I lovd my XM but when I got an ipod I stopped using XM and just listen to my Ipod. I only listened to a few stations so it was pointless for me to continue my subscription! It's great when you're travelling though and cant pick up any good radio...

My husband gave me an XM for Valentine's Day. At first, I wasn't all that enthused about it, but then I started listening to it more and more. Now I LOVE it!!! I can always find whatever music suits my mood. And there's something for every musical taste. — — —...

SIRIUS Sportster ROCKS! I have the car kit and the home kit and it was the greatest gift my brother gave me (including subscription.) — If he ever decided to stop paying for my subscription I would give up coffee to keep it. — If you love music, if you drive, well for that matter if you breath you have to get the SIRIUS Sportster! — The only time I lose signal is if I am in a long tunnel or stuck in traffic under the bridge or under alot of trees. —...

I started out with XM radio on one of those units that you stick to your dash and it plugs into the cigarette lighter thing. It worked great and I loved that no matter what state I was driving through there was a great signal and good music. — Then I went out a bought a new truck that had XM built in. At first I missed being able to see the name of the artist and the song at the same time, and I missed not being able to set it to tune to certain songs or artists that I liked to hear more than others...but I got over it! — I do love the variety on XM and that I can listen to it anywhere that I happen to be driving but I must say...I thought that XM was supposed to be commercial free, I mean that's why we have to pay for it right? Well I think that if you are paying for radio you should at least get to listen to it with out commercials. I'm not saying that they are real bad...you get usually one (slightly longer than normal) commercial every so often, but it's during those...

I have had this for about 2 years, and I love it. This makes my satellite radio potable. I can save songs and play them whenever I want. It is like having an MP3 player and a satellite radio all in one. I bought the rugged case for it to keep it safe, and I have had no problems, and have dropped it several times. It is very sturdy. You do not to buy a home dock and such if you want to be able to use it without headphones, but overall it is a great...

It's completely ridiculous to pay for satellite radio! You have to be out of your mind to pay for something you can get for free! But.........I do, and I'm addicted. Is it practical? Oh hell no, but I can't help myself, cause the music is fine, and the sound is impeccable. Ever been driving through the Nevada desert, or the mountain passes of Idaho or Montana and tried to find something on the radio other than the farm report or some right wing nut job ranting about something inane that we should all be concerned about in his or her feeble mind? Ever stopped for gas at some one horse town and wanted to listen to some music on the radio that didn't have a banjo or mandolin playing on it? Ever been commuting or cruising through the big city and listened to commercial after commercial about some new dating service for the truly dysfunctional, or about some new medicine for combating ear wax? If so, I got...

I enjoy my portable XM satelite receiver because I can listen to it in the car or in the house. I can record the songs I like and listen to them later or over and over if I want to. It's so cheap for me to get the pre paid minutes anywhere. Actually about to purchase another receiver so if I want to take the portable receiver to work I can and have another in the car. The only thing I don't like is the portable receiver in the car does not get good reception when it's cloudy and you can forget it if it's...

I thought my husband was quackers when he said he wanted to get an XM radio for the car. I'm like, what's wrong with the regular FM/AM stations? Well, he talked me into it (he always does) and we got one for our van. — — Well, to me, regular radio has nothing compared to XM radio! So what is XM radio? XM radio is a service provided my XM where you receive satellite radio stations in your vehicle. You receive over 230 stations of all types of genres. I enjoy listening to the Christian station, Radio Disney, The 60's station, XM Hitlist, Flight 26 and more. You can also listen to theater productions, old radio shows, The Weather Channel, traffic stations, sports and more. — — It costs between $19.99 and $149.99 or so to get the radio for your car, if you have it installed professionally, you have to add those costs to the product. You can pay monthly or yearly for the service. The longer you pay for, the cheaper it is per month. — — We have...

I've been an XM subscriber for over 2 1/2 years. Now it's become the background of my life! — My favorite stations are 202 and 164. 202 is the Virus, which plays Opie and Anthony and Ron and Fez all day. I am a much bigger fan of Ron & Fez...they are more of an edgy, intelligent extreme talk show, while O& A can have more of a frat house humor. Both contain "extreme language", but you can have the channel (and other channels such as extreme rap and metal) blocked. 164 has old time radio shows. Now, I am nowhere near that age....but it's really cool to fall asleep to real classics, such as the Lone Ranger, The Shadow, and Jack Benny. XM has many news and sports stations as well. The only problem is, they all run commercials to an extent. Only the purely music channels are commercial free. The reception at home is fine....however, my husband brings a portable unit to work, and he tends to lose...

XM is a must for everyone with a daily drive! The selections and variety are terrific, the price is right, and you can get great deals on equipment! — My husband and I have had XM for about 4 years now, and I would get rid of my Direct TV before I gave up my satellite radio! Being able to easily switch between a number of channels that play my favorite music genre (alternative), talk channels (love that Air America!) and public radio programming has me spoiled. — ...

I'd been considering satellite radio for years before I actually got one. My main reason for not purchasing at the beginning was only being able to listen in the car. They then developed a unit that could be moved from the car to a home base. I was still intrigued, but the thing that really made me get serious about satellite were the totally portable units like the Helix. I now have XM radio wherever I go. The size of cell phone, the unit streams live music (unlike previous portable models) and has the ability to download too. Whether straight off the air, or an upload from your computer, the ease of use is a bonus. I wondered whether I could justify $13 a month for music, but this is better than any average MP3 unit. Its like an incredibly huge music library at your fingertips. —...
