Being a contact lens wearer can be a pain in the butt when traveling. I can't stand having to pack my full-size bottle of contact lens solution, so when I saw Bausch & Lomb ReNu MultiPlus Multi-Purpose Solution Home & Travel Pack, I had to have it. As someone who is still recovering from a chemical burn suffered from this product (2 days ago), I will never buy it again, even if it's on sale (like it was when I bought it).

The 6 hour neutralization time is a big obstacle to me, especially as I often need to have a little sleep in the middle of the day and take my contacts out for a couple of hours. I've been trying to make do and keep the neutralized solution around in the mornings instead of discarding it and using *it* to do any rinsing or short-term storage.

But of course, being disabled and on medication that makes me groggy and not as sharp as usual, the inevitable happened and I forgot to use the leftover solution and used fresh solution instead.

I went through the treatment recommended by poison control (15 minutes of eye rinsing) but my eye is still hurting and recovering even 2 days after the fact. :(

As such, I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone who :

I bought this product when I was having issues with my contacts. It is awesome. You put your contacts in an upright case that encloses each lens but has holes so all sides of the contacts are disinfected. You have to let them set for at least 6 hours and if you bump the case and it falls over, you have to wait another 6 hours because the solution is reactivated. Trust me I learned the hard way that it HURTS if you put them in your eyes before the time is up - your eye will burn and you will have to remove your contact and deal with bright red eye. It's definately pricy,but well worth it if you truly want your lenses clean. I still buy store brand saline solution to use to rinse them off and if I have dry eyes, but its cheap to buy the store brand, so I find using both works well.

I was recommended this Clear Care Contact Solution when I was having trouble with my contact lenses being extremely uncomfortable and it definitely helped.

However, a caution to read instructions and follow the red box instructions on this product. I did not (how I missed it I'm not sure, because its pretty obvious and they make it very clear) and tried using this cleaner like regular contact solution, so after washing my lenses in it I put them directly into my eye. It burned pretty bad and hurt like the devil. That's when I saw that you're not supposed to put it in your eye until you wash it with other fluids first, and you're only supposed to use it with the lens case it comes with. Just a caution so this doesn't happen to others.

Once I got past that mistake, I found this solution did make a difference. What's more, my husband now uses it regularly and will never go back to his old kind. It's easy to use and seems to make the contact lenses a lot more comfortable to wear. ...

Genteal Lubricant Eye Gel is very good to use on my dry eyes. I get dry eyes frequently from using my contact lenses, and sometimes overuse, so I would simply place a couple drops of Genteal Lubricant Eye Gel into my eyes, and voila!!! MY dry eyes are gone.

This product can be found almost everywhere, from mass retailers such as Kmart, Target, or Walmart, and pharmacy stores, such as CVS, Walgreens, or Rite-Aid.

The bottle is easy to use and easy to squeeze drops out. Usually, some bottles are very hard to squeeze, especially when you'ore holding it right on top of your eye.

The directions on the carton/bottle are very direct, and I would deinfately recommend this product, Genteal Lubricant Eye Gel, to anyone who sufferes from dry eyes, as they do offer a very huge dry eye relief. Horray for no more dry, itchy, scratcy eyes thanks to Genteal Lubricant Eye Gel! I'm so happy that this product existed, and it rocks!

I have worn glasses ever since the 5th grade and for years wished there was a solution to my vision problem. Of course my mother was always afraid to put something in my eyes, until my doctor recommended Acuvue. At this time Oasis was not available, but Acuvue was by far the best of its kind. Then I began to have problems with itchy and watery eyes, constant headaches, and just an overall uncomfortable experience with my contacts. I switched to Acuvue Oasis and have never looked back.

They are extremely comfortable, easy to care for, and have a long wear time. The best part is they do not dry out throughout the day. Often I would feel as though my contacts would get stiff as I was wearing them, and these do no such thing. I have been more than happy with my Acuvue Oasis contacts now for years and don't intend on switching. They are by far the best contact lenses that I have tried and I would recommend them to anyone.

