I must commend the customer service team for helping me make sense of a highly unusual promotional problem. I had receieved a letter in the mail congratulating me on the receipt of my new Sears MasterCard, and inviting me to join their Sears Choice Rewards program. I was also offered 500 points if I were to use the card within the next two days (by 10/31/09)..plus an extra 1000 points for using the card only twice more before December 31. To make a long story short, the customer service team informed me that my new Sears MasterCard was on its way, and that it would replace my old Sears/K-Mart card. I was then told that if I went to either Sears or K-Mart within the next two days and made any purchase charged to my old Sears/K-Mart card, that it would qualify toward my receiving the promised 500 points. Finally, I was encouraged to call back and let the Sears Choice Rewrds folks know when my new MasterCard arrived, so that they could make sure that the points would be properly...
...

I've had this card for years, it changes slightly but they take care of all that. You are covered in case of fraud (experienced this issue and it was all fine). Best of all, it accumulates points very quickly and you can use the points toward your next bill, so great for saving money because you really saved the money instead of spending it on something you normally wouldn't have bought. this is the best card I've ever had. No fooling. You can also use the points for other things, like airline miles and gift cards and it translates at the same dollar value.
...

I love love love Kohls! As a young teen in highschool my favorite store was JCPenny, but as Kohls started showing up in our area I began to fall in love! At Kohls I can find clothes and accessories for me, my husband, and my son. Not to mention gifts for all my family and friends. Their sales are far better than any other department store in our area. The best way to shop there is by getting a Kohls credit card and using it during their scratch off sales. I have a Kohls charge card with them and so always qualify for the extra discounts.Even if you don't want to have a credit card, it's worth it to get one and receive the discounts. As a stay at home mom I love being able to shop for wedding and baby showers when my friends register there. It means I can get a great gift for an even greater price! I definately recomend this store to all of my friends and family. We love to post our recent buys and how much money we saved on facebook.
...

I've been an American Express cardholder since 2004. I have the basic, no-frills Green Card, which costs me $39 annually, but I'm completely happy paying for it. I earn 1 Membership Rewards point per dollar spent on most purchases, but sometimes American Express runs promotions that can earn me up to 10 points per dollar. The great thing about these points is that you can use them for a variety of things. Over the years, I've gotten Longhorn Steakhouse gift cards, Delta SkyMiles, a $100 Holiday Inn waiver, and several other rewards with Membership Rewards. There aren't any blackout dates for using them on travel, and if you want to pay for part of a ticket you book through American Express with cash and part with reward points, you can. Their program is so flexible!

Their customer service is also great. I've been contacted several times about potential fraudulent activity, and I've never had to pay any of the fraudulent charges (I live in a big college town, and credit card number theft...
...

I got this card to use on a European vacation to get cash as I needed it. I thought I understood the terms and conditions, but I was wrong. I was charged $10 every time I got a "cash advance" from an ATM machine. Not only that, I was charged 24% becase the "cash advance" was unpaid until the due date. What I mean by that is that even though I paid the amount owed in full on the due date, I was still charged a finance charge because there was a cash advance on the account in the time period.

The card was advertised as having an introductory 0% finance charge for the first few months. After talking with a rather snippy customer service representative, I immediately cancelled the card.

Ever since starting with Amazon Visa I've never been disappointed. We've had many an opportunity to get other credit cards with amazing offers, but because of the outstanding service we've received, I will never charge on another card, unless something really dramatic transpires. We use Amazon Visa only. My husband has his account and I have mine. I happen to like to use mine because of the Amazon points that I rack up when buying online. I do a tremendous amount of online buying due to being disabled. We do pay off our credit cards off every month, after letting them get out of control a number of years ago. We learned our lesson. The thing that I appreciate the most is that Amazon Visa is so true blue to us. We've had a number of times when companies have charged on our accounts without authorization. An example would be a magazine, once put on a credit card, and the magazine is not what I hoped it would be. The next year rolls around and I don't want it. Having my CC # they assume that......

I have a few different credit cards. Discover is the one I use the most. All of my cards earn points for something. But with Discover I earn cash back. Every quarter they have special categories that you earn an extra 5% cash back on. For example this quarter it includes restaurants, movie theaters, and grocery stores. You earn the extra 5% on top on the regular cash back. Also if you shop online thru the Discover webiste you will earn extra cash back on those purchases as well. I pay my balance every month so I am not familiar with the interest rates. You can use your cash back bonus in increments of $20. You can get a check, have it applied to your account, or use it for giftcards to different stores and restaurants.. If you use it for giftcards you usually get a giftcard for more than your amount. (Like using $20 for a $25 giftcard) My cash back bonus paid for my computer last year.

A few years ago I had an issue with a product that I had purchased and returned. ...
...

I recently became an American Express Hilton HHonors card member. I received an offer in the mail one day to receive up to 60,000+ hilton honor points. This caught my eye since I love Hilton hotels especially Hampton Inns. So, after reading the offer and the fine print I immediately signed up. I use this card for all my basic purchases. You get 6 points for every dollar you spend on most gas and grocery purchases. Plus you get 3 points for every dollar spent on other purchases. This is a great way to earn free hotel stays. As long as you don't carry a balance, you really are getting a great deal....

