mnm309 says ""All-in-one" magazine!" about Real Simple Magazine

Out of all the magazines that I have subscribed to this magazine is the best for me. Real Simple magazine is what I would call a "well-rounded" magazine for home life. This magazine covers fashion in every sense, from home decor(indoor and outdoor) to clothing and accessories, quick food and drink preparations, entertaining on occasions, affordable items and even... beauty techniques and products. I also like the fact that there is a section about finance and health. My two favorite sections are the "New uses for old things" - where the original purpose of an item is listed and then the what is called an "AHA!" use of the same item gives a new use of purpose and the Real Simple To Go section that has perforated cards with recipes, website addresses and more from the month's issue that can be taken out to keep at hand. This magazine is great for anyone who is simply looking to improve their "home" life.
...

I'm 35 years old. I fainally found a magazine that I can relate to. I used to read Teen Vogue, Glamour,Harper's Bizaare and Seventeen ,but when I first read Girl's Life ( with a Miley Cyrus cover) I knew that I found something that was rare and special. I just started to read this magazine about 3 months ago. The content is exactly what my issues are. Fashion, weight, diet, shopping and sin and hair care. Exactly, come on admit that is all that is really important. Even if you are a 45 year old woman, think about it. The balance between fashion and health is exactly 50% so it leaves the magazine interesting enough so that you could take tour first tour through it rather easily. This is really good magazine, published in New York. Also every day of every month they have sweepstakes and I am a first timer and I won a beautiful tiger-stripped jacket from Jou Jou. Also if you log in to the website there are many thing you could do there also like join the moxie girls club and...
...

I've subcribed to the Oprah magazine off and one for quite some time and recently resubcribed encouraged by a pretty decent subscription rate offer. It is a nice big magazine so the price was a bargain. The magazine has lots of advertisements which I find my self bookmarking for later research. There are loads of articles but sometimes about half leave me feeling like I'm still waiting for more to come if you know what I mean (some leave you feeling like the article didn't quite reach its point). It is very nicely put together.I sometimes find that I have to read through it twice just to make sure I didn't miss something. When I am through with it there is always a friend or family member waiting to get their hands on it so it is a great magazine to share. The one thing I did notice is that many of the articles are self help or insightful thinking. I personally like a womans magazine that is well rounded with some of that but also articles that touch on home, food, etc. but there...
...

cookiemonster202 says "Talks about boys and exercises and coupons :]" about Seventeen Magazine

The Bottom Line: For mature teens heavily into fashion, make-up and celebrities, Seventeen may be right. I don?t recommend subscriptions for young/highly impressionable girls. Seventeen is too materialistic.

Review: Thank Goodess, I have survived my pre-teen years and teen years. Either I was a normal adolescent experiencing the pits and peaks of life or I was going bi-polar disorder. Before subscribing, I'd purchase a few copies to see if the content is what I expect. The magazine has changed over the years.Good overall magazine for older teens!

had a subscription to Seventeen magazine not too long ago. It used to be a fairly good magazine. Now, it's going downhill faster than a sled on ice.

Cant find why out??

Seventeen has some good points. They usually have articles about real girls who have faced difficult situations like teen pregnancy, drug addiction, suicide, and AIDS. They also have an advice column named "Sex and Body" that usually gives out okay information (although I have...
...

Dallas9 says "It's a woman's guide to success!" about Cosmopolitan Magazine

Cosmo is every girl's guide to success. It is absolutely amazing. It has tips on every topic from health to men. I use it all the time when I give my boyfriend the quizzes. He loves it!

I think the magazine provides insite to issues which are important to women. Many of the health issues which the magazine talks about are real threats such as the human papilo virus and breast cancer. It's different hearing the seriousness of these illensses from a magazine which we trust rather than a doctor who's job is to diagnose patients.

The magazine offers a friendly way to learn about health related issues. Also sexual health is a big deal to learn about in the magazine. It can be uncomfortalbe asking a doctor or friend about these issues. the magazine makes it easy to learn about these issues in teh comfort of your own home. it's a cozy magazine.

I started reading it when I was fifteen or sixteen and i swear on it and recoment it to my friends all the time. I absolutely love it. However, it can...
...

I subscribed to All You magazine about 5 months and have already extended my All You subscription to two years because I was so impressed by this magazine. I subscribe to other simialiar magazines, Woman's World, Woman's Day and Family Circle but I usually get very bored with them quickly. The cover of All You is very eye catching, but more importantly it tells me exactly what I will find inside.

Often the other magazines would give a bold front cover topic but the article inside was very incomplete or barely really touched on the topic I was expecting to read. If the Other magazines article is about a new diet they usually give you two short pages of interest and only a very brief summary of the actual diet. Magazines like Woman's Day and Family Circle start the article on page 21 and 22 but end it several pages over on page 62 ,for example, this is very annoying as I often want to take and artical out and save it but later find I don't have all the pages. All you magazine has complete...
...