After undergoing Lasic eye surgery I developed severe dry eyes, a new problem for me. My doctor recommended Refresh and offered me a sample to try following my surgery. It provided immediate relief and I have been using it ever since. The formula is thicker than competitors and long lasting. Upon application I found it cool and soothing after just a couple drops. The best part is that it causes only about half a second of blurriness after applying, allowing clear vision instantaneously. I have not experienced any stinging or burning while using Refresh. The fact that it takes only a small drop or two because it is so effective, means that I use less so that one bottle is lasting for several months. I have urged family and friends who experience dry eyes due to various reasons including allergies to give Refresh a try and no one has been dissappointed. I will use Refresh for life. Welcome to the wonderfull world of optical sales. The micro fiber cloth is supposed to help you take care of your glasses. I'm not saying that it doesn't work but there are a few things you want to know about.

First: No matter what you always clean your glasses wet. It's best to let them drip so the dust particles will fall off.

Second: If you use a micro fiber cloth, when you wash them, do not use fabric softener. It will smudge your glasses.

Third: Do not use any harsh abrasive cleaners like Windex on your glasses. Windex has ammonia and you do not want that on your glasses.Now you might ask "Why does this guy talk like he knows what he's talking about?" Well, because I do. I'm an 11 year veteran in the field of optics. It's what I do for a living. Micro fiber cloths can make your life alittle easier, but in the end all they really are is a marketing stratagist's way of trying to sell you something.

All you really need if you can't find anyting else is a cotton cloth and water.

Recently purchased the Bausch and Lomb ReNu Multiplus Lubricating and Rewetting drops. The rewetting drops have been a real life saver. The 0.27 fluid oz. conveniently fits into your purse so that you never have to be caught with dry eyes again! There have been many occassions while sitting at work that my eyes have been so dry that they felt like there was paper plates in them. I was so glad to be able to reach into my purse and grab my bottle of Baush and Lomb Multiplus Rewetting Drops to rescue me from such discomfort. The drops are a little thicker than just plain saline solution, which helps to keep my eyes moist for a longer period of time. I find the price to be reasonable, and have no trouble finding it in any pharmacy or grocery store. I would definitelty recommend this product to all contact wearers out there. It is convenient, effective and well worth your money. Best of all, it keeps me from having dry eyes.

I recently purchased Equate sterile multi purpose saline solution- no rub version. I am very pleased with both the quality of this saline solution as well as the price. The bottle is sturdy enough to carry in my purse, and comes in a size that is convenient to carry with me in the event of the every dreaded contact lens emergency. In the past I bought the high priced name brands of saline solution and have seen no difference between them and the Equate brand of sterile multipurpose saline solution. I have never had a problem with storing my contact lenses in this solution. They are always clean and fresh when I go to put them in and they help eliminate any protein that has built up on them. I would definitely recommend this Equate Sterile multip purpose saline solution to those who are on a budget but want quality products. It is well worth the money and is sold at your local Wal Mart.

Clear Care is the only contact lens solution that does not irritate my eyes. I have been wearing contacts for approximately 25 years and as I got older, I noticed that my eyes were drying out rapidly and that I needed new contacts more often. My eyes itched and were generally irritated on a daily basis. I do not leave my contacts in and remove them nightly. I wanted a solution that would be easy so I began using a multipurpose cleaner and disinfectant all together. It took me quite some time to correlate that this new one-step method was the reason for my eye irritation. I first blamed it on prescription medications and then on fatique and then any other blame I could think of. I'm not sure if someone suggested Clear Care or I just exhausted my options, but I love the way it cleans my contacts every night with a chemical cleansing that removes protein. One complication involved with the use of For Eyes Optical Eyeglass Lens Cleaner is that (unless you shell out for the expensive premoistened wipes) the application of this spray product requires the use of a cloth. It was for just such a purpose that a lot of people have invested much thought and effort in the research and development of micro-fiber material - fabric which is woven from fibers which are less than one denier (a measure of linear density) per filament. The woods are full of perfectly good micro-fiber cloths tailored to a whole bouquet of uses but there are probably few which equal For Eyes Optical Micro Fiber Zig Zag Cloth for velvety softness, loft, and absorbency. At $3.99, this is not a cheap item but with a modicum of care, it will last for quite a while and go right on getting its job done ... which is to wipe and polish eyeglass lens (and other delicate surfaces as well).

