I have allergies every season of the year and Chlor Trimeton always works wonders in clearing up my symptoms. My runny, stuffy nose clears right up and my itchy eyes return to normal. I've tried a lot of over the counter allergy medicines and this one worked surprisingly well. Chlor Trimeton never made me drowsy, which was a definite bonus when I had to attend class or go to work. I would definitely recommend trying this brand out if other brands don't work or have unwanted side effects.

Claritin-D is a highly ranked allergy medicine. The 24-hour version actually lasts all day. With Claritin-D, runny nose, puffy eyes, sneezing, and other allergy symptoms seem to disappear or at least become bearable depending on the severity of your allergies. When I have a cough, everyone in the office knows about it. At night, I've even scared the kids, who were awakened wondering if i would be okay. Claritin-D hasn't directly helped my cough, but it clears up the post-nasal drip that builds up to the coughing.

One of the ways Claritin is so effective is that it dries out your sinuses. That helps relieve the nasal congestion and runny nose, but you can physically tell that you are dryer inside. Claritin-D will dry out your entire body. It's important to drink plenty (as in more than usual) of water to keep yourself hydrated, particularly if you exercise regularly.

There have been a couple of occasions I've experienced drowsiness, but in general Claritin is a non-drowsy medication....

I recently had an allergic reaction to something and the first thing I did was reach for the pink Benedryl box. Well, I am an adult and my reaction was quite bad so I took 2 pills. Four hours later my head was spinning AND my reaction had no change. I took one more pill. Again, I knocked out and when I woke up I was still swollen up. Four hours after the one pill I took 2 more, and guess what? Still no change. I gave up and the next day I went to the doctor and got Xyzal. Doesn't make me as drowsy and I can function, and not to mention the doctor gave me samples so I didn't even have to get an Rx. Will not be taking Benedryl next time I have a break out, I will just go to the Dr first thing and get the Rx.

To say the least I'm a busy mom of 2 young children and have lots on my to do list with practices, sporting events and school activities, I don't have time to get sick and be stuck in bed for even a day. But of course it happened and I ended up going to the doctor, of which he prescribed Claritin D. I thought, "what a waste" , he has prescribed nothing but an over the counter medicine and I have wasted my time and money on, but I went ahead and had it filled anyway since I had already taken the time to go to the doctor. To my surprise, after the first pill, my symptoms were diminishing to almost none. My stuffy nose was clear as a bell and my head had stopped throbbing. My allergies to the season were gone within one hour of my first dose. I only had to take the medicine once to feel better. Of course I still continued to take it for about 3 days to make sure all of my symptoms were completely gone. The best part of Clartin D is that it gives you a little bit of energy....

My husband had beed suffering from sinus pressure for many months, maybe even a year. He had even lost hi ability to smell and taste, in which we attributed this to the sinus pressure. He had tried, contact cold and flu, allergy medications, nasal sprays, and still his condition remained the same.

I work in a pharmacy, and in dealing with customers I had heard several of them make reference to the sinus rinse. and they all had the same review that the results were better than going to the doctor and being on antibiotic. I shared this information with my husband who,to say the least,was very reluctant, but after becoming tired of feeling this way decided to give it a try. The immediate results were ot amazing but he was better. In a couple of days he did the rinse again, and again there was improvement, so now I can recommend this product to sinus pressurers in the store as weel as to any friends that may need direction in this area.

I am allergic to Oak Trees, and grass pollen, and I am surrounded by both! My allergies are horrible. Itchy, watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, itching, the whole shabang! Well, with Claritin D, my eyes don't itch or water (which is good because I wear contacts!), I don't sneeze or itch either. I do have a runny nose, but I do not think that can be fully attributed to allergies. Overall Claritin D is a great way to treat seasonal, or everyday allergies. It is inexpensive, and it works fast, and it last all day. It's great. This over the counter allergy reliever makes my life a little more pleasant! Get over to the pharmacy!

