I love to try new things and rarely am I disappointed in anything chocolate or loaded with sugar. However, The Hershey Company's latest product, Hershey's Kisses Filled With Irish Creme, was a definite two thumbs down from this self-professed chocolate lover. I don't have a lick of Irish in me but I didn't think that would disqualify me from enjoying these new Kisses.

Irish or not, these Hershey's Kisses are pretty awful. Upon opening the bag, the aroma made my nose turn up and my gag reflex kick in. Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with the flavor and aroma of Irish Creme but the inside of the bag smelled like eggnog to me, which I do not like. There was also a hint of an alcohol-type aroma, which I assumed was the Irish Creme - blech!

I do not drink Irish Creme flavored coffee or liqueur, so obviously I had no idea what I was in for with my purchase of Hershey's Kisses Filled With Irish Creme. The picture of a chocolate Kiss filled with yummy-looking white creme...
...

Nicole827 says "Another great flavor by Fiber One chewy bars" about Fiber One - Oats and Apple Streusel Chewy Bars

When I first tried the Fiber One chewy bars (Oats & Chocolate), I thought this was the best flavor ever. (yet it is still!) So I decided why not try other flavors of the Fiber One chewy bars, and so that's when I picked up a box of the Oats & Apple flavor. When I first bit into it, the flavors immediately hit! It definitely tasted like an apple streusel! WOW! It was chewy, and oh so delicious! The bar also appeared to have chunks of apples in it (which I didn't really care for so much). I liked the white icing on top of the bar, along with the crumb cake like crumbs on it, definitely gave it that extra flavor! Although the Oats & Chocolate are still the top favs, Oats & Apple Streusel comes in at a close second! Good job Fiber One! Customer for life!
...

ApriBambino says "ConAgra Foods DAVID Pumpkin Seeds won't hide in their shell long" about ConAgra Foods - DAVID Pumpkin Seeds

ConAgra Foods DAVID Pumpkin Seeds

I love to snack ! ConAgra Foods DAVID Pumpkin Seedsis one of my alltime favorite snack foods and I can't believe I haven't reviewed them sooner.

If you've never eaten a pumpkin seed, you should. DAVID seeds are toasted and salted giving them a delicious nutty flavor. You have to crack open each seed but they're so tender it's super easy to to. Just a small pinch between the teeth and you have a delicious plump Pumpkin Seed that's crispy and light. They package mentions that you can eat the entire shell along with the seed but I think doing it that way is not as pleasant as eating the meat inside by itself, and having all that salt isn't the greatest thing for anybody.

Salt aside, DAVID Pumpkin Seeds are a healthy snack. A 1/4 cup serving is only 160 calories of goodness. There's no sugar, no cholesterol, they're low in carbohydrates at 4 grams per 1/4 cup serving. They have 9 grams of protein, 1 gram of dietary fiber and provide needed Iron at 15%,...
...

awesomemommy says "a salty/sweet snack that satisfies the munchies" about Shultz - Honey Wheat pretzel twists

Shultz honey wheat braided pretzel twists are a salty, sweet snack that satisfies the need to munch. With only 110 caleries per serving of 10 fat pretzels, it is a good option for a quick snack that doesn't weigh you down with lots of calories. Only a couple of pretzels usually satisfies my need for a snack.

The pretzels are baked, and are always fresh tasting. They have a good crunch on the outside, and a softer texture inside. These are not just your average thin, straight pretzels, they are much more substantial, and give a variety of textures to the tastebuds.

With a slight hint of honey, they are the perfect sweetness, mixed with a bit of salty taste. The honey is what I love most about this product, it gives unique taste without being overly sweet like a lot of snacks. With the use of whole wheat in the pretzels you also get some whole grains in your diet when you eat this snack, yet your kids won't even know it's there, they love them too.

I've been dieting for two months now (and lost 16 lbs - yay) and I started out using the slim fast bars for meal replacement when I had to be out of the house or didn't have time to prepare food. I quickly got sick of them. They didn’t taste good at all. After a while I started perusing the other bars available and found these. They have the same calorie count as the slim fast bars, with more protein and more fiber. They may not exactly be health food, they do have a lot of sugar, but at least I feel like I’m having a treat now instead of being punished. The last time I used one was at a cookout for my daughter’s soccer team – there was no way I could eat from the buffet provided and stay on my plan, but I actually sat down and had one of these bars – I think they’re actually bigger than the other bars, too. The one problem is that I’ve found that my 8 year old daughter absolutely loves them. They are way too expensive to share! I’ve actually had to hide them in a top cupboard...
...

I don't even know how to describe these snack bars. I rarely buy "bars" of any kind, but I think I had a coupon and thought I'd try these, and I am forever hooked! You have the peanut bars dipped in peanut butter coating, which are divine, but then you have the almond bars dipped in almond butter coating, which are to die for! If you're a nut lover and sometimes just need something on the run to hold you over 'til you get the kids picked up from school and get dinner on the table......THIS IS YOUR SOLUTION!

