LoveisJoy says "Visine Allergy Control: The Relief Is Worth the Sting" about Visine AC Astringent Redness Reliever Eye Drops

I probably spend five to six months of the year bothered by seasonal allergy symptoms. In addition to the usual suspects - sneezing, coughing, sinus headache, congestion, and itching - I also experience red, weepy, itchy eyes. Sometimes the eye problems are mild and other times I feel like I want to scratch my eyeballs out. I've tried various eye drops from prescription to generic over-the-counter products, and I have found that Visine A.C. Eye Drops provides the most dependable allergy eye relief without a prescription. Visine has a variety of specialized formulas on the market, but Visine AC is an astringent-based product that is specifically designed for "Allergy Control" - to relieve itching, burning, and watery eyes due to pollen, dust, and ragweed. So, if your redness is exclusively from dry eyes or tired eyes, this is not the product for you. But if you suffer from seasonal allergies, Visine AC can provide long-lasting relief. — You can...

H1s-Bel0ved says "Midol is the only thing that calms my killer cramps." about Midol Midol Menstrual Complete: Maximum Strength

Though I haven't been 'definitively' diagnosed (to do so requires a small surgery), it's pretty likely that I have endometriosis. This means what is normally an uncomfortable time of the month becomes something that can leave me bedridden with pain and nausea. I'm on a prescription but even so, when 'that time' comes, I love my Midol. I have tried extra strenth Tylenol, Advil, heat pads, etc. etc. etc. but the only thing that even makes a dent in my pain is Midol. It's more expensive than 'normal' pain relievers but it allows me to make it through my day comfortably and even helps my bloating! If you have painful cramps, please, do yourself a favor and at least give Midol a try, you'll probably be thanking me. —...

SpokaneMan says "Tylenol Extra Strength Gel Caps, Pain Reliever & Fever Reducer" about Tylenol Extra- Strength Gel Caps

Tylenol has always been a great product, and over the years it has become my choice of pain reliever. I hadn't purchased any in a while though, and when I went to the store to pick some up, I came across the geltabs. These geltabs are the easiest things to swallow I have ever come across. Instead of dissolving right after you put them in your mouth, it gives you a few moments to take that drink of water and get them down before the medicine starts to kick in. This is a big step up for me, because I have always really disliked the tastes of medicines, and not having to taste what I am putting into my body was a real plus for me. The Tylenol Extra Strength Gel Caps were just what "the doctor ordered" when it comes to dealing with my symptoms from now on, and they will become a mainstay in my medicine cabinet. — — As I said, I picked them up at the store (a grocery store), and have seen them nearly everywhere that medications are sold. The Tylenol Extra Strength Gel...

After my rollover in October of '94 I was in serious pain and the rehabilitation Dr. prescribed Ultram because he said he would not give me a Narcotic Pain Reliever until it was determined that my pain was real! As you can imagine I wanted to knock him into space right about then but being I could barely move I just sat there and stewed. I had no choice of doctors at the time so I took what I could get. — — Anyway I was to take it every 6 hours and was hoping it would give me some relief but as the days turned to weeks I was only sleeping 2 hours at a time and friends said I looked like death warmed over. I then decided to issue a complaint through work and get a different Dr. as the quack I was seeing refused to give me anything else because in his opinion I was faking it! The only thing I got from taking it were constant headaches, so the cure was worse than I started with. — — If you have teenagers you will appreciate this next part...lol My oldest...

Mucinex for Kids is an expectorant to be used when a child has a cough. The Active ingredient in Mucinex is Guaifenesin (expectorant). — My son had a cough and his Doctor recommended this product every four hours for his symptoms. I used the adult version (a tablet) of this product with great success. It really helped get a good nights sleep. — I gave my son his first dose and after he drank it down he complained. He said it tastes disgusting. I told him to drink water to get the taste out of his mouth. Four hours later, it was time for another dose. He did not want to take it but gave in. — At this point, I wanted to see how bad it really did taste. UGH!!! What a mistake that was. The artificial grape flavor is so overwhelming, and it is disgustingly sweet. I put the ole readers on and read those tiny little words on the back of the bottle. — There are not one, but two different dyes added,...

To the PointI have been using Arnica Gel for years in a variety of forms including pellets that dissolve under the tongue. The purpose is to relieve pain of muscle aches and stiffness as well as alleviating some pain, swelling and bruising from surgery. — My tube from the company Boiron is 1.5 ounces. I bought it at the supermarket for $5.99. Arnica Gel lasts a long time so don't let the price get in the way. — A Closer View — While writing this I took a look around and found that the American Cancer Society, after looking at many studies determined that Arnica really doesn't do what it claims to do. http://www.cancer.org/docroot/ETO/content/ETO_5_3X_Arnica.asp?sitearea=ETO. — From that site: "Other common name(s): arnica root, common arnica, arnica flowers, mountain arnica, mountain tobacco, leopardsbane, wolfsbane — Scientific/medical name(s): Arnica montana — Arnica is a perennial herb that grows in Europe, the northern United States,...

After spending a week in a bathing suit and in the pool, I developed a urinary tract infection. I had the classic symptoms: sudden urgent need to urinate and burning pain during the whole process. I didn't want to go through the hassle of seeing the doctor, so I bought some Uristat and cranberry pills at the local drug store and hoped for the best. — — The active ingredient in Uristat is phenazopyridine hydrochloride. I can't say this for sure but I'm thinking that it is an over-the-counter version of Macrobid which I had to use a few times several years ago for UTIs. Uristat relieves the pain/burning associated with urinary tract infections and it also eliminates the urgent need to hit the bathroom every 5 minutes. — — I had excellent results when I used Uristat. I was able to relax and just pee when I really needed to do so. The fact that it turned my urine a deep orange-red color was a bit of a shock, but the...

I don't have a chronic heartburn problem but there are times when it does hit me. That's when I want something to ease the discomfort and sometimes down right pain of heartburn. I have tried the old time remedies my parents tried but they never worked for me. My parents drank buttermilk or downed a tablespoon of vinegar but it always made mine worse. I used to take Tums until I found another just as good but less expensive. — — Equate Ultra Strength Antacid Tablets - Fruit Flavored — — I buy the bottle with 72 in it and of course I like the fruit ones so that's what I get. Right on the bottle they want you to know these are comparable to Tums Ultra and that they are not made by GlaxoSmithCline. They are the same size, look like and taste like Tums, they also work like them! That being said I take 2 when heartburn hits and a few minutes later I feel a whole lot better. These come in orange, lemon, lime and cherry flavors and if you sift through...
