danatitus says "Please excuse the phony negative reviews" about DanaJill Photography - Dana Jill Titus Danajill.com

I have proof that all images on my website are legitimately mine; there is something called EXIF data that is attached to each image, and each of my images are copyrighted. I would be happy to provide the copyright info to anyone who is concerned.

All negative reviews on the internet were written by Keith and Traci Titus of Riverview FL. They are family members of my husband who we have broken ties with 12 years ago because we did not agree with their lifestyle. Traci Titus has a restraining order against her by her own husband in December 2007. I will share that with anyone who would like it. She claims I have restraining orders against me, that I have a criminal record, and that my husband is divorcing me -- all news to me! If I have such a record then they would post it. None exists and they can't post it because of that reason.

Sadly these two people have nothing to do all day but to slander me. I won't even bother suing them because they have so many judgments...
...

This Woman has more law suits pending against her than the local court has time for. She tried to sue me and my husband in small claims because a judge turned down her restraining order. Dana has had 4-restraining orders placed against her in the last 2 1/2-years, including 1-by her Husband, Gary.

Although She wears the pants in the family and is much bigger than her, she cons her way into peoples trust claiming to be a photographer or author or mother or police officer. She has never taken any of the pictures on her examples, instead rips them off other photographers websites then claims them to be her own.

She is the worst kind of offender since she uses her children as excuses for her inability to be an accountable adult.
...

D1982pickle says "Lowepro 200 AW is a terrific small bag for hiking & everyday use" about Lowepro SlingShot 200 AW, All-Weather BackPack/Sling Bag Converter

I purchased my Lowepro A200 Slingshot two years ago because I liked the All Weather cover, the compact size with the ability to hold an SLR with mid-range zoom lens attached, 3-4 extra lenses, cables and accessories, built in digital memory card organizer. The camera bag's strap crosses your chest diagonally, is well padded, and there's an extra strap that can be used for extra support. Using the slingshot, I don't have to worry about finding a place to set my bag down and dig through it in order to find what I need. Instead I just adjust the bag from my back to the front and everything is organized and within my fingers reach. The size is perfect because it's allows the ability to carry what you use the most while keeping the weight to a minimum. As of now I have a D100 body with attached 18-55mm lens, 70-300 mm lens, Speed light flash, battery charger, manual, cleaning/care kits and I still have room for one more lens.
...

TinaBrewer says "I like this HP Photosmart Printer" about HP - Photosmart C6280 All-in-One Printer

I love my Hewlett Packard Photosmart C6280 All-in-One Printer. The only thing I don't care for is the price of the ink cartridges. But I have found a pretty inexpensive outlet for them. I like to take lots of pictures, and then copy them. I like the mix of colors on the paper,

It is very convenient to use the copier. Just put the paper in and press the button. Copy made. As well as scanning. I had another all in one, that when I scanned would not do a good job. But this one is great. Just push the button and it scans away. Then I can open a file up with the dated scan and there it is. Easy to read, email, print or whatever.

My husband needed a printer, so I told him I liked mine so well, he bought one for himself, so we can now inter use the ink cartridges. He didn't take the time thought to learn his, so wasn't sure about it. Till the other day he sat down, really looked at it, and now he loves his as well. So in the long run it has definately saved us money. We both are satisfied.
...

waynemckinstry says "This is a good digital picture frame" about Smartparts - Digital picture frame SP72

The Smartparts digital picture frame model SP72 is a good digital picture frame. This was my first digital picture frame, so I was not sure what to expect of it.

You do have to buy an SD card to put in it if you want to display very many pictures at all. Not a huge burden. I guess you could put in the SD card directly from your camera.

I am not very happy with the software that comes with it. When I use that software to load pictures, it puts them on the frame's internal memory, rather than on my SD card. I do use the software to process the pictures, but then I just use Windows to move the pictures from my computer to the digital picture frame.

Sometimes a picture comes up "sideways" rather than right-side up. This seems to be when the picture is long from top to bottom. Apparently the frame tries to get the "best fit'. But I guess that's OK, my grandkids are cute no matter which way you turn them.
...