Arby's roast beef sandwiches are the best fast food sandwich, or anything for that matter, that i have ever had. i dont eat much fast food, but every time i pass an arby's, no matter if i had just ate or not, i have to stop and get one. they are the only fast food that i enjoy this much, and their arby's sauce is soooooo good! i would recommend this to absolutely everyone in the world. i am not exagurating when i say how much i love these arby's sandwiches, they are so good and everyone should eat one in their life time. we really need an arby's in saint cloud florida because i would eat there every single day and i would probably be super fat. but i wouldnt even care. arby's is just that good, please go to arby's and just eat a sandwich and you will definately agree with me in about one second. so i think you can tell already, but i give arby's sandwiches a hundred stars out of five
...

MRSverret says "These are Oh So Good!" about Archway - Frosty Lemon Cookies

Anyone that knows me knows I love to snack. You will always find cookies, crackers, ice cream, snack cakes, something to eat in my house. When my husband and I were in Texas about six months ago, I picked up Archway Frosty Lemon Cookies. They were so good. While I was at the grocery store yesterday I noticed they sold them so I picked a pack up.

Archway Frosty Lemon cookies are so good! I purchased the pack for around $3. There are 10 BIG cookies. The cookies are a flower shape and are around 4 inches in diameter with a small hole in the middle. The top doesn't really have a frosting it's more like a glaze.

With your first bite you notice the cookies soft baked texture. And then you get the lemony goodness. The cookie isn't overly sweet. It has the perfect balance of flavors. This has to be one of my favorite lemon cookies.

Of course, with most any cookie, these aren't for someone who is dieting. One cookie contains 4.5 total grams of fat, 1.5 g of saturated fat and 1 g of...
...

I would never had heard of Townhouse FlipSides Pretzel Crackers if it weren't for an offer I got when I was clipping coupons. The coupon didn't say much except that they were "pretzel crackers" so I was certainly curious!

Now that I've bought them, ate them, and loved them, I know these crackers will be a staple in our house and something I bring anytime I need to make a cheese and cracker plate for a party. With one side tasting like a pretzel, and the other side tasting like a cheese cracker, these things are delicious right out of the box. However, as you can see from my pics I really like to eat crackers with cheese so I added some sliced Kraft to my cracker and it was 10x better! I can't wait to tell my sister about these crackers so she can serve them with her famous Cheese ball! They are just so good and I bet they would go great with a whole variety of dips and spreads.

The best part is, the crackers are strong and can easily be used for dips without worry of them breaking....
...

I received a free sample of General Mills Fiber One Oats & Chocolate Chewy Bar and thought I'd give it a shot. I just tried it because I needed a quick snack to hold me over between lunch & dinner & I was pleasanlty surprised. I imagined it to taste somewhat like cardboard, but this took care of the sweet craving I was having. Each bar, of this variety at least, has 140 calories and 4 grams of fat in it so it's not what I usually try for for an afternoon snack. (I try to keep snacks more towards the 100 calorie mark). It was a decent size comparable to other snack granola bars. The package also mentions that each bar has 35% of your daily value of fiber.

The bars are chewy, but not gooey, which is a plus in my book. The Oats & Chocolate bar is exactly that - oats mixed with tiny chocolate chips, but it also has chocoalte drizzed over the top. I am more of a salty snacker, but this was fulfilling of my snack craving.

Liberty Orchards - which began operating in 1918 when two Armenian immigrants bought an apple farm in eastern Washington State and began experimenting with apple dehydration - has been making Aplets (a confection made of dried apples and walnuts based on a recipe for a Near Eastern candy known as rahat locoum) since 1920, partly as a purely business venture using surplus fruit, and partly out of nostalgia for some of the customs and foods from the Old World.

Several years later, Liberty Orchards came up with another variant of rahat locoum made from dried apricots and walnuts, which they named Cotlets. The two confections, which are essentially little rectangular cubes of jellied dried fruit and nuts lightly covered with powdered sugar, were then packaged together as Aplets and Cotlets, and before the outbreak of World War II, they were a treat for people who lived in or traveled to the Pacific Northwest region.

After World War II and with the advent of affordable air travel, Liberty Orchards...
...

When you think of eating something with Fiber in it, you typically think of it tasting like cardboard. Right? I know that I always thought of fiber intake until I tried this product. Fiber Plus bars will change the way you think of food with fiber in it.

This particular review is for the Fiber Plus Chocolate Chip bars.

