This past July my husband and I brought our kids on vacation to The Great Smoky Mountains, in Tennessee. I knew we would be hiking and venturing into places that could be potentially dangerous. I wanted to be prepared for those unexpected things so I purchased the Johnson & Johnson All-Purpose First Aid Kit. With 170 items in all, you will be well prepared.

For around $10, the first aid kit comes in a heavy duty, plastic carrying case and it includes 170 things. Here is what it includes:

Band-Aids (various sizes and shapes)

Cleaning Wipes

2 packages of Neosporin

Red Cross brand Instant Burn Cooling Patch

1 package of Cortaid

Band-Aid butterfly closures

Gauze pads

Oval eye patch

First aid tape (no scissors required)

2 packages Tylenol extra strength

4 packages Motrin IB

2 packages Imodium A-D

Light stick

Emergency contact magnet

Instant cold pack

Survival wrap

Finger Splint

2 Health care gloves

Wide, plastic tweezers

First aid guide

Everything comes nicely packaged and easy to find. I like...
...

GigiandAdonai says "A first aid kit for only a dollar!" about Assured 42-Piece First Aid Kit

In August I joined a new church and they are very missions oriented. One of the projects they do every year is Operation Christmas Child (OCC). The church members buy supplies, toys, hygiene products, etc. and package them in shoe boxes. We then wrap the boxes and send them to Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC. Samaritan's Purse then sends them to missionaries on foreign fields.

I decided to "adopt" four children and pack the boxes myself. We are given a list of suggested items that can go in the box. They also recommend you go to Dollar Tree, Dollar General, etc. where you can buy a lot of hygiene products in bulk at a very cheap price. So my sister and I headed to Dollar Tree to pick up some items. For anyone who has packaged hygiene kits for hurricane victims you know what we're looking for: combs, toothbrush/paste, soap, washcloths, deodorant, etc. I picked up all that and then some. Then I spotted the Assured 42-Piece First Aid Kit.

The kit is a nice sturdy white...
...

SpokaneMan says "A Great All-Purpose Johnson & Johnson first aid kit." about Johnson & Johnson All-Purpose First Aid Kit

Having a good first aid kit is really the basis to keeping your family safe in case of something happening.. If you are into self-preparation, then the best way to go is to make one that suits the needs of your family perfectly. If however, you are looking to save time, or just want something that can be handy anywhere there is one option that I think stands out from the rest. Johnson & Johnson produces a first aid kit that is designed to be used for an entire family, and contains over 95 essential items that could be put to use at a moments notice. In an ideal world or situation, we wouldn't need one of these, but when it comes to everyday situations that we do have, these are often necessary in a time of minor crisis. I know that when I was growing up my mom always kept one handy, and now that I am older I see the importance of keeping one, as much as I should have back them. This particular kit, is one that we purchase in the offices where I work, and it fills out a lot of the needs......
