crayola color is a great gift for kids this christmas. It is safe for ages four and up. It is not messy even though it is a paint, it glows and only shows the color on the crayola paper you buy with it. just about anything of crayola would be a great gift for children. It gives you something fun to do with your child, or other relative or a child you know of. in most stores it is about twenty dollars. and it will keep children occupied for hours i am sure of it. their are many other crayola products and paint products, but this one happens to be my favorite. mostly because i got to do it with my friends nephew charlie. We had a blast painting together. so while you are making a christmas dinner juggling everything at once even the night before christmas, this is a great gift for your children to stay distracted and satisfied. Also i would reccomend any other crayola item as a gift for a child because they have a great quality.
...

Moxie Girlz Art-Titude Doll - Sophina

Back in early September I gave a Moxie Girlz doll (Avery) to my 5 year old niece as a birthday present, she absolutely loves and plays with it all the time. Christmas is at our heels so I've added Sophina to the gift mix.

Moxie Girlz are very cute and come with adorable accessories that will vary by doll. Sophina comes with a cool pink bike and a fun fashion dress. She has beautiful long hair that every little girl will love to brush. Doll measures approx. 12.6 inches tall, she has big bright eyes and and a really cute face. These kind of remind me of Bratz dolls (which, in my opinion were not cute at all) but are more age appropriate and made better.

I know my niece will love to get this as a Christmas gift, If I were 5 I know I would. I have a feeling this is the beginning of what is sure to be a growing collection. They're also very reasonably priced at around $20.00 but have been on sale at many store locations and online for around $15.00...
...

amandalacey says "I love em as much as my son" about Thomas & Friends Die Cast Trains

The magnetic Thomas the train diecast take along toys are absolutely amazing. They have over two hundred in the collection. For the big collector you can look up a checklist, and try to get them all. They are around the price range of five dollars all the way up to sets that are around twenty dollars. They have magnets on both the front, and the back of the train so that you can connect as many as you would like. They also are made of diecast metal, so they are very durable. They are the perfect size for little ones to pick up and take on the go. The trains also have playsets that store away your trains, and become a travel toy. When you are home though, you can expand the playset, and make a very cool train layout. Some of the trains come with a map of sodor city that you can copy for your Thomas and friends take along trains. They come in all your childrens favorite charecters, such as Percy,James, Edward, Gordan, and many many more.

You can find them at target and toys r us

We have had the Leapster in our home for about three years now and WOW I love it! My eight year old and twin five year old boys all play with it. There are many, many educational and action cartridges that you can purchase for it. It has kept my boys entertained for hours on end. As well as broadened their learning process. It is also a very durable toy. You can also purchase a charger seperate which I would highly recommened because your child is going to love it and will play with it for hours! This is also a toy that you can take anywhere, car , Dr. Offices , realitives homes, etc. so your child will always have something to do and not get bored....

carolscookie says "Zhu Zhu Pets the best new toy of the year!" about Mattel zhu zhu pets

When I first saw these Zhu Zhu hamsters, I was so excited. Like many people in my age group (42) these types of toys are just amazing to me. The closest we ever came to these were pull string dolls that spoke. My mom, who was a stay at home mom,who kept a spotless house, felt as did my father, that any animal that was not a cat,dog or fish, did not fall under the category of "pet" material.

I did have a wonderful dog, but always wanted a sweet little hamster to hold and cuddle. What I did have was a metal painted mouse with wheels that I would put in a a small bingo ball cage. I know pretty lame huh?

I did wonder if the advertisement's for the Zhu Zhu pets, were more hype than truth. So, back in September when they were first out, and you could still buy them at the store without standing in a line with other hopeful parents, I purchased 2 of these adorable hamsters. One for me and one for my daughter.

I am pleased to say that these interactive hamsters "live" up to their descriptions....
...

My son loves this toy! This is a great educational toy, which helps kids to learn numbers, colors, shapes and a lot more! This toy is a great help to me, because when my son is playing with it, I CAN do all my home chores! When I got this toy, I thought that it was probably a little early for my 3 year-old son, but in less than a week he became quite skilled in playing! I was impressed! He loves this toy so much that refuses to go to bed without it, and before he falls asleep he keeps playing with it. Though it may seem expensive, but it is worth EVERY PENNY! Besides it is possible to buy additional games with diffrent levels of difficulty and as the kid grows, different skills will be developed and your kid will never be bored! It is the BEST toy to take with you if you are travelling together with the kid. It is small, compact, portable and will keep the child busy. I was happy that I had this toy during our 10 hour flight. I would definitely recommend parents to buy this toy!
...

