pitcherday says "Say goodbye to the arms-length self portrait!" about Sunpak - Platinum Plus FlexPod Gripper

I have a metal camera tripod. I have had it forever and use it for my heavy 35mm film SLR Camera. Now I have a little Fuji FinePix Z20 fd point and shoot digital camera. Why forgo the convenience of having a pocket sized camera by lugging around an unwieldy, heavy traditional tripod? I, for one, do not like giving strangers my camera and asking them to take a snapshot of us (that is whoever I want in the shot with me). If someone takes off with your film camera, they take - what? 24 photographs and the money you invested in the camera? Most people (myself included) keep a bunch of snapshots on their digital camera's memory card. Now hundreds of pictures and your entire trip's memories are gone. So, if you don't trust people with your camera, you are stuck with the arms-length self portraits, or not having some person in the frame with you.

That is, until you purchase the Sunpak Platinum Plus FlexPod Gripper tripod. This is a tripod with flexible legs and self leveling feet. It's lightweight...
...

JennBash73 says "Best Camera with tons of options" about Canon - Canon Rebel Xsi

Instead of hiring a professional photographer for our wedding we decided to purchase a GOOD camera and have a friend take the pictures. Best idea and best money we ever spent. This camera is not only easy to use, but w/ the lense options to purchase and the photo programs out there we have professional quality photos that we love. Plus then we had it for our honeymoon and all other activities we do. With the fast shooting, it took several pictures in seconds so we could choose which ones we liked best. Plus it works out great at sporting events, you can catch some really great shots! We had no issues with getting it loaded onto the computer. The only thing you have to do is because the pictures are so good they are quite large details. So if you are just sending them over email, etc. then you may have to shrink the size or quality of the picture to send it over. But there are a ton of great, free, programs to store photos on the web that take care of all that for you! Highly recommend,...
...

The Kodak - Kodak Easy Share M753 digital camera is great for beginners as well as an experienced digital camera owners due to it's multi-function picture taking option capabilities. What I mean by that is there are over 10 different modes in which you can take your pictures acorrding to what action or event you are photographing which is really great in enhancing the expected images and getting the real shot you want. Examples are: nighttime shots, bright daylight shots such as at the beach, landscapes, up-close, portrait and my favorite, sports (for moving images, which is also fantastic if you have a shakey hand). My only real complaint is that yes do need a steady hand for most of these picture options but that is not something the adverage person will have trouble pulling off. It is a light camera and comes with a photo editing and storing programs, but in the long haul, I would suggest not using the Kodak software as it acts only as a shell and does not acctually rename or...
...

Only when Kodak stopped making my favorite 35mm film did I venture into the digital age and purchase this Kodak easy Share camera. While the instructions were simple, I was timid and uncertain about my ability to decipher the various buttons and menu items, and even more skeptical that the images I most wanted to preserve would actually be captured on the tiny card that came with my camera. Surprise! This camera is almost as easy as point and click. THe zoom feature gave me beautiful close-ups as well as stunning panoramic views. I was able to get wonderful detail from a reasonable distance, a task impossible on my previous cartridge-loading cameras. I really like the features that allow me to review photos and delete those I chose not to keep. It's nice to have immediate feedback, too, so that I can retake a picture if my intended target moved, changed, etc.

We love our Canon products! We have had tons of Canon cameras, printers and scanners. We had the previous version of this camera and when the Powershot SD 1000 we bought one for us, one for my mom and one for my father in law. I like that it has the video camera option and it is easy to switch back and forth. I thin the buttons and function in the menu are easy to figure out even if you don't have the manual on hand and of course we never do. I also like that since we have had Canon cameras for years the menus and settings stay pretty much standard to you get used to using it and don't have to relearn all of it every time you upgrade! I also like the fact that they have point a shoot settings that we can set it to and leave it on when our kids use it. I have found that it is very durable and with 4 kids that is always important! I am also never worried to carry it around since it is small and durable!
...

When shopping for a new digital camera I wanted to try and find one that was similary in body style to an SLR without the $500 price tag. Being that my previous camera was only 2mp I wanted something that while enlarging photos for printing I wouldn't have to deal with the horror of distortion. Looking at numerous camera from several manufacturers I finally decided on the Fuji Finepix S700. This camera has a great balance and design for fitting in your hand. It has plenty of choices for photo settings and I love the fact that I am able to use it photographing my daughter at soccer without the dreaded delay that most digital cameras have. Once you have the autofocus set, the pic is shot almost instantaneously hence you don't miss the shot and it's not a blurred mess! I absolutely love this camera and would highly recommend it to any level of photographer to use. You can't go wrong with the price either.
...

