helpmeetmom says "I would go every day if I could!" about Giant Eagle variety

OH wow, how I love Giant Eagle! I go every week, but would go more often if I could. The coupons and sales are amazing and I am so grateful for it! Keep up the good work! I have referred probably 20 people who are now loyal shoppers. I am there for hours finding oodles of good deals and keep wanting to go back for more. They have a great deli, fresh produce, and quick and helpful checkout. The savings I and so many of my friends have received there are unparalleled, and I hope they don't change a thing. You also get the best fuelperks! You get .20 off per gallon of gas for every $50 you spend there including gift cards. They also double coupons up to $1 and if it is $1.25 or $1.50 off, they round it up to $2.00 off! I am so impressed I just have to tell more people about it....

FLBoop says "MMMMMMMMMM................." about M&M's Wildly Cherry candy

I bought a small bag of the Wild Cherry M&M's for my grandson's Easter basket.

Well, he wasn't very excited about them so I asked him if I could try them.

The first bite reminded me of those (very expensive) Harry & David's chocolate cherry things that I love so much. After eating about half the bag I was kind of sick of them though (LOL). That didn't stop me from eating the rest of the bag the next day!

I have since bought them for others to try and everyone likes them. I have a bag in my freezer right now because I bvelieve they are not being made anymore, but I could be wrong. I think they were one of the "limited edition" M&M's.
...

Would you rather the price simply go up?
Or would you prefer that the product gets smaller and the price remains the same?
This was front page stuff in the Los Angeles Times of November 9, 2008. The article, "Objects in store are smaller than they appear" by Jerry Hirsch can be found online at the Times site.
Which brings us to the Skippy dimple, something I hadn't caught on to. Basically, the jar looks the same, but the bottom of the jar has lifted in a dimple shape. (I think of little invisible elevator shoes doing the job.) But, in fact, this is the way Unilever and other manufacturers sometimes choose to do business.
The kindly dictionary word for this would be disingenuous which, according to Webster means "not straightforward; not candid or frank; insincere".
When a Unilever spokesman was asked if this packaging was deceptive, his only response was "that the lower weight is clearly listed on the package".
Dreyer's......

LoveisJoy says "Stride Gum Tastes "Berry" Artificial" about Stride Sweet Berry Sugarfree Gum

I'd seen the commercial where a van full of men go to great lengths to make someone spit out his gum because he's been chewing it too long. The message of the commercial is that the gum is so flavorful that you'll want to keep on chewing it forever and won't buy another pack. While the ad is admittedly over-the-top and designed to get the consumer's attention, it did whet my curiosity because I am a lover of chewing gum. Let's face it - most brands of sugarless gum lose their flavor pretty quickly, so long lasting taste really is an appealing message.
I opened a pack of Stride Sweet Berry Sugarfree Gum to find 14 pieces of fragrant, individually wrapped pieces of gum nestled in the package. I normally chew Orbit gum, but I'm always willing to try something new. When I popped a piece of Stride Sweet Berry in my mouth, I will say that I found it to be immediately flavorful. Unfortunately, the flavor was more like something you'd concoct in a lab experiment than something that...
...

I am sitting here with my nearly eight year old son and he thinks we should review See's Gourmet Lollypops. I have to agree. Every time I pass through the San Francisco airport I pick up a box of these great candies. They come in some great flavors (peanut butter, butterscotch, chocolate, vanilla, and cafe latte). My personal favorite is the peanut butter but for some reason it did not come with the assorted box I just brought home. My son's personal favorite is the butterscotch.

I highly recommend See's Candies Gourmet Lollypops!
...

For years we have been hearing about the benefits of oatmeal for a healthy heart. It helps lower your cholesterol. So many wonder how can something that tastes so great be great for you. Because the oatmeal is made with whole grain oats, the soluble fiber produces a chemical breakdown which runs interference with the cholesterol. That's my non-scientific explanation. I'm sure if I googled it I could get a better explanation but I'm not writing a research paper. I'm telling why I love this product.
I am not an everyday oatmeal or cream of wheat person. But this weekend it was cold outside and I was needing something warm inside. I rummaged through my pantry-nothing! Then I went to the cabinet below the kitchen island and found a box of Quaker Instant Oatmeal. Now first of all I must tell you: This product has a really good shelf life. I got it last year during Thanksgiving or Christmas. The expiration date on the box is April 14, 09. I ate two packages this weekend...
...

