For most of my life, I have been a fan of Lawry's Seasoned Salt and I must say that I still think it is delicious. I may never give up on it totally but recently I have found a rival for my affections -- Tastefully Simple All Natural Seasoned Salt. This product is very much like Lawry's signature product and has almost exactly the same nutritional values -- 380 mg. sodium per 1/4 tsp -- but it also has a character all its own perhaps because it contains sea salt, along with red and green peppers (in addition to the garlic, onions, spices, paprika and other good things found in Lawry's as well).

MY VIEWPOINT:

Today I tried Tastefully Simple All Natural Seasoned Salt with a little cottage cheese and enjoyed it very much. This is more than just a knock-off of Lawry's famous seasoning. I probably will never totally give up on my first love but definitely find myself being seduced by Tastefully Simple's entry into the seasoned salt race. After being diognosed with diebetes a year ago, I've had a very hard time trying to find something to satisfy my sweet tooth. There are so many sugar-free candies and chocolates on the market these days, yet most of then arent any good. Many of the sugar-free chocolates I've tried have little or no taste. I didn't realize what I was missing until I tried Dove sugar-free chocolates. These chocolates are so good. You can put Dove's sugar-free chocolates side by side a chocolate that is filled with unwanted sugars and it's impossible to taste the difference. Dode sugar-free chcolates are so smooth and creamy and verry rich. I Every time I eat one I feel guilty because I feel something this rich and sweet can't be sugar-free. Even if I weren't a diebetic, I would still purchase Dove sugar-free chocolates because they taste that good. I've told many of my diebetic friends about these wonderful chicolates and they all love them as much as I do.

If you have not had a chance to taste STARBUCKS new Instant Coffee, you are missing out on a taste sensation!

Just about a month ago Starbucks unveiled the latest invention from this coffee giant. They cal it "VIA". I am sure that many of you understand the common translation of Via, but the the literal translation from the Latin, is "by way of". So this new item is actually Instant Coffee "by way of" Starbucks. That statement says it all.

My husband lived for a while in Washington State, so Coffee having a great bold taste is important to him. When I first tried this item, I couldn't believe it was instant coffee, from the second the boiling water hits the "finely ground to dust coffee beans" (no this is not your regular freeze dried coffee, nor does it come in a jar, but in tightly sealed one serving pouches and costs a bit more than $1 a cup), the aroma rises up and you would swear fresh ground coffee was brewing!

The real test, however, was on my husband who will never even touch...

Tastefully Simple Cheesy Chive Warm Dip Mix is one of the many dips that Tastefully Simple offers, but only a couple of those dips are "Warm Dips". Which means you heat them in the microwave and serve them warm.

Warm the Oven Warm Dip Mix used to be my favorite Warm Dip, but Cheesy Chive is quickly taking first place. I love it because it is so easy to make and because it is delicious! It has a great, creamy cheese flavor with a hint of mild chive in the background.

To make this dip, simply add the dip mix to 8 ounces of cream cheese and a couple tablespoons of shredded cheddar cheese. Heat in the microwave until hot. When you take Tastefully Simple Cheesy Chive Warm Dip Mix out of the microwave, it will be all melted and gooey! It has to be hot though, if you serve it at room temperature, you don't get the wonderful flavors of cheese and chives as strongly.

When I make this dip, I like to serve it with tortilla chips, but I look forward to trying it how a customer of mine...

I am always wanting to try out new things that may be a little bit simpilar when it comes to making great and worry free treats and deserts for my family so when I stumbled across this one in the supermarket I thought that I would give it a try just to see if it lived up to the reputation.I bought an Eagle Brand Decadent Fudge Desert Kit.It conatined everything that I was going to need to make on pound of fudge.The walnuts,condensed milk,vanilla extract and the mini chocolate chips along with a little paper tray for your refridgerator were included.I opened it up and mixed everything together except the walnuts because we are not nut fans here and I headed over to my microwave and set it on one minute just as it implied.I have a 1100 watt microwave by the way.I took it out and it looked almost all the way melted some small chips,actaully quite a few but when you started stirring it all around and adding the vanilla extraxt it all melted and blended really well.The you pour it into the little...

I won this chocolate in an online giveaway. It was so beautiful I didn't want to eat it right away. I should have just kept it to admire. Once I tasted it my opinion of it changed. It's not terrible, but it looks better than it tastes. Aequare fine chocolate is not worth the price they charge for it, in my opinion. I tried the 6 pc box and the 70% dark orange bar. While the presentation of the 6 pc impressed me, as did the handmade designs on each chocolate, the taste left a lot to be desired. The bar had nothing going for it. The package was cheap cardboard and it looked and tasted like your average drug store dark chocolate bar.

