Smartblondi says "Best sleep EVER!" about Breathe Right Nasal Strips

I love these! I tried them about a year ago and they help me sleep so much better. I have seasonal allergies and these always help me get a better nights sleep. I do not have any problems with placing them accurately on my nose or have any problems with them coming off. They open me up so well! My skin is sensitive and at first I was worried that it would be irritated but it wasn't. I usually get the small size strips and that has worked fine for me.

I also try to keep a stash in my travel bag so that I can sleep better when I am away from home. These have actually helped me sleep almost as much as sleep medicine!

Overall - I really like these and try to keep a stash ... especially in the spring when my allergies act up. No problems with skin irritation or falling off.
...

whispfeath says "Breathe Right strips give me a better night's sleep." about Breathe Right Nasal Strips

I admit, I was a sceptic about these Breathe Right strips ever since seeing the first commercials several years ago. Why did I change my mind? After receiving some samples from my local pharmacy and having my partner complain about my snoring at night (a trait I've inherited from my dad), I decided to try the samples and had great results.

The construction of the strips really does allow it to open the nasal passages. Because of this, I apparently don't snore when I use the strips. Another problem I have at night is nasal congestion, and I found that the Breathe Right strips help with that as well (a bonus I was not expecting). I can tell that I am having a much easier time breathing at night so I have been feeling more rested after my sleep.

The strip is firm but not too hard, so it hasn't been uncomfortable for me, and the sticky residue left after I pull the strip off in the morning isn't too difficult to remove. The only thing I really only have to remember is to not use moisturizer...
...

kle0686 says "Thankfully, Breathright strips work for me!" about Breathe Right Nasal Strips

Breath Right Nasal Strips were a product that my husband and I saw advertised on TV and wondered how well they worked. Apparently, I occasionally snore and my husband was unhappy with it. If he snores, I would never know because I always seem to fall asleep before him and stay asleep. In fact, it is an effort for him to wake me up.

One day we were in the store and decided to pick up a box of these mysterious strips and try them out. That night, I opened the box and found more packaging inside. Each strip is packaged like a Band-Aid bandage. It is a little annoying and tedious to open the strip and end up with up to four pieces of garbage when all you want to do is get in bed and fall asleep.

The next morning, as I was taking the strip off, I asked my husband if it had worked. He confirmed it, adding what a great sleep he was finally able to have.

We were both thinking the same thing the next night. Maybe I just didn't snore the night before. So I finished the box of 10 and then...
...

Okay I admit it. I am an self acknowledged insomniac who does not want to see a physician for a prescription. Therefore I have tried many of the over the counter sleep aids available, Sleepinal being one of these. They are capsules, packaged individually on tear apart foil and are very easy to use. The package claims that they will help you fall asleep fast for a safe, restful sleep. I did find the latter part of this to be true. Recommended dosage is one tablet, but I found taking only one to be totally ineffective. Because of this I increased my dosage to two, being afraid to go any higher. Even taking two, I do not find myself feeling sleepy for a good hour. I do however accomplish a nice restful sleep once I fall asleep. I would not purchase Sleepinal again as I did not feel that I got my monies worth. They are non habit forming and I do awaken without that sluggish feeling. I prefer something that is a little faster acting.
...

I started using the Equate nite time sleep aid tablets after my second daughter was born because i had a very weird sleep schedule. it took me forever to fall asleep by myself. But once i took the tablets, I was able to fall asleep fast and actually feel rested when i woke up. The only downside to the pills is that I feel they can be habit forming and also it is very hard to wake up in the morning after i've taken them. I have been taking them on and off for the past few weeks, and it feels like i cant sleep without them.
...

i used the breathe stripes for 2 months and i never slept better in my life. i thought i had sleep apnea like my sister, and thought i would have to get one of those machines to sleep with at night. i did not want that. i tried these stripes and i slept all night long and felt very refreshed the next morning. The only downfall is you have to put them on correctly but after a couple times of using them it is like second nature. So if you think you have sleep apnea try these first, you will be glad you did!
...

RutgersFan says "Helps me sleep better" about Breathe Right Nasal Strips

Does Breathe Right stop me from snoring? No, not according to my husband. It LESSENS it, but doesn't eliminate it. Fortunately, he has evolved and can sleep through the racket now.

BUT ... I still refuse to sleep without my Breathe Right strip. I wear one every night without fail. It really helps hold open the nasal air passageways. It makes sleeping so much more comfortable. I used to wake up with horribly caked up dry-mouth and a thick, pasty tongue from breathing through my mouth all night long ... not anymore.

Sleep is much more deep and restful with Breathe Right. I buy the large boxes at Sam's Club or Costco ... 38 strips for about $10. It's more than worth the price.

The only down side is removing the strip in the morning ... you must be sure to wet it very thoroughly first, otherwise, you'll leave a mark and it can hurt! But hey, if it didn't stick really well it wouldn't do its job, so if that's the trade-off, I'll take it.
...

I didn't have faith that these would work, but during certain seasons they are the only way I can breathe at all. Of course, if you don't apply the Breathe Right Strips correctly all bets are off. You may be able to breathe out of one side of your nose, but not the other, etc. But, these allow me to sleep better when the allergens are wreaking havoc with my sinuses.
Other times I've had issues with them, but I was totally and completely stopped up. I put on the Breathe Right Strips and I could minimally breathe. It helped, but it wasn't like breathing normally by any means. I would still recommend them and I still use them.
...

