I have just finished my first loaf of Udi's whole grain bread---this is wheat free and gluten free---and it taste like i is a gluten bread. I had a COLD sandwich and anybody that has celiac disease knows that is impossible this is possible with this bread. It is great, and the taste is just OMG!!! GOOD!!!

I have also tried the white bead---just as good---it will be great to have a PB&J again, as most celiac's know our bread is great for stuffing or crumbs or the birds it is horrible stuff, but not this....this is real and I mean REAL bread, I cried at my first sandwich....it is a must try.

They have other-items also---the blueberry muffins, these are a little too big and-they do have that gluten free spring to them, but they are still tasty, the lemon muffin's have not tried them but they look so good, pizza crusts, they will be next on my list to try....and the cinnamon rolls, again I cried eating these----they taste like a bakery roll and they are huge, they are just great.

PattyTherre says "Tastes great and good for you too. Eat em up, yum!" about Thomas' Better Start High Fiber 100 Calories English Muffins

Quick View: My family calls me a fiber freak. And I am. I believe fiber fills you up and keeps you full and it aids in good digestive health. I don't get nearly enough fiber for the most part so I am always on the lookout for foods that boost my intake. Thomas' Better Start High Fiber 100 Calories English Muffins have 5 grams of fiber per muffin and taste great. They really are a better start to anyone's day!

My Take on Thomas' Better Start High Fiber 100 Calories English Muffins

These English muffins look exactly like regular ones. They come six to a package and need to be sliced into halves to toast. Each weighs 1.8 ounces which is just about what other English muffins weigh.

They taste exactly the same as English muffins at a restaurant or that you buy in a store with little or no fiber in them. At just 100 calories, 1 gram of fat, and 4 grams of protein, the hefty 5 grams of fiber in every muffin is an added benefit to these low cal, low fat muffins.

I toast them and add fat free cream...
...

SweetTeaInTN says "So yummy! I am addicted!" about Sister Schubert Dinner Yeast Rolls

Wow! I tried these Sister Schubert Dinner Yeast Rolls after another member reviewed them. She was very positive about this product and that encouraged me to try them as well. I am so,so, so glad that I did. This bag did not last a week in my house.

The rolls are so yummy and have a great bread consistency to them. The best feature - in my opinion - is the fact that these rolls go from frozen to warm, yummy and on your table in about 10 minutes. The convenience of the bag is a big plus as well. I did have trouble with the "resealable" part of the bag but I still found it convenient to just pull out two or three rolls as needed rather than using the entire package.

I would compare these to O'Charley's rolls. They aren't exactly the same but for a heat-n-eat at home product, they are pretty close.
...

CyndiA says "Like the smaller sized Grands Jr but not so much the sweet taste" about Grands Jr Honey Butter Biscuits

I usually make biscuits from scratch, but I do buy Grands canned biscuits from time to time. For canned biscuits, they've very good. But, they are large.

I was glad to see these Grands Jr biscuits which are less than half the size of the usual Grands biscuits. While the boys knock out the big biscuits, I've always found the Grands size awfully big for the bread part of the meal.

The texture is like the regular Grands with the Grands Jr Honey Butter being the flaky type. They kind of have layers and do flake apart if you pull. The Southern style is more like other biscuits but a bit fluffier. We all like either style, but I think the flaky comes out a bit ahead.

My youngest son loves honey, so I decided to try out the honey butter version of the Grands Jr. The rest of us like honey as well, but he's the really big honey fan.

The flavor on the Grands Jr honey biscuits is rather like honey. Probably as close as you'd get with canned. But, it is awfully sweet.

CyndiA says "Yay - Found Rainbo Rolls so can make little ham cheese snacks." about Rainbo Dinner Rolls in Foil Tray

Remember those little ham and cheese roll sandwiches that always got gobbled up at parties? Well, maybe they were not big all over, but they were super popular in the South.

