housss says "The Christian Life." about The Ten Commandments

Dear believers it is good to have the Ten Commandments. I have a loyalty to the God to worship and to believe what he states and without backbiting him or cursing my God. I am a committed christian I and believe in the Ten Commandments for the bible of the book of Exodus 20 chapter and fromt he book of Deuteronomy 5 chapter. I pray that anything sown in dishonor will be raised in honor. I have the risen savior the Jesus Christ to be well with. He is my creator and redeemer and I pray that he will redeem the ten commandments with the seven lampstands and the golden candlesticks which has meaning well of the book of revelations. I have the meaning well in my heart but the God is well with the me and is imploring the way I am to be a christian. I am to live holy and be holy in conversations and not hide counsel without knowlege. Well, we let the light so shine before men so that thou may see thou good deeds. Amen.
...

GreatMartin says "IT COULD HAVE/SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER" about "THE BLIND SIDE"

There is just something in "The Blind Side" that keeps it from being a better than average film and as much as I think about it I am unable to put my finger on it. All the acting is first rate. I am a fan of Sandra Bullock and she plays the feisty, Scarlet O'Hara type, accomplished woman, wife and mother perfectly, maybe too perfectly, as she seems to do nothing wrong and is always there, no matter what time of day, whenever she is needed. Oh, yes, I don't like her as a blond though the person she plays, Leigh Ann Tuohy, is a real woman, a blond, and this film is based on a true story. Tom McGraw is all charm and understanding as her husband, as the owner of 78 Taco Bells and yet never seems to check on any of them even though the script has a take on that. Let's say he has 78 outstanding managers it just strikes me that a man as successful as he is would be too busy to be home, 'around' so much. Lily Collins, as the teenage daughter, is a delight and Jae Head is a little too precocious...
...

Walk away the pounds was very boring and I do not feel that I lost any weight from doing the video daily for a month. All you do is walk in the same spot for two miles not doing any kind of hills or anything productive. She tries to incorporate the arms as well, but the weight that she suggested was too small. Once I started walking outside, I noticed a huge difference in my butt. When you do the walk away the pounds DVD you are on flat surface whereas outside you go up and down hills and can easily go further than 1 or 2 miles. I found the DVD to be very boring and it got old after a couple of days. I understand it is trying to target busy moms or people who are out of shape, but it seriously did not increase my heart-rate or anything even when she tried to "pump up the pace". My advice would be to burn the DVD and go outside to walk because I noticed a huge difference when I started walking outside compared to Walk Away the Pounds.
...

Here are some movie that are sure to bring a tear or two or a whole flood to your eye. Powerful movies that will make even the most manly of men cry. No not Fried Green Tomatoes, or even Gone with the Wind.

A dark fairy tale about a lonely outsider who falls in love with a girl he cannot have. Johnny Depp imbues a rain forest of emotion in his mostly silent character, a mad scientist's creation an artist with scissors for hands left alone to fend for himself in a harsh cruel world.

A love story that is told completely through song is what they call a three hanky film. It's about love and soulmates and how two beautiful people meet in France and fall in love and life is perfect-until he goes off to war, leaving behind his true love and the child he did not know he made. Years pass, they marry other people and then....
kle0686 says "Sadie Nardini is my yoga guru" about Yoga For Weightloss By Sadie Nardini

I hate breathing heavy and sweating. I feel horrible, like I cannot catch my breath when I have to do intense workouts. That is why I wanted to try yoga. I had tried doing yoga on my Wii with the Wii balance board. I liked it but needed something a little more comprehensive.

That was when I searched YouTube. I think the first statement I typed into the search box was "Yoga for beginners". I followed along to a couple of videos but was not really into them. Finally after a few days I found a video by Sadie Nardini. I enjoyed it and then found another one of her videos in the "More From: Sadie Nardini" section. I really enjoyed the second video also. I went to her channel by clicking on her name and found out all about her and found move than 100 other yoga videos.

