Susie-34668 says "Dr. Scholl's Corn/Callus Remover works to get rid of it" about Dr. Scholl's Corn/Callus Remover

I bought Dr. Scholl's Liquid Corn/Callus Remover months ago when I had a problem with a corn, and it worked great.

Unfortunately one was starting again so I sought out the product.

This corn/callus remover is more like a kit. When I got it, it was sealed and had a bottle of liquid and a strip with 3 cushions with holes in the middle of them.

I looked at the front of the packing and it had a diagram of the top of the foot, showing the toes, and the screw top of the bottle with a dropper on it. It showed a drop of the liquid on one of the toes. I then turned the packaging over so that I could read the directions.

It is so easy to apply. All you do is use the dropper, that already has the liquid in it, and allow one drop to go on the corn. Once dry, apply a cushion over it. This will protect it.
I use this product twice a day to get rid of the corn, but it can be used once or twice daily.

Dr Scholl's also say that you can soak you foot for 5 minutes in warm water, and this could...
...

got blister on calf of leg, after 3 days it was very painful and looked like dead flesh, went to plant EMT he said, i should go to fam. DR. or emer. room.

Susie-34668 says "Dr. Scholl's For Her Ball of Foot Cushions scrunch up" about Dr. Scholl's For Her Ball of Foot Cushions

Dr. Scholl's For Her Ball of Foot Cushions got me excited because my right foot was giving me a lot of pain.

It states on the packaging the "immediate massaging gel comfort for the ball of your foot. Because feel the burn wasn't meant to describe the ball of your foot."

I immediately tried them in my slippers. I placed them as directed. When I slid my foot in, and the gel cushion scrunched up. I had to hold it down to get my foot in.

Next I put it in my shoes, and again it moved instead of staying in place.

When I finally had the gel cushion in the correct place, it did help to stop the burn on the ball of my foot, and also helped the pain in my toes.

I have been using these now for around a month, and still get frustrated when they don't stay in place, and roll up, when I put my foot in my shoe.

As Dr. Scholl's has a guarantee that if you are not completely satisfied with the product to mail back the receipt and the UPC code, I think I just might do this. After all I purchased...
...

Susie-34668 says "Dr. Scholl's For Her Corn Cushions stay in place" about Dr Scholl's For Her Corn Cushions

Dr.Scholl's For Her Corn Cushions come in a pretty pink box. There are 6 corn cushions in the box. Remove the box from the outer packaging, and then lift at the front of the box to open.

The cushions are on backing paper, and come three to a sheet.

After washing your foot, lift up one of the paper tabs on the sheet, and the corn cushion will come off too. Apply it over the corn, press it down, and then just lift off the paper. The corn cushion is the same color as flesh so it hardly notices on your toes.

The nice thing is that it is completely smooth so you don't have a problem when wearing panty hose or knee highs. It stays in place and is waterproof.

It stays on my toe and won't move. It doesn't tell you how long to wear it, so I normally take it off after 3 days and apply a new one. The easiest way is for me to go swimming and then it pretty much rolls off of my toe, with a little effort on my part. I still swim the other days and don't touch it, and it stays put.

I use...
...

gaelforce says "Suffer No More From Muscle Aches." about Monostary Greetings Hudbalsam/Skin Balsam.

I don't know about the rest of you but by the end of July I am getting Christmas Catalogues from everywhere. As it gets closer to Christmas it seems the amount doubles. I really feel bad for my postman.

I usually just throw them away but last year I recieved one from Monostary Greetings. I sells a lot of religious items but the Hudbalsam/Skin Balsam caught my eye. As well as guaranteeing it would be effective, it promised a pleasant scent. There are many excellent products for tired and aching muscles but some of them don't smell very good.(Let's not mention any names.)

When the Hudbalsam/Skin Balsam arrived I had strained my neck. Before I even looked at the label, I slowly massaged it into my neck. The best way I can describe it is the feeling you get when you come home with cold hands and you hold them over the fireplace to get them warm. Slowly you feel the welcoming heat warm your hands through and through, That's the way Hudbalsam/Skin Balsam feels on your aching joints and missiles....
...

Although not a very well known First Aid kit requirement...Activated Charcoal Capsules are a MUST for all Home and vehicle First Aid kits. The department of Homeland Security Website lists activated Charcoal as an item for your first aid kit. I use the Puritan pride Activated Charcoal capsules. I find them very reliable and cheaper in price than most other brands...especially online during their buy 1 get 2 free days. Activated Charcoal is a natural substance with many uses. The number one use is for food poisoning. The Charcoal absorbs and removes toxins from the gastrointestinal track. It also works great for diarrhea, vomitting and gas. Like some people, I have a love for ice cream, pizza, etc..but have found they do not like me. After consumption of any of these foods the diarrhea will begin. I have had much sucess with activated charcoal when taking before I eat these foods or shortly thereafter. These capsules are a family staple used for combatting various virus's that are picked...
...