For some reason, the grocery stores around don't carry the little Pepperidge Farm rolls now, so that knocked out these appetizers. Until . . . Rainbo started selling a similar type roll in the foil tray.

And, yes, it is Rainbo with no w and not Rainbow rolls. Bet that will confuse a lot of folks huh.

Rainbo rolls can just be heated up as bread, but I usually make the ham and cheese sandwiches. The whole tray of rolls are split like one giant sandwich. Then just put ham and cheese in there and pour butter with mustard and poppy seeds (though I used parsley this last time).

I'm glad I was able to find this brand making the tiny rolls. It had been ages since we had ham cheese appetizers, and they went over great at our family gathering this past weekend.

njchicaa says "Pillsbury Pizza Crust is good for a quick meal, but that's it." about Pillsbury Refrigerated Pizza Crust

Friday nights between October and March are pizza nights in this house. I always make homemade dough the old-fashioned way with yeast, hours for letting it rise, etc. Still, there are some evenings when I'm tired, I just want to relax, and I won't want to have to deal with making homemade dough. When I saw Pillsbury Pizza Crust available in the refrigerated cases next to the crescent rolls and hot dogs, I figured it was worth trying out.

This Pillsbury Thin Pizza Crust is a pre-made roll of refrigerated dough that you simply spread out onto a greased baking sheet. You are supposed to "pre-bake" it (just the dough on the baking sheet) for 5 minutes, remove it, add your sauce and toppings, and then bake the whole pizza for another 6-10 minutes.

I made our Pillsbury Thin Crust Pizza tonight with a thin layer of bruschetta instead of sauce, a blend of shredded mozzerella and sharp provolone, and some chopped fresh basil sprinkled on top of everything. It made a decent "quick" pizza,...
...

One of my favorite parts of any meal is the bread...I don't care whether it's a plain slice of white bread or a fancy homemade roll. I just love bread. But it takes so much time to make it from scratch that I can't be bothered! Once we found Sister Schubert's Dinner Yeast Rolls, I no longer felt like I needed to bake fresh rolls to keep on hand, which takes SO much work out of holiday and every-day meal preparation.

Sister Schubert Dinner Yeast Rolls come in a plastic re-sealable bag, so you can bake as many rolls as you need without thawing the rest out. Preparation is as simple as removing the rolls, baking them at 350 degrees for 5-10 minutes, buttering the tops, and serving! Five minutes in a pre-heated oven is usually plenty, so the bottoms don't get too dark.

These rolls are fabulous! I have not tasted any other frozen rolls that are so close to homemade! Preparation is simple, they get rave reviews every time I serve them, and they are priced well. For 10 rolls,...
...

Ok who don't love to eat bread? I refused to eat anything but white bread an my children pick up on the same bad habit so i had to change MY eating habits. To start the kids off eating wheat bread i started making grilled cheese with it but not just with cheese but with sliced tomatoes cut up inside the bread, the kids went crazy over it. Another trick was to toast the bread, so some reason they received it better if it was toasted. I gave them toasted peanut butter an jelly sandwiches, toasted baloney sandwiches an even toasted the bread for regular hot dog sandwiches. You would be surprised how quickly children adapt to change especially if its a fun good change. As for me, i now add wheat bread instead of white to all my recipes. For example...for Thanksgivings its wheat stuffing instead of white bread stuffing an it actually has a better taste to the dressing. Also i would add toasted wheat bread to meatloaf.
...

I don't usually serve bread or Pillsbury rolls with dinner, but every now and then I like to add something different to switch up our usual homemade meals. I bought a container of PIllsbury Breadsticks last week and finally got around to making them tonight to go along with the chicken parmesean and linguine that I made.

When you buy Pillsbury Breadsticks in the grocery store, you are getting a refrigerated roll of dough that you need to open and separate. Then you need to twist them from each end to produce a pretty shape and place them on a greased cookie sheet with the ends firmly pressed down. After 12-15 minutes in a 375 degree oven, you have lovely and golden-brown twisty breadsticks. I'd suggest only making a tube of these breadsticks if you have enough people to eat all twelve of them, because these things don't reheat well in an oven or microwave.