Ok I never would have bought this because of the price, I would have been a fool. This stuff kicks some serious butt! And as for the price you have to decide if you prefer to spend fifteen bucks and be on road to recovery in twelve to eighteen hours

or save few bucks and be sick for week or more. Now if money is an issue I have bought the cvs generic version and it worked as good! I am a diabetic so I cannot afford to let a cold/flu settle in deeply. Well this stuff did wonderful job!!and it didnt make me drowsy!!!

this Mucinex D is worth EVERY single penny and more,ajd so0 is CVS Generic version if you want help but save a dollar or so.. But with way Doctors offices chrarge and the hasslels of being a walk in nd sitting in lobby with other sick people, I would sure try this soon as first sing shows up.

One more consideration on cost, I have used 40-50 dollars worth of daytime syrup, night time syrup, pills and took week to kick it and with this 14 dollars I was done and bouncing...

I have allergy problems all during the year and I tried this product earlier this year and it is great.Instead of waiting an hour for the medicine to work the quick acting release caplets work in about thirty minutes.The headache and body aches are gone and you can get back to work quickly.

I battle sinus problems constantly (colds, post nasal drip, infections, allergies)! After several visits with my Allergist, she gave me a NeilMed kit to try. She explained how it worked and although I was skeptical and not happy about the process, it worked wonders!

I would never have believed an over the counter product could reduce my sinus problems so significantly. It is not something I would have given a second look if I had been in drug store, but since my doctor gave it to me, I was willing. I raved about the improvements to my sinuses so much that my husband decided to give it a try as well. We are both avid users now!

Definately a good value. The little refill packets come in a variety of differently sized boxes. We buy in bulk since we are both users. Since starting this product I have stopped using nearly all other over the counter cold/allergy/decongestant products.

In the past I used to go to a doctor for sinus pain and he has prescribed antibiotics to kill the bacteria in the sinuses and also accompanied it with pain killers. It used to take me more than a week for the sinus troubles to go away. Lately I have tried spraying salt water in my nose and inhale steam to dilute the mucus buildup. But none of it is as effective as the Advil Cold and Sinus. Today I was having severe pain for most of the morning and while watching TV the ad for Advil Cold and Sinus came. The ad mentioned that the blockage is caused usually not due to mucus but swelling of the inner linings and Advil treats the swelling. My wife went to the drug store and got it for me and after taking it (one pill), within half an hour for the first time in my life my pain is gone and everything feels normal. I am going to take it again only when the pain becomes a little unbearable with the hope that I do not get addicted to in. Kudos to Advil for bringing the Cold and Sinus pill to market....

Claritin is quite effective at relieving allergy symptoms. I don't know what I'd do without it. I have had allergies all my life and if i did not use this product i would be soooo miserable. i would have itchy, runny nose and eyes and a constant sore throat. i have tried to wean myself off claritin a few different times in my life and never last more than 2 days because my allergy symptoms become soooo annying. claritin used to be available by prescription only, i believe, but now it is available over the counter, thank goodness. this is so much more convenient. i don't have to see a doctor on a regular basis just to be able to treat my allergy symptoms. clairitin can be sort of expensive but it is well worth the money you will spend on it if you have severe allergy symptoms like i do. i would pay even more for it if i had to. i can't live without it. i would recommend claritin to anyone who has allergies.

My wife & I both suffer from seasonal allergies and have found this to be a great medication to keep in our medicine cabinet at all times. When you have those times that you have more than just drainage, and need a little more than the regular Mucinex, you really should try Mucinex D. Mucinex D stops your runny/stuffy nose, sneezing, and all those other annoying allergy/sinus related things that happen. We feel that Mucinex D works better than many of the other allergy/sinus medications that we have tried. A lot of the other medications can make you very sleeply, but I haven't noticed the Mucinex D having that affect on me. I can take Mucinex D and still do whatever it is I need to get done, without falling asleep trying to do it. Depending on where you shop, it can be a little expensive, but watch for those sale, like we do, and stock up when you find one. Take Mucinex D and beath again.

I have seasonal allergies and could never find anything that actually worked..something that I could feel working. A co-worker gave me 2 Advil cold and sinus one day and wow! Within about 30 minutes I could breathe. I have never felt any side effects. I do agree with another viewer, it can be a little addicting. I found myself taking them if I had a little sniffle. I would suggest taking them if you are really congested. My son has severe allergies and I had yet to find something that works for him. I finally had him try these one day before school and he came home to tell me that he could breathe and it really worked for him. I also had my parents try some of mine when they weren't feeling good and they went out and bought their own after that. It just really clears you up and leaves you feeling better. You don't feel drowsy or sleepy like a lot of other products. I would definitely recommend this product.

