smile4mmm says "Helps relieve my chronic sinusitis" about Nasacort NASAL SPRAY

Nasacort Nasal Spray in combination use with Singulair has helped relieve my chronic sinusitis. I used to constantly feel sinus pressure. I would have a headache/migraine at least one day a week. The pressure would make me feel constantly drowsy. I always felt like my eyes wanted to close due to the constant pressure around my eyes. This combination of medicines has helped open my passageways and relieved that sinus pressure. I feel more energized and more awake. I now rarely have a headache and usually only if I forget to take my medicine. The one thing I don't like about Nasacort is the awful taste. I tend to have post nasal drip and the taste of the stuff is awful. I always have to make sure I have some water or other drink on hand after using the spray. I do like that it tends to clear out my sinuses right away and in using these two medicines I am able to sleep better at night.
...

smile4mmm says "Great for helping me breath" about Singulair Singulair

I have found Singulair to be one of the few medicines to really help my breathing and sinus problems. I have chronic sinusitis and taking this medicine along with Nasacort nasal spray has really helped relieve the sinus pressure I have felt for years. I used to get headaches at least once a week. This combination of medicines has really opened up my sinuses and allowed me to breath better. Even when I get a cold now it isn't as severe as it used to be. My sinus passages used to just close when I had a cold, but now I can still breath a bit even with the cold. The pressure isn't as intense behind my eyes, in my ears, or other parts of my face. I used to feel tired all the time due to the sinus pressure, but Singulair has really helped open my passageways which allows me to breath and feel more energized. It is nice to be able to finally breath regularly and not always feel as if I'm not receiving enough oxygen.
...

dawnymarieeeee says "For gnawing stomach acid this is your best friend." about RANITIDINE ZANTAC

Everyone is aware that the endless brands/varieties of acid controlling OTC (over the counter) medications is vast and daunting. Which one will work for you? Will one pill really relieve my symptoms? (which can be uncomfortable to say the least). They all are pricey, if I eat a few tums or rolaids, won't that do the trick as well as these? Almost everyone these days experiences some sort of stomach issue, be it a "sour stomach" "indigestion" "bloating" or "acid feeling". These symptoms are often triggered by foods, stress, medications and the unknown. When I first began having stomach acid problems it too me by surprise (what? I have an iron stomach), I found out that is not always true. This problem would lead to me begging my spouse to drive to the nearest drugstore and purchase a "stomach medicine". They would ask "which one", I would respond "I am not sure, get the cheapest one". Of course being frugal by nature anyway he would come home with the store brand product or the latest deal.......

I started using yaz at the age of eighteen. I started two weeks before i got married. I have been using it since then. It will be three years in a few months. I love it. I always have had a hard time with acne. I have very oily skin and break out alot. Since I have started yaz I break out only on my period week. I also had a very rough time with my period. I struggled with being regular. I would go three months and not have a period and then have one heavy one that would put me out for days. With yaz i have a very light period or three days. I love it. I also have no mood swings which my husband is very grateful. And of course it is doing it job I haven't gotten pregnant. So all in all it works great. the only thing that i do not like about yaz is that sexually i do not get aroused as much as i used to. But I talked to my doctor and she said that is to be expected with any birth control. I love yaz.
...

theweathereye says "Yaz is expensive but the best option for my PMDD" about Yaz Yaz Birthcontrol

I've had irregular periods since I was in middle school; I was told that it was totally natural. Accompanying these periods were cramps so bad I would curl up on the bathroom floor-- taking 3 or 4 Advil just to take the edge off. Throughout college my cramping got worse, and was accompanied by ridiculous mood swings, depression, and muscle aches. I was also gaining weight (though I had been and continued to be very active). I finally laid down all of my symptoms to my doctor when I was 21 and she promptly diagnosed me with PCOS and PMDD. She prescribed YAZ for both of these issues. I had never been on the birth control pill before.

The first month was hell. The week before, during, and after my first period on YAZ was torture; I had such intense pain that I would just sit in hot water to relieve the cramps, or lay in bed. My mood swings only seemed to get worse. I called my doctor-- she told me to give it one month.

The second month was as different as night and day: my mood swings were...
...