How much is this laptop? Do anyone feel it is worth it? I am looking for a new laptop, and this one looks cute. I have a toshiba, and it works. I want a computer that will look cute just like me. Everyday a shepard sent his son to take their few sheep out to pasture. We cant afford to lose even one. A young mouse begged his mother to let his first look at the world outside the mouse hole. The little mouse had not been gone five minutes when he saw me she waved her long tail as if she were glad to see me. Fear is a greater motivator. Self-esteem and self-understanding are two of the most important components of your persoanl make-up! A student can be brilliant in terms of mental disabilities, but may perform at a very low capacity because of unhealthy self-esteem. If you let other people rule your life, you will always have unhealthy self-esteem. You will feel helpless and out of control as long as someone else has power over your life.
...

bkovacs says "Keep the nasties away from your expensive Nikon camera" about Nikon BM-6 (25332) Screen Protector

My wife has a Nikon D200 digital single-lens reflex (dSLR) camera. It's now an older model, but it was expensive in its day and still takes excellent pictures. One of the beauties of digital photography is that nothing prevents you from taking hundreds of pictures, since there is no film to process and prints to buy. With a digital camera, you can just take pictures until you're confident you have at least one good shot.

This means that you will probably handle a digital camera far more than you did a film camera. Of course, the more you handle anything, the more likely it is that the item will become damaged at some point. Therefore, protecting an expensive camera becomes worthwhile if it doesn't cost much, adds little weight and doens't hamper operation. All three of those things apply to the Nikon BM-6 monitor cover, which is a clear plastic piece that snaps over the LCD monitor on the Nikon D200 camera.

As you can see from the picture to the right, I paid $12 for the Nikon BM-6 monitor...
...

bkovacs says "Powerful and flexible, but prone to failure" about Nikon - Speedlight SB600

My wife and I both have our own camera outfits. While I generally use a Canon G7 semi-pro compact camera, she has a beefy Nikon D200 dSLR. To go with her Nikon camera, she got a Nikon Speedlight SB-600 flash unit. The Nikon SB-600 sells for about $220 at Amazon, and it represents the middle of Nikon's flash range.

What it is

The Nikon Speedlight SB-600 is a flash unit that fits on top of the camera in a mount called a "hotshoe." Not only does the hotshoe provide mechanical support for the flash, it also has several electrical contacts that allow the camera to "talk" to the flash. The SB-600 holds four AA batteries -- we use good-quality rechargeables that last for as many as 500 flashes. Between the batteries and the Nikon SB-600's beefy construction, the unit weighs a pound or so.

The flash head on the Nikon SB-600 can be swiveled and pointed in any direction, from forward to backward to straight up. There is a small pull-out plastic lens that's used to spread the light out for wide-angle...
...

The Kodak Digital Frame SV811 is a good deal for the money because it lets you do a lot and is not too dificult to work with. However if you are not technically inclined, it can be a bit of a challenge, but worth it in the end.

The results are great once you get your pictures loaded in and figure out how to work with them. There are lots of selections for changing the display speed and how the frames display, which is fun. Also, the Kodak Easy Share editting software is pretty easy to use and have fun with. All in all, great value for the cost.

The only problem I have is that I cannot figure out how to get the audio part of the frame working so I have not been able to display my pictures to music. This is a disappointment to me. Maybe I have just not figured out the download from my computer correctly because I am not that technically proficient, although I download to my Ipod regularly and I would not think this would be too much harder to figure out. However, even without...
...