Hello. My name is Mindy and I'm addicted to Tastefully Simple Garlic Garlic Seasoning Blend. Each 4.5 oz. jar costs $8.99 and is only available through a Tastefully Simple consultant.

I live in an area saturated with Middle Eastern restaurants that serve amazing garlic dips. For years, I tried to duplicate the garlic dip recipes without any success.

I had never heard of Tastefully Simple until a family friend hosted a party. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the party but my mother did, and that's when she discovered the Garlic Garlic Seasoning Blend. The hostess made the garlic dip recipe that is listed on the back of the jar and it was delicious. My mother immediately purchased two jars, one of them for me (yeah!), and made the dip at her home. I couldn't get enough of it and had to make my very own dip when I got home that same day.

Things have never been the same since I was introduced to my first bottle of Tastefully Simple Garlic Garlic Seasoning Blend. I...
...

Alienwordz says "Awesome Product" about Carroll Shelby's Chili Kit

There is no doubt that Carroll Shelby's chili packet makes the best tasting chili around BUT with a sodium content of 1320 mg's or 55% of one's daily minimum requirement the stuff is definitely in the foods to avoid if you have high blood pressure or are having to watch your sodium intake.

I have written to the company to find out if the sodium level is due to the tiny pouch of salt which one can control or omit or if the sodium in the product is from preservatives in the larger spice packet. I cannot get an answer out of them.

If you have no sodium intake problems I wholeheartedly reccomend Carroll Shleby's chili pack.

...

And after about two hours I was even more tired than when I took it.

There is something about a toaster pastry that to me is quintessentially American. But, the Kellogg's Pop Tart has always been equated with the rectangle fruit paste filled pastries with the yummy icing. I gave Pop Tarts Toaster Pastry's up a long time ago mostly because of the high sugar content.

But there is a new toaster pastry in town and it goes by the name of Fiber One, the new brand of high fiber foods by General Mills. Fiber One Chocolate Fudge Toaster Pastry's are the new kids on the block I spotted recently at my local Super target. It is one of four flavors offered; the others include: Blueberry, Brown Sugar Cinnamon, and Strawberry.

Because I am a chocolate lover, there is something particularly appealing about the taste of Fiber One Chocolate Fudge Toaster Pastry's; they taste like toaster pastries are supposed to taste, but they have the added benefit of being high in dietary fiber, checking in at 5 grams per pastry; that's 20% of your...
...

I think I paid $5 for this Macaroni Grill Basil & Parmesan Chicken dinner kit (no coupon) and would have paid double that now that I've prepared it. It is super delicious and besides the dinner kit all you need is boneless chicken breasts, butter and milk. You can see the quality of this product just by the ingredients contained in the box but still I couldn't believe how authentic and scrumptous this was as I was eating it. I'm already fantasizing about other ingredients that I'll add to this next time I prepare it....like vegetables and/or seafood. My one complaint is that the kit does not make enough. I would say enough for dinner for 2 with no leftovers. In summary, this dinner kit is fast, quick, simple and delicious. It's worth the shelf price and if you go to their website there's a $1.00 off coupon. Can't Beat It!...

Ok, let's start back years ago. My family used to tease me everytime we went to Baskin Robbins. It's the home of 31 flavors... yet back then I ALWAYS got vanilla! It didn't really matter that it was just plain old vanilla though, because I always topped it with loads of sprinkles. Now-a-days I try a lot of different flavors of ice cream, but I still gotta have my yummy sprinkles.

