rmartin136 says "Taste as good as the real Slim Fast Shake" about Equate (Walmart) Ultra Weight Loss Shake - Creamy Milk Chocolate

I have drank the chocolate Slim fast drinks for and then when Walmart started carrying these I decided to try them. They are really good. They taste just as good as the name brand ones and are alot cheaper. I always buy this brand verses the name brand now. It is a very thick, creamy drink. It has lots of flavor and is very filling. I can drink one of these shakes and not be hungry for several hours. I always have them in the cabinet, or fridge, and at school just in case I get hungry or have a chocolate craving. It is great for taking care of all kinds of needs. Hunger and chocolate cravings. I think there is about 9 in my kitchen right now and I will continue to buy them. I do enjoy these drinks. They are a great source of vitamins and nutrients as well. I tend to skip some meals and I don't eat much protein/meat at all, so this is a great way to get some of my needed vitamins. If I don't get them in a drink like this wonderful tasting one then I don't usually get them.
...

Jo says "Where's all the protein in Healthy Meal Nutritional Shake? " about Herbalife Shakes

I am doing a 12-week weight loss program sponsored by Herbalife. When I enrolled I didn't know that they were sponsoring it. I have bought quite a few of their products. The first one I bought was the Healthy Meal Nutritional Shake Mix. It is for "healthy nutrition and weight management".

The flavor I chose is french vanilla, which is delicious. I add soy or almond mix to two scoops and ice cubes and have a yummy snack. The program suggests that we have one or two shakes a day. I normally have one and stick to the amount of calories per day I should eat.

I paid about $35.00 for a 26.5 ounce canister. This makes 30 servings per container.

It has 19 essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients; however, you will get these in a multi-vitamin. For example, you'll get 35% of Vitamin A when you add milk and 50% of Vitamin D, which you will get if you go outside for 15 minutes a day. Yes I am skeptical because I haven't seen results and I think it is over priced.

The "wellness coaches" say that...
...

iamaslacker says "this product should get the boot!" about Dtox Patch Detoxing Foot Patch

Dtox Patch Detoxing Foot Patch sounded too good to be true when I first reads or heard about it. I should have gone with my gut reaction. I found this product to do little more than make my feet feel sticky and itchy. I paid almost $8.00 for the product (it probably would have been cheaper at Walmart, but I purchased mine at Walgreen's. The instructions were easy enough to follow; the product just didn't seem to have the "power" it claimed to have to pull any type of toxins from my body. After keeping it on for the prescribed time, there was little dirt or toxins on the patch itself. In truth, I get more dirt on a washcloth than I did on this foot patch. (and trust me, I am certain that my body is not at all toxin free, so the patches certainly should have pulled something from my body) I have never used such a product before, and would probably hesitate to even try a different brand. This product should get the boot!
...

I love Isagenix so much! I am not the kind of person who is usually thinks a product is amazing, but this is something I will use for the rest of my life. WHen I use Isagenix I feel so vibrant and alive, my skin glows, I don't have the same cravings for sugar and starches, and I just feel energetic! I also have never seen myself shrink as quickly as when I use the 9day cleanse by Isagenix. I lost inches very quickly off my hips and waist. It was so nice to get into my new clothes very quickly. I hear a lot of people complain about the cost, but if you factor in that you are replacing two meals a day on their weight loss program, it is very inexpensive. I also feel motivated to actually workout because I feel in control of myself and my appetite. The extra energy makes me want to push myself and workout hard. I have had my mom try this and she also lost weight and felt better. Try it!
...

sueti says "Don't waste your money" about Sensa Weight Loss System

I researched this product before ordering and it sounded like it just might work. The user is supplied with 2 containers 1 labled salty and 1 labled sweet. Thenuser is instructed to liberally sprinkle the white powder on all eaten food. The scent of the powder which actually has no taste is supposed to deter the user from overeating by signalling the brain. I used exactly as directed and thought I may have been eating less the first three or four days on the program. At the end of two weeks, no weight loss. In defense of the product it is clearly stated that the user must be patient and give it time to let the product work. I was not willing to invest any more time or oney in this product as I think two weeks is a fair enough trial. In addition I have two other firends who have tried the product and neither were impressed. One froiend used the product for six weeks exactly as directed and lost a total of 3 pounds. The other gave up after four days.
...