I recently had a chest cold and decided that I didn’t want the thing to get too out of hand. So I grabbed a box of Mucinex from my local drug store. I must admit that at first, I was a little confused as to which kind to get. There are three main products: one is just for chest congestion. Taking it will help you to have more prod. coughs Then there is another one that helps with congestion in the head as well. And I believe a third kind helps to actually suppress coughs. I chose the first one, as all I really wanted to do was break up the mucus in my chest. I took the pills as instructed. You are not supposed to take more than a two within a certain period of time. At first, I thought that the drug was working. The package indicated that the effects lasted for 12 hours. However, by the time I was ready for my third dosage, I didn’t really feel that the pills were working anymore. The drug cost around $8.00. So, for that amount of money in a store pharmacy, I expected better results....

I have tried many over-the-counter medicines for coughing and trouble breating.Two years ago my mother-in-law had me try Mucinex when nothing else was working. I took it as directed for the first day and by the next morning i could feel the difference. My lungs started to break up and my cough was productive as what a cough is suppose to do. After the second day my breathing was not as labored and my sinus passageways were clearing out. I thought to myself this stuff actully works. I have been taking Claritin 24 hour pills for years, ever since I was little and before they were over-the-counter. Claritin takes my allergies away well enough, controlling my sneezing, runny nose, and watering eyes especially during the spring and autumn when my allergies are worst, and it's true that it doesn't make me drowsy. I've tried other allergy pills like Zyrtec and Benadryl, and while some do work a bit better than Claritin, I can't deal with the drowsiness other pills cause since I take my allergy pill along with my vitamin every morning before I leave to go to school. Claritin pills are really small and easy to swallow, and they aren't that expensive. They are widely available at all of the stand-alone and grocery store pharmacies I've been to to look for them. I've never noticed any side effects with Claritin, and all in all, it's a satisfactory choice for allergy relief without annoying drowsiness.

Recently I got to try out Children's Zyertec Allergy Perfect Measure. This is an allergy medication meant for kids over the age of 6. It comes in pre-measured spoons. The medicine is actually in the handle of the spoon and in order to give it to the child you twist off of the twist off lid on each spoon and then it is pre-measured and ready to give to the child.

This is is great for people who are in a hurry and need to give their kids allergy medicine on the run, there is no measuring everything is right there and ready to administor. This is also very portable which is great for a mom like me. I can pop one in my purse and I know I will be ready should my son need it. You never know when a child is going to be affected by allergies so it is nice to be ready at any time just in case.

I'm an allergy sufferer year round.So I'm use to my sinus's being congested,but this fall I also got the flu.MY chest was so congested it hurt when i breathed in.I needed relief in a bad way.I have high blood pressure,so I could not take your average cold medicine for my congestion.my doctor recommended I take Mucinex over the counter for my sinus and chest congestion.He said this was the perfect medicine for me to take because it would not raise my blood pressure the way most cold medicines do.So quite naturally I took my doctors advice and started taking Mucinex expectorant right away.The very same day I could feel the difference.I was able to breath without pain,but to my surprise it also cleared up my head.I was expecting the medicine to make me drowsy,but it did not.Something else it did not do was make my blood pressure go up.I have to admit I was skeptical about taking an over the counter medicine,but Mucinex expectorant really does what it says it will do.

I am an allergy suffere especially in the spring season when all the pollen comes to light, I tried other prescription medicines but I didnt like the side effects. I always felt groggy when I awoke in the morning so I searched for other options. Then I found this wonderful over the counter medicine called Benadryl Allergy. I liked the fact that it didnt require daily administration like those prescription ones did so I liked the idea of taking the Benadryl only when I needed to.I tried Benadryl and within 30 minutes or so my nosed stopped itching and my eyes quit watering. I also get this phlem thing in my throat at night which also comes from being outside doing yard work which I love. There were times when I could no longer go outside when the pollen count was high and coulndt plant my flowers and so forth. I also had trouble sleeping at night .Benadryl Allergy gave me back my life and allowed me to do the things I love. I sleep better at night also.
