njchicaa says "Benadryl: excellent relief but be prepared for a nap." about Benadryl Allergy Tablets

I'm allergic to pollen, dust, cats, dogs, certain dyes/fragrances, and probably other things that I don't even know about. I also leave my windows open whenever the weather is nice, forget to dust most of the time, and run a cat/dog rescue out of my home. Okay, so I don't always make the best choices. In any case, I need something to stop the itching, sneezing, congestion, and occasional rash when my system revolts and says "enough is enough". When I'm a horrible allergic mess, I turn to Benadryl Allergy Caplets. — The main ingredient in these neon-pink pills is diphenhydramine HCl which is an antihistamine. Histamines are those nasty little chemicals that create the allergic response in your body, so Benadryl blocks them and in turn alleviates symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, itchy throat, itchy eyes, etc. The directions state that adults and children 12 and older can take 1 to 2 tablets every 4-6 hours, but you should not take more than 6...

I have been suffering terribly from allergies for the last month or so and have been searching for a product that is long lasting, works well and doesn't cost much. I really didn't have much luck until I found Rite Aid Loratadine Antihistamine. I bought a box of 10 tablets for around $6.99, which I thought was a little pricey. After taking a closer look at the box, I saw that this product offered 24-hour allergy relief. If it could give me even close to that, then it was worth the price. — About Loratadine... — This prescription strength, non-drowsy antihistamine's active ingredient (Loratadine 10 mg) is comparable to Claritin. It relieves sneezing, runny nose, itchy, watery eyes and itchy throat or nose. One small tablet is advertised to relieve allergy symptoms for 24-hours. — How this product worked for me... — As soon as I wake up, I know whether my allergies are going to bother me that day. It starts with a lot...

Cetirizine Hydrochloride is the generic for Zyrtec. Cetirizine has the same ingredients as the brand name and works just same. — Zyrtec is very expensive, a 30 day supply can run almost $20.00. It has also become quite hard to find, and It is rarely on sale. — I just purchased a 150 day supply of the generic for $14.99 at BJ's Wholesale Club. That is a tremendous savings. — I have been using this product for about 5 years now. I used to pay a $30.00 per month co-pay through my insurance for it. To think I can now get a 5 month supply for half the cost of my co-pay is great. — This generic product works just as good as the name brand. — ...

Simply Saline nasal mist is awesome. I've had sinus problems for quite some time and have never found saline to be very effective, mostly because of the squeeze bottle applicator. The way the dispenser works on the Simply Saline nasal mist, delivers a fine controlled mist of saline. By holding down the trigger the spray lasts as long as you want it to. This spray is also preservative free. Allergy season was much easier to manage this...

With allergies in the air, I have tried everything from countertop to over the counter medicines. then came a Doctors advice, try claritin, to see if it helps with my allergies. this advice came from my family Doctor and not my allergist Doctor. You see when the pollen, dust and everything else is in the air, nothing stops my eyes from itching, nose, and pretty much my entire face swelling. then came the advice, try Claritin D, I tried it and ended up buying the reditabs, and boy did they work. on some days I have to take 2 but I feel none of the side affects that I had with the other allergy medicines. I will highly recommend this to everyone, it does work, I can now wear my contacts without wanting to tear my eyes...

Anyone who uses the NeilMed Sinus Rinse kit to irrigate nasal passages and alleviate sinus problems may find this product helpful. Once you've had your morning rinse, you end up with a drippy bottle that needs to be dried out before the next use. To that end, The NeilMed NasaDock was created as a solution to the problem of drying and storing the Sinus Rinse cap and bottle. NeilMed NasaDock — At less than $4, I figured it wouldn't hurt to give the dock a chance to prove it was worthwhile. The product comes in a variety of colors (sky blue, black, cream, green, maroon, peach, pink, white, and grey) although it's not attractive enough to matter. The NasaDock is described as a "simple, hygienic way to dry and store the Sinus Rinse bottle, cap, and tube" I will agree that it is simple to dry and store the bottle but I highly doubt that it is hygienic. — The NasaDock is supposed to keep the irrigation system from being contaminated, which is important...

LoveisJoy says "A New Approach to Traditional Sinus Relief" about NeilMed NasaFlo Neti Pot

The first time I'd ever heard of a Neti Pot was on an episode of Oprah. Dr. Oz showed the audience an item which resembled a miniature ceramic teapot. One of the audience members then gave a demonstration on how to use the neti pot. She tilted her head to one side, place the tip of the pot in her nostril, and the saline rinse came pouring out of the other nostril. I was fascinated because I could just imagine how much more gunk you could get out of your nasal passages than with a few squirts of a nasal spray. After that show, I got online to find out where to purchase the neti pot I had seen on Oprah. Instead of the ceramic pot that was featured on the show, I decided to purchase the NeilMed NasaFlo Neti Pot. — My Experience with NeilMed NasaFlo Neti Pot — The NasaFlo is a blue plastic pot that closely resembles the design of the traditional ceramic version. The main difference is that the NasaFlo has a lid that secures to...

After escaping illness all fall and winter, I now find myself with a whopper of a cold. The fact that I have asthma and it is prime pollen season only exacerbates the situation. I was feeling pretty poorly yesterday morning while at work, so I ran out to the local drug store to pick up something to relieve my congested, pounding head. I grabbed a box of Tylenol Sinus Congestion & Pain Non-Drowsy Rapid Release Gels. I took two as soon as I got back to work and eagerly awaited the rapid relief that the box promised. — A few hours later, my sinuses were still completely full and my headache remained. It was the first time that I had used a product with phenylephrine HCl, the new decongestant that has replaced pseudoephedrine in many over-the-counter medications. My coworker had warned me that she found it to be completely ineffective and I had to concur with her assessment. It seemed that Tylenol Sinus Congestion & Pain Non-Drowsy Rapid...

I was having problems getting rid of my cold because i also suffer from year round allergies. My doctor recommended that I use a Sinus Rinse. I found Niel Med Sinus Rinse at my local pharmacy. In the beginning it it was very strange to use it. There is something about putting water up your nose and having it come out your other nostril that was bothersome at first but after doing it for a while you get used to it. — It is a great product. It really does help relieve the congestion in you sinus area by cleaning them out. Since I started to use it I haven't gotten a sinus infection and my colds seem to go away a lot quicker.
