Recently, I had to make a claim due to an uninsured motorist hitting me.  My car was repairable, was in garage-kept condition, and I wanted it repaired but Allstate forced me to total my car because they did not want to pay the money to repair it.  Instead they gave me a riduculously low totaled amount and took my car as salvage knowing it would bring a good salvage value. Next they have tried to go back and charge the uninsured motorist, who was driving an unregistered car, while speeding and driving at night with non-working headlights for the amount they have paid me.  The uninsured motorist had not even put a claim in against Allstate because he knew the auto he was driving was not even legal to be on the road.  Now, they have ended up paying the uninsured driver 70% of his...
