— "It Works!!" I have had a cold for the last week and went to the store and purchased MucinexDM within a few hours my cough was gone and all mucus turned to clear. But the only problem i had with it was i was knocked out within 30 mins!! did not except this to happen... then i woke up late for work and did not hear my alarms or anything else for the matter.. so try if you like but dont make any plans to do anything for the next 12 hours.. plan on being drowsy for the next 24hrs after taking just one.....

I have been using Airborne faithfully for a couple of years now and I have seen an increase in my immunity system. I have found that if I start taking it at the first sign of feeling sick or as soon as someone that I work with starts showing signs of being sick I can avoid a lot of sickness. I am a special education teacher and for years was always getting whatever came down the pike. Since using Airborne and working on a healither lifestyle I do not get sick as often. I have recommended it Airborne to friends and family and so far it has worked for most of them as well. It doesn't always agree with everyone but for me I swear by it. Airborne also helps to give me pick me up of vitamins during times that I am really...

I have been using Mucinex for a few years now and have always had good results. In fact, a few times between the Mucinex and a Netipot I was able to avoid taking antibiotics. Before, whenever I got a cold or sinus problem it always turned into a respitory infection or worse. Mucinex definitely helps to relieve the congestion. It's not a cure all but it does help in an overall...

Who says one box of tissue is as good as another? While there may slight differences in softness and thickness, Puffs Plus with Vicks Vapor boutique style facial tissues are definitely different from the rest. And not in a good way. I tend to stock up on tissues, so there were several boxes of different brands of facial tissue in my storage closet. I grabbed a box without looking at it, opened it up, and began to wipe my nose. I was startled by the very familiar Vicks odor because I wasn't expecting it. I looked more closely at the box and noticed that Puffs added the classic Vicks menthol-alcohol-astringent-medicinal smelling ingredient to my tissues. I can see how someone who is very congested may find this to be a relief; but honestly, I found it to be just awful. My eyes started to burn and tear immediately and I hadn't even put the tissue near my eyes. — I do go through quite a lot of tissues because of my chronic...

No, do NOT put Vick's VapoRub in, or near, your nose! It contains camphor, a petroleum product that can be toxic if absorbed directly into the body. — — The proper ways to apply VapoRub are: — — _ On the chest or throat (to congestion relief), or — — _ On sore muscles (to increase circulation) — — See the warnings on the VapoRub pages at vicks.com—or just do a search for "vaporub" and "nostrils" and you'll see many references to this. — — VapoRub is okay if used safely. However, I prefer to use other products that don't contain petroleum. It's just not necessary. —...

I was very skeptical, because I've tried Alka Seltzer (for upset stomach) before, and it was so nasty I swore I'll never drink it again. I suffer from sinus and throat infections come and go as they please. When my throat started to itch and feel uncomfortable one of my co-workers gave me a package of Alka Seltzer Cold & Cough "Citrus flavor" and told me to drink it now, and go buy me some more and keep on drinking it. Even though I've heard it takes around 20 mins. to feel better, I didn't really feel better right away. I took another dose and the next morning I was feeling so much better, and by the second day of taking the Alka Seltzer every 4 hours I was in excellent condition. I usually like to let people know when something doesn't work, so they don't waste their time and money. I decided to take the time to write about it because THIS DOES...

I've been usuing the Zicam Cold Remedy Gel Swabs for several days now (I started them as soon as I thought I might have a slight sore throat!), and am now in the middle of a fullblown cold. The severity does not seem to be too affected by it, but I'm still hopeful that maybe it won't last as long. My husband seems to have had great success with the RapidMelts though -- he started his later in the symptoms than I did with the Gel Swabs and has barely even had a stuffy nose. I am also pregnant though, and I've heard that colds are worse and last longer when pregnant, so perhaps this is more my problem than the Gel Swabs not being effective.
Whenever I have a cold, I get really congested. In the middle of the night, I cough and it's hard to breathe out of my nose. I didn't want to keep using nose spray because after 3 days of nasal spray use, the nose spray will eat away at the cartalidge in your nose. I'd like to keep my nose so I use Vicks Vapor Rub. I put Vicks on my chest and under my nose. Not only does it stop my coughing, but it opens up my nasal passages which allows me to get to sleep. —...

Kroger's Daytime Cold/Flu medicine SAYS it's non drowsy. But, I took it one day when I had a cold so that I could get to work and be OK. Well, when I got to work, I started to feel really dizzy and had a sensation of being on drugs. I never took it again after that because I work around kids and I was more alert with nothing in my system than I was with Kroger's Daytime medicine.
Vicks Vaporub is a must have for all cold sufferers! It is very easy to use and opens airways for more comfortable breathing within seconds of being applied. It definatley lives up to its claims and certainly had me feeling better after using it. Sometimes when I am suffering from a cold it is very difficult to fall asleep when I am congested, and Vicks targets the congestion and gets you breathing easier for a more comfortable and sleep filled night. The only drawback with Vicks is the unpleasant medicine smell, if it could only come in cinnamon or lavender that would be a great improvement. Not so nice smell aside, Vicks is a great...
