This bass is one of the best sounding that i've found so far. it was deffinitly worth the money and the sound quality is pretty good. sometimes though the high tones can emmit a undesierable noise, though that issue can be solved with simply amp and soundboard adjustments, but other than that its a excellent bass. the sound was thick and heavey just the way i like it and it really did sound nice hen it was put togeather with the rest of the band. which was a huge thing for me when i was purchasing one since, well i play with a band. the bass sounded great with a pick or if you were slapping, no matter what it seamed like this was a bass that couldn't go wrong. this bass was deffinily wrth all my hard earned dollars and the pennys i've been saving up since i was 2, deffinitly wirth more than the dean i had before it, that sounded like crap. but down to the details this bass is bueatiful and will not fail you.
...

I received this flute as a birthday gift 5 years ago, and my skill has grown imensely. Not only does this flute allow the player to achieve a better tone quality, it also teaches the flutist to hold the flute correctly, allowing fast fingerings.

On the downside, this flute is not for people with small hands, the keys are very spaced out. The A flat key is also set higher, which will take some getting used to. I recommend using plugs and gradually taking them out until you are comfortable playing with out them, the less plugs used, the better the tone will be.

Other than those cons, the flute is perfect for someone hoping to strengthen their skill in playing the flute.

The Yamaha standard flutes are among the finest in the world. The model 221 is one of the company's best instruments. It is primarily a student flute but it can be used by levels of flute because of its versatility. Its silver-plated body gives a good base for the warm low and mid ranges of the instrument. Any beginner can create a good sound from this instrument. Although the high ranges are difficult to produce for beginners, the model 221 Yamaha flute can create a high range suitable for any novice. Overall, this instrument is one of the best flutes any musician could wish for.
...

My loving husband bought me one of my prized possessions. I don't ask for much and didn't ask for a tenor saxophone either. I tested 4 different tenor saxophones against each other before I finally settled on the Yanagisawa. It was a little pricier than the others, but it was definitely worth it. It had a really nice low and high sound. I used "Misty" on all the tenor saxophones to test it out. Others were either to tinny sounding or too in your face sound. It also had a nice look to it with a really neat design on it. Not that I really cared whether or not it had a design on it. But that was just an added bonus. With it, I had also purchased the Jumbo Java mouth piece, which gave it a nice rich sound. In all, I paid approximately $2000 for the Yanagisawa tenor saxophone and $125 for the Jumbo Java mouth piece. The mouth piece was made by Yamaha. I really don't think I'll have to purchase another sax again.
...

bluemonitor says "Great sound but watch out!" about Seagull C6

Okay so this is my fourth acoustic guitar and I've been playing over ten years so I have some experience. First, the sound is very good for the price. It's not Martin or Larrivee or Taylor, but you really cannot expect better given the price. Also, you have that extra good feeling that the guitar is hand-crafted and made of solid wood (top), rather than factory printed on laminated wood. That said, I would urge you not to purchase a non-lacquered Cedar guitar... because you will ding it up real good very soon. Usually I look for non-lacquered guitar because they sound better to me and louder as well. However, Cedar is a very soft wood and you can easily put a dent on it, say just by giving it a good tap with your figertips. My guitar looks like it's been around for 10 years when I only had it for about three. The value is what you are going for here, and the guitar is very easy to play (wider neck) and quite boomy and is nice if you usually just strum with chords.
...

My son had been playing guitar for a little over a year when he decided to "spring" for an amp. We went looking and I was totally blown away by how much better the Line 6 amps were than anything else in their comparable price ranges. He bought a spider 3 and I am absolutely certain that there is no other amp on the market that can even come close to it for the price. We bought it at a store where you can "try before you buy" and he played through several different amps. The Spider 3 not only sounded better than many that were over $100 more expensive, but it had a set of built in effects and features that put ALL others in the same price point to shame. He has now "jammed" for over a year, without even the tiniest problem. If I were to ever look for another amp (or him) we would put Line ^ at the very, very beginning of th eline. Another amp company is going to have to do significantly better than they have to date to earn our money.
...

I was so excited when I first found this Ion USB turntable I could hardly contain myself. I had recently been given my dad's collection of vinyl consisting mostly of classic rock, with a little of almost everything else thrown in from beethoven to madonna. He had a turntable to give me that hadn't been used in years, and was apparently very finicky whenever you tried to use it. I found this to be intimidating, as I had never played a record before and wanted so badly to just listen to his collection without any hassles. When i brought the Ion home, it was very straightforward to connect it to my home theatre system for basic listening, and I soon was hearing what all the fuss over vinyl was about. I really could hear a true distinction from the tapes, cds, and mp3s I had become accustomed to. While it is easy to admit that this is not the top of the line professional equipment available, I do recommend this to anyone who wants an uncomplicated way to listen to their vinyl, whether they...
...