Ok, when I was pregnant, I read a lot of reviews about the playskool gloworm. I thought it was really creepy and scary looking. I mean, imagine that head being the same size as yours and it lights up and sings to you. *bleh* However, I didn't know what I was doing and assumed the 500+ reviews I read on it must be right.

So, here I am, 2 years later, and I have an 18 month old and I am joining the pack. The Gloworm is awesome. My daughter loves it! We moved recently and had to put a lot of her toys in storage for a couple months while we lived with family. Now we are in our own 2 bedroom apartment. When we brought her box of toys into her room, she quickly fished out the gloworm and laid on her floor for 20 minutes listening to the music.

We have been working on getting her to sleep all night in her own crib. We got her a stuffed dog that she affectionately calls Mr. B. Mr. B helped, but once we put the creepy gloworm into the crib, she was finally able to sleep through...
...

This is a strange little "toy" that was given to me. Not sure why, but I think my friend mumbled something about using it when talking to her husband. I'm sure she was joking. I think it was something she had finished with and she just wanted to give it to me.

Is there someone in your life who lies to you? Have you ever wished you had a lie detector to check if someone was really telling you the truth? Well, now you can.

This hand-held lie detector measure voice stress to separate fact from a lie (or a FIB)!

As the apparent lies are told, the "demon" (Pinocchio-style) icon on the LCD screen grows a Pinocchio-style nose and even grows horns like a devil.

There are 9 levels of voice probability. The way a lie shows up is with the horns and nose, as stated above. They are broken down as follows:

Level 1: high probability of truth (very calm voice)
Level 2: Outsmart
Level 3: Excitement
Lever 4: Subject is not sure
Level 5: High Excited
Level 6: Avoidance
Level 7: Extreme Excitement...
...

My son loves trains of all sorts. He has a lot of Thomas stuff but he certainly does not mind any other trains or train related items that come his way. There is a little train and hobby shop at nearby city that we go to on occasion when ever we go to that city for something he just has to go in the train and hobby store there. The last time we were there was over the summer and he saw the Maxim Wooden Signal Tower there, he just about went nuts. It didn't cost any more than a regular Thomas Train so I decided to go ahead and get it for him. I am not sure why he went so crazy there must have been a signal tower in one of the Thomas movies he watched.

The Maxim Wooden Signal tower is made of good solid wood. The wood all around is about a half an inch in thickness. It has flat triangle roof that is grey and painted to look like roofing shingles. There is a little red house like place that is where the signal worker works; it kind of looks like a little house on the top. ...
...

If you've watched the entire six-Episode Star Wars saga by George Lucas, you've probably noticed that the writer-director likes to use certain storytelling devices over and over again, like variations of a musical theme. The "repetition" of ideas ranges from placing both Anakin Skywalker and his son Luke in nearly identical situations, the use by various characters of the line I have a bad feeling about this, all the way to the "secret identity" motif in which one character ("Ben" Kenobi, Senator Palpatine, and even Yoda) is first introduced in one guise but is then revealed to be someone else.

Of course, savvy audiences knew in 1999 (as Qui-Gon Jinn certainly does in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace) that "Padme Naberrie," Queen Amidala's loyal and spirited handmaiden, is really the Queen in disguise

Ditching the elaborate and elegant robes and makeup of the throne room on Naboo and elsewhere, "Padme" is seen in The Phantom Menace wearing three basic outfits: the orange-red hooded...
...

Due to my 5 year olds passion for Thomas trains I think we will end up owning just about every single Thomas Toy there could possibly be. He has loved Thomas trains since the moment he could talk, Thomas was one of his first words.

When it comes to Thomas Trains most people don't realize There are a few different types of Thomas and Friends train toys. There are the wooden magnetic, the die cast magnetic, motorized remote trains and motorized with batteries. The Trackmaster toys are the motorized toys with batteries. They will work on the Trackmaster tracks and the magnetic die cast tracks which are all plastic and connect together and they also work the the remote controlled train tracks. They do not work so well on the wooden tracks.

One of my son's favorite characters from the Thomas series is Salty the train. So when I saw the motorized version with track on sale for a really good price I snapped it up.

Darth Vader (Lightsaber Attack - The Figure:

Coinciding with the release of George Lucas' Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith in 2005, Hasbro released a wave of 3.75-inch scale action figures featuring characters from the movie as part of the company's revamped Star Wars collection of figures, vehicles, and playsets.

This variant of the oft re-released Vader action figure is the 11th in the Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith collection, which includes such familiar characters as Vader's alter ego Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, R2-D2, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Emperor Palpatine.

