Dramamine is a fast acting medication in a small pill that is easily swallowed. I am a person who suffers from motion sickness in or on anything that moves. Since I have been using dramamine, the nightmare of traveling has become bareable. All you have to do is take the pil 1 to 2 hours before you are in motion and the pill stops all that sickness! It's that simple to use and best of all, there is no drowsiness to take place with the use of this medicine which makes it even better. It is a wonder pill for people like myself who at one time could never enjoy a cruise, riding rides, or even traveling in a car due to the effects of motion sickness, but thanks to the makers of Dramamine that i a thing of the past and now traveling any route has been made possible for people all over the world who suffer with the unfortunate effcts of motion sickness. The very first time I used the Sea Band Morning & Travel Sickness Wristbands I was not only 6 months pregnant but also taking a cruise (don't ask!). Since any sort of medication was out of the questions the Sea Band Morning & Travel Sickness Wristbands were really my only option.

I didn't think that they would work, so "toughed out" my morning and sea sickness the first day. Upon arriving in Grand Cayman I literally wanted to sit down and kiss the earth that I was walking on.

The next day I thought, I bought them may as well try them. They did alleviate much of my nausea but I found that the longer I wore them the less they worked. I would occasionally have to add pressure to the pressure points to get me through the five star dinners on the cruise - not eating them all mind you but at least keeping my husband company.

Since then I have tried them again from time to time on simply stomach sickness, nausea and vomiting in an effort to avoid using medication. The Sea...

Sea Band Morning and Travel Sickness wristbands offer an alternative to medications. They provide pressure to two pressure points, approximately an inch below each wrist, and since they are not ingested internally, there is no chance for normal side effects (such as sedation, dry mouth) or drug interactions.

My girlfriend, who suffers from severe motion sickness on boats, find that they do not work for her. Her main complaint is pain at those pressure points, as the "one size fits all" wrist cuffs have a bead to push into the wrist, and the bead digs into the skin, leaving a welt. She finds herself readjusting the bands to find better comfort, giving up when nothing can be done and she still feels sick while wearing them.

Our recommendation would be to at least try them out to see if they work. If they don't, no harm is done. If they do, you're lucky! But as they are not medications, they shouldn't hurt you internally.

At about 30% less than the cost of brand name Dramamine, Driminate (manufactured by Major Pharmaceuticals) is just as effective. My girlfriend has tried both on different vacations, to help with motion sickness in planes and boats. While nothing helps her severe nausea in rocky waters (and by nothing, I mean nothing), she finds that Dramamine and its generic helps with her mild nausea on airplane and bus rides.

The main side effect she experiences is drowsiness, but to her, sometimes drowsiness is good. It helps knock her out so she doesn't feel sick (on rocky waters). Other side effects include dry mouth and possible added nausea (which always amuses me as all medications used for nausea might "cause" nausea) but my girlfriend experienced neither. The drowsiness lasts about several hours, enough to help her sleep the ride away, but doesn't cause her to be groggy afterward.

For the price, we recommend generic dimenhydrinate to combat mild nausea.

When I used the regular Dramamine it would help with me not getting sick but I would pass out. Good thing my husband always drives on our trips. So, I was glad when I found the Dramamine Less Drowsy! However, I still passed out. I was still so sleepy I could not hold my eyes open. It helped with the sickness, Ididn't get sick, but I sure did sleep. I prefer to use Bonine, it keeps you from getting sick and you can stay awake!! It is my favorite. I love to travel, we go to the beach a lot and love to go on hikes and visit waterfalls, but I always dreaded the trip to our destination. But with motion sickness medicines, I enjoy traveling even more. And it's even better with no sickness and being able to stay awake during the ride is a bonus with the Bonine. But if I can't get Bonine, then I will defiantly go with the Dramamine. Neither one of the chewable medicines taste good, but I'd rather have the bad taste than the sickness. I love to travel, but I almost always end up with motion sickness. I use to always use Dramamine but then my husband drove and I slept. It worked great, but it made me so sleepy. With Bonine, I don't have the sickness and I can stay awake!!! I've used Bonine on airplanes, boats and of course in cars. I couldn't travel without it! I love it. When I was younger I always got car sick, I wish I would have had Bonine back then. I love traveling, I want to see as much of the world as I can, but I used to dread the trip. Now I don't have to worry about it. I can take a Bonine and travel without any problems. I don't really like the taste of the chewable ones, but I can put up with a not so good taste much better than I can being sick. I think Bonine is a wonderful product and i am so glad one of my co-workers told me about it. If I can't get Bonine I will use Dramamine, but I prefer to use Bonine. Hope it works for you too!