Sadie is so great. She really listens to her clients, both paying customers in her studio and those that buy her video sets, and those that just follow along at home with her free videos on YouTube. She had posted videos titled...
...

dawson2004 says "Orphan was a real scary movie!" about Orphan

My favorite type of movies is horror, so I was really excited when the movie Orphan came out in theaters. I got the thrill ride I was looking for and jumped a few times in my seat. The story is about a couple Kate and John who suffer the loss of their infant and go through the turmoil of dealing with it. Kate becomes and alcoholic and her husband is stuck raising their two kids, Danny the older boy and Mac, a deaf daughter. To come to terms with the loss, they help each other and finally make the decision to share their love by adopting an older child. After traveling to an orphanage they connect to an orphaned girl Ester who is anything but sweet. She is an outsider at both the orphanage and school and wants to belong. She has a secret sinister past that slowly unfolds as the movie plays. The movie is two hours of horror as Ester finds her victims and tries to play off as the good daughter, but she is anything but. There is a great twist at the end and some scary bumps...
...

Okay so after seeing the many advertisement's my nieces finally got me to go see Paranormal activity. I was very skeptic about it. It started out kind of slow with a young couple moving in a new house and they decide to set up a video camera up to catch activity that goes on at night while they are sleeping. Once the paranormal things started to happen is when it got really good and eerie. The best part was when they poured baby powder on the bedroom floor before they went to bed and what happened next. I wont ruin it for you though. It made me very paranoid and every-time I hear a eerie noise it make me think of this movie. Even though it is not a true story the ending was very good and made me a believer. I will probably even go see it again at the theatre and buy it on dvd if it comes out. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes scary movies and haunting stories. I loved it.

Fardreamer says "Stephen King's Storm of the Century is effective TV chiller" about Storm of the Century

In 1999, the ABC TV network, which has been "home" to best-selling author Stephen King's made-for-television movies and miniseries, aired Stephen King's Storm of the Century, which King wrote as an original "Novel for Television" rather than as an adaptation of an existing published work, tells the story from the point of view of Mike Anderson (Tim Daly), a grocery store owner and constable on Little Tall Island, which lies off the coast of Maine. It's some time in the late 1990s, and Mike is clearly recalling the traumatic events of the fateful arrival of Andre Linoge (Colm Feore) on the island just as a series of weather systems converge off the East Coast to form a Perfect Storm type of natural disaster.

For the residents of Little Tall, the so-called Storm of the Century is the least of their worries, because the mysterious Linoge isn't as unassuming as he looks. In fact, he makes his presence known by brutally killing the elderly Martha Clarendon (Rita Tuckett), taking away her walker...
...

This movie was great - but all the Ice Age movies i feel are great! starts out a little sad. Somethign is wrong with the sabertooth tiger, he chases down an antilope but runs out of breath and feels winded. they show him all blurry eyed and he stops chasing him. the antilope then prances around him and makes fun of him. he feels berated. he feels that he's losing his touch! so he goes back to manny, elly, syd and the gang and tells them that it's time for him to leave the heard. manny is upset of course and syd is sad, but off goes the sabertooth on his own. Mean time Manny is over the moon about his new baby! that's right - he an elly are having a baby! so she's a little annoyed with how much he's doing - building a playground, talking to the baby in her belly just being a very proud father. so she tells him to back off a little but he can't help it. Then there's syd. he's sad the sabertooth left, so he wonders around trying to find a place where he fits in...he crashes through...
...

renfield1969 says "Wow! It really delivers!" about "2012"

Premise going in: world is ending. Ergo, biggest disaster movie ever. It does start off with most of the disaster movie tropes, in the form of meeting the large and geographically scattered cast, but it also quickly introduces the explanation of the threat and starts the compelling story rolling. While the rich and powerful have been preparing, John Cusack is the one ordinary man who puts all the pieces together barely in the nick of time and has to race for the survival of his family. Does it stretch credulity? Sure. In fact, there are several points where you might be compelled to yell at the screen "Did a scientist just say that?" and "They would be dead already!" or "They can't do that because why?"

The special effects are amazing, and the destruction is so massive that it is impossible to take it all in, which is as it should be. It provides edge of your seat excitement, and if you feel that there are too many points where you have to forgive its flaws, the movie provides just as...
...

renfield1969 says "Ordinary action film" about Ninja Assassin

Ninja Assassin does provide everything that you would want to see in a ninja movie. It has exciting fights with exotic weapons, impossible ninja trickery, and a rogue ninja that has to defeat his master. Unfortunately, it does not provide any of them in any particularly interesting way. When a Europol analyst discovers evidence of an organization of assassins dating back centuries, she suddenly finds herself in the middle of a conspiracy and marked for death. The timely arrival of the title character, at war with his entire ninja clan, puts the two of them on the run and in even greater danger. There is a compelling story in there somewhere, but the filmmakers decided to rely on special effects and massive amounts of bloodshed instead of the martial artistry Hollywood has taught us to expect from black-clad Asian killers. There is a chase scene through a warehouse that could have been a showcase for modern parkour techniques, but is merely a standard chase scene with quick cuts and dodgy...
...

