This mp3 player has met and exceeded all of my expectations! I was able to purchase this item on sale, which made it a very cost effective purchase for what my needs are. This mp3 player can do it all, as you are able to upload music from your computer to the player, listen to FM radio, and also utilize the voice recording function, which is surprisingly clear for the device being used. I generally charge my player when I have my computer turned on, but I have actually never ran out of battery life on this player, even after recording lectures in a classroom all day long. It comes with a USB cable that allows for easy uploading of music as well as havin a dual purpose as a charger, which is a nice change from having to buy several triple AAA batteries all the time to listen to music! The device is perfectly sized for someone who does not want a bulky music player to carry around and even has a clip that can be placed on a waistband for hands free option.
...

Juliet1198 says "Sansa e260 GREAT features, outstanding quality, fair price!" about SanDisk - Sansa e260 MP3 Player

My husband had gotten into running last year, and for Christmas expressed that he wanted an mp3 player. I did a LOT of research, read reviews online and spoke with friends who had various different players. I considered the ipods but when I found out that if you have an ipod/itunes on your computer ... you can't use any other mp3 players with that computer anymore. That wouldn't have been a big deal except that we have two boys who also LOVE to listen to music and I wasn't going to invest into an ipod for them while they are in elementary school.

The Sansa e260 is SO very easy to use, it offers wonderful features including not only mp3s but viewing photos, watching short video clips, listening to the radio (and has great reception even inside an office building). The unit has a lot of accessories available (arm bands, covers and the like) so you aren't limited at all in how you want to use it, and it is VERY easy to connect to the computer and sync.

We both were very happy with it,...
...

The Sansa 1 Gb mp3 player is a great little player without all the bells and whistles. The player is very small at only 3" long and 1" wide. It has a small screen to view options which are : play music, Fm radio, Recorder, settings, information, artists, album, playlist, equalizer, power, play all. The screen lights up in blue when the menu button is pushed so you can read it in the dark. There are stop, forward, reverse butoons as well. It takes a AAA battery which last a surprisingly long time with normal use . The mp3 player plugs in usb port easily and is easy to put music onto the player. There is also a headphone jack for headphones and this player gets descent sound as well. If you are looking for a player to take with you that will fit in your pocket or purse, that you do not want to worry about, this is the one to get. It is also kid friendly. My son has dropped this several times and it is very durable. He has had it for a year and there are no scratches, dents, or anything on...
...

Taffypull says "My Newest Addiction " about Apple - iTouch

I just got my Apple IPod Touch 32 gb for my birthday that just past in September from my wonderful husband. He got it for only $16 but that is a whole other story for another time.

I got it and I really love it and can't imagine my life with out. The abilities are amazing. The only thing I don't like is the fact that I can't be on the internet anywhere that doesn't have a Wi-fi connection. I guess I need to look into paying for a connection so that I can use it at all times.

The really cool thing about the Ipod Touch is you can use it for just about anything the only thing it's missing from the phone is the phone and the camera. It has everything else including Bluetooth.

There are so many applications out there that you can use to make the Ipod Touch unique to you and make things easier for you to use. There is Facebook, Twitter, Google, tons of your favorite stores, movie programs, networking sites, GPS stuff and so many games and other things you can use. The sky is really the limit...
...

bigga says "the best i ever had" about Sony - Walkman NWZ-S616F

The first word that came out of my mouth when I listened to a track on this MP3 / Video player was WOW! The sound quality that this tiny little device generates is just amazing. When it comes to MP3 players, I'm VERY picky. I look for a device that gives me rich, crystal clear, high quality sound... with BASS! And this Walkman delivers it. That's not to say that other brands don't deliver high-quality crystal clear sound, but at the same time, not all brands deliver it with outstanding bass and balance. At least, not for this price range.

The equalizer on this Sony Walkman is just perfect, as far as I'm concerned. When you crank up the bass level, you get exactly that - thick, solid bass, without distorting the earphones or affecting the treble. You can either select the presents that are pre-loaded in this device, or customize the frequency levels until you reach your desired sound.

At 4GB, this Walkman can hold approximately 900 songs if they are at 128 kbps in MP3 format. But personally,...
...