Now I know that this is a highly subjective subject and I can only speak for the two that I played. So if you are a diehard Squier fan (Yes, appearently it is possible) then this review isn't for you. As a person who rarely ever plays Squier, I was very unimpressed.

I went to a friend of mines studio over the weeked and while listening to some recordings we decided to jam. In the live recording area there were two Squires leaning up against the amp. Appearently a band he was currently recording used them. I picked the first one up and it was a "Vintage Feel" model. it was horribly out of tune, with a gold flake paintjob and a wannabe left handed looking upsidedown headstock. I was for some reason very put off by what this guitar had going on. So instead of wasteing my time tuning it, I put it down and picked up the next one.

This one was a Stratocaster copy with a Rosewood fretboard. It was slightly out of tune, so I sharpened it up and went to town. The first thing...
...

Guest9885 says "Overall very good - Nice tone, sound, and volume" about Fender Frontman 25r Amplifier

This is for the Frontman 25R. This amplifier has a very warm clean sound that is typical of the 'fender' sound, while not being too loud to use in an apartment/living situation. The 25R delivers the same kind of tone as my twin reverb in a small practice amp. The 25R gets loud too, with a noticable jump in volume right at 2.5/10. Some reviews have commented this volume sensitivity can be annoying if you are looking for a volume setting around that point. I prefer to adjust the volume down on the guitar, which creates a cleaner sound without overdriving the amp input, so the volume sensitivity on the amp has not been much of a problem for me. The sound from the 10" speaker fills the room nicely with plenty of power to spare.

One real negative for this amp was an annoying buzz from the reverb which was noticable above 4/10. Other reviews have also commented on the reverb buzz as a negative. The reverb effect has a nice sound and is a desirable feature on this amp, while...
...

abreview says "Very nice recording interface" about PreSonus FireBox Firewire Recording Interface

The PreSonus Firebox is a quality firewire recording interface that packs a lot of features in a compact little box. Features include 2 mic/instrument preamps with 48V phantom power, 2 balanced TRS line inputs, 6 balanced TRS analog outs, as well as MIDI I/O and S/PDIF I/O. You can record through 6 inputs and playback through 8 outputs simultaneously. There's a stereo headphone output and a main volume control on the front panel.

I have two of these devices and have made some quality recordings through them. One of the devices did have a problem later with the phantom power button but PreSonus shipped out a replacement quickly and we were able to get it changed and working just like new.

Steinberg's Cubase LE software comes with the Firebox so you will be ready to record straight out-of-the-box. The Firebox's preamps produce nice clean sound that I have been pleased with. Unlike other recording interfaces I have used, the sound is crystal clear.
...

I'm about 20 years into my story as a songwriter, singer and guitar player. Over those years, I've played a lot of guitars, and this one I've always come back to.

This is a thin-line arch top, light and easy on the shoulders with a nice jazz tone when played lightly, but it really gets a rough and knuckly sound when played with some conviction. Gibson originally sold it as a Spanish guitar, although I didn't realize that until I looked it up for this review! I play a fairly eclectic mix of music, from fingerpicked blues and country to damaged noise rock, and while very simple, this guitar is able to get credible sounds for just about everything -- although it breaks down just short of metal. Where it really shines is as the songwriter's companion; its chambered body produces enough sound to double as an acoustic guitar, and its electric sound is surprisingly beefy; great for bar gigs.

I have a 1967, and its a little beat up, but I got a great bargin. Since this is not...
...

A little over a year ago I bought a Taylor nylon 6 string acoustics guitar. I traded in one of my electric guitars to buy myself something more fitting to the diverse music that I have been playing lately. I wanted a nylon string guitar for its sweet mellow sound. I had not looked at guitars in many years so I was not very familiar with the name Taylor when it was suggested to me. The salesman handed me a Taylor NS44-CE nylon string guitar. I only had to play her for a couple of minutes to know that this guitar was what I wanted to take home. The guitar has a beautiful cutaway body with a 20 fret ebony neck. The action is wonderfully smooth and the sound is deep and rich. The surprisingly rich bass sound from the guitar was what really sold me on this guitar. The fact that it had built in pickup for plugging into a sound system on stage was an added bonus.

The look and craftmanship of this Taylor guitar was excellent. I knew when I looked it over that a great deal of care and craftmanship...
...

nickkos says "For 100$ You cant get any better" about Fender Squire Fender Squire P-Bass

The fender squire P-bass delivers excellent tone at a cost you cant go wrong with. If your looking to take up the bass guitar buy one of these because it is the best and most comfortable versatile beginners instrument availible for the bassist. Squires guitars always have that comfortability and imitation of a strat or much better quality instrument but retain a low cost and still keeping yourself as versatile as can be.