I shop Amazon a lot, thought Amazon card is good to have. Recently, I had a terrible experience with those customer services people and their so called supervisers. All of them had a bad tone and attitude when I talk about my late fee. I had a previous statement balance (due 9/04/09) $230, I paid 2 days before my due date with $1397, which was my next statement due balance. I thought I don't have to worry the payment for the next due date. But on Oct. 4th, when I logon my account, I saw a charge $28 made on 9/05/09 was shown on the Oct. due statement, I paid it as I saw it on Oct. 4th. The following month Statement showed that I had $39 late fee and $24 finance fee because I paid the $28 late on Oct 4th cut off time. My current bill is due 11/01/09 with balance $2987 which most the payment was for the kid college payment. I don't have to borrow any money from the bank, I paid the $2987 on time. and talked to the chase customer services for the late fee, told them I didn't...
...

I first received this card in 2006 -- one year after I started college. I'm broke and of course love free stuff. Someone was on campus handing out coupons for free sub sandwiches. Who wouldn't go get one? Well, to use the coupon you had to sign up for a Citi mtvU credit card. I figured since I had no credit history or co-signer, I wouldn't even be approved. I was wrong and received the card -- which had a $3000 limit (that's ridiculous) -- and just started charging everything to it. I had no job and no knowledge of anything to do with credit cards.

I always paid it on time and they would raise the credit limit every 6 months. Eventually it was up to $6500. At that point I contacted them and asked them not to increase it anymore and to lower the limit. That's when my interest rate started increasing every 6 months instead. It went from 11% to 19% in a year and a half.

This should have been illegal for them to do. Of course they got what they wanted -- uneducated college students who would......

How can i start? The entrada visa credit card is a great way to rebuild or build credit. I saw this card advertised on a website and thought i would try it out. Its good. It is a real credit card unsecured. Not only is it unsecured, you can have your paycheck direct deposited to your card. And after two consecutive direct deposits you will receive a fifty dollar credit to your account. The card has a couple of different ways to use it. You can shift your money you get from your deposit to your credit account so that way you can have money to use as a credit card. It does report to the credit bureaus, so you can get positive points hopefully to your credit score and hope it will help you now or later. Even ifit helps out improving 20 points, 20 points is 20 points. help you out on getting a loan or a unsecured card later with a credit limit set for you later. So i hope this will help some people out on the ifo and you can look this card up on line. i recommend you to. thanks.
...

How much is this laptop? Do anyone feel it is worth it? I am looking for a new laptop, and this one looks cute. I have a toshiba, and it works. I want a computer that will look cute just like me. Everyday a shepard sent his son to take their few sheep out to pasture. We cant afford to lose even one. A young mouse begged his mother to let his first look at the world outside the mouse hole. The little mouse had not been gone five minutes when he saw me she waved her long tail as if she were glad to see me. Fear is a greater motivator. Self-esteem and self-understanding are two of the most important components of your persoanl make-up! A student can be brilliant in terms of mental disabilities, but may perform at a very low capacity because of unhealthy self-esteem. If you let other people rule your life, you will always have unhealthy self-esteem. You will feel helpless and out of control as long as someone else has power over your life....

Ok...I am not sure if idiots are the only people who steal my card or if Wells Fargo is just that good. I have never had a fraudulent charge come up on my card that I have had to call in and report. AND I love their rewards program. I get 1% back in cash when I reach a certain limit. I am not a big spender, but we had some large purchases coming up so we signed up for the rewards and made bank!
PirateJenny says "Great rewards but terrible customer service policies." about Chase - Amazon.com Visa

I had the Amazon.com VISA from Chase for 5 years and paid every single payment on time. Then I submitted one payment online 45 minutes late. They charged me a $39 late fee plus finance charges on the balance. I called and asked if they could waive the fee based on my excellent standing, excellent credit, and the 8 other accounts (including a mortgage) that I have with Chase. They refused to budge an inch. Bottom line: Customer loyalty means nothing to them. I canceled the card immediately & will find one with better policies.
...

niyazyasir says "Good credit card to earn nice cash back" about Chase - freedom chase card visa

I wont say I did not have any issues at all.
Let me talk about the pros first.
This has lot of rewards and I got a 100 dollars check for signing up this card. but u need to have a good credit for this card i guess. because my freind who came recently from india was rejected and not given the card. Also has lot of cash back options. If you accumulate 200 dollars in points then u can redeem it for 250 dolars. But this offer is suddenly stoped and I could not claim 250 dollars in my recent claim.
As i said earlier there is no annual fee. Also has good online features and you can see statement for past three years.

I really do not see any cons. Once that when I did not pay with in grace peroid they have charged me 29.99 dollars. actually I missed only 1 dollar.
I went back to india and some automatic payment of 1 dollar cost me 29.99. I called the...
...
