kiserkristi says "Mrs. Butterworth's Pancake Mix is Delicious and Easy" about Mrs. Butterworth's Buttermilk complete Pancake & Waffle Mix

I decided to try Mrs. Butterworth's Pancake Mix because it was about the same price as other brands that I have previously tried. I like convenience when it comes to making breakfast, because usually I am very hungry and want to eat NOW! This mix is SUPER easy and fast to make, the pancakes turn out fluffy and delicious and they cook very fast and evenly. All you do is add water! How much easier could it get? So far this is my favorite mix other than Bisquick. You can also make waffles and crepes with this mix, and it includes easy to follow instructions for all 3 including pancakes. There seems to me to be no downside to this mix, it fits my lifestyle well and I enjoy the flavor and consistency of these pancakes! I use Hungry Jack syrup on them, I have not yet tried to top them off with Mrs. Butterworth's syrup (although that's my favorite and I'm sure it would be wonderful!) For the price I paid, I am extremely satisfied with the quality of this brand!
...

I usually always buy Duncan Hines German Chocolate Mix, however one time when I went to the store, they did not have the German Chocolate. I purchased another brand and made the cake for my family. They could tell the difference right away. Duncan Hines are so moist and taste so much better. I make a cake with the Dark Chocolate mix and add a can of cherry pie filling to the mix and eggs and stir, then bake same as regular cake. This is so good and it really takes so little time to put together. For frosting, I use a can of cherry pie filling and container of cool whip and this make a nice frosting, but not as heavy as regular frosting. You can use the Duncan Hines Angel Food Cake Mix and add a can of undrained crushed pineapple and make in 9X13 pan. Then frost with a drained can of pineapple and cool whip. This is very light and is accepted in the Weight Watchers program. There are so many things you can do with any Duncan Hines cake mixes. They have good receipes...
...

I want to talk to you about Pamela's pancake and baking mix. I have Celiac's disease and for years have tried every gluten free and wheat free product I could find on the market and after tasting what was the equivalent of saw dust for bread I gave up and just went without never thinking I would ever enjoy breads, muffins, cakes and pancakes ever again. I ran across Pamela's baking mixe's and baked goods on line one day and looked everwhere to find them but I finally did, I coudn't wait to try it but didnt really want to get my hopes up from all the let downs in the past with other products I had tried. This took me by surprise! It is so delicious the texture and the taste makes the most fantastic baked goods I have ever had. When I do bake with regulare flour for my family at the holidays they tell me to use Pamela's because they like that so much more now then wheat flour. IT has so much flavor and the texture is light and moist and fluffy. Absolutely the best product on...
...

The holidays coming soon and it's time to pull out those favorite recipes. I do a lot of home cooking and baking - I'm always running out of extracts; the one I use and rely on the most is McCormick PURE Vanilla EXTRACT.

I've used McCormick PURE Vanilla EXTRACT for years. Its pure, smooth taste of vanilla is a hit every time! I made the mistake of trying a store brand vanilla and it just didn't have the same consistency as McCormick PURE Vanilla EXTRACT. It was not as aromatic nor did it hold up in my Famous Christmas Sugar Cookie recipe. The family voted hands down that not using McCormick PURE Vanilla EXTRACT made a big difference. A mistake I won't make again!

The ingredients are simply vanilla bean extracts in water, alcohol (35%) and corn syrup. McCormick PURE Vanilla EXTRACT comes in sizes ranging from 1.00 ounce, 2.00 ounces, 4.00 ounces bottles. I find for the amount of baking I do the 4.00 ounce size bottle is more economical. And with the holidays...
...

TheBard says "Love The Rise, the Price, and the Taste" about Krusteaz Honey Cornbread & Muffin Mix

Nothing goes better with BBQ ribs and baked beans than freshly baked cornbread coated in rich, creamy butter. I sometimes make my own from scratch, sometimes whip up some Jiffy, but I recently discovered the 15oz. box of Krusteaz Honey Cornbread & Muffin Mix made with real honey.

My Viewpoint

The flavor of Krusteaz Honey Cornbread is not surprisingly, tasty. The honey flavor (honey powder is listed as an ingredient) is mild and not overpowering. The cornbread's texture is moist, not dry like cheaper brands, and almost cake-like. Of course I added my own ingredients to the mix: a teaspoon of nutmeg, and a hint of allspice.

Krusteaz Honey Cornbread is a simple cornbread mix making it easy to prepare. To make the basic recipe, add to the mix is 2/3 cups of milk, 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, and 1 Lg. egg. On the side and back of the box are two more recipes to spice up the cornbread and turn the mix into a full meal; Bacon & Cheddar Mini Corn Loaves anyone?

I highly recommend...
...

Reese's Peanut Butter Chips are great tasting when used with chocolate when baking cookies. I have several recipes that I use these in and you can't beat chocolate and Reese's Peanut Butter Chips together. These two flavors compliment each other. Reese's Peanut Butter Chips are always fresh tasting and enhance the flavor of any chocolate cookie. The peanut butter taste is always great tasting and does not taste artifical or too sweet. I actually love eating them out of the bag - they seem to disappear fast!
...