As a processed product, it goes without saying that it contains lots of fat, sodium, and preservatives. I've been really...
...

OK, I have tried and tried and cannot make a decent tasting biscuit to save my life~

Tried all the canned biscuits ~ yuck! Tried frozen ones, they were awful too until I found Pillsbury Grands frozen biscuits~ all of the varieties are great!

They cook in the oven in about 20 minutes and are light and fluffy, about 2 1/2" high and pull apart easily to put some butter or whatever you like in the middle. They are actually beautiful to look at~ And they just melt in your mouth~ Never dry or gummy like some biscuits can be~ And the price is incredibly affordable~

They come in 12 pack bags and 20 pack bags, I usually buy the 20 pack bags because I have to make at least 10 biscuits at a time for my family of 4~

We love them with jelly in the middle or honey poured over them, and they're good by themselves too~
...

I try to give my family the best foods for them but it is hard to give them food that they also LIKE! My kids are young and will eat wheat bread but don't really like the taste they love the taste of Wonder Whole Wheat White. I feel good about giving this bread to my family as it has whole grains but they think it is plain old white bread! They still have the nutrition they need but the taste they love. I love bread myself and do like the taste of this one as well as the nutrtional basics that it has. I would recommend this bread to moms trying to get theirs picky kids to eat healthy food without a fight. This bread is white to the eye but whole wheat to the body so everyone is happy especially me who knows how good it is for them. This product is especially good for grilled cheese or any sandwich. I find is stays fresh for a long time too without drying out and getting stale. It is also good for stuffing and bread crumbs!
...

Sara Lee soft & smooth is my family's favorite new white bread. It has a great texture, flavor, and doesn't tear easily like other breads. They use quality ingredients in this product and it is good for you. You can put peanut butter & jelly on this bread and it doesn't tear. This saves me alot of time and agravation that I previously had using other brands of bread. I used to only buy store brand breads that only lasted about 4 days after purchased, not wasting my money on those anymore.

Our local Walgreens store normally has this product 2 for $3 (about the same price as store brand bread). You get alot better quality & taste from Sara Lee Soft & smooth bread. This bread is still soft and tasty even 2 days after the expiration date on the package. Whereas, store brand breads are getting hard and crusty on or before the expiration. They saying "Nobody does it like sara lee" really is true. I have never found a bread as good as this.

It does not require toasting to eat it and unlike other breads I do not have to "choke" it down. Its like and the texture is similar to bread containing gluten. It does crumble easier, but thats normal with any gluten free bread. The mix comes with yeast, so you have to add eggs, milk, and butter. I use it in my bread machine on the express setting that takes 90 minutes vs 3 hrs to make a loaf, it always tastes great! It costs $6 per package, which is in line with other gluten free products.
...

I live alone. I also love rolls. Living alone makes it difficult to buy fresh rolls, because they usually come in packages that contain more rolls than I can eat in one sitting. That's why I love to buy frozen rolls. Frozen rolls offer the convenience of preparing only as many rolls as you need at one time, thereby eliminating waste. I normally buy Pillsbury frozen rolls, but when I went shopping the other day, there were none. That's when I saw Sister Schubert's face smiling at me. I decided to give Sister Schubert's Dinner Yeast Rolls a try. I'm really glad I did.

Sara Lee Soft and Smooth White Bread is a very delicious bread that my kids, my husband and I really enjoy eating. Each slice is a delight to eat. Yes, even the crust. My kids enjoy it.

I enjoy it most for making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Unlike other whitebread, I can spread the peanut butter, or almond butter or what ever kind of butter on a slice of this bread and it will not break or tear. The bread also does not stale very easily. It stays and tastes fresh for days.