I was shown this picutre viewer at a concert that I was attending earlier this year. I wrote down the model info and ordered mine through ebay. This viewer is very easy to store in a purse or small carrier due to it's compact size. This viewer can use up to a 8gb SD storeage card. This allows you to hold as many as 2000 pictures in one convenient place. I use mine to hold the pictures that I have taken of my clients. It is much easier to transport around than taking your laptop. I put the SD card in the slot after a picture session and had it to the individual who is assessing the pictures. They get a quick idea of whether we are getting the results that they expected. This allows me to go back and retake some that were not quite what was wanted or to add new poses that might be wanted. I also like to store pictures that I have taken that I want to show othrs at a later time that I can carry around easily.
...

i purchased this one at target and had to return it becuase it printed so horrible if it evnen pprinted the whole page. i like lexmark and epson so much better. plus all the garbage it dowloads when you install the printer is horendous sp?? talk about invading my privacy and my computer memory. so just say no to HP!@

my mom also bought one, she didnt listen to my advice, and it broke immediatly seems some little wire where the cartridge sits determines the entire functionality of the printer and it was bent. i am sure it will break asap so she need to buy another one!!
...

Lowepro has produced an adaptable, modular SlipLock holster style beltpack that can handle even large professional SLRs (like the Nikon® F5, or Canon 40D), with telephoto lens attached! Quite an achievement for a belt pack. The pack has two additional lens cases attached to the main camera case that can be detached to fit your needs or weight restrictions.

I own the HP Photosmart C6280 All-in-One printer. It prints, scans and copies. I can't say that I love it but it's not bad. I primarily bought it to print pictures since I am a photo junkie. I make and decorate cakes and cookies and need to take pictures of them to show what I can do. The pictures aren't as clear as I was hoping. Some turn out a little grainy. Sometimes it's difficult to print on a 4x6 which is the size I use the most. It often says that the size of the paper is too smal or something to that effect and I don't know how to fix that. The copier is great. Just push a button and you can have either a black and white or a color copy very quick. The scanner is a little more of a booger to operate. Sometimes it doesn't properly communicate with my computer and I never know where it's going to save my documents. Your suppose to be able to scan and save to computer by pushing buttons on the scanner but that only works once in a while.

I was looking for a way to convert all the old slides my dad had from my childhood, to digital photos on my computer. Did tons of research online. It costs alot to send them out to a company to do it for you, and I am pretty decent on a computer, so figured I could do it myself. For a long time, all I could find was industrial sized scanners, more for photo labs.

and then I found this great product. All you do is put the slide down, put the box viewer over it, and push a button. it connects to your computer via a usb port, and comes with the cable and software. It isn't professional grade, but transfers the slide to digital format, after which you can color correct and edit. I found that I barely had to do any editing, cuz the photos came out pretty good.

I made a slide show with all our old photos for my parents wedding anniversary. It was a hit with al the guests, and I have even transferred old slides for some friends and family, who think I am a genius. Little do...
...

I wanted a light to use with my HD camcorder, and it had to be compact, lightweight and easy to use. So far, the Sima SL-20L has worked out just fine. I got the Sima SL-20L for about $33 at Amazon.

What it is

The Sima SL-20L is a small light that mounts in a standard camera "hot shoe," which is a bracket on top of many photographic and video camera. My video camcorder (a Canon Vixia HF11) has a proprietary mounting shoe that is not standard but there is a workaround I'll get to in a moment. The SL-20L is a small box about 2.25 inches square and an inch thick. It feels very lightweight and I weighed it at a bit under six ounces. It feels lighter. The SL-20L has an array of 36 LEDs that make a lot of light.

The Sima SL-20L has a built-in lithium battery and the unit comes with a charger. The SL-20L also comes with a mounting bracket so that you can mount the light to either side of your camcorder. This looks a little funny but it works well. I actually bought a different Sima mounting bracket......

I can say a lot of great things about this product. Let me start by telling you how I found it.

My son was turning 6 and was really in need of a bedroom update. I was brainstorming for ideas on what direction to go. We had gone to the zoo a few weeks earlier and got some great photos of his favorite animals. Somehow, I ended up finding http://www.ipixxl.com. It was just what I was looking for.

They create customizable vinyl sticker photos, in sizes up to 4 feet by 8 feet. I knew right away what I was going to do. I uploaded 3 of my son's favorite photos, had them enlarged, they sent them in a nice mailer, and then I adhered them to my son's bedroom wall. With some added decor and paint - I turned a boring bedroom into a jungle safari! He was so excited!