It's the weekend and in the Bard's household that usually means some sort of decadent high calorie, high fat desert pastry for Saturday morning breakfast! Sometimes I pick up something fresh from the local supermarket, or sometimes I pop something into the oven. Today, that something was a fresh batch of Pillsbury Grand's Flaky Supreme Cinnamon Rolls, made with "Cinnabon" cinnamon and cream cheese icing.

My Viewpoint

I am pleased with my choice for this weekend's breakfast pasty; these cinnamon buns are seriously flaky and delicious! I prepared the cinnamon buns per package instructions; sixteen minutes in the oven at 350 degrees and they were ready to emerge; browned, hot, moist, and yummy.

The package contains a small container of cream cheese icing, which is just enough to cover the (5) cinnamon buns.

I highly recommend Pillsbury Grands Flaky Supreme Cinnamon Rolls; for about $3.79 a can (in the dairy section) they are a bargain compared to the $3.99 I would have...
...

I have Bisquik Original Pancake and Baking Mix in my pantry at all times. It is a definate staple in my house as I use it for so many different things. Not only does my Bisquik Original Pancake and Baking Mix make great pancakes and waffles for breakfast but it also has many uses for delicious lunches, dinners and yes even desserts. I will use my mix to thicken sauces when needed. I will use my mix to make a cheesy meaty veggie pie and I will use my mix to make coffe cakes to name just a few uses for this pantry staple. There are always new and easy recipes on the box and each and every one wows when it is put on the table. Everyone thinks I have fussed all day when I bring these dishes to the table but in actuality when I use my Bisquik Original Pancake and Baking Mix these are some of the easiest and quickest recipes to execute. You can always season to taste this will take one recipe to three or four using the baking mix.
...

Pamela's Ultimate Baking & Pancake Mix is awesome! It doesn't make fluffy pancakes due to the density of gluten free flours/mixes. The pancakes have a great flavor and taste like REAL gluttenous pancakes! My gluten eating son could not tell the difference. I haven't tried to use the mix yet for baking, but will definately give it a shot in place of bisquick. The cost is normal for gluten free products which is always higher than foods containing gluten. I purchased the 24 oz package at the local grocery store for $5.99 and it was worth it for pancakes.
...

I like to buy Bisquick pancake mix in the big boxes because you can do alot with it.Not only can you make pancakes by adding just water but you can also make homemade biscuits by just adding milk and nothing else.the pancakes are fluffy and really good. The biscuits rise really well, they are take no time at all to make and bisquick is just really great stuff for the busy family or just the family that likes an occasional pancake.you can also make waffels too by adding some eggs and water or milk if you prefer. One of my favorite things to cook is chicken and cumplings with this stuff. You just add some in your pot of chicken with some milk until it forms little clumps and then you cook it and serve. This stuff is really good.Bisquick is affordable, not lumpy or all clumped up in the box and it mixes and blends good. You can do so many things with it and like I said if your someone who wants to let your kids make pancakes or biscuits then this is an ideal starter mix.Everyone loves bisquick biscuits....
...

this2shallpass19 says "Pillsbury Pie Crusts taste great and are SO easy to use!" about Pillsbury Pie Crusts

I had a serious craving for a homemade pot pie the other day, so the non-baker-that-loves-to-cook that I am went to the store and bought Pillsbury Pie Crusts. They were extremely inexpensive and time-saving since I don't even own a pastry cutter or rolling pin.

A package of Pillsbury Pie Crusts includes two pie crusts for a 9-inch pie. Each pie crust is rolled up so all you have to do is unroll them and they are ready to go. The package states that they are freezable for up to two months, which is great if you don't need to use both of the rolls in the package.

For my pot pies, I rolled out the crusts on a cutting board and used the bowls for the pot pie as a "cookie cutter" so that it fit my bowl perfectly. I poured my pot pie mixture into a bowl and placed my pie crust on top. Baked it in the oven for a while and out came a gorgeous pot pie with a golden, flaky crust on top. The crust is buttery and flaky and delicious. Not that I bake, but if I did, I would NEVER roll...
...

balvanzfamily says "the only flour you should buy!" about King Arthur Flour Bread Flour

I make just about everything from scratch. My bread, my rolls, my cakes, my cookies....the list goes on and on. I don't say that to prove anything, merely to show you how much I bake. It's my therapy. Counseling costs a small fortune, so I decided that if I couldn't control my life, I could control what is in my mixing bowl. For me, baking is therapy. Some people drink, I bake...which explains my hips.

First of all, if you're going to go to all the trouble to bake from scratch, why wouldn't you use the BEST ingredients? KAF is a bit pricier, but let me tell you, it's so worth it. It bakes up perfectly every time. If ever you encounter a problem, you get to call the superb ladies on the KAF customer service line. I swear those ladies know everything. They're like My Momma.

The King Arthur bread flour is the best bet for your money. It's a sure thing. No doubt. No guess work. It's HIGH quality. Not to mention, have you been on their website? They have OODLES of tried and true recipes!

But...
...
