Infinity Beta 20 speakers are clear, pure and just awesome for the price. Go out and hear them for yourself before you buy another brand. Infinity has their stuff together. — Consider speaker placement when buying speakers for your home. Oftentimes retail stores will set up speakers they make the most profit on in a way that makes them sound better than the others in the room. You want them at ear level, whether you are listening to CDs or are using them as a part of a surround sound system. Nothing is more irritating than a sound system set up with speakers mounted to the ceiling pointing straight out and not at the audience. — ...

I love Polk speakers they are good, but they make lack luster subs. — — This sub is not awful and you probably will not hate it, but compare it to something from SVS Sound and you will cry over your bad decision. — — Go buy a sub from someone who is know for subs, the Polk sub is just lackluster —...

ballhawkdawk says "More than you bargained for, but still lacks on sound." about Dual Electronics LU43P Main / Stereo Speaker

I will give Dual this much..... for a really inexpensive outdoor speaker, they aren't too shabby. With most cheaper brands, you get what you pay for......tin can sound. With these Dual speakers, you actually get a pretty nice sound range, without alot of distortion. — — On the flipside, if you are looking for a good quality speaker, this isn't it! You cannot push alot of power to these speakers, therefore, good sound at a higher volume is not going to happen. Also, an audiophile would notice the inaccuracy on sound reproduction. But then, an audiophile would NEVER buy Dual. — — — In all, if you are just looking for some sound out on the patio/deck and are on a tight budget and are not really concerned with tremendous sound quality, then these speakers might be right for you. —...

Telpher says "Little speakers, HUGE sound" about Bose - Companion 5 Multimedia Speaker System

For two years, now, my partner and I have been going into the Bose store at the local mall, and sampling the goods. They make great sound systems. We have a set of Bose bookshelf speakers, which are very nice, but it'd be nice to have a full-on sound system to go with our 40" HD tv. This week we decided to bite the bullet. — The Bose Companion 5 Multimedia System is truly remarkable. The speakers, themselves, are each about the size of Rubik's Cube...maybe a tiny bit smaller. The subwoofer is, understandably, larger - about the size of a small hard drive for a tabletop PC. The sound that comes out of this small system is really amazing. We've hooked it up to our television and, when playing a movie such as 300, it sounds every bit as big and rich as the sound system at a multiplex. What's more, this sytem is a multimedia system...which means we ca hook it up to a pc, a laptop, or even an Ipod. — Hooking it up is as easy as connecting a set of headphones to an Ipod or...

These speakers are an incredible value! — — Between the two speakers I was able to drown out my downstairs neighbor's karaoking and rock out, with out an clipping or distortion. — — They look very stylish and reasonably compact for the features that are offered. Be sure to use some well insulated wires - not due to the speakers, but I had interference when first hooked up. I changed to thicker guage wires and the problem was solved. —...

This review is more for Polk Audio than the speaker itself. My Polk center channel is about twelve years old. I also have rear speakers from Polk that are also about twelve years old. The reason for the review is I just noticed that I have replaced my TV, home theater receiver, VCR and DVD player in less time then I have owned my Polks. It is something I have taken for granted over the years and it seems like a good time to give them the respect they deserve. I have never had a single problem with any of them, and I like my movies and music loud. They have taken everything I have thrown at them, and keep on performing at a very high quality. The sound is still as clean and clear as ever. If you are in the market for home theater speakers, I would highly recommend Polk Audio. At least give them a...