A few months ago, I reviewed a product called Flents Wipe 'n Clear Premoistened Lens Wipes which at that time were doing a terrific job of cleaning eyeglasses and other things as well. Flents worked well because the formula they were saturated with was composed of three elements: soap, water, and alcohol which caused any residue of the solution to evaporate quickly and without streaking. I thought I would use Flents forever and then ... I assume as an economy measure ... the company that manufactures them started leaving out the alcohol. In case you were wondering if it is a good idea to try to clean glasses with just soap and water, you need contemplate no longer ... such a combination doesn't work at all or not very well. So it was time to switch products again. It was at this point that I recalled the little bottle of For Eyes Optical Eyeglass Lens Cleaner which I had purchased the last time I bought eyeglasses. I have used two different ForEyes locations in my area and experienced the same thing in both locations. The products that they sell, including eyeglasses, frames, sunglasses, etc., are great and made in great quality but all of the customer service I experienced through the staff did not really make my trip worth it and I probably will not be going back.

The optometrist that I saw at both locations seemed pretty knowledgeable and was willing and happy to answer any questions I had. I did feel a little rushed in and out of the office, though. I have had orders lost, messed up, calls not returned, unfriendly staff, and so on.

I do not mind a long wait, but I purposely schedule my appointments on "off" times so I do not have to wait. At one appointment, the girl sat there and ate her sandwich and I had to ask her twice to get my contacts for me. I was just picking up an order! Not even there to see the dr. I don't think I will go back.

I've had problems in the past with contacts due to dryness and the hassle of always taking them out when I sleep. With Acuvue Oasys soft contact lenses I've had more comfort then ever. The dryness is gone. I can wear them longer. I can even sleep in them and not have to take them out every night. I just put in drops when I wake up and I'm good for the day. It's an ideal product for someone who is always on the go and has no energy to do anything but go to bed in the evening. At an affordable price you can't beat them, especially when you use up a new box less often. Every eye visit changes for me and so does the strength of the lenses. I have heard that double vision can occur if the lens or lenses are not fitted right but that has not happened so far and I'm really nearsighted so my prescription is pretty high. I used to buy the generic contact solution formula until my eyes turned red. I found out that I was alleric to preservatives in the solution so I was told to try Clear Care. I haven't used any other brands of solution since. Clear Care cleans your contacts better than any other solution.

The only drawbacks to this solution is that is takes so long to clean your lenses and the case must be kept upright. (I don't know how many times I've knocked over the case by mistake!) The price is higher than other solutions so I try to buy it when on sale.

ReNu MultiPlus Multi-Purpose Solution no rub formula is absolutely wonderful! I have very sensitive eyes, and this solution does not even say for sensitive eyes but works great. It is easy to use and never hurts my eyes. I have tried other solutions that the eye doctor usually recommends or gives out as samples, but they just do not feel as smooth and comfortable as the ReNu solution. Other solutions just do not give you that "ahhhh..." feeling when you use them. ReNu solution feels natural to the eye. It makes it easier to put in contact lenses because you can hardly feel them when using the solution. I usually soak my contacts in solution overnight when I am sleeping. When I go to put my contacts back on in the morning, I put just a drop or two of the ReNu solution on each contact lens before putting them in my eyes. This is what also helps give that extra burst of freshness and comfort. I would recommend the ReNu solution to anyone wearing contacts.