Yvonja says "Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil is an amazing, natural antiseptic!" about Desert Essence 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil

Desert Essence 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil is useful in so many ways. I add it to my shampoo and conditioner to help calm my itchy scalp. Sure, I could just buy shampoo with tea tree oil already in it. But since I sometimes color my hair, I like to use shampoos that keep the color fresh. That's why this tea tree oil is so great. I can add it to anything I want. It's very effective added to my shampoo.

I recently added it to my facial cleanser to help with my acne/skin irritation. Again, I could use a cleanser with the tea trea oil already in it. I actually did use Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil Face Wash for a while. But it proved to be to strong for my sensitive skin and began to irritate it. So, being able to regulate how much tea tree oil that is going into my facial wash allows me to experience its benefits without it being too harsh for my skin.

Also, it's great to use morning and night for clearing up that dreaded affliction - nail fungus!!! Ewwww!
...

Yvonja says "Heals more effectively than anything else I've ever used!" about Weleda Wound-Care Ointment

Have you ever had cuts or scrapes that just won't heal? Maybe a pimple that just won't go away? Well, let me tell you - I've had some kind of skin irritation on my face since December '08' that somewhat resembles acne. I had it tested at the doctors. It came up negative for staff but another doctor thought it was still staff. He prescribed a very strong and very expensive antibiotic. I hate taking antibiotics! I was already taking one for it that another doctor prescribed and that was ineffective. This new one was way too expensive because my insurance wouldn't cover it. So I said, "No way!". I decided to try using a couple other over-the-counter ointments/remedies. They seemed to help some. But I would flare up as soon as it started to go away. Then I remembered I had this Weleda product for cuts, abrasions and slow healing wounds. It's called Weleda Wound Care Ointment. I was thrilled when the rash, irritation, whatever started going away!!! I use it regularly now, whenever...
...

Yvonja says "Heal unsightly bruises naturally & more quickly!" about Weleda Arnica Ointment

Weleda Arnica Ointment has been a godsend to me. I started bruising frequently a couple years ago due to several medications I've had to take. My legs especially would always have a number of small and large unsightly bruises. I learned that Arnica Ointment was an effective treatment for healing bruises faster than they normally heal otherwise. I've tried a couple different brands over a period of time. They seemed to all work fairly well. But I started using another Weleda product and liked it so much that I decided to check to see what other kinds of products they produced. I found Weleda makes Arnica Ointment and I was able to get it at a much cheaper price than the other brands I tried from my local natural food store. I find it to be at least as effective as the other brands I'd tried. Another Weleda product came very highly recommended by my massage therapist. Now I also highly recommend Weleda products. Whether you bruise easily or not, Weleda Arnica Ointment is a great...
...

EquineRVT says "Even my mother's doctor uses this stuff" about Arniflora Arnica Gel

I absolutely love Arniflora Arnica Gel. In my area Arniflora is the only brand I can find easily, but I would think any Arnica Gel would be the same. Any time anyone in the house has aches or pains I recommend they use the Arnica. I like that it is not a synthesized drug, rather it is homeopathic. My youngest son plays baseball and is a pitcher. He uses the arnica on his arm for relief of pain. I have arthritis in my hands and knees from years of abuse by horses and the Arnica seems to give me a great deal of relief. I like that the Arnilora brand comes in a gel. I think that it also comes in a cream, but I find that the gel is more soothing and rubs in faster and more thoroughly. When we were in the hospital a few years ago with my mom, her doctor said that he, too, uses the Arnica for aches and pains. You can also find Arnica Montana in pill form that I supplement the Arniflora gel with. Once after being kicked by a feisty little gelding I had a bruise on my thigh about eight inches across....
...

Katrena says "Equate Triple Antibiotic Ointment--my panacea for cuts/scraps" about Equate Triple Antibiotic Ointment

If a kiss and a hug can't fix a boo-boo at my house, I will usually pull out the Equate triple antibiotic ointment. This is similar to name brand antibiotic ointments, such as Neosporin, but at a fraction of the cost and is one of the most helpful items in my first aid kit.

This triple antibiotic ointment contains:

bacitracin

neomycin sulfate

polymyxin B sulfate

How to Use this product:

Clean the affected area.

Apply enough ointment to cover the broken skin.

Cover with a bandage if preferred.

Avoid use of this product if you are allergic to any of the active or inactive ingredients.

It is recommended to check with a physician before using this product if you have a deep puncture wound, animal bite, or serious burn.

What I like about Equate Triple Antibiotic Ointment:

It can heal minor cuts and scraps in a short period of time. (If it is not healed within a week, I would recommend contacting a doctor. I usually don't have to apply this ointment for more than two to three days.)...

...

Scaraway has really been a miracle product for me. I am diabetic and struggle with healing my wounds. Becauase they often take longer to heal, I have gotten alot of scars that I thought were permanent. I friend recommended that I try Scar Away silicone sheets (more like 3" thin patches) to help manage my scars. I am truly amazed at how my old scars have smoothed out and faded, and even more impressive is that I am using them right after my wounds heal and they are healing with barely any noticeable scar. I use multiple patches, which stick nicely on my skin, especially on my legs. I am on older woman and have been living with this condition for years. I am very pleased to say, that by spring, I may actually be able to wear shorts again! Hats off to ScarAway!...