I take the generic brand of this medication (fluoxetine), and there is no way I could miss a day without taking it. I started taking this medication about seven years ago, and in all honesty, if I hadn't taken it, I would be one messed up women. I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficite Disorder, depression, lots of stress and panic attacks, and this medication works wonders for me, I have heard stories from other users saying that it does not do anything for them, and that it even makes them worse, but it all comes down to what medicine is right for you. And if it the right medicine, it works. I have gone one day without taking my medicine and I have been able to tell the difference. Also, it is a non habit forming drug. Non- narcotic, so it is pretty safe. My doctor has tried to switch me to different medicines like this one, and they have done no good for me. I love this medicine.
...

For three years I was prescribed numerous antidepressants to combat my major depressive disorder. Some worked better than others, but all had side effects I could tolerate for only so long. Last year my doctor suggested I try EFFEXOR. She prescribed a very small dosage which I tolerated very well. In less than three months the dosage was perfect and I have never had any side effects. Now I can make social plans and actually attend them instead of cancelling at the last minute for fear of being around too many people. I am calmer at work and truly enjoy family gatherings. My panic attacks are far fewer and occur much less frequently. I take it first thing in the morning with a large glass of water. The few times I have forgotten to take EFFEXOR, I did not have any of those horrible withdrawal side effects, I just could feel a little bit of anxiety and realized immediately I simply needed to take the medication.
...

I have to say that Cymbalta is such a great medicine. I was hurting as if my body was trembeling inside. I didn't know what was wrong with me. My Dr. ran some tests on me to make sure I didn't have some things going on. Everything came back fine. Then he said , I think you have some depression. Cymbalta will help the aches and make you even feel better. The next morning I woke up and was amazed. It is a real good product. I only take a small dose and I do feel so much better.

I have suffered with restless leg syndrome since before there was an official name for it. I just thought it was insomnia. When I was in my twenties I would lay awake at night, and fight it, in my thirties, I would try everything from standing out in zero degree weather hoping my legs would freeze until I fell asleep, to warm baths, cold baths, shaving, lotion, massaging, etc. Nothing worked. Finally in my late thirties it got so bad that I wanted to commit suicide. I had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which was a result of the RLS. I went to the doctor again, armed with internet articles about clonazapam, which was before the NEW medicine for RLS. THe doctor refused to give me a scheduled drug afraid I would become addicted. He was also a geriatric doctor, and prescribed Sinemet. WHich comes in generic form (cheap). THe drug is for Parkinsons patients. He told me that Parkinsons patients suffer with RLS, and studies had shown this drug helped. I told him that if...
...

I have been caring for a gentleman who had severe depression. I saw him shortly before he started taking the medication Effexor XR. The XR stands for extended release. This medication has truly made a difference in his life as he is able to live life once again and enjoy all the wonderful things life has to offer. There was once a time when he did not want to get out of bed, get dressed, or even go out. He preferred to stay home, not answer the phone and stay in bed all day. I insisted that we see the doctor who immediately prescribed Effexor XR to him and within three weeks he was back to himself again. He can't believe the difference it has made. He wanted to write this review himself, but he has Rheumetoid arthritis and couldn't, so I told him that I would do it for him since I could truly speak on behalf of how well it works. He is now looking forward to the holidays thanks to Effexor XR.
...

I feel like I've taken so much antibiotic medication in the last 9 months that I'm not sure what actually works anymore. I was sick just a few weeks ago and was placed on another antibiotic medication that I thought worked for me before, but did not do the job this time. So, whatever I had came back with a vengenance! My family practice doctor placed me and my daughter both on Ciprofloxacin 500 mg tablets to be taken twice daily. She has the same thing I do, but seems to be one day behind me.

This antibiotic took quick action. I started taking this on November 3rd and felt much better on November 5th. As each day passes I can feel myself regaining strength and going back to normal. The last medication just kept me at an even pace, not getting better, but not getting worse either. I feel this antibiotic is actually working. I can even notice the difference with my daughter. Note: she was also on the last antibiotic medication I was also.

I was having some problems with my intestinal tract and was told I should have a colonoscopy. During this procedure they found the source of my bleeding and prescribed Hydrocortisone Acetate 2.5% - Pramoxine HCI 1% Cream.