I recently went on vacation to Catalina Island and you can only get there by boat, so I knew I was going to need to buy Dramamine. Since it would be the start of my vacation, I didn't want to get sleepy (which is what regular Dramamine does), so I opted for Dramamine Less Drowsy Tablets.

I was a little hesitant because they didn't say non-drowsy, they said "less drowsy". Regardless, I absolutely love them! They worked just like the regular formula, but didn't make me sleepy at all!

I took one tablet an hour before I was to board the boat and didn't get even the slightest bit nauseous or sleepy. They worked perfectly! The main ingredient in the Dramamine Less Drowsy Tablets is different from the regular Dramamine tablets, so I guess that why it works better. However, the value of the Less Drowsy Tablets is poor. The regular formula is over a dollar cheaper and includes four additional tablets. Regardless, the Dramamine Less Drowsy Tablets worked so well, they are worth...

My dad had two daughters instead of sons, so he decided to expose us to all of the manly things that he would have done with sons. We went to golf camp, football games, baseball games, and on many summer fishing trips. I always did well on the large party boats that go out around here, but I couldn't handle the smaller boats. The love of fishing was instilled, though, so when we planned our recent trip to Mexico we booked two fishing trips on a charter. I packed a couple of vials of Dramamine in addition to the sunscreen, bathing suits, and beach towels.

Dramamine is a "fast-acting motion sickness relief" with dimenhydrinate as the active ingredient. It prevents diziness, nausea, and vomiting. The directions state you should take it 1/2 to 1 hour prior to activity and the suggested dosage is 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours. I erred on the side of caution and took 2 tablets an hour before getting on the boat and took another one after 3 hours out on the water.

Okay so I was introduced to dramamine tablets about 2 years ago when I was paddling and I was getting some motion sickness from the boat and of course the ocean. It worked well I wasnt feeling nauseated and everything was normal. The is the regular dramamine not the less drowsy. But the thing is i needed about 4 of them. Then about 3 months ago I was reintroduced to them. But I learned that kids were using them to keep their high rolling. && I also learned that when taking a bunch of them it is a source for kids to get high. So be careful with the way you use them....

When on a cruise, I got very sick from the motion. The ship's store had sold out of the most popular motion sickness medicines. When we stopped at the first port, San Juan, my mom called her friend who she often cruises with and had mentioned how sick I was, and she suggested Bonine. I was able to find some in a store in San Juan. I used it for the rest of the cruise and did not get sick again. The taste is disgusting, but worth it.

While on a cruise, I got very sick from the motion. I went to the ship's store to get medicine, and all they had left were these bands and medicine that makes you drowsy. So I decided to try these. I have very small wrists, and they were painful to wear. Plus, they did not help at all. I got even more sick and spent a lot of time in bed until we got to port and I could buy something else.

These bands really made my nausea go away within the first 30 minutes of putting them on my wrists. I don't even realize I'm wearing them, unless I look at them. They are not very attractive, but on the other hand, nobody has noticed them. I recommend having two sets of bands. One for your dry time. And another pair when you take a shower or give your kids a bath....

