JovialCougar says "Ace provides quick knee support for minimal cost" about Ace Knee Brace with Side Stabilizers

From time to time I get a dull pain in my knee due to an injury that occurred a number of years ago. It's not a big deal, but I have found that wearing a knee brace offers some support which helps alleviate pain. In my experience the Ace Knee Brace with Side Stabilizers is a good product o help with minor knee pain. — Ace is a well-known brand for braces, supports, and bandages. In my experience most of their products are high-quality items, and this knee brace is no exception. The Ace Knee Brace with Side Stabilizers is about 8" long and made of flexible, breathable materials. It has an opening for the knee cap which allows for easier movement. — This knee brace fits snugly around the knee but should not be too tight. There are two ridges on either side of the brace which help stabilize the knee and also are designed to stimulate the knee ligaments. In my experience the knee brace does provide some comfort and support when I have minor knee pain and...

Telpher says "The future of booboo care - Gel Bandages" about Band-Aid Advanced Healing Gel Strips

My partner is a medical professional. As such, our hone first aid kit is ridiculously well stocked. A few days ago, when I got a nasty steam burn, I did what I was supposed to do: run cold water over the wound for ten minutes, make sure the burn was clean and free of bacteria, yadda yadda. I was left with a pretty nasty and painful burn, and I knew the thing to do was cover it, to keep air from irritating it. When I looked for regular, old bandages, I was frustrated by the fancy stuff in our first aid kit. Lots of gauze and triangular bandages and other stuff, but no run-of-the-mill Band Aids. The closest thing I found was a box of Band-Aid brand Advanced Healing Gel Strips. —

Remember the Band-Aids your mom put on your cuts when you were a kid? Full of little air holes, they often got ripped up, and full of dirt, and the minue you washed your hands or took a shower, you'd have to change them, because the water soaked in and stayed in and invited all sorts of bacteria to...

SpokaneMan says "Band-Aid Clear Adhesives--- Hiding those cuts and scrapes " about Band-Aid Clear Adhesive Bandages

A necessity for nearly every office or home, is to have a ready supply of bandages available for those cuts or scrapes that are sure to come along eventually. It doesn't matter how careful you are, if you work in an office setting, you are going to get a paper cut every now and then. For me, this is something that happens more than I would like to admit, but I am glad that my work actually provides first aid for when it occurs. They have a nice first aid cabinet where there are a bunch of choices to go with, but I like going with the Band-Aid Clear Adhesive Bandages more often than anything else. What they do is allow you to generally hide the cuts that you have, by providing you with a clear adhesive that isn't as visible as your normal bandages. That doesn't mean that you cannot see them, but you have to be looking pretty closely to do so. So, as long as I am moving constantly, the bandages aren't seen from any type of distance. Don't get me wrong, nobody would really care if I had...

Buggheart says "More of a fashion statement than serious wound care." about Accoutrements Pirate Adhesive Bandages

OK so if y'all read my last review of the BIC Comfort 3 razor you know that 1. I'm a klutz; and 2. I practically sliced my leg off while shaving in the shower this morning. And now you're going to find out that I'm a 5 year old stuck in the body of a 38 year old woman. — Why? — Because when I asked my husband to bring me to BandAids from the medicine box in the linen closet he brought me actual skin colored Band Aid brand. I sent him back and asked for my Jolly Roger bandages. Knowing that I'm a total freak and that it's better to not ask questions, he left me there bleeding in the shower, pivoted out of the bathroom and came back with the black tin of pirate bandages. — Yep, I'm a humongous kid. — I got my pack of 25 black bandages with skulls and crossbones on them at Urban Outfitters for about $5. Each bandage is 3 x 3/4 inch just like regular Band Aid brand only they're vinyl and way cuter. This was a deep cut but not anything...

ladym33 says "When the cut is on the larger side" about Band-Aid Large Adhesive Pads

Band-Aid Large Adhesive Pads — — Band-Aid Large Adhesive Pads are pads that have the outer band-aid type backing on the on the outside and soft white, almost cotton like pad on the inside. The do not stick to the skin they are basically meant to be placed directly over a wound that is going to be wrapped up with more bandaging. This is to protect the wound, and keep the wrapping from sticking to it. It also helps to seal in any ointment that you may have placed on the wound and helps to keep any germs from getting on to the wound, yet like most Band-Aid products it is slightly flexible and breathable. The padding also helps to keep what every ointment you are using moist enough that it continues to work, it does not rub it off, or fully absorb it. This is a good thing. — — The entire patch is a little over 2 inches wide and 4 inches high. Or you could do that the other way around depending on which way you are holding the bandage. — — The...

PattyTherre says "These things wouldn't stick in a Superglue factory!" about Curad Bandage Dispenser With 5 Bandages

Quick View — The Curad Bandage Dispenser With 5 Bandages is awful. They don't stick AT ALL. Pass these by. — Full View — When my husband came home from work with a hole clear through his jeans and leg, my first thought was to take him to the doctor's. But he's a macho, macho man and told me to just help him clean it and slap a bandage on it. — I grabbed my first aid kit and pulled out a gauze pad and a Curad Bandage Dispenser With 5 Bandages. These came in an emergency prepackaged kit and I am not sure the five bandage dispenser is sold separately any longer. It's a good thing. These things just do NOT stick! — The Bandages — This little dispenser is obviously for emergencies or travel. I suppose it would be best in a car glove box rather than a home first aid kid but I never even realized it was in there. — The kit is just a yellow cardboard sheath that you pull the bandages out of. Each is individually wrapped. The bandages are "flesh...