The movie is unlike any other movie on the market. It keeps you entertained all the way from the beginning. It's complex plot mixed with it's non-stop action, you'll have to put everything on hold until you finish it. The plot is a bit weak for anyone not familiar with the games it is based off of, but for anyone with a fan buddy, it's a suggested watch. The movie is based on a series of video games that began with the playstation 1. It has since grown to the ps3. The movie mixes the games all into one movie, supported by a fantastic soundtrack. Since the movie deals with multiple deminsions, it is a bit tricky to follow. The characters themselves also do not give much support to the plot. It almost seems like important information is left out. If one pays close attention however, it should not be very difficult to get the jist of the plot. Again, the movie is quite difficult to follow, but is a deffinet watch.
...

adrenaline09 says "9, and animated film, lacks storyline but great visuals" about 9

Nine was a movie I went to see with my family, hoping that it would be good. 9 is described as a "A post-apocalyptic nightmare in which all of humanity is threatened." Looking at the poster of this movie, it looks very entertaining and kind of cute. A glowing, huge, green "9" looms over a small alien holding a torch - which looks interesting, right? Not exactly true.

As the movie went on I was never less interested, but it was nothing more than average. What kept me looking on were the graphics and animation which are done stupendously and without them the movie would be a one. The story line was a little sketchy which kind of brought the movie down a tad but the characters made up for it. They were all right and a bit attention grabbing but not enough for this movie to be something I love.

All in all, I wouldn't recommend the movie to a friend, and if they were going to see it I'd let them know there are other movies that could be of more value to their time.
...

ChrisJarmick says "unique look at a group of river raft guides over 20 years time " about Same River Twice Documentary

The Same River Twice is a unique but rather static documentary focusing on 5 people who back in 1978 were part of a group of 17 River Rafting Guides who took a 6 week long river trip together. They often ran around stark naked as if they had formed a nudist commune. The film contrasts 16 m.m. footage from 1978, with footage shot 20 plus years later on digital video; youth to middle age; naked rebellion to societal conformity.

It is interesting, particularly because it's all done in a modified verite style. We don't get explanatory narration. No one is asked questions about how they have changed, what they miss about the past, their regrets of what they did. We learn some details about relationships then and relationships now, but in a piece meal fly on the wall fashion. Life goes on.

In a way that is refreshing. It forces you as the viewer to put everything into your perspective. How do you feel about what you are watching? Perhaps you know people like the ones you are watching, or perhaps...
...

nytengale19 says "Short, sweet, and kick butt" about Denise Austin: Get Fit Fast All in One Trainer

I was a little hesitant when I first tried the Denise Austin: Get Fit Fast All in One Trainer porgram. I was not sure how much I was going to be affected only working out 10-15 minutes at a time. I had nothing to worry about. After only a few days of the video, I was already seeing a few results, and I was definitely feeling it. Denise has a way of making you love and also hate her at the same time while you are working out. She is all smiles while you are huffing and puffing. In all honesty though, it is a great program. It is also beneficial to be able to work out in the comforts of your own home. You do not need a ton of space. A living room or even bed room is sufficient. I have a few other of her workout videos, and I find that all of them give the results that you are looking for. Her workouts or great for beginners and more advanced exercise lovers, and she is also easy to follow. If you fall a little behind, there are ways and time to catch up.
...

PL06 says "Great for all ages!" about Walk Away the Pounds 1 and 2 miles

Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds series is one of the best fitness DVD's you could invest in. It is great for all ages. My kids, grandkids, parents and my husband have it and all like it! I have a lot of fitness tapes as well as the Wii Fit. I always continue with my Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds tapes/now DVD's. She is easy to follow - has basic steps - and you always feel better after you complete one of her sessions. She has 1 mile up to 5 mile workouts. Some integrate weights or bands. I have about 15 different tapes to mix it up a little. (I have been collecting them for a while). I really still enjoy the very first one - it is like an old friend. Her program is convenient - you just need a small space in your own home. No program fees, no driving, no makeup, no babysitters! If you can walk in place, take small steps sideways, kick and optionally move your arms up and down - you are already half way there! It looks simple and it is! Surprisingly,...
...