Brigit True Organics is a small, natural body care company out of Virginia, ran by a woman named Brigita. I had the pleasure of working with her a lot while I was an employee at Whole Foods Market. Brigit True Organics products are between 82-99% organic and always all natural.

Brigit True Organics says: "We call it Magic because it brings instant, nourishing comfort to distressed skin.

A 3M product, the ever popular Duct Tape/Duck Tape is so much more than tape. The vinyl, fabric reinforced sticky stuff we have grown to be dependent on comes in over 30 colors including a camouflage variety. News says that a see through version is soon to hit the markets.

The versatility of this tape became ever so evident when my second son got a frantic phone call from a High School friend attending another school. Her date had backed out of taking her to prom [taking place that evening] and she was asking my son to take her. He calls me to see if it is even doable. I assured him it was [although I had no idea how we were going to pull it off] trying to imagine what this poor girl must be feeling.

I called the local florist and explained the situation and begged them to make a nice corsage. I then called a neighbor who had a son in choir knowing he had his own tux. The jacket and shirt should be about right. My son had church dress shoes but the problem came in what......

bostonbeth says "Worked great on my c-section scar. Easy and comfortable. " about Mitchell Vance Laboratories ScarAway

I used ScarAway silicone gel scar patches on my c-section scar which was a few months old. I noticed a difference in just a few days on the itchiness of the scar wich went away. I used 2 sheets side by side to cover my scar. They are self adhesive and stay on really good without having to used any tape or anything. They have a soft outer coating (kindof like really silky nylon) -alot more comfortable than I thought they would be. Since it is so thin I forgot I was even wearing it most of the time. After a few weeks the scar was alot softer and the bumps on it started to go away (My doctor said I was developing a keloid scar). After about 8 weeks it was flattened almost all the way and the redness was faded ALOT! I am so happy with this product (Scaraway) , I just had to tell people about it. I did not know there was something that actually worked to get rid of scars like this. I am almost done with the recommended course of treatment so I'll update in about 4 weeks. I......

Meri says "Can't go the Distance!" about Triton Consumer Products Skeeter Stik

I have been eaten by mosquitoes this summer. The bites swell, are hot to the touch and itch for days. They make me miserable and so I have tried many over the counter remedies including the Triton product, Skeeter Stik.

The active ingredient in the Skeeter Stik is Benzocaine. It is the same ingredient used in products such as Anbesol, Lanacane and Orajel. Benzocaine works by numbing the nerve endings so that the pain message can not be transmitted to the brain. That would be great if the effect would last. The problem is that in 30 minutes the itching and pain are back to its full strength and you want to tear your skin off again.

Some people suffer nasty side effects from Benzocaine use so check with your doctor if you experience anything out of the ordinary when using this product.

Easy to Use:

Skeeter Stik comes in a long, thin plastic tube with a twist cap that when opened reveals an applicator that is easy to use. It holds .47 fl. oz and lasts a long time.
MrSafety says "3M The Name in Tape!" about 3M Nexcare Gentle Paper Tape

I have spent over 30 years helping people, from my advanced life saving training in college in the late 70's to my EMT certification and American Red-cross Instructor Certifications. I know a little about First Aid tape. What can I say about 3M, the name is synonymous with Tape, masking, duct or First Aid, when I need tape there is only one name I trust and that is 3M! 3M Nexcare Gentle Paper Tape is in both my Home First Aid kit and my Professional First Aid Kit, I don't leave home without it. When you absolutely need it to stick and stay stuck, then look to 3M Nexcare Gentle Paper Tape!

I hope this helps!

Mr. Safety

...

JovialCougar says "Hissss. Rattle Rattle. Hissssssssss." about Coghlan's Snake Bite Kit

''There's a snake on the trail!'' ''What kind?'' ''He's big and mean!'' Those are the words I heard on a recent hike. We had seen all the signs warning about snakes, but I didn't give it much thought until we actually encountered one. Although the snake we saw was a non-poisonous bull snake, it startled me, and got me thinking about what I would do if I were bitten by a venomous snake.

Although bites from venomous snakes are relatively rare, and death from snakebites is extremely rare, who wants to be one of the few unlucky ones to succumb to a snake bite? With that in mind I decided to pick-up Coghlan's Snake Bite Kit, which is a basic first aid kit for poisonous snake bites. For just $5 it seemed like a good insurance policy.

Coghlan's Snake Bite Kit is contained in a lightweight 3" long rubber cylinder that opens in the middle. Each interior end of the cylinders can be used as a suction cup (more on that later). The kit also contains a constrictor to slow blood flow through a limb,...
...

ericagibson2007 says "Not only does it heal, but it also takes the pain away." about Equate Triple Antibiotic Ointment

Even though this is the generic brand of neosporin, it works just the same. I love this stuff. I put it on, with or without a band-aid, on my fingertips (where I bite my nails to the skin...OUCH) and it heals so fast. It even seems to take away the pain after only a few minutes....
