kkane says "What a major jump from mini tape recorders" about sony - Voice Recorder

I am impressed with the sound quality of these digital recorders. Easy to keep lectures seperately in folders and download to laptop. It comes with digital voice editor software and has playback speed controls so I can type the notes. I can easily email the notes to all my fellow students who missed a lecture both the voice data as an MP3 file and the notes I typed. It is compatiable with Dragon Naturally Speaking Software that will automatically transform my voice data into text. When you buy from Sony it is included with the recorder. Wonderful for a psychology student or a...

mqmystic says "Good bass and nice fit." about KOSS - SP3 Earbud

Koss SP3 Earbuds are a great bargain. They produce very good sound and are made very well. These earbuds have a lifetime warranty, comes with a protective pouch and extra cushion tips. I found that I can wear them for at least 5 hours comfortably. — The buds are made to direct the sound into the ear and has a rich deep bass sound. The way they fit in the ear makes them cancel out some of the outside noise. The frequency response is 10-20.000 Hz. Cord length is 4 ft. — The in-line mute switch is convienient. I was able to mute in a matter of seconds when I needed to do so. The drawback is the mute was a little sensitive to touch. — I wore these earbuds 2 days in a row for 5 hours each day. They stayed in my ears as I moved and I didn't have to adjust them while I worked. I have small ear openings and it is difficult to find a pair of buds reasonably priced that will stay in my...

meandthecats says "Almost too tiny, but works like a charm!" about Olympus - WS-300M Digital Voice Recorder and Music Player

I bought this tiny voice recorder to record class lectures and conversations with clients. The interface is easy to figure out and use. At first, I was dismayed because there is a lot of static if you touch the machine while recording. The microphone accessory (not included) seems to make this worse. For my purposes, I find that not using the mic and not touching the machine once it is set alleviates the problem. — I did not have much luck with (or trust in) the feature that allows recording only when someone is speaking. The pickup did not seem sufficiently sensitive, so if that is a feature you need, this may not be your machine. For straight voice recording, though, this little guy picks up even quite faint sound clearly. — What I really needed was an easy way to transfer my recordings to a PC so they could be recorded or emailed to others...and that, this machine does superbly, with a built-in USB port. It couldn't be easier! — The model I bought has 256...

motogp says "works well" about philips - MP3 Gear FM Transmitter

The G2G302C transmitter is a full spectrum FM transitter. It comes with a retractable 3.5mm stereo headphone connector. It has backlit lcd panel and 0.1 Mhz step. Works pretty well with my mp3 player and my car radio even in big metropolitan area with lots of FM channels. The full FM spectrum lets you search a good clean frequency. It also comes with a 12V cigarette lighter power adapter for use in cars. The transmitter connects to this 12V adapter via a female USB port. So you can also connect the transmitter to your computer or wall socket with a male-to-male USB cable and send musci files on your computer to your stereo. Works pretty well but could block some buttons on your car when plugged into the 12V...

Tony2 says "Largest portable screen and picture like flat screen TV." about Creative - Zen Vision W 30GB

I love the Zen Vision W. It has everything I need, I really like the speaker. The screen size is larger than similar products that cost more. The picture is very good, like a flat screen TV.The removeable battery is what sold me. It comes with the cable to connect to your TV, and an ac charger. Some similar players charge extra for the cable to connect to yout TV. Sometimes the player freezes. All you have to do is loosen the battery on the back and it fixes it. Watch out for stores that are charging extra for the ac...

These speakers are awesome. I just plug them into the headphone port of my computer, mp3 player, or cd payer, and rock the house. They are loud enough to be heard throughout my apartment and the sound quality is excellent. Perfect balance of bass and treble. I paid very little for them at Radio Shack and was pleasently suprised by the strength and quality of sound that I...

trader42 says "Big Bang for the buck " about Creative - Zen Vision W 30GB

All in all I am very pleased with this unit; especially for the price compared to comparable units. The magnesium casing is not a fingerprint magnet and should be very durable. The screen is fantastic; videos look great, nice photoviewer as well. My main gripe is the lack of a kickstand. I purchased this unit mainly for watching videos when traveling, so no kickstand is a small problem (maybe corrected when accessories start coming out). The CF reader is a nice feature, but the choice of CF over SD is kind of strange. At least an adapter is available. No video playlists is also a drawback. — Creative put a nice PMP together at a fantastic price. —...

I just purchase the Altec Lansing Speaker System for Zune model 604. I wanted to be able to listen to all the great music on my MP3 player without having to wear headphones in the house. This speaker system is one of only two choices specifically designed for Zune. This is the less expensive option and is good for the average user. It delivers great sound, has a remote control and charges your Zune while it plays. A big bonus for me is that it also has a connector so that we can play the music from our childrens MP3 players. The speaker system can also be attached to your computer or television. Overall a great product for the...

After getting my Infrant Ready NAS NV+, I promptly transferred all of my digital media to it (e.g. music, home video, etc). Having the NAS also gave me enough energy to finish ripping our entire music collection. After that was all done, I wanted to actually listen to the music that I just painstakingly collected. The Ready NAS has a built in slimserver which is some software which catalogues your music and allows for playback. — The devices which connect to the slimserver are called squeezeboxes. There are software versions of the squeezebox and a hardware version. The software version is great for listening to my music at work. After I opened a port in my firewall, I was able to point iTunes or Winamp to the slimserver running at home and listen to all of my music at work! Pretty nice. After about a week of this, I wanted this at home also... — Enter the squeezebox...
