I have been taking Rainbow light womens once daily vitamins for two years now. I love the fact that it is all natural no garbage in them that I do not need. I also like that there is all of the vitamins and mminerals that are needed to work together and the fact that there are green foods in them. They are also easy on the stomach; if I do not eat right away it does not make me quesy....

I have tried various herbal supplementals for calming nerves and promoting sleep, and I found that this valerian-only product did not work as well for me as other valerian-based products that contained passion flower and perhaps also skullcap. I don't mind the smell so much, if the product works well. In my case, I prefer products that contain more passion flower and/or lemon balm...both of which work far better than valerian for me....

I have an aloe vera plant in the kitchen for stovetop burn emergencies, but when I'm on a beach holiday, I don't always have an aloe vera plant nearby. This gel is great for relieving sunburn, especially for the first few days after sun overexposure (which is not too healthy...), and keeps the skin from drying, itching, and peeling. It's good for cracked skin, too, in the wintertime, far less expensive than urea creams and lotions....

About 25 years ago I was tested for several years to rule out the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. I then started taking Evening Primrose Oil which I read might be helpful in lessening the loss of the myelin in the brain. Put simply the myelin is crucial in making the brain work correctly. In any case it seems that I didn't have MS; however, I never stopped taking Evening Primrose Oil.

I have used a variety of brands. For a long time I've been loyal to Wild Harvest's Cold Pressed and Hexane free Oil. (Hexane is "A hydrocarbon volatile liquid found in glue or gasoline." teens.drugabuse.gov/utilities/glossary.asp)

I buy Evening Primrose Oil in 1300 mg bottles. It's considered a dietary supplement or herb according to http://nccam.nih.gov/health/eveningprimrose/.

To the Point

It is my belief that it is fairly impossible to make an absolute claim that supplements work unless I were to be cloned. Having said that I will give you my experience. It is up to you to talk with your doctor to make sure that H2OM is alright for you to take especially if you have medical conditions or take other medications.

A Closer View

In January of this year we went on a cruise. I have had two frozen shoulders; thought I might need surgery and spent months in physical therapy and over a year babying each shoulder.

I tried Medicine Hunter Calming Sleep as I have problems getting to sleep. The first night I took it, I noticed no difference, and am aware that sometimes it takes time for herbs to take effect. The next few nights I took it, and noticed that each morning when I got up, my lower back hurt so bad I could hardly move; the pain also went around to the front around my ovary area. I stopped taking it, not knowing whether this was a coincidence or not, and 2 days later the back and kidney pain went away. I looked up the ingredients, and Epimedium is one of them. After researching, I found that this is actually Horny Goat Weed, used mainly for male sex libido. When taken with other ingredients (I don't know which ones), it is supposed to increase the function of the kidneys. I'm only guessing that this is why my lower back was in such terrible pain. Why put this ingredient in a sleeping solution? I threw the bottle away; I would not recommend this to anyone-I have actually found......

Excellent product. Working night shift I often found it difficult to sleep during the day. I would take the Valerian Root because it would help me sleep without being overly sedated. The only drawback to this product is it has a somewhat offensive smell....

Valerian works for me to calm my nerves and help me sleep. I can't take it during the day too much because it will make me too relaxed and sleepy. You should know that it stinks bad BUT just hurry and drop it in your mouth and swallow. It does NOT cause you to stink like garlic does. It will make your hands stink and perhaps your breath right after so wash your hands and brush your teeth! Listen, if it works and it does, it worth it!! I take it as needed and only one pill not three like is suggested on the label but you may need more. Bottom line is that it works better than other things I have tried and like many of you I have spent hundreds if not more in vitamin and herbal supplements to combat stress, anxiety, melancholy and joint/muscle pain. I am still looking for the best thing for joint/muscle pain. My shoulder burns HOT after just wiping down the counters - ANY IDEAS ANYONE!?!?!...

This herbal supplement is often used for relaxation and sleep. The effectiveness is questionable but the main problem is an offensive odor which was so strong the entire cabinette where the closed bottle was stored wreaked of the product. Once the herb was swallowed there was no adverse odor or taste but it was difficult to get down due to the foul smell.

I have not tried any other brand of Valerian root but would be leary of this potential problem.

I use to use Remifemin all the time- on the up side it does work However Its way to pricey now and most of the time the store is out of stock .

I also switched to the drugstore brand of these I found them disappearing off the shelves to the point that I could not find them. So I went searching for something else .

What I found is a Great alternative to Remifemin in Standardized Black Cohosh gel caps from puritans pride # 3605. This is special because this kind of herb must be standardized in order to get the benefit from it. I have some issues with joint stiffness related to lupus. Basically I have some swelling. It clears but hurts when it's flaring up. It could be much worse, so I'm not complaining.

I read that aloe ingested could help with joint pains. I use aloe for skin, so I like aloe. I wasn't familiar with aloe in liquid form, but I looked around and found Aloe Gel by Herbal Authority.

Aloe Gel comes in a semi-clear plastic bottle like sodas and such. The size I buy is 32 oz. Since it only takes a little per day, that does last a long time. The directions say to take 2 ounces 1 to 3 times per day. I just mix a TBS in some juice or Gatorade once per day when I have joint aches.

I really can tell a difference when I use Aloe Gel.I think it gets in my system and acts like a lubricant. My joints ease up quick when using this.

As far as the taste, I must say that Aloe Juice is kind of thick and gloppy. That's why I mix mine. I can drink it straight up, but yuck.