It's also an unusual variation on the theme of Vader, as it were, because its more of an after the movie incarnation of everyone's Sith Lord. After all, during most of Episode III we see "Vader" before he becomes, in writer-director Lucas' own words, "the Man in the Suit." And even then, we don't get to see him wield his Sith-red lightsaber or go after any Jedi who survived Order 66; when we last see Lord Vader,...
...

In Star Wars fandom, as in any fan community with millions of members, there are several constituencies that have distinct and often diametrically opposite views on the space-fantasy saga created by George Lucas in the 1970s as "mythology for the modern era."

There are, of course, the Star Wars Generation '77 fans, those who were there when 20th Century Fox first released Star Wars (also known as Star Wars - Episode IV: A New Hope) and transformed Lucas' galactic fairy tale from a fun B-movie into a cultural "Force" to be reckoned with.

Then there are the younger Classic Trilogy fans who saw the first three films mostly on home video and as the Special Edition re-release in 1997. Fanatically loyal to the original pre-1997 Classic Trilogy movies, these tend to be critical of Lucas' newer Star Wars projects and the most vocal foes of....

The leapster has so much to offer for anyone at any age, with a wide range of games it can be a favorite for anyone. The small compact design works great for travel and dosen't take up alot of room for those that don't have alot of storage space. The hand held system itself has help up very well and is very kid friendly and easy for them to use. The one downfall is the amount of batteries that the leapster goes through. If my son has been playing it for a couple days it will kill the batteries pretty quick. So if your going on vacation make sure and bring extra batteries, plus it takes alot of batteries so be prepared when changing them. In additon the games that are offered for the leapster is great. They have all the new titles that kids are looking for and keeping with the in trend of things. In addition it offers a great educational value for the kids, as they learn why they play and they don't even knwo that they are learding.
...

Fardreamer says "Crowd Control version of Stormtrooper figure is way cool!" about Hasbro Star Wars - The Power of the Force: Crowd Control Stormtrooper (Deluxe Figure)

When Kenner Toys first introduced the 3.75-inch scale Star Wars action figures in 1978, one of the first 12 figures was the Imperial Stormtrooper, the fearsome shock soldier of the evil Galactic Empire.

Though by the standards of the day the original Stormtrooper figure was nicely designed and sculpted, it had several weak points.

First, it had very limited mobility. It only had articulation points (or joints) at the shoulders and hips, which meant that it and its brother Stormtroopers couldn't really be posed realistically unless all you wanted to do with them was having them stand at attention behind Darth Vader or the figure alternatively known as Imperial Death Squad Commander or Star Destroyer Commander. The figure's lack of a neck joint (which was a common design element in Imperial character figures during the time Kenner produced Star Wars figures) also prevented kids or collectors from being able to turn the Stormtrooper's head to make him look natural.

Kenner did produce...
...

LisaCarey says "To the stars and beyond floor puzzle " about Solar System Floor (48 pc) Melissa and Doug

My daughters love floor puzzles and Melissa and Doug puzzles and toys always seem to be quality items, so when we got the opportunity to play with the Solar System Floor (48 pc) Melissa and Doug Puzzle we were thrilled.

The Solar System Floor (48 pc) Melissa and Doug Puzzle when assembled ends up being 2ft by 3ft big. The puzzle pieces, while cardboard are thicker than many other cardboard puzzles and hold up well to "wear and tear" of children playing with and putting this puzzle together over and over again. The colors are brilliant, the sun's yellow stands out boldly and each of the planets (and moon) are beautifully detailed, even down to the rings. The Solar System Floor (48 pc) Melissa and Doug Puzzle is also easy to wipe off and keep clean.

While I like the colors, durability and quality of the Solar System Floor (48 pc) Melissa and Doug Puzzle there are a few problems. It is a large puzzle and has no carry case, bag or container to store it in. Also, there doesn't appear...
...

Fardreamer says "Shmi Skywalker: Even Darth Vader had a mom once......" about Star Wars: Power Of The Jedi Shmi Skywalker Action Figure

Although the 1999-2005 Star Wars Prequel Trilogy (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith) will likely never be as beloved as the original Classic Trilogy by most fans, they do serve their intended purpose - to fully explain that Darth Vader, one of filmdom's greatest villains of all time, wasn't so much the personification of evil most viewers thought he was, but that he was a tragic figure who made poor choices despite his good intentions during his youth as Anakin Skywalker, the slave boy from Tatooine who left his home to become a Jedi Knight, not realizing that his love for his mother - Shmi - would prove to be one of his biggest Achilles heels once the Sith Lords became aware of his existence.

One of my favorite dramatis personae was the stoic-yet-loving Shmi Skywalker, Anakin's single mom and future grandmother to Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa. Abducted by space pirates early in her teens, Shmi served under several masters until she and her son...
...
