AmyA says "Captian Morgan did it again with Sunset Surf - Fer sure Dudes" about Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Sunset Surf

Another great malt beverage from Captain Morgan Parrot Bay is Sunset Surf. Light refreshing pineapple and orange. Kind of reminds me of a orange drink with pineapple and has a little kick. — Captain Morgan infuses their rum with natural flavors of nature and this is a very refreshing drink. Nice to pour into a chilled glass with a slice of orange or pineapple or both for a garnish in the glass to kick it up a notch. Thinking about it a bit of banana would good too in this. — Captain Morgan Parrot Bay comes in a six pack for around $6.99. They also have other flavors to tease your taste buds. "Mojito" (lime and mint), "Pineapple Colada" (pineapple and coconut), "Matava Blue" (berry and kiwi) and "Wave Runner" (passion fruit and mango). This is a malt beverage with 5% alcohol. — Please remember Do not drink and drive! —...

My husband Bob and I were at his sister's over the Forth of July weekend and I wasn't in a beer mood so my brother in law showed me their new find. Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Mojito and let me tell you this is one very refreshing drink. A nicer blend then the old simple wine cooler. — Picture Captain Morgan infused with lime and a hint of mint, chilled to perfection and you have a wonderful drink. I don't taste the Captain Morgan, but the combination is very good. I was very iffy when I saw the bottle because I am not a Captain Morgan rum drinker, but I am very happy I gave it a try. Cool and refreshing on a hot summers day by the grill, around the fire pit or by pool side (tried all places and worked well :) — They also have other flavors to tease your taste buds. "Sunset Surf "(orange and pineapple), "Pineapple Colada" (pineapple and coconut), "Matava Blue" (berry and kiwi) and "Wave Runner" (passion...

davidr94133 says "The best flavored Vodka, Period." about Hangar One Mandarin Blossum

This stuff is made in the Bay area and is absolutely amazing. Rather than follow the path of typical flavored vodkas where they just use an artificial flavoring, Hangar One uses actual mandarin fruit and flowers to infuse the orange taste. The result is nothing less than authentic flavor. It is so good you can drink it without a mixer and still swear it has been mixed with something. The other benefit is that the Hangar One vodka is very high quality and produces no hangover effects. — —

Makes a great cosmo but my favorite is simply with soda. — —

Enjoy! — —...

Malibu Rum is oh so smooth. You can mix it into a variety of juices which will give you a colada result. I recommend trying a variety of juices since Malibu is somewhat on the sweet side. You can also purchase Pina Colada mix, add Malibu Rum and lots of ice. Use the crush mode on your blender and mix it to your desired thickness...so good. But again, I would recommend a lot of ice to lower the sweetness. — My personal favorite, (this may sound gross) is to mix Malibu Rum with plain seltzer over ice in a tall glass. It may not sound good, but it really refreshing, especially in the summer.
I love to try new drinks, especially when they are flavored with tastes I love like White Chocolate. I have always been a fan of the decadent desserts made my Godiva, so I couldn't wait to drink some of this beverage at a recent party. One large bottle retails for about $27 and contains 30 proof alcohol which isn't much as long as you drink in moderation. The drink looks just like you would think, a creamy white chocolate color. The aroma is a little strong of alcohol, but the taste is much sweeter. This is a great mixer in coffee and other cocktail concoctions. It has a taste of sweet white chocolate but also the strong taste of alcohol. The beverage is rich and creamy and tastes great. This is the perfect drink to bring to your next social gathering and is a great mixer in an Irish...

TaraLee says "Rich, fruity and long" about The Balvenie 1993 Portwood

Golf, cigars, steak and single malt. When I decided to become a lawyer I decided that I was going to try all of the "typical" old boy delights that are supposed to be enjoyed by lawyers and bankers. Unfortunately, or to be as expected the only ones that I stuck with were steak and single malt. —

I say unfortunately because it can be pricey, and the single malt's I like are hard to find in small town Michigan where I now live. —

Here is how The Balvenie describes its fantastic 15yr old Port Wood. —

A delicious Speyside single malt with vanilla oak and honeyed, fruity sweetness on the nose and a rich distinctive taste with hits of ripe apricots and dried fruits rounded off with a vanilla oakiness. Its finish is rich, fruity and long. —

My translation, this whisky tastes warm and smooth when you drink it. It has a strong fruity aroma, like a dry red wine, perhaps a cabernet, and then the distinctive warm smoky smell of whiskey. —

Single malts...

Jo says "Kahlua B-52: It's the bomb!" about Kahlua B52

To the Point I have been drinking pre-made liqueur drinks this summer. My most recent are Kahlua Chocolate Lattes. I like Mudslides better but the Chocolate Lattes will do just fine! Recently I bought a package of four pre-made drinks called Kahlua B-52. They are delicious. — — A Closer View — — Kahlua is my favorite drink so finding these pre-made 200 ml bottles were terrific. I don't drink much so I can make one bottle last a couple of nights. — Kahlua B-52 has the flavors or Irish Cream and essence of orange and added caramel color. — Kahlua B-52 has an ABV (alcohol by volume) of 5% which is the average for beer. Liqueur usually has a higher ABV with straight Kahlua in the 20% ABV range. — Kahlua is imported by Hiram Walker & Sons, Batavia, New York. — I paid $7.99 for the four pack which is expensive but I like the convenience especially when I'm on the road or not home. . — Kahlua B-52 has little smell or taste of...

I bartend at an upscale restaurant in my hometown, and I convinced the owners to stock up on the Godiva liquors after having a chocolate martini at another restaurant in a bigger city. It tastes great, very rich, and mixes very well with vodka. To make the best martini, I use a chocolate vodka, the Godiva White Chocolate, and the Godiva Dark Chocolate. Then I shake it and pour into a chilled martini glass swirled with chocolate syrup. My customers love it, and it is now one of the most popular drinks...

While this is my second favorite single malt scotch whisky, I would recommend it as the first thing to try for someone who has never ventured into these types of higher end elixirs. Lagavulin provides a soothing blend of sweetness, brine, and smoke that makes it unique among its competitors. Like Laphroaig (my number one), it comes from Islay; however, Lagavulin is a bit more subtle and rounded. While, I like the slightly more intense elements of Laphroaig, Lagavulin softer tone might be better suited for the novice. — — Drink it in small amounts; straight or perhaps with a slight splash of water, but NEVER with...