akjane says "Puts you on the right track" about Slimquick Cleanse

I have done the slimquick cleanse twice. I had great results the first time, felt great, lost 5 pounds in a week and many inches. The second time I lost not quite as much .. but I might have strayed a little from the diet a little. I feel like the diet you are given is the true strength of the cleanse. A friend of mine did the same diet, but did not take the pills. She got about the same results. So in the future, I think I might just buck up and do the diet again. It is a great jump-start to your weight loss and especially good if you are looking to slim down in a week for something special, like a trip or event. The diet wasn't too hard to follow and wasn't that expenive either. It did take a litle more time than usual to prepare, but nothing more than usual when I am following a meal plan. And most of the menus were easy to modify for the rest of my family too. You should buy a bag of lemons from costco, though, you use a lot!
...

muwhobbit says "Dtox patch doesn't live up to its claims" about Dtox Patch Detoxing Foot Patch

I got some Dtox foot patches as a gift. I wish my friend hadn't spent the money on them! They're hyped as some cleansing product that will give you more energy and improve sore joints. It's total rubbish. I'm a skeptic, but I figured I'd give them a go. I put a set on my feet before I went to sleep. When I woke up, there was clearly some nasty stuff on the patch, but I didn't feel any different, except my feet felt pruny from having the patches on them all night.

It turns out I'd also accidentally left another patch on the counter in the bathroom overnight, and it had the same greenish color as the worn patches! I can only guess that the moisture in the air from my husband's morning shower reacted with something in the patch. I'm calling this a hoax - if any old moisture will turn the patch green, and I don't feel any better after having worn these things, I'm pretty sure it's just a cheap color-changing trick to make you think you're getting something for your money. I won't be spending...
...

I tried this tea when it first came out because it was "as seem on Oprah" but I must say at $60 a bag....it was a huge waste of money. I bought two bags off a WuLong website claiming to be the best. The tea has a great taste and if you're not a coffee drinker it'll wake you up. But most of the time the caffine in it made my stomach hurt and oh yeah....weight loss....not a chance! I drank the tea for months (maybe even a year+) and it did not help with weight loss at all. I was very disappointed need less to say. The website gave SO much positive information about the product but it just didn't hold up. The stomach pains from drinking it caused me to not be able to drink it every day. If you are interested in trying it, the prices are better at a specialty tea store. It's more then 50% savings and I'm sure you will get the same amount as I did. If you decide to try it don't get your hopes up. Just enjoy the flavor!
...

TunefulGal says "Sometimes, the best medicine is POP CORN!" about Various brands including Redenbacher Pop Corn

Would you like your fiber in a liquid remedy? Or would you rather have some freshly-popped popcorn?

My six-star favorite would be the salty, buttered popcorn Dad kettle-cooked for Mom and me when we watched I Love Lucy in the fifties. Oh, the aroma floating down the stairs to the familyroom. . . Another six-star would be the dishpan full of cooled but crisp "corn" that awaited me in Grandma's sewing room when I visited. We knew nothing from real butter and salt in those days, and it was heaven!

Now, I'm appreciative of the health benefits -- no trans fat, low salt, zero cholesterol, plenty of fiber, and whole grain goodness. Popcorn if not "abused" fits the bill for all but children under four (a choking danger according to the American Academy of Pediatrics) and for those folks whose large intestine disdains the roughage popcorn represents.

# # # # #

My current favorite? A quick-and-easy, of course -- Orville Redenbacher's 94% Fat-free SmartPop! Kettle Korn. I've just placed...
...

Joining Curves really helped me meet new people in a new town. Five years ago I moved from a major urban area to a very small quiet town. In the city I never had a problem meeting new people. I wasn't sure exactly how to get in step with new friends at the quieter new pace of life. The workout is great, and it is only a thiry minute routine. Go in, have fun, get back out and into your life. And best of all, meet great people.

As a diabetic I have health concerns. The folks at Curves are very supportive, positive, and accomadating to the needs of individuals. I never felt like an outsider despite being not only overweight but new in town.

A couple of years ago my husabnd and I took a car trip across the USA, I stopped in at Curves in Montana, South Dakota, Indiana, North Carolina. I always felt welcomed. And it was kind of neat being able to keep my workout routine while on the road.

TheBard says "The Taste of This Bar is a Lot Better!!" about EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Nutrition Bar, Chocolate Peanut Butter

Bottom-Line: If you are watching your carbohydrate intake and want a viable breakfast or lunch alternative, the AdvantEdge Chocolate Peanut Butter protein bar may do the trick for you.

I have decided to start going the gym in the morning and work out for an hour before going to work. But then there is the problem of what to do for breakfast. Eating before I work out will only leave me feeling too full to work out effectively, and you really shouldn't work out for at least 30 minutes after you eat. So I have to eat breakfast after I workout, beating back the hunger pangs that dog my every step first thing in the morning. I don't want to wait to eat until I get to work; the commute is 45 minutes, and I don't want to eat sandwiches every morning (easy to prepare), and I do not want to stop by McDonalds or Burger King for breakfast every morning. It kind of defeats the whole working out thing.

