pfri says "Try-Change are my favorite glasses!" about Try Change Try Change eyewear

I love my Try-Change glasses! I invested in 2 sets of lenses (reg and sunglasses) and 8 frames. I enjoy having the variety of frames. They range from business professional to FUN, and I switch them out frequently.

My wife bought a set also, with 4 frames. Now, we argue about who gets to wear them when we go out together, as we don't want to look like we coordinated our eyewear.

I strongly disagree with the previous reviewer on quality. Our frames have held up remarkably well. We have had them for 2 years, and they regularly suffer abuse from our 2 year old daughter - who likes to grab them off of our faces. Between our 12 pairs of frames, we have never had any warping or breaking issues.

I did lose one of the bridges (nose pc) once, but that was my fault - and I was able to quickly and easily order a replacement pc.

Try-Change is a bit expensive - but well worth it for the quality, flexibility and fun.

sugarbuns says "Try Change eyewear looked good initially...." about Try Change Try Change eyewear

I was immediately attracted to the concept of accessorizing my eyewear. I purchased my tri-focal Transition lenses along with the Try Change frames approximately 30 months ago to the tune of $600+. At first, it was too cool to be able to swap out the wishbones, or ear pieces, to coordinate with my attire. I bought 3 sets of withbones and relatives gave me additional wishbones as gifts bring the total investment in this product to $750+.

I started losing the nose pieces at month 3 and have lost them all now. The wishbones are still pretty cool, but the nosepiece/bridge for the plastic frames has broken once and been replaced 2 more times due to warping. I'm waiting for another replacement bridge now.

I don't work in a foundry, or blow glass, or expose myself to heat extremes but this warping is a hassle, and for $750 who needs the hassle and the eyestrain during mid-warp?

DON'T buy these frames from your eyewear professional! They are trying to inflate their bottom line...
...

Coppelia says "These made me like wearing glasses!" about Prodesign 1154

These glasses (Prodesign Denmark model number 1154) are so good-looking. I get compliments on them all the time. Usually I wear contacts, but I feel like really I am being more fashionable when I wear these glasses. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear. The lenses are a little small, but so are most fashionable specs. They have a little bit of "geek chic" to them, I think. Plus they are in my favorite color! I am so happy I went with this style - I picked them out as a graduation present! Some more details: they are made from stainless steel, and have acrylic (or some sort of plastic) on the ear part. The main body is a burgundy color, and the acrylic is purple, blue, and yellow. The most interesting part is the temple area, where there is a sort of cut-out before the part that leads back to your ear. That part is a little wide, but in no way does it obstruct your vision. These certainly weren't inexpensive, but they are worth it in terms of quality.
...

I have been wearing glasses since I was in Kindergarden so I can say I have been through quiet a few pairs. These glasses are the nicest I have ever had. They are light and fit well to my head. They don't pinch behind the ears.

I work with students who grab and throw my glasses several times a day and they take the beating well. I wasn't sure how I would feel about them since they don't have hinges. But I LOVE them. I use to always take my glasses off in pictures and now I think I only did it for my staff picture because the flash would have caused my lenses to transition. That is saying a lot!

I would say the only down fall is that you need to remember to put them in the special case at least every other night so they will hold there shape. But that is a small price to pay to have comfort and discreatness. Since they don't have frames around the lenses they blend in to your face well.

There are a lot of colors to choose from. I got purple, my favorite. They are easy...
...

You know how it goes ...

First come the fancy new eyeglasses, closely followed by the fancy electronic eyeglass cleaner from The Sharper Image, a masterpiece of cutting-edge technology which works like a charm but takes up too much space in the bathroom. For me, all this was followed by a fancy trip to California last year. During the course of my packing, I bought a package of Bausch & Lomb Sight Saver Pre-Moistened Lens Cleaning Tissues to take along and they have been working so well for me, I've just kept using them ever since.

Each tissue has been soaked in anti-fog, anti-static solution, then sealed into its own small plastic pouch. This product is extremely convenient to carry (I'm never without a couple in my pocket) and the Bausch & Lomb name is one that I trust when it comes to eye care. At about six cents a tissue, these are worth the cost ... especially since they work so well that I'm able to clean both lenses (and side arms which fit over the ears) with only...
...