The best part about these stickers is that they are completely movable and can be used indoors and out. They can go on windows, walls, and the side of your car. I'm having more made soon for a new business venture I......

jps246 says "Get this to protect your expensive camera lens" about Hoya HMC UV(0) 77 mm Filter

Do you have an SLR camera with a 77 mm lens?

If you do, you should get the 77 mm UV filter from Hoya. It's advertised for its haze reducing capabilities, but the real reason to get a UV filter is to protect your expensive lens from scratches and dirt.

That's why I got this filter. Sure, it does help reduce haze, but I just had purchased a new lens for my camera and I wanted to make sure it was as protected as much as it could be.

This filter is pretty easy to use. It's threaded for a 77 mm lens and all you have to do is screw it on to the front of the lens. It also has threads on its front side, so you can screw another filter on top of this one (say you wanted to add a polarizer). The filter isn't heavy, is very thin and you won't notice any change to your camera weight or bulk when you add it.

By putting the Hoya UV Filter on your camera, you do two things. First you protect your lens. The UV filter acts as a first line of defense. If something scratches the filter, it...
...

steve9631 says "THE only traveller's camera backpack for the quality driven" about Lowepro - Lowepro 350 Fastpack Black Camera Backpack

I love this bag. I'm not just fond of it, I truly love it. I travel for business and pleasure quite a bit, and I've been looking for a bag to suit my special needs for quite a while, then comes the Lowepro 350 Fastpack. It holds my laptop, my camera and equipment, and all my personal stuff I don't feel particularly good about entrusting to the airlines.

Not only will it accommodate my 40D with grip, but with my 28-135 attached with lens hood. It has room for my 70-200 4L, and any extra equipment I drag along, (wide angle, filters, chargers, etc.), and this is only in the camera compartment! It has a security flap that covers the side access area of the camera compartment for extra protection. Speaking of the side access area, when backpacking in rural or urban areas it provides quick easy access to your camera and lens in short order when you want your camera in a hurry.

The 350 model accommodates a 17" widescreen laptop providing a zippered slot towards the rear, or shoulder...
...

bkovacs says "Great value but watch out for the sales pitches" about Marathon Workshops - Captivated by the Light

My wife and I signed up for a photography seminar called Captivated by the Light, put on by a company called Marathon Workshops. (At least I think it is organized by Marathon Workshops.) It cost a very modest $20 and it was a worthwhile four hours on a Sunday afternoon.

The seminar was led by Ed Pierce, a well-known portrait photographer who also videotapes a series of learning videos for wedding and event photographers. He definitely knows his stuff, and he's an amusing and confident presenter. The entire presentation is about how to get the shots you want by adjusting the available light, and he shows many pre-recorded examples. In fact, a good third of the presentation consists of video clips, all of which were fairly interesting.

Included in the presentation and videos are some sales pitches for training materials and for various bits of software and hardware. These are mostly low key and fairly low pressure, but there is something of a hard sell for two software packages called Lightroom......

Kongqueen says "If you use a Mac, call to get a real disc first" about Innovage - Digital Photo Keychain

The rage Christmas gift of 2007 was the digital photo keychain from Innovage. As a fairly computer literate person, working on a Mac, I expected to be able to load pictures in no time flat. HAH!

First the tiny CD that was included will not work in a vertical CD drive. I went to their website and downloaded the necessary files. Still no luck. I called and was told that the correct files for Mac were on a new full sized CD that they promised to send me. I waited 2 1/2 weeks and called back again. They had lost the data from ‘that day’ and actually did, then, send out a new CD immediately. It still took one more phone call to get someone who explained that the screen must read “updating” before it can be updated (why not explain that in the directions?)

Now that I finally understand how this is supposed to work and have managed to get pictures loaded on it, I like it very much and find that the picture quality is quite good. If there is a person out there who would like to make......

This is a wonder full flash. It does everything that I ask of it. The only problem is I don't have more of them :-) Since it does act as a master for the syncing, it would be nice.

My the only con that I have of it, is that it doesn't take a Li-Ion battery. It instead eats AA's for snacks.
...