Like many dealing with the current economy, this past year I've been trying to cut my spending without drastically changing my style of living. My favorite blog, Moneysavingmom.com, not only highly recommended All You Magazine, she provided a link for subscribing at a drastically reduced price. So even though magazines were one of the things we're cutting out of our budget, I thought I'd make an exception for this one. And I'm really glad I did. I personally bought it for the coupons but found the magazine itself provides all kinds of helpful tips on living better on less, including cooking, decorating, dressing, gift-giving, nutrition, parenting, etc. This is not a high fashion or gourmet cooking magazine, rather it provides tips and everyday recipes for normal people who want to live better on a budget. The coupons are plentiful, high value and some are exclusive. I combined a few of the coupons from this month alone with sales and got some really cheap coffee, makeup...
...

theann says "An awesome magazine for teens." about Seventeen Magazine

This is the perfect magazine for teens. Not only girls, but there is some stuff in there for boys. I would highly recommend this magazine over Teen vogue. The articles are really really good. They show really cute makeup and clothes ideas. Stuff that is really affordable, and stylish. But they also talk about boys, and regular teen issues. The articles really are helpful. There is also repeating sections such as Traumarama, which is a bunch of funny embarrasing stories people send in. There also isn't so many advertisements. Of course there is some. But not page after page like in Teen Vogue. I really like the different subjects that are in this magazine. Instead of just clothes. Pages and pages of overpriced designer clothes. Like I said they talk about clothes, makeup, hair, boys, relationship, girl issues, health, fitness, and more. They give a lot of great money saving tips, and diy ideas, It is a great magazine, even for girls in their 20's.
...

I do not suggest subscribing to Teen Vogue. It is really bad compared to seventeen magazine. First of all, there is wayyyyy to many advertisements. In one magazine it is probably 60 percent advertisements and 40 percent actual reading material. And the ads are crazy. All they advertise is expensive designer clothes. There is nothing affordable for teens. Its hard to believe, but not many teens can afford 600 dollar shirts. Not only do they do that in the ads, but it seems like that is all they talk about in the articles. In Seventeen, they have a lot of great tips on how to save money, and what is affordable, but in Teen Vogue, all it is is rich snobs talking about what are the best designers. One article was talking about the country's economy and how it is hard for teens to buy clothes. I thought it would be a good article, and all they were saying is how instead of buying jeans for 300 dollars, they could only buy 100 dollar jeans. The rest of the articles really aren't that good to...
...

I'm new to New York City and I am loving my subscription to Time Out NY. The magazine includes so much information of fun (and cheap) things to do, see, and hear in New York City you can never be bored. I think my only gripe is that it's sometimes information overload! This is a great place to look for reviews of new plans, restaurants, and bars. I also have been enjoying their profiles on different neighborhoods. This was my bible this summer as I had free time during the day and I wanted to take advantage of all the city had to offer. Time Out NY listed so many great festivals and outdoors events that I often had a hard time deciding what to do! The magazine would make a great gift for any New Yorker, but especially for someone new to the city and looking to explore the city and take advantage of everything it has to offer! I look forward to receiving the magazine every week and discovering something new!
...

There are articles on the history of this great state, places to sample the best regional cuisine (and recipes!), places to stay, things to do - including art, music, crafts, drama, festivals, - more thana you can imagine! If you're a Tarheel, you will love and save every issue so you can explore this state that you THOUGHT you knew! If you aren't - well, welcome to our slice of Heaven and God's country and come on down/over/up for a visit - you may not want to leave!!!

I really enjoy reading this magazine. For one there are real women in it not 95 pound girls that can fit into anything and try to fill it out. They have menus, calendars, coupons all sorts of stuff that comes in handy. The magazine is also affordable not the 7 to 15 bucks for some that are in the check out line and in my opinion they are a lot more pertinent in my life. They are also full of crafting ideas that don't cost a lot either. I think if I am going to spend the money on a magazine that this one has my vote. For less than 2 dollars you can get it and try it. The subscriptions don't cost a lot either. They are easy to find online and in the magazines themselves. Next time you are at the store grab one and flip through and see if it is something that you can use, it is more helpful than the pepsi that I am tempted to buy at the check out for around the same price, and the magazine saves me money with all the coupons that are in them so I love it.
...

Katelyn092 says "Teenvogue is wicked cool!" about Teen Vogue

Well teen vogue really is a neat magazine. It's great for teenagers who are not sexually active because it keeps them that way, or at least helps to. Teen vogue is more on fashion. It does not push kids to go a certain way in their life or to eat a certain way or look beautiful. It promotes every kid's style and really helps kids realize they don't need to be drop dead gorgeous to be in a magazine. They can be average and be on the front page. Many girls in teenvogue are not even famous, they are just average girls who are becoming the queen of fashion just by being who they are. The fact that it doesn't push kids to have boyfriends is so much better than other magazines. Theres no sex tips or dirty comments and ways to do things. Teens shouldn't have to read that at early ages and be pressured into those types of activities, they should enjoy their childhood times and not have to deal with stupid pressure. The magazine teenvogue is awesome in that aspect that it is all about clothes and...
...

laceytwc says "Great magazine for the mom's" about All You Magazine

I had heard a lot about All you magazine from my online blogs that i visit. i love how every month it is a variety of information and articles. The magazine is well prices, although a magazine subscription is a little pricier than most magazines. Every month there are tons of coupons and money saving tips in it. There are articles about products, beauty, fashion, cooking, and decorating. There are inspirational stpries in it from real women, as well as real women's reviews of certain products and ideas. I love how this magazine looks to empower women. The only downfall as mentioned above is the subscription price. I have several magazine subscriptions that have cost far less than this magazine. Another downfall is that it is sold in Wal-Mart only, as far as I can tell. I like going to bookstores to load up on books and magazines before any long trips. i usually do not get to read this magazine as much as I would like, but it is great.
...