I am not a huge fan of cheese, but I really love this Alouette cheese because it is great for appetizers and sandwiches and comes in great flavors. My favorite variety was the spreadable cheese because it tastes so good on bread or crackers, and can make a great dip too. I loved the Light flavors, the garlic and herbs and the cucumber dill because it went perfect with vegetable sandwiches and was a great appetizer to serve at parties with carrots and celery. The sweet Berries and Cream variety was a great dessert topping, and was so good on bagels in the morning. The cheese also comes in Brie form which is great for parties and sandwiches. The plain variety has a lot of flavor, but I really loved the herb flavor and the garlic and herbs baby brie. The crumbled cheese comes in some great varieties like feta and goat cheese which are perfect for salads. This cheese is high quality with a lot of flavor and tastes great.

I tasted these for the first time one evening when one of our church ladies brought a basketful of assorted Lindor truffles. They were wrapped in crinkly colored paper, with gold foil and looked very expensive.

So I grabbed up a couple flavors to try, unwrapped the foiling to find a smooth round chocolate ball. Nothing that impressive right?

I bit into the chocolate confection and nearly swooned! It was like heaven on my tongue! The silkiest, creamiest, most flavorful chocolate I had ever tasted in one little milk chocolate ball. To try to find words to describe a mini dessert wrapped in coloful foil that taste like it shouldn't even be allowed on this earth, because it taste as though it were an angels' kiss-it's nearly impossible!

The Lindt Lindor Truffles were created in 1967 and still invigorates tastebuds yet today. It is said that the name "Lindor" sums up the meaning of indulgence, passion, decadence., so we have the word "Lindt" and the French word for "or" is Gold, resulting in...

Since I am an independent Tastefully Simple consultant, I need to try all the products in my catalogs. There are two catalogs a year, a Spring/Summer and a Fall/Winter. The catalog for Fall/Winter started recently, so I had a lot of food to try. One of those items was Tastefully Simple Oven-Baked Mac & Cheese. To be perfectly honest, I had low expectations for this product - afterall, it does come out of a box, but....you would never be able to tell!

I have made this product three times and all three times, I have never followed the directions on the box. Plain mac & cheese out of a box sounds boring, so I added my own touch and the result is best described as what my husband said: "One of the best mac & cheeses that I've ever had". That's not because I sell it either! It really is that good.

I must confess (hiding in the utility room the kitchen with powdered sugar ALL over my face, shirt and jeans)... the FedEx box just arrived with my first order of 4 boxes new Triple Powdered Low Fat Winter Donuts - I peaked inside of 1 box - AND THEN ATE AN ENTIRE BOX including spooning ALL the excess powdered sugar off the bottom!!!
These are the BEST ever - now if only you could invent a "1-donut-dispenserw/lock" so this wouldn't happen again <giggling with powdered sugar in the air>. See what your personal customer service has created????

I tried these chocolates for the first time last Christmas. They were on the clearance rack of left over Christmas candy. What a bargin! They are the best ever. I have tried the ones in the red wrapper. Those are the best ones. The best. They are so creamy and delicate. And the chocolate on the inside is a little piece of heaven. I had to hide them because the boyfriend likes them too! I have tried the one in the blue bag and they are good too and I don't like dark chocolate. I buy them when ever I need a little pleasure after a hard day.

I wasn't happy with this product, luckily it was on sale and i had a coupon which my store doubles. It reminded me more of Campbell's tomato soup rather that a vodka sauce. It was thick, but not creamy. There were bits or onion or garlic? and maybe some bits of basil and oregano added but it wasn't distinctive. the color was darker than pinkish, but still not restaurtant quality. It is probably better and not much harder to add cream and vodka to your own sauce for better results than this product.

Again I was disappointed with this silver palate product, it was not much better than tomato soup, to its credit there was not any high frutouse corn syrup added or much other artificial stuff added.

As a little girl I lived over a bakery and confectionery store in Southern Germany. Everyday my family would wake up to the smell of fresh baked bread- and then, as if by magic, a bag of fresh brochen appeared at our door. Heaven!

The bakery was always busy as housefraus stopped by to purchase bread for the day. Baskets of braided bread, rolls, loaves of rye and pumpernickel decorated the glass shelves under and behind the counter. During the holidays breads were pushed together to make room for the array of scrumptious chocolate creations. Easter bunnies in the spring and St. Nicolas and Christmas Trees during December's chilly days. These chocolates were not hollow nor were they made of the waxy chocolate like those in the States. These chocolates were solid and made of the most delicious chocolate in the world. It was creamy, smooth and melted in my mouth for a childhood memory that would last a lifetime.

If you enjoy good chocolate, try using Ghiradelli's premium baking chips, 60% cacao, instead of other semi- or bittersweet baking chocolate. It's great in chocolate chip cookies and delicious as hot chocolate - just add to hot water until mixture is thick & chocolatey, poor in a dab of heavy cream (but don't stir), and enjoy! It's a wonderful, chocolately treat that doesn't completely destroy your diet!

Another great way to use this chocolate is in an easy-to-make mousse: melt one cup (6 oz) of chocolate with 1/4 cup heavy cream in a double boiler, being careful to melt slowly. Whip 3/4 cup heavy cream separately. Fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream until fully mixed. It may be a bit soupy at first, but it will firm up once it's chilled (although it's pretty good soupy, too). This is a very easy yet delicious & elegant dessert. I serve it for company in a chocolate cup, which makes it even more special.
