chelseygato says "PLENTY FOR DAILY USE" about CLAIRE'S CLAIRE'S EAR CARE ANTISEPTIC

CLAIRE'S EAR CARE ANTISEPTIC was given when my eight year old daughter Aimee had her ears pierced in August. My daughter Stacy had her ears pierced at a different store in the same mall when she was three years younger than this daughter is now and every thing went wrong. The bottle I was given lasted a little over a week and I was told to use rubbing alcohol or peroxide.

Not so this time at Claire's. The form had over 12 places where I had to hear something and then sign my name or initials. This huge fuschia and white bottle is about 4 times the size of what I had over a decade ago with my first daughter. We use it three times a day and she is still wearing the same earrings over two months later. With fuschia on the bottle and it's size, it was easier to remember it. With my paranoia after my other daughter's repeated nasty swellings and infections, it was unlikely I would forget anyways but I do have five children. For anybody who wants to have their child's ears pierced...
...

ChadFitzgerald says "StaphAseptic really worked for me." about StaphAseptic

With all the things folks have to watch out for these days its unfortunate that community Staph or MRSA is one of those things. Its not easy for me to admit but this type of staph infections I have been fighting for years now. Finally an over the counter product offers help its called StaphAseptic.

We paid somewhere around 15 dollars for this product and not haveing used it before I was not all that sure that StaphAseptic would work at all. I felt that for me personally it was important to give it a try. Given that staph was a problem of mine I knew I would be able to say if this product lived up to the claims it was makeing.

StaphAseptic presents itself as a preventive, with the added benifit of fast pain relief. Like some many out there to be used on minor cuts, scrapes, burns and related skin irritations. Perhaps Tec Laboratories doesnt want to make claims they cannot live up to, so staph infections are not mentioned in the "for use on" section.

So to the good stuff, I applied StaphAseptic...
...

Jo says "My burn's First Aid was A + D " about A + D First Aid Ointment Skin Protectant

Just a few days before our son's wedding I burned my hand while heating up food. It was a nasty burn. Although I had products in our medicine cabinet I wanted to try something new so I bought a 1.5 ounce tube of A+D First Aid Ointment Skin Protectant for under $5.00.

The claims

Made by Shering-Plough in the U.S.A. the company claims that A+D First Aid Ointment Skin Protectant is good for cuts, dry cracked skin, burns, scrapes, chapped lips and that it helps protect our skin from the affects of wind and cold weather.

Warnings and Ingredients

A+D First Aid Ointment Skin Protectant is for external use only and we are warned not to get the ointment in our eyes. We are also told that this is not for animal bites and serious burns or medical conditions.

The active ingredients are lanolin and petroletum which are skin protectors. I am not sure I would use this on my lips frankly because of the petroletum.

The inactive ingredients are cod liver oil which has Vitamins A & D, fragrance, light...
...

I bought a bottle of this stuff for my mom to help with her pain from Fibromyalgia. i also bought a bottle for myself. Just a cpl of days after I bought it, we were camping at the lake and my daughter got a bad sunburn, and I got eaten alive by something. I applied the oil to both of us. The next morning my daughter's burn was completely gone. Not even a tan left behind. completely healed. My bug bites were no longer bothering me, and where I had scratched them was gone. You can put this stuff in laundry to kill allergens, put some in your bath water for pain, Inhale the vapors for colds and headaches.....The list goes on and on. I put some on a friend of mine's daughter's lips last winter because they were so chapped and raw, the next day they were back to normal. Insanely awesome stuff....

SuperMom says "Helps prevent MRSA infections in minor cuts, scrapes and burns" about StaphAseptic

Anyone who has a child that plays sports knows that we moms get together and talk about everything from what we did last weekend to our latest concerns about our children. So when one of the children on the team developed a staph infection, it didn't take long for the details to circulate to all of us.

The story was scary, the child's infection turned out to be MRSA, methicillin resistant staph, and he spent 4 days in the hospital on strong antibiotics. He did make it through OK.

After that experience, I decided to research preventative measures to avoid a similar situation with my own child. That is when I came across StaphAseptic. Their website has a downloadable brochure at staphaseptic.com that explains what MRSA is and how to prevent it.

StaphAseptic is a new wound care treatment that can be found in the first aid aisle of your pharmacy and claims to kill MRSA bacteria. I have found that it feels good on my cuts. The gel is easy to apply, although the tube not always easy...
...

Telpher says "A natural wonder from Down Under" about Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil

Thursday Plantation makes a whole line of products made with tea tree, all of which I like, but nothing beats the regular, little, old bottle of pure tea tree oil. Tea tree is a plant native to Australia and NZ, and folks from both of these countries have known about the healing qualities of this plant for centuries. It's only just caught on the USA with in the last few years, and still isn't widely known about.

Pure tea tree oil is excellent in a variety of situations, including:

Disinfecting cuts and abrasions

Clearing up athelete's foot (in record time!)

Treating infection-prone acne

As an inhalant at the early signs of head or chest cold

To relieve the itch and burning of insect bites

This stuff is great. There are other companies selling tea tree oil, but I like Thursday Plantation. It's the pure stuff, direct from Down Under. A small bottle of the stuff may seem expensive, but you're only meant to use a drop or two at a time. A little goes a long, long way. I can't stress enough how quick...
...