That's where Betty Crocker comes in. Betty Crocker Sprinkles allow me to have that ice cream shoppe taste while sitting in the comfort of my home. For under $4, I have a 9 oz container of sprinkles that lasts me a long long time... and let me tell you I use A LOT of sprinkles! You'll realize once you start using this that this little bottle goes a long way. If you are having an ice cream party, don't even think about buying more than one container, unless you want different flavors.

The bottle I have is Confetti Sprinkles which are basically multi-colored sprinkles. They don't have any certain flavor...
...

It's getting that time of year when people start using their slow cookers and crock-pots more. There is nothing like smelling pot roast or the taste of homemade chili that has been slow cooking for several hours, but Don't you just hate having to soak and scrub on those things? Well, no more thanks to Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners.

I have been using these liners for a couple of years now and they make clean up so much easier. All you have to do is put it in your slow cooker or crock-pot, put whatever it is you are wanting to cook in it, put the lid on and let it cook. The liners will fit round and oval shaped cookers. They do not burn, stick or make your food taste different. They are so easy and convenient to use.

The Instructions:

Step 1: Open slow cooker liner and place it inside the slow cooker bowl. Fit liner snugly against the bottom and sides of the bowl; pull top of liner over rim of bowl.

Step 2: Place ingredients in cooker first, then turn on cooker.

Several months ago I saw a presentation of some gourmet peanut butter on QVC and almost bought some until I read some really horrible reviews on QVC.com. Not long after some people on a message board were discussing a similar product from a company called Peanut Butter & Co. and mentioned that some of the flavors were available at Kroger.

So on my next trip to Kroger I dashed down the peanut butter aisle and saw that my Kroger does in fact carry this brand. I grabbed a 16 ounce jar of the White Chocolate Wonderful flavor and was anxious to try it. The next day I made some toast for breakfast and decided to spread a bit of this new peanut butter on top. I love peanut butter on warm toast and was hoping I'd really like this new one.

Unfortunately it was totally disgusting and a total waste of money. A lot of money. The 16 ounce jar was $5! Crazy, but I had to give it a try. There was very little peanut butter flavor to this product and all I really tasted was white chocolate and...
...

GigiandAdonai says "V-8 needs to stick w/juices--this is not their 'bowl of soup'" about Campbell's V8 Golden Butternut Squash Soup

I wanted to try this because I love Butternut Squash and I also love the original V-8 Juice. My best friend bought me this flavor and the Broccoli & Cheese. I was at my office the day she brought them to me. I was going to work late so I decided I would go to the kitchen and microwave this soup; which by then I was really anticipating.

First things first, the cardboard-like container is difficult to open. The instructions say to lift flap and snip corners. Well, I'm in a kitchen, not at my desk. I don't have scissors to "snip" the flap so I grab the next best thing--a steak knife. Did I tell you it was a sharp knife and that I am accident prone? Can you see what's coming? Well, I'm trying to carve the flap open and the knife slips and cuts my thumb. I have to tend to that while I'm thinking, "I should have gone back to my desk for some scissors."

Next on my list for "trying new things". When it is a new food or beverage product I always smell it. Well, this smelled...
...

stef42678 says "Small Vegetable Flavor" about Campbell's V8 Golden Butternut Squash Soup

I love to eat soup especially in fall when the weather is colder, so I was really excited to try this new Campbell's V8 Golden Butternut Squash Soup. I am vegetarian, so I am always on the lookout for a vegetable based soup and this sounded like a winner. So I was really disappointed at the flavors with this soup. There isn't much of a squash taste, just potatoes and it is really thick and rich. It tastes pretty bland, so I added my own vegetables to it and it made it taste better. It is high in sodium too and not an easy accessible package. I was disappointed in the flavors, so hopefully the other varieties taste better....

dinava says "Altoids are the ONLY mints that I go to." about Altoids Curiously Strong Mints Cinnamon

these altoids are DEFINITELY strong, but it does not make me shy away from them. in fact, i LOVE how it clears my sinuses! I feel like there are very few "genuine" mints out there. and it's comforting to know that they use real sugar instead of those unhealthy substitutes. THEY ARE HIGHLY ADDICTING! :)...
