oscillating feature to spread the warmth around the room. I never get that burning smell that sometimes comes from other lower quality heathers and I have purchased these as gifts for friends and family as they go down in price as the warmer weather approaches. If the item tips over, it shuts off automatically, so this is definitely a safety conscious product. I have always been able to trust Delonghi products and that brand has been purchased by me and my family for many, many years. It is durable and trustworthy and to me that it what it is truly all about!! I don't mind spending my hard earned money on Delonghi products.
...

I purchased my first Rainbow vacuum cleaner about 13 years ago. I have not owned another vacuum since as this is truly the best that money can buy. The best part of this vacuum is that it uses water instead of bags to collect all the dirt and debris. There are so many uses for this vacuum and I don't have enough time to get into all of them, but what I will say is that I will never own any other type of vacuum ever again as this is the one I swear by. The only bad thing about it is the price as it is upwards of $1,000. But when you consider the fact that you will neve rhave to purchase bags for a vacuum ever again, it pretty much makes sense. The suction is excellent and it has helped my family with their allergies. I am sort of a clean freak, so this is definitely my "toy" of choice! I have a labrador retriever and so a lot of pet hair accumulates, but all I have to do it take out my Rainbow and it's all clean up easily!
...

chrysnblue says "Couldn't imagine life without it!" about Brother Brother SE270D Computerized Sewing and Embroidery Machine

Brother's computerized SE270D features 97 built-in embroidery designs including 27 Mickey Mouse and friends designs and 70 additional designs for floral, seasonal and many more themes. There are five built-in monogramming fonts in three different sizes help create a variety of insignia, logos, and emblems.

The machine in general - threading the needle couldn't be easier, you slide in the cartridge and it does the rest for you! It has a foot pedal, but it also has a button on the front of the machine that works the same way if, like me, you are not so talented with the foot work! The machine is lightweight enough to enable you to move it around easily, but heavy enough to be sturdy and sound. The touch screen is extremely easy to use, and it even includes a help section, in case you should get stuck and don't want to go back to the manual. Overall, it has all the features of older machines, plus some, without being too complicated that you aren't use it!

It has quite a few Brother Embroidery...
...

maggiemay321 says "The Panasonic NI-C78SR iron is the best iron I've ever had." about Panasonic ni-c78sr

The Panasonic NI-C78SR iron is by far the best iron I have ever owned. My favorite features are the detachable water tank which makes it easier to fill without making a mess and the retractable cord. It also has an anti-calcium system to prevent buildup caused by hard water which can block the steam system. Plus, for under $40 this iron performs like the more expensive irons such as the Oreck Cordless Iron. This iron heats quickly and puts out lots of steam. Also, the temperature controls does a super job. The only reason I did not give the iron 5 stars is that my first Panasonic NI-C78SR iron had an electrical problem and stopped working after about two years of usage. But I loved my first iron so much, I had to have a second. I've had my second one for about two years and I hope it last much longer. These irons do a great job of getting rid of the wrinkles without damaging your clothes and its not to heavy either.
...

I chose this vacuum since our last Panasonic vacuum lasted over 15 years with little maintainance, cleaning afer a family of four. I have now had this vacuum for six months and I am disappointed by how poorly designed this vacuum has turned out to be. First, it is quite heavy and difficult to transport up and down the stairs. Pushing it around is a workout. After several months and a little breaking in, it is unable to stand upright on its own and must be left leaning against a surface since it is very top heavy and falls backward at the slightest touch. The latch for pushing to release the dirt door broke off almost immediately. The brush attachments fall out of their holders and have to be stored seperately. It is easily clogged by any moderate sized paper or dirt. The only redeaming features are that it is effective at getting up the pet hair from our dog (labrador) and cat, the retractable cord works well, and the handle is easily adjusted in height so that any member of the family...
...