The iPod Touch comes in 3 models: 8GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The smallest of the three starts at $199 and is considered a 2nd generation, where as the the 32 and the 64GB models are 3rd generation models and are $299 and $399 respectively. The difference between the 2nd and 3rd generations is in the internals, they have faster, more powerful processors that support Open GL, this is must for gamers. Apart from that the iPod line is pretty much similar. They all can operate under the newest operating system (3.12 as of this review). It has all the functions that you have grown to love about the iPod with the addition of endless possibilities with wifi support and an app market place with over 100,000 applications. Built-in bluetooth technology allows ipod touch users to connect to each other for gaming, exchanging contacts and whatever the development market has thought up in application in the iTunes App store.

You interact with the iPod Touch via the capacitive touchscreen and supports Apples...
...

This is an excellent choice for anyone still wanting to make the jump from Vinyl Records and CDs to their very FIRST MP3 player.

I owned this littlte item and upgraded to a 4GB MP3 player after...

I would highly reccomend anyone to buy a Sandisk brand MP3 Player, 1GB or at least 2GB when you're new to the MP3 game.

You don't have to spend over 100 Dollars for an IPOD simply for the APPLE BRAND

You can buy a Sandisk MP3 player and save money and use the left over money for other things..

The Sandisk MP3 player is very very very easy to use, you don't even have to read the Manual that comes with the box. Just plug it in, charge and download music.

The Zenex on the Move MP5115-2 MP3 player is a pretty good buy for the money. It is a 2GB player with other features. It has not only the music option but also a movie, record, voice, fm-radio,photo,e-book and set-up options as well. I mostly listen to the radio as I drive because my radio in the car does not work. It has great reception. It also has a built-in speaker so it can be used without the ear phone. It holds a charge for about six to eight hours and is easy to chrge on the computer with a USB cable. Charging takes about 2 hours. It is very lightweight and fits easily into a pocket. I do not use a cover and have never had a problem with not using one. It holds many songs and it is easy to add more. I use Sony earphones and the sound is great. The system is also expandable if you want to add more gigabytes of memory. All in all I would say the Zenex on the Move MP5115-2 MP3 player was a fine investment.
...

Creative Zen Nano Plus 256 MB is a pretty good player. It eats battaries like crazy though.I have to change them every 2-3 days. It has a lot of good features like FM radio and FM record where you can record any song from radio station live. It holds a couple of albums. It is about 24-25 songs depending on the song. The sound is very good. It is loud enough to hear only to what you are listening to when you are in the crowded place, airplane or at the gym. It's small and can fit anywhere. I put in my pocket. It came with a USB cord so you can transfer songs from your computer directly to the player. It support only English Language though. If you have songs with names in different languages it will show as just random charachters in your player or will not show at all.

Disadvantages are: it is very sensitive. you can't drop it too many times. I dropped it once and the battery cover fell off and broke. Navigation is pretty weird with a little scroll and it takes time getting used to it....
...

This was the first ipod I ever bought and for a first time ipod it is not half-bad. I bought this ipod used and had it for two years before I replaced it with a new ipod nano. It is a good ipod if you don't have many songs or movies you want to have on your ipod. I needed more space so I bought a newer version. Surprisingly, this ipod has a better battery life then the ipod I own currently. There are a couple games on this ipod like solitare. I think a con for this ipod is that the screen is very small and when you put albums covers they are hard to see. I was able to buy many cases for this ipod since it is an older generation. I bought six or seven nice ones at the local one dollar store, not a bad deal at all. The Apple - iPod Nano (2nd Gen) 2GB is a decent ipod for the price and if you are looking for something that does not have a lot of space. It holds around four hundred songs I believe. I would reccomend this ipod.
...

I will start this review with a little disclosure. I have always been more of a mac fan than microsoft, and I received my zune as a gift. While it is better than average for a microsoft product, it still falls short of the ipod touch. When I first got my zune, I was impressed with how easy it was to load on all my music, pics, video, etc. It does a solid job as an mp3 player. It has all the usual shuffle and playlist functions. However, unless you're going to take the time to access some of the wifi services it offers, then you should definitely buy an ipod touch. I have not actually accessed these services because I'm lazy, but if you are really into music I would check it out. The zune also just doesn't have the same accessories or applications as the ipod touch. The variety of things you can do just seems limited compared to the ipod touch. So in summary, unless you got a zune as a gift, you should go get an ipod touch.
...