So what to do? Thankfully for me, and my diet, I purchased another flavor of bars,...
...

Bottom-Line: Based on the taste of the AdvantEdge Cookies & Cream I am very reluctant to try any other flavor outside of Chocolate Peanut Butter, but I know I will eventually.

I have battled with my weight-most of the time losing the various and sorted battles-all of my life, but I intend to win the war. There was a period when I got down to about 210 and I was feeling no pain, but that didn't last long and over the intervening years I have put on more then I ever wanted. So here I am 47 years old and ready to start a new campaign.

So what to do? Actually, a fellow weight watcher had a solution right at hand, in the form of EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Nutrition Bar, Cookies & Cream; well almost. The AdvantEdge Cookies & Cream meal replacement bar is a low carbohydrate high protein snack bar design for those of us who want to limit our carbohydrate intake and hike protein ingestion.

I have found this really interesting site, The Truth About Abs, that discusses why alot of things that we do or eat doesn't really help us lose wait or get into the shape that we would like. It is by Mike Geary - a certified Nutrition specialist, and serifed personal trainer (CPT). He has separate areas for men and women to go to to find out what they need to do or know. There is a lot of information that is interesting. He even gives a map of the people that have used his system, its kind of neat. I would suggest that you check it out.

lvoskan says "Since using my DirectLife monitor I am losing weight!" about Philips DirectLife

Oh my gosh! Words cannot describe how much I truly love my Philips DirectLife activity monitor. Ever since it came in the mail I have been in heaven. The last five pounds of my baby weight are long gone and I am losing even more weight.

You can wear the activity monitor on your wrist, as a necklace, or in your bra. It is a small square device that weighs very little. I choose to wear my DirectLife on the necklace or in my bra. If I stick it in my bra you can't even tell I am wearing it.

Each night I upload my data and the program tells me how many calories I burned during the day through movement. I LOVE THIS! You also set goals and your progress to reaching the goals is measured. Since it is very web-capable (I use my mac without problems) you may wonder how you check on your progress without the computer. Easy! Just lay your monitor down on a hard surface and the lights will blink to show your progress. When you get to 100% (there is a dot that says 100%) the monitor...
...

tbell9209 says "Holy cow...get ready!" about Beach Body P90X Program

Well - what a program. I highly recommend it! If you're ready to get your butt kicked you need this program. I loved the changing workouts. However, these workouts will drain you - but that being said, they do work. What I mean by draining you is that you can "crash" after working out. You need to maintain your hydration and protien while using this program. I did this program for 5 weeks (I did not complete it) but I did see results. The thing that most made it hard for me to complete was the amount of time it took to do it. Most workouts were 1 hour long (1 was an hour and a half) in addition to the workout, three days a week you would do a half an hour ab workout as well. I think if you have the time and can really stick with it you will see results. It does make you feel good to complete the very challenging workouts. The price does seem steep, but I think the over all result is worth it.
...

sunninjim says "Let's you figure out your points count and keep it in check" about Weight Watchers Points Calculator

I love my Weight Watchers Points Calculator! I can figure out how much weight I want to lose by using the formula and then I love to be able to keep track on a daily basis! As a compliment to this I also have the points keychain to keep track of how many points I'm actually eating and when to stop for the day! I love this points calculator because it allows me to calculate how many points are in ANY given food! Keeping track is VERY important to me! I use this on a daily basis and keep it in my purse AT ALL TIMES!!! I truly would be lost w/out my points calculator by Weight Watchers. This is one of the SMARTEST things that Weight Watchers has EVER come out with, aside from several foods and snacks that I have fallen in love with! Great when I'm on the go too. I even can use this when in a restaurant to figure out what I can and can't eat, how many points are in any given dish, etc. Best of all it's very easy to use and the screen is just the right size.
...

fizzala says "Great addition to your diet or health program" about Taylor Biggest Loser Body Fat scale

The Biggest loser Body fat scale is great...It's attractive and accurate. It gives your weight to within .2 lb, plus it measures body fat, muscle, water, BMI then it also computes how many calories you need to maintain that weight.

It has spots for 8 different people, you put in your info, such as age, height and then when you want to weigh yourself you just go to your place on the scale step on and and it gives you all that information. I love the muscle/fat measurements especially since when are dieting you are usually trying to lose fat and not muscle. This scale will tell you if you are on target or not.