I love Hyland's Calms Forte because for the first time in a long time I had a full night of sleep! I've always had a hard time sleeping. Most nights I just can't get comfortable or lay still. Some nights I grind my teeth. Either way I'm waking up over and over throughout the night. I've tried regular sleep aids but the next day I'd feel like I hadn't even slept. And prescription sleeping pills, if they were even an option, have to many side-effects. I take Calms Forte about 30mins. before bed. It doesn't make me drowsy. It just relaxes me so I can sleep. There's no teeth grinding or waking up having to move around. And because the ingredients are all natural, there's no side-effects. I wake up in the morning feeling refreshed!...

Breathe Right Snore Relief Throat Rinse is an AMAZING product! My husband has a habit of trying to imitate a freight train when he sleeps! Subsequently, we have tried every remedy available to no avail. I purchased this throat rinse with little expectation of it really helping so I was completely shocked (and overjoyed!) when it did! He began gargling with it 12-18 months ago and I immediately began sleeping better. Funny, it is quickly apparent if he had forgotten to use it before coming to bed, but luckily - with a gentle nudge - he has no reservations about getting up at 1 or 2am to gargle.
If your beloved snores, THIS PRODUCT IS FOR YOU!!!

***The problem is.... Breathe Right has ceased manufacture of this wonder-product! I have been fortunate and found several bottles on clearance shelves at various stores. The Breathe Right website mentions nothing about it's discontinuation, and I've rcvd no response after emailing to inquire.

...

My husband had tried Breathe Right Strips for snoring a few years ago, and it didn't help him at all. He still snored, and I still heard him snore. So for this purpose, I would not recommend this product. However, I find them to be a LIFESAVER when any of us is suffering from nasal congestion. They really help to open up your nasal passageway and allow you to breathe again.

I really don't know how these things works, but you just place them right above your nostrils (there is an illustration in the package showing exactly where to put them) and somehow....magically.....you can breathe again! BUT, you have to apply them exactly as it shows or they don't work. Also, they come in different sizes so pay attention to that. They make SM/MED, LARGE, and they even make them just for kids. We all know that when you can't breathe, trying to sleep is virtually impossible. I use these things at night when we're sick, and they really do help.

My favorite kind of Breathe Right Strips...
...

A few years ago wife found out she has low bone density. Her doctor won't put her on a pain management plan fear of being addicted so she recommended sleep/pain pills that are bought over the counter. Wife started on tylenol that worked for a few months then just stopped. Wife woke up in the middle of night and could not go back to sleep back was off centered. Went to Excedrin and works good but found out that ADVIL WORKS BEST. Advil has not stopped working when Excedrin works most of the time but not always. Wife takes Excedrin in the morning every morning but Advil at night Not great stuff but does work most of the time....

Unfortunately I happen to be one of those people who just can't sleep at night. The doctor tells me that while my body is physically exhausted and more than ready for rest at night, my brain is getting its second wind.

Being a writer and having a very vivid, creative imagination, I find it hard to come up with the next plot in a chapter during the day, while I am at my regular job. I guess that's why my brain kicks in at night when I should be sleeping.

For years I have had sleep problems and have tried this or that. After a while nothing worked, which prompted me to go to the doctor. Actually I have gone to 3 and all 3 of them have told me they recommend Excedrin PM as the best sleep aid.

The other brands on the market don't have but 25 mg of sleep aid, but Excedrin PM has 38 mg. Take one of those babies and you are out for the night. And the best thing is, that you wake up feeling refreshed. None of that dazed feeling you get while taking the other stuff.

I highly recommend Excedrin PM for......

I've been using this product off and on for a couple of weeks now.

My wife has trouble sleeping at night and my snoring is a contributor. So, I looked at alternatives that might help her sleep better.

The nasal strips did not affect my snoring at all. I looked at Osco pharmacy for throat sprays to see if they might help. The theory is that coating the vibrating area in the throat that makes noise will reduce the snoring, at least initially.

Unlike Walgreens, Osco did not have any private label sprays. So, I looked at the sprays and then came across this product, which is gargled. It seemed to me that the 15 seconds of recommended gargling might so a better job of coating than the sprays. So, I bought this, paying $12 for a 10 oz bottle.

The directions are to take 2 tsp or use the little cup provided and gargle for 15 seconds. They also recommend that there be no eating within 30 minutes before or after gargling. It tastes like mouthwash.

The leading ingredients are purified water, alcohol and......

To the Point

This is a true story. There have been times that we’ve been in transit and rather than stay in a campground just for a few hours overnight we’ve stayed in Wal-Mart parking lots. The last one was so noisy that at 4:30a.m. I went into Wal-Mart and bought Hearos Ear Plugs. Campgrounds are notorious for being near an airport or train station. It seemed we were in one airport in Playa del Rey. Both my husband and I used these.

A Closer View

I bought a package of 8 which is 4 pair. They are very soft and spongy feeling. These are a neutral color and made of foam. I paid about $2.50.

The concept is a simple one. If placed in my ear properly the sounds are not as strong. Putting them in my ear is simple. I just roll them making them thin. I then insert them as instructed on the package. What happens is that they expand in the ear.

They should be thrown away after several uses because dirt and wax accumulates in them.

They have a noise reduction rating of 32 decibels....
...

If you are having problems with nasal congestion and/or snoring caused by a cold or allergies or suffer from a deviated septum, this product could work quite well for you. However, if you are hoping that the Strips will stop your (or your partner's) general snoring, save your money. If you routinely snore, without suffering from congestion or a deviated septum, keeping your nasal passages open probably isn't going to make any difference.

Many athletes claim that using the Strips help them breathe easier during work-outs and play. ...
...
