AnnaBanana says "The great taste of a pomegranate that even I know how to eat! " about Trader Joe's Pomegranate & Blueberry Flakes & Clusters Cereal

I know it sounds silly but I've never been quite sure what to do with a fresh pomegranate. When you open this attractive autumn fruit up, there is all this delightful red juicy stuff which I understand that I am supposed to eat but I never quite know what to do with all those seeds -- do I suck them clean and spit the seeds out? WHA? Perhaps because of this confusion, it only follows that I adore anything which delivers that great pomegranate flavor to me the easy way -- sauces, beverages, cocktails, etc. Someone at Trader Joe's must be sympathetic to my quandary because they have come up with Trader Joe's Pomegranate & Blueberry Flakes & Clusters Cereal.

Just opening the box is a great fruit-lover's experience as a delightful aroma wafts up comprised of not only whole wheat flour and rolled oats but also freeze-dried blueberries, pomegranate, cherry powder and elderberry extract. The freeze-dried fruits are delightful, being not too hard but wonderfully chewy and flavorful. ...
...

AnnaBanana says "Everything old is new again!" about Starbucks Perfect Oatmeal

One of the advantages of belonging to the Starbucks Card Rewards program is that you sometimes receive nice little "perks" from them such as a coupon good for a free serving of their latest "new" breakfast selection -- Starbucks Perfect Oatmeal. Yes, that's right -- the centuries old concept of hot oatmeal is an idea whose time has come again at Starbucks ... and it's just as delicious as oatmeal properly prepared has ever been and also available all day (not just during breakfast hours).

Since I got mine for free, I didn't notice the price but whatever it cost, I plan to get it again. They give you about seven ounces of hot oatmeal in a tightly covered cardboard cup with the instructions to wait three minutes before digging in and offer a selection of toppings -- Brown Sugar, Dried Fruit or Nut Medley -- which are provided in separate packets. Caught up in the excitement of the moment, I opted for all three toppings. Thank goodness I had to spend some calories walking...
...

I have eaten oatmeal almost all my life. I was never concerned and never really cared about the nutritional benefits or the amount of fiber in it until about 11 years ago when I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis. My doctor told me I needed to try and eat 35 grams of fiber a day, which is pretty hard to do. I've finally found an easy way to get most of my fiber intake by eating "Quaker High Fiber Instant Oatmeal" (Maple and Brown Sugar).

The Maple and Brown Sugar is delicious and I get 10 grams of fiber per pack...(I usually eat 2 packs, so that makes 20 grams...WOO HOO). I'm sure most people's hunger would be satisfied by only eating one because it is very filling, but I don't eat lunch, so it tides me over until supper. It is so creamy and tastes so good that I sometimes forget that it's good for me. There are 8 packs in a box and it cost me around $3.99. To me, it's a pretty good value because of the amount of fiber I'm getting.

It is convenient and easy to prepare. All you have...
...

To the Point
I love cereal. It's not uncommon for me to have cereal for dinner. When I saw Annie's Honey Bunnies on sale for $2.50 I grabbed three boxes. The price online is over $4.00. http://annies.elsstore.com/view/category/1510-breakfast-cereals/

A Closer View

Annie's Honey Bunnies Toasted Corn & Oat Cereal is said to be 75% organic and made with real honey and whole oats.
My kids would only eat cereal but i decided to try oatmeal and to my surprise they love it and it has protein to help keep you full longer. They really love the Banana Bread flavor. As for me it helps keep the weight down and keeps me full alot longer. I only wish they had more flavors like they do with other brands. Overall i would recommend this to other friends and family members as a great breakfast other than the sugary cereal alot of them eat everyday. ...

When I was younger, I really liked the instant packets of Quacker oatmeal that have different flavors not to mention a ton of sugar. Now and then I still like to eat those, but not to long ago I decided to try eating the real stuff. At first I wasn't too sure, but I have to say I now really like it. It fills me up in the morning, and it's always nice to hold a bowl of something warm. I add a fruit to it, like a banana or apple. Plus I know that I'm eating something healthy. Great stuff!...

I have to say, it does do that trick and it's a whole lot better than eating a stack of cookies.

I am both a morning person and a bona fide cereal person. I have the most mental clarity and energy in the morning, which is undoubtedly fueled by my daily bowl of cereal. The crunchier, the better. I prefer cereals that have a strong, textured flake and I'm passionate about any kind of raisins, cranberries, strawberries, almonds, and pecans, with an oat or nut cluster thrown in for good measure I am generally guided more by taste than nutritional information, but I'm trying to be more aware of how my favorite cereals stack up nutritionally. To that end, I was pleased to discover that General Mills' Fiber One Cereal with Honey Clusters offers a whopping 51% of the daily value of fiber in one crunchy bowl of flakes.
The lightly sweetened flakes are made of whole grain wheat, corn bran, and wheat bran. In addition, the whole grain oat clusters have a slight honey-sweetened taste that I enjoy. My only complaint is that there aren't nearly enough of the oat clusters to my liking. ...
...

When I need a healthy snack or quick breakfast on the go, I always turn to Kashi TLC granola bars. My favorite variety is the peanut butter, though the honey almond flax and trail mix flavors are also very good. This have a very small amount of fat, but plenty of fiber and protein--not something you'll find in many of the overprocessed, sugarloaded granola bars that crowd most grocery aisles.