This medication took care of my problems, stopped the pain and itching, shrunk the sores, and made me feel so much better in such a delicate area.

There are some draw backs to this medication. It takes quite a bit of work to change the tip, draw up the cream, insertion, dispertion, the clean up afterwards of both the tip and yourself. The biggest drawback is the continuous mess of leakage. The cream dissolves and turns into a liquid so if too much is inserted it will mess up clothing and could be embarrassing. I feel this issue can be resolved with not using as much or taking other precautions after using. I am willing to deal with it in order to stop the intense pain I was in. I feel the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.

About 9 months ago I began having severe dizziness, went through series of testing before finding out I have Chronic Sinunitis Disease. In layman terms I have sinunitis. I was prescribed Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray as one of my treatments.

When I first started using this nasal spray it burned the inside of my nasal cavity and the inside of my nose, however after awhile this subsided. The dizziness went away and I was able to turn over without feeling like I was going to pass out. I thought this was the greatest medication for my problem.

After using Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray for a few months, I was breathing better, dizziness gone, but I was having difficulty waking up in the morning. The fatigue was unbelievable. I honestly thought something else was wrong. After speaking with my Ear Nose and Throat doctor he suggested stopping the use of this and just do the baking soda and salt water flushes. Yes, you guessed it, the fatigue slowly went away and I felt so much better....
...

Have had some issues with my cholesterol for about 9 months now and have tried different things, with fluctuating results. Saw my cardiologist in the last few months and he was concerned that my HDL was too low and suggested I see my family practice doctor. I saw the family practice doctor and after testing she put me on Trilipix 135 mg once daily.

My first shock was at the pharmacy, this medicine was going to cost us $125 for a 30 day supply, even with our insurance. Some deal with it being a third level new medication and no generic. Well, our family doctor provided samples.

Trilipix is a pretty blue and yellow capsule. I thought all was good now and this medicine was going to be the wonder drug to raise my HDL, lower my LDL, and lower my triglycerides. Not all things colorful bring happy results. After taking this medication for just a few days I began to have problems with my intestinal tract which resulted in added problems.

For several months I suffered from pain in my legs. I had trouble walking and the pain was so severe that I would just sit and cry. I had gone to eight doctors and none of them could find the problem. I finally went to a neurologist and even though he couldn't identify the problem, put me on Cymbalta. By the second day I could finally sleep, and the third I could slowly walk a little bit. I swear by this medicine. I am now taking two pills a day and doing most anything that I want to do. This medicine is a given through an injection It is not a big deal because the injector is like a pen and you just click it like clicking a pen. The injector is already fille d with the medicine. I give myself shots in the stomach with the enbrel pen and it doesn't even hurt. Th eshots can also be given in the thigh or the back of th eupper arms, but I have found the stomach to be th eleast painful. TIP: I let the medicine get to room temperature before I inject it and I think helps reduce the pain.

I could barely walk to my mailbox before I started using enbrel. My arthritis pain has been greatly reduced with enbrel and enbrel is NOT a pain medicine. It is a medicine that keeps your immune system from being so active and causing flare ups. My swelling went down right away. I noticed symptom reduction just a few days after I had the firest shot. I have been on enbrel for a year and a half and I have had no adverse side effects....
...

zoloft does take the edge out of your depression, but only makes u feel normal, and who wants to feel normal???

Zoloft is FDA approved to treat depression, certain types of social anxiety conditions, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in adults over age 18.

I'm a busy mom! I have been a migraine suffered since my first child was born, infact I have suffered since he was 2 days old. Before that I never had a migraine headache, never in my life. Go figure, those crazy hormones. IN those past 15 1/2 years! I Have been on and off many types of migraines medicines, trying to find the ones that work right just for me. It wasn't until I tried the Topomax and finally figured out the right dosage and was happy with this medicine and finally was able to fight this horrible migraines that my life changed. Yes Topomax did carry some horrible side effects for me, in the beginning, but like most over the counter medicines, it took a while for them to go away and then I was fine. It took the doctor and myself also a while to figure out the correct dosage. But once this was figured out, I have been quite happy with the amount of Topomax I've been on and my Migraines that I dont' suffer with anymore!
...