These things are absolutely, positively, 100% delicious! If someone blindfolded you, and didn't tell you what they were feeding you, you would think you were eating a candy bar with some type of delicious rice crispy treat mixed in with it. The taste is outstanding, the texture is appealing, and the chocolate....oh the chocolate! You can smell the rich dark chocolate as soon as you tear open the package! The bottom of the Fiber Plus bar is completely coated with a thin layer of dark chocolate, and then the chocolate is drizzled over the top, and there are miniature chocolate chips scattered over the top too. YUM!

eatingcookies says "Good and good - er... not terrible for you!" about Frito-Lay Baked Cheetos

So, it happens to all of us, especially us women. Sometimes... I just have to have something crunchy, salty, and bad for me. And I don't want 10 of them, I want... 30 something of them. Which is great, because a serving of Baked Crunchy Cheetos is about 35 pieces.

The Pros:

On the positive side, this Baked product can totally match up in the crunch arena to the original product, which is fried. (Fun Fact: puffed Cheetos, not from the Baked line, are baked. I learned this on Unwrapped, a great Food Network show.)

They are visually pretty much the same, so this is also great mental trickery as well. It seems to me that the Baked potato chip varieties don't look the same at all as the regular fried versions. It's nice to be able to eat something so familiar.

The Cons:

Where this product loses a star is it's "cheesiness." (This is a situation in which cheesiness is a good thing.) It's not nearly as orange as it's counterpart, and it is not as strong in flavor. However......
...

these are a great snack. they travel everywhere because the bag is little and easily packed in lunches or kept in desk drawers. the nuts add a hint of protein and the granola will keep you full for a while. the other nice thing about these snacks is there are normally decent coupons for them making them that much more cost effective. they are adult and kid approved in my house and we keep them in the cabinet at all times. the crumbs are great on top of granola so nothing is wasted. also if you or someone you know has a child in school they are part of the box tops for education program...so not only do you get a wonderful snack you also can help our your local schools
...

Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch is definitely my favorite granola bar. It is packed with roasted nuts such as almonds, peanuts and sunflower seeds. This bar is not a soft bar but one with a great crunch to it. It is not only a satisfying snack but is filled with nuts which makes it a healthy snack. Nuts are a great source of protein. I'm always on the lookout for snacks that are not only filling and taste good but one that is also healthy. I love peanut brittle and it tastes a lot like that except not as hard to chew.
...

Siskel says "Chex Mix Chocolate Turtle is the best!" about Chex - Chocolate Chex Mix Turtle

Chex Mix Chocolate Turtle is an awesome snack. It has the sweet taste of chocolate but the salty taste of pretzels, popcorn and nuts. It has a good mix of salty and sweet and Chex Mix has a nice crunch to it. This combination is great tasting together. The fact that it has 50 percent less fat than potato chips makes it a much better snack then other salty snacks. Chex also has great coupons for Chex Mix. Combine the coupon with a sale on Chex and you have a great tasting, low-cost snack that my whole family enjoys eating.
...

KaciOhio says "It's pretty good on Ritz Crackers, not spicy, is okay. " about Kraft - Philadelphia Cracker Spread Pepperjack with Jalapeno

I picked this cracker spread from Walmart for about 2 dollars. Philadelphia Cracker Spread in PepperJack with Jalapeno Spreadable cheese made with cream cheese. It's good, isn't spicy but has a tiny kick to it. It tastes exactly like it sounds, cream cheese and barely a jalapeno taste. It comes in a 6.5oz tub, 2Tbsp = 90 calories, 70 calories from fat! 160mg sodium and 0 transfat. It comes in 4 different flavors, this one, Cheddar w/Monterey Jack, White Cheddar w/Roaster Red Pepper, Parmesan w/Garlic and Herbs. Contains milk and you must keep refridgerated. I like it but wouldn't buy it all the time, it's one of those things where you would eat it but your not like addicted to it lol The taste just isn't that great ...its okay.
...

It's estimated that 1 out of every 133 Americans have celiac disease, which is a chronic inherited digestive disorder that can cause damage to the small intestine. Glute is found in wheat, rye, baley and oats. Chex Rice and corn ceral has no glute in there product. It taset good and has has a least then 9 gram of sugar.

Beside ceral, I use chex to make healty snack for the family. Beside using it to make the stardern chex mix, it makes a great cookies, brownies and apple bars. If you like something sweet try the honey chex or the stawberry chexs.
...

My four-year-old daughter and I just shared part of a bag of Chex Mix Select Sweet 'n Salty Trail Mix as a snack. We actually had fun eating this snack! I like the actual Chex cereal pieces, the mini chocolate bits, and the peanuts. My daughter keep digging through the bag in order to find the raisins, peanuts, and chocolate. She liked the cereal pieces too, but it was like a little treasure hunt for her! She doesn't usually have this much fun sharing a snack.

I recommend this snack for both kids and adults. It's not overly sweet or overly salty, just a nice mix of the two. You get a crunch from the cereal, a nice sweet taste from the chocolate, some chewy fun from the raisins, and the saltiness of the peanuts.

While the bag itself is not resealable, we just rolled ours down and clipped it closed with a clothes pin. It was just as fresh a couple of days later... when we once again enjoyed sharing a snack (and a treasure hunt!).
...