I love this HP picture frame. I originally got it so that my parents could use it to show off pictures of her kids and grandchildren with them on a vacation they were taking. But now I use it all the time. I love to take pictures and when I'm done and I've got a couple that I just want to have with me always, I'll just load it onto the picture frame. It takes SD cards so it makes it easy to load and store pictures. I put an 8GB card in there, but have loaded over 400 pictures and it's only taken up about 700MB... the pictures don't have to have a high resolution because it shows on a 3.5" size frame. But the quality is amazing. I've noticed that when the file size of the picture is smaller, than it doesn't take that long for the picture frame to load up in the beginning. The other thing I absolutely adore about this thing is that it doesn't need a power supply constantly attached to it like most picture frames, so I can just charge it up the night before and have it ready-to-go the next...
...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-F27, is the best camera that I have ever had. I have had it for years now and I am not sure how much I paid when I bought it, but I remember it was like 3 or 4 hundred dollars. So a little pricey but worth it. All the pictures I take are such great quality, many look like they were professionally taken. The flash is really bright too, I have used it in our backyard at night and majority of the pictures still turn out great. This camera has alot of settings that honestly I do not understand, but if you are one of those people who like to play around with cameras then you will have alot to choose from. I just put it on the easy setting and snap and click, so if you want it for that and great pictures it would be good for you too. As long as I have had it I think that shows the quality. I have had digital cameras before but like this one. Usually most digital cameras dont work as well after a year or two, or something new and better comes along. Since...
...

This Kodak Easy Share DX6340 has come in handy when selling my items on Ebay. It was given to me as a present a couple of years ago and has been nothing but fantastic ever since. I have used this camera so many times throughtout the few years that I have owned it and it has been dropped, kicked and stepped on yet it still continues to carry on. Though it does not have very high mega pixels it still takes very clear and bueatiful pictures. I really appreciate how easy this Kodak camera is to use. I am not very technically inclined, but I learned easily how to work this camera. I was able in a very short time to learn how to not only take excellent pictures but download the pictures onto my computor. Another aspect to this camera that I really enjoy is the handy little stand that connects directly to your computor. This is not only very convienent but it looks nice to. When I decide that I want to get another camera I would definitely consider another Kodak.
...

I don't like a lot of clutter in my house, but still want to show a lot of pictures of my friends and family. This picture frame allows me to display hundreds of photos with one frame...no clutter! :o) The frame is very nice looking, doesn't look cheap and lets you change the matting to match your colors. You can put music to your photos if you like and it plays in a constant slideshow. The pictures are very easy to download. You can put a usb device in and it takes them right from that. You can add and delete photos at anytime. They make great gifts, especially for grandparents or someone overseas. You could purchase it and put the photos on it before you send it to them....grandparents would love opening it up and already having the pics on there. I know you can also do stuff from the Kodak site with it, but I haven't gotten to that yet. Great for small spaces when you don't have a lot of room for...
...

I settled on a Vivitar ViviCam 8225. It wasn't the most expensive of the small cameras, but it wasn't a cheap little unheard-of brand either. It was on sale at the store I shopped (always a plus), and it came in a cute purple color (another plus).

The features included everything I was looking for, plus some I didn't think of but am glad I got. It has a 8X Digital Zoom, Anti Shake (which I definitely require in a hand-size camera), High Definition, Red Eye Reduction, a Self Timer, Face Detection, and includes a rechargeable Lithium battery, AC charger, and strap.

In addition, the ViviCam 8225 comes with the Vivitar Experience Software. I am very pleased with the pictures - definitely better than the camera phone!
...

seenrhed says "Great product." about Kodak-Digital Photo Frame

I received this for Xmas from my husband and absolutely love it. The Kodak digital photo frame is easy to use and navigate. I was impressed with its ease of use for my daughter to use. It has several input slots and the color is awesome and amazing. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to show off their photos all year round. Others that I have seen and tested are not so user friendly and complicated to use. The Kodak digital photo frame has a touch screen capability unlike no other. It works off of UL or batteries. We purchased this at such a great deal I wished he had purchased 2 of them just so that I could have one in another room. I do not keep this on all night and only cut it on when people are coming over or for special occassions. I like the ability to frequently change pictures so that I may keep my family up to date with the seasons and sport functions.
...

Dread09 says "The Ideal Gift For A Loved Family Member" about Kodak-Digital Photo Frame

I've been seing these digital photo frames at stores and all. I think this things is amazing. I didnt know you can put videos & music on them. Thats neat. I definately want to get one for my grandparents for christmas. It will be a great holiday gift. Not only that I can store all the pictures they ever took and every picture that they got on to the kodak digital photo frame. They proably never seen this before, but I got a great Idea they'll like it not only them the rest of my family also, but I recomend this to anyone who wants 2 get it for a family member like your grandma or grandpa even your mom in dad I think that makes it a perfect present for either the holiday or a birthday present. You wont have to deal with any more photo books anymore, because you can get a memory stick and store as much pictures as you want to. You just need a scanner to scan all your pictures into the computer.
...