I've played funk, jazz, and rock riffs and scales and even on small 100Watt amps I can really drive out some tones. However the bass does come at some disdains...

No matter what you try the action will always be too tight to start learning slapping on. The neck is always in one format and is usually non customizable on squires. The lower tone strings can have a buzz to them if not set up correctly after the manufacturer. Also the strings that come with the guitar suck....buy some new ones.

However you can get it in some pretty nice colors!!!
...

KKarvox says "For the price, it's definitly not bad" about B.C. Rich Ironbird Electric Guitar, Onyx

B.C. Rich Ironbird Electric Guitar, Onyx: I bought my B.C. Rich Ironbird, the Platinum Version, (not the crappy Bronze Edition they are selling currently) about a year ago, as an upgrade to my cheapo epiphone SG, and at the time i was extremely happy with it. The neck played very well, very slim and played relitivly fat, and after it was set up, i did it personally, it played like a dream. The problem i had, which is on most B.C. Rich guitars, is that it is neck heavy, and if you are an animated performer like i am, you often let go of the guitar to gesture with your hands as part of your performance. Problem here is that if you do with this guitar, the headstock will almost hit the floor! Another problem is the stock BDSM pick-ups are not exactly the best in the world. But, since i only payed $135 out the door from a Pawn Shop, and the thing goes for over $600 MSRP, it definitly was well worth it, and it looks awesome in my opinion. Currently it is my Back-up guitar next to my Les Paul...
...

bkovacs says "Excellent guitar case" about Road Runner RRMA20 Guitar Case

Several years ago, I built an acoustic guitar. Although it's not perfect, I'm still proud of the way it sounds and that I was somehow able to build it. However, after a while it became obvious that it needed a case to protect it, especially if I ever took it anywhere.

I looked around at the local music stores and ended up buying a Road Runner RRMA20 guitar case from a Guitar Center store for $80.

What it is

The Road Runner RRMA20 guitar case fits a standard "dreadnaught" size acoustic guitar, which is a very popular size. I do not know if Road Runner makes cases in other sizes but I imagine the company has a line with various sizes.

The RRMA20 case is lined with thich green plush that cushions the guitar softly. The shell of the case is hard plastic with the edges trimmed in aluminum. There are four metal latches to clamp the case closed and the center of the case has a storage compartment for the accessories that every guitar player needs. Once the case is closed, there's a plastic...
...

sweetpeee says "Unique tone" about Gibson Firebird V Reverse

Mine is a classid White Gibson Firebird V. First I checked it out and thought: "I just got a new credit card with a $7k limit...but I can't afford any more debt" I went to the gym, got on a treadmill for 45 minutes thinking about it the whole time.I drove back,I traded in 100Watt Marshall full stack and an early 1970's Fender cab and $125.00. I had to have this guitar.

I am not in love with the Banjo Tuners on this thing and I'm waiting on Stienberger gearless tuners for replacements. I also replaced the bridge pickup with a Lollar because the stock pick up sounded shrill to me when turned all the way up, but had good tone if you turned the volume down a hair. With the Lollar, you can turn it all the way up or down a little and get good tone in both positions. So why did I buy it? Because it had a tone that wasn't quite as dark as a Les Paul and not as much treble as a Strat or Tele. It's somewhere in between. I also liked the neck in this guitar. I've been playing...
...

smurray001 says "Small amp, big sound!" about Crate Profiler 5

My husband bought me a Crate Profiler 5 amp to go with my new Strat that he got me for Christmas. I love this little amp! It is small and very portable, but puts out a lot of sound. I am only a beginner, so this is perfect for someone like me just starting out. It can also be used by professionals as a practice amp. It has 5 stereo watts coming out of two 4" speakers. It comes with 11 built-in profile sounds. It also has USB outputs for recording music onto your computer (software is also included)! It comes with a power supply, but can also be run on batteries, adding to it's portability. It also has delay, modulation and reverb effects. For private listening, it comes with a CD/MP3 player stereo input jack and headphone jack . I am still trying to learn the different sound combinations, but the sounds I have gotten are clear, and the sound and tone are great! Best of all, this is a very afforable amp and worth every penny! You won't find a better amp for the...
...

India Airie is a singer that does not get the recognition she deserves. Ms. Airie is a singer who sings about today's issues. On her first CD, she sang about not being the girl on the average video. Ms. Airie is proud of who she is and she lets let girls know that you don't need to be identified by your hair, looks or body to boost your self esteem. Ms. Airie is true to who she is and I admire her for not following the norn. She came out with a CD two months ago, and she compares US cities to various countries. Ms. Airie also talks about love and relationships. I hope that she will continue to sing the truth.
...