I'm not at all surprised by the quality of this bread. Sara Lee tends to make very good and inexpensive products. I love Sara Lee's desserts and many of the other products. I only wish Sara Lee would take an environmental route and make this bread as well as many of their other products more eco-friendly and or organic.
...

Renee-33 says "Sara Lee is my most favored loaf of bread." about Sara Lee Sara Lee White Bread

I love white bread. I could eat white bread with just about any meal. Sara Lee has the best bread anyone can buy. You can buy it when it goes on sale and put it in the freezer. It is a little expensive. But I don't mind paying it because its so good. I have to tell you Bilo bread or Ingles or even Blooms bread has nothing on Sara Lee's bread. Sara Lee offers all kinds of different breads. They have wheat, white, and old fashioned bread. You know the bread with all the extra brown crust on the outside. I just thought that you guys would like to know how good Sara Lee's bread is. I'm sure they sell it in any grocery store. So next time you're on the bread isle, stop by and check out the variety of bread by Sara Lee. It is double the price of the store brand bread, but trust me it's good enough to pay the price. It's soft and it has a wonderful taste and smell. You should check it out for yourself.
...

this2shallpass19 says "Not the dry, dense muffins I expected them to be!" about Betty Crocker Fiber One Blueberry Muffin Mix

I really dislike baking things like cakes, cookies, muffins and breads, but when it's cold outside I do like to turn the oven on and bake something. That's where boxed mixes like Fiber One Blueberry Muffin Mix come in handy. No measuring flour or sugar and no mixing for forever. Plus, these have the added health benefit of extra fiber!

I have had below average results with other Fiber One products, so I had low expectations for these muffins. The Fiber One cereal I tried was disgusting, so I expected these muffins to be dry, hard and flavorless. They turned out to be anything but! To make these muffins all you need is two eggs, water and oil.

Fiber One Blueberry Muffins are moist and fluffy. You would never guess that they have 5 grams of fiber per muffin! They taste great and I am totally impressed that they aren't dry like I thought they would be. I guess when I imagined "high fiber", I thought of a dense bran muffin - these are nothing like that. They taste just...
...

RudiXeno says "Arnold Select Sandwich Thins: Great for taste and your waist!" about Arnold Select sandwich thins

America has a love affair with sandwiches. It makes no difference what you choose to put between two pieces of bread, it is a love affair I tell you.

The Problem

Bread is fattening. Whether you are counting calories or carbs, they both mount up quickly when we indulge in our love affair.

Although I have found both low-carb and low calorie breads they always leave something to be desired. Both tend to be soft and fluffy and lack what I'll refer to as "chew". There's usually very little substance to chew on. They also seem to lack any distinctive taste.

Arnold Select Sandwich Thins

Apparently, Arnold Bakeries saw an opportunity here and I for one am glad they did. They developed Arnold Select Sandwich Thins. Available in at least Multi-Grain and Whole Wheat (I haven't yet seen other varieties), Sandwich Thins are pre-sliced pita-like rolls of about 4 1/2" in diameter.

Each Sandwich Thin contains 100 calories, or about half that for regular bread slices. As far as Carbs go,...
...

rrockinrenee says "A good english muffin and source of fiber and protein" about Thomas' English Muffins

Even though these english muffins are kind of on the expensive side, I buy them when they go on sale and freeze them. By keeping them in the freezer and taking them out as you need to means you won't be throwing any out because they went bad. That is the only time I do buy them is when they are buy one get one free. There isn't much you can do with them so it's not like i need to buy them all the time, but, the wheat english muffins are a great source of fiber and protein where as the regular ones are not good for you.

I like to make breakfast sandwhiches with them and put a cooked egg on them after they are toasted with mustard and cheese and maybe some ham, sausage, or bacon. Or have breakfast for dinner sometime and use them up with that meal. Also, I tried on my grandson to toast the wheat (he ddint like the wheat with just butter) and make peanut butter and jelly and he actually ate it.