I took this product on a cruise as my sister's recommendation and it saved me. This product is great because you don't have to take it before you get motion sick, you can take it once you are feeling sick and it still works. I had it in my travel bag and one night on the cruise began to feel the rocking of the boat and the motion sickness set in. Instead of ruining my night, I took one of these tiny pills, sat for a few minutes and I was all set for the rest of the evening. My brother in law takes it every time he's in the car with my father. It doesn't have the best taste but I'll say it's better than a pepto and since the pill is so small, the flavor goes away quickly. It's a great staple to have when travelling, just in case....

Used this for morning sickness and it did help. It is not a miracle bracelet but it did take the edge off. Used this for planes, trains and long travel as well as on a cruise. I would recommend this bracelet as it is all natural without taking any medication. Does not make you sleepy at all and can be used for long periods. Actually told everyone on the cruise that it was a new fashion statement!...

Although this is frequently recommended for morning sickness, it doens't work as well as I had hoped. It may work for slight morning sickness, but won't help the nausea if it is severe. Hyperemesis sufferers shouldn't even waste their time or money to try it. Plus, constant use can become uncomfortable at the pressure points....

I unfortunately get sick when I ride in just about any motorized vehicle unless I am driving or I have the windows open. This is not possible on a plane or a boat, so many times I will resort to taking Dramamine. The deciding factor is how long of a trip it is. If the trip is not longer that 4 hours it is not a great idea for me. It makes me sooooo drowsy that I have missed flights or left the plane without my baggage on connecting flights.

It is effective as a motion sickness pill, so I can't nock it.

Quick View: I had never been on a cruise in 1999 so I had no idea how my stomach would react. I bought these motion sickness bands figuring they couldn't hurt and they didn't. I never got sick at all even during a very severe storm that had that ship rocking and thrashing. But was it the bracelets? I have no idea but I will wear them again just for prevention's sake.

About Sea Bands

These stretchy grey bracelets have a plastic bump that should be positioned on the underside of the wrist. Apparently, this bump puts constant pressure of your "P6 pressure point" and keeps sickness at bay. I didn't care about any of that. I just didn't want to spend my whole cruise to the Bahamas in bed sick. Ironically several people I went with did. I never felt a bit of motion or sea sickness. I wore the bands the entire tine. The bump was pressing on my wrist all the time but it didn't hurt and I didn't notice it. I wasn't thrilled with the fashion statement the ugly grey band made but it was worth it if...

My youngest kid has always been what you'd call an easy kid. One of the few issues with him has been motion sickness. When he was little, he would toss his cookies within 10 miles or so. We live 12 miles for "town," so even a trip to the grocery meant a pit stop.

We were on the road a lot when the little guy was younger. I lived in Raleigh and made road trips back home and also to see the Virginia clan. Often, we'd arrive with a real mess. I remember one time when we were on a stretch of highway where we couldn't pull off. The little guy vomited all over himself and the car seat. His older brother said, "Good grief. Next time I'm taking the bus." He was only four years old. The baby with the stomach problems was 2 yrs.

Once the little guy got to 2 yrs, he could take Dramamine (per his doctor's OK). That really was a blessing. I can't begin to describe how awful it is to travel after someone has upchuked in the car.

I never really get motion sickness but I was experiencing some weird vertigo spells and had to ride for over six hours in the car. I thought it would be a smart idea to take something in case the vertigo and motion combined to make me feel sick.

I didn't want to get tired so I bought Dramamine Tablets Less Drowsy 8 Each. This is just a little plastic tube with eight yellow pills in it for your purse or glove box.

I didn't get sick but, if these are LESS DROWSY, what are the regular ones? I never fall asleep in the car but I was out like a light after taking one of these and I could barely shake off the effects.

What Dramamine is

These pills are nothing more than antihistamines. Each contain 25 mg of Meclizine Hydrochloride which, ironically, I have in a bottle at home. They were prescribed for me for the vertigo. This medication helps nausea and dizziness associated with motion, whether it is real or due to an imbalance of some sort.

I rarely take Meclizine so I didn't realize how these pills...
