I have an illness that requires for me to be on oxygen and am also allergic to certain medications so my family doctor suggested that I get a medical ID bracelet or necklace of some kind. Sometimes I get very lightheaded when I am on my own and can pass out so I decided to get a medical ID bracelet in case of an emergency while I am by myself. I am young so I was hesitant to get a bracelet because I thought they would cost a fortune. So I go to the website and place my order for my bracelet then to my surprise, the website offered a large discount if I ordered more. Well, my mother and grandmother are both diabetic so I ordered them bracelets as well. My total cost for 3 bracelets that will not tarnish or turn me green, engraved with our individual information, and shipping was a total of $65.00. There were many options and I chose the stainless steel for all of us but they have sterling silver and gold. I strongly recommend this site because of the options, ease of use, and...

tendernesstour says "The only action to be found here is that of a breakdown!" about Invacare Action MVP

One of the most disappointing experiences I've had in the world of lightweight wheelchairs, The Invacare Action MVP (Model #: MVP) is billed as Invacare's action to Sunrise Medical's "Quickie" line of chairs. — Quite simply, it's not. — Virtually every aspect of the Invacare Action MVP screams out mediocrity, from frame construction, to hardware, to seat upholstery and, finally, Invacare's embarrassingly bad customer service. — In other words, everything that is "right" about a "Quickie" goes wrong when it comes to the "Action" chair. To be sure, the Action MVP is more affordable than the "Quickie" line, a fact that has allowed Invacare to snatch much of the state and Vocational Rehabilitation funding from Sunrise Medical. Rest assured, however, that while Quickie may cost a bit more it will prove more durable and long-lasting than the Action MVP. — What are the pros? The Action MVP is, indeed, a lightweight chair. I climb stairs often, and have to lug...

katlnhat says "This is excellent!" about Medline Bath Bench

This is one of the best things ever invented - pair it with a hand-held shower that attaches right to your own shower head and have a seat and enjoy your shower - without worrying about falling or slipping; maybe even hurting yourself. — I'd recommend this to anyone, old, young, disabled, healthy, it's just that good. I needed something after taking a fall and having a heavy object fall on top of me, which was WHY I fell. As I'm too young for a hip replacement, I use this everytime I take a shower, combined with a hand-held shower head attachment. — It makes taking a shower, non-painful, which is always a good thing and if you know of anyone that's getting out of the hospital, know as well that they'll be very weak for awhile. Great coming-home gift and get one for yourself while you're at it. You won't regret this purchase. We never have, for sure. — ...

The Nexus III Cable-Free Outdoor Rollator Walker is a great product made by Dana Douglas. It is adjustable in height and has additional attachments for tall people. The padded seat is very comfortable. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver. I really like that there are no brake cables to get caught in, the cable-free design is an excellent feature. It comes with a removable basket that could be used for shopping or putting your jacket into. There is a handle in the seat that you can lift on and the walker easily folds in half to store in trunk or in places with little or no storage. This walker also features a moveable backrest that allows you to sit either way on the walker. Leaving the back rest in the regular position allows you to take a break and sit on the seat. If you flip the backrest this allows you to sit on the walker and pull it up to a table without the handles getting in the way. Worth every penny...

When I had hip surgery at a young age, it was impossible to take a shower comfortably. This seat was my best friend for about a month and a half and I still use it! I couldn't stand long periods of time and this is a convenient way to shower without actually sitting on the ground. I can see why many elderly people would use this and I am thankful it was so light and easy to move. No instillations needed and you can easily use it as needed. Great device and very secure.

To the PointMy mom was operated on in August 2006 in Massachusetts. In Florida she has items that enable her to be as safe as possible. We didn't have anything; however. We went to a store that sold medical devices. (You may be able to find some at Walgreen's.) One item was the Medline Bath Bench. It's great in the short term but for long term use I'd get a different one. — A Closer View — My mom just spent a month with us so the bench came in handy once again. You can buy it and see it at www.amazon.com/Medline-Bath-Bench-without-Back/dp/B0007VNZUE/ref=pd_sbs_hpc_title_1. — This has a grey seat and no back. That's why I said it's great in the short term. If my mom were using this all the time then one with a back would be a better purchase. This will run you in the $35 vicinity. — It has some great features. —...

Anyone who has experienced fatigue, vertigo, balance and mobility problems knows that it's always helpful to have a little strong support. My husband, of course, is my main source of support (thanks, big guy!), but sometimes I need something extra when MS-related fatigue sets in. The Extend A Hand Grab Bar is a locking extension grab bar that assists you in the home and can significantly reduce your risk of falling. The typical and conventional grab bar is usually placed one-and-a-half inches off the wall, making it difficult to reach. In contrast, Extend A Hand is designed with a 12-inch extension that locks into place and is much easier to reach. If I hold onto it with both hands, I can use it as leverage to lift myself easily. — My hubby mounted the grab bar directly to the existing studs in my bathroom. Once this baby is installed in a stud, trust me, it's not going to give way. Mine was installed near the toilet area, but you can mount...