The Sansa Fuse is a great little MP3 player. I love the fact that it is so small and lightweight. It holds 4G of memory and has an SD card slot to add additional memory. Or the slot may be used for slot music. That means pre-loaded music on an SD card that plugs directly into the player. IPOD does not have that! You don't have to download music or even be near a computer to have music to play on the player. I think that is great. And you can take the SD cards just about anywhere if you don't want to take your Sansa Fuse. I highly recommend this product not only because of it's great features, but also because of it' s functionality and ease of use.
...

My two daughters each got one of these for Christmas last year and they were totally psyched!! They are close to 3 inches long about a half inch wide. Black top and gray back. The end has a cap that comes off and you plug it straight into your usb port in your computer to charge up or add your music. On the side you have your + and - buttons for volume. On the other side you have your power button and hold button. The headphone jack is in the opposite side of your removable cap for charging/downloading music. Its a 1.0 gb which is all my kids need. Made in China. The volume turns up quite high. Around the tiny screen that tells whats playing in bright blue letters theres a Play and pause, a rewind a fast forward and a stop button. You can't really do too much with this mp3 player it does have a menu Music Options: Music List, Add to Go list... dunno what that is and shuffle, repeat, equalizer and clear go list. It has a battery meter and after fully charged it can play for about 8 hours...
...

The apple itouch is so awesome! I can honestly say having one has changed my life.

It's just like a tiny portable computer you can keep with you at all time. You can listen to your music, surf the internet, and play games.

Of course you need a wi-fi access point to surf the net, but once online, you can download songs straight to your itouch, as well as games, and even check email, and catch up with your friends on the social network of your choice.

I use mine for gaming and internet more than listening to music. Apple has many addicting gaming applications. All make use of the touch screen. Which always makes games way more fun.

Download times are super fast, the screen is real time responsive, and the sound qualityis great. (Although the external speaker does sound a bit muffed, not so bad it can't be lived with.) I think every one should get one. The more you use it, the more you realize you can't live without it!
...

The Sansa m240 is a great mp3 player to buy. It isn't very expensive, and it works great. It is perfect for a first mp3 player. I had one for two years, then i gave it to someone else and it is still working after four years. I never had to replace it or return it. It is small, and easy to use. There aren't a lot of confusing buttons, and the menu is simple. It really does work good, especially for the price. It uses regular AAA batteries, so you don't have to plug it in to your computer, which comes in very handy. The voice recorder and radio also work well. It is also very easy to download music to. If you are looking for something simple, that just plays music, and then I would definitely recomend this. It also comes with a see through case so that it doesn't get scratched. I really don't think that there is anything bad about it.
...

jrwasko says "Never again would I even consider the Zen lineup" about Creative Zen - 64GB Flash Memory

My friend has had one with a hard dive for several years now and nver had a problem. So, since they were less expensive than the Apple line I made the dive and bought one. The main difference was mine use flash memory not an internal drive. With 64gb and and expansion slot I could hold a to of music and video no problem at all. That was very true as I hardly put a dent in the space that was available the 6 months I usd it. I absolutely loved the FM radio to listen to my favorite morning shows at work. Navigating your collection is not nearly as slick as Apple but it does the job. Where the unit falls short is how it constantly locks up. You have to be very carful using the unit as the slightes wrong move will lock it. Then you need to go through a sequence to reset the unit. After living with this problem for several months the unit finally locked up permanently. It was 7 months old and would cost me $200 to fix the unit. A brand new unit was not that much more so...
...

kimmyluvscoffee says "Don't Judge this MP3 Player By Its Size" about SanDisk - Sandisk Sansa 4g clip

I own this little thing and it's absolutely fantastic. I love my 4GB Sandisk MP3 Player :)

The item is small, (fits into the palm of your hand), handy, convenient, and fits into every pocket imaginable...

Just because it looks small doesn't mean it can't do what an Apple Ipod can do.

Instead of saving up to buy an Apple Ipod, save your money, buy this item and you can do more things with the left over money. :)

Sound quality is absolutely amazing , features are very easy to use and charges in no time.

Best investement I made when I wanted to buy an MP3 Player.

I promise you won't regret purchasing this. :)

Larupi says "I use this MP3 Player every week" about Samsung - YP-U3J QLY MP3 Player

I like the quality of the Samsung U3 MP3 player. I also use the Rhapsody music player that came with the MP3 player. I buy songs directly from Rhapsody sometimes. Rhapsody is great for managing your music files and playing music on your computer. The U3 menu plays Artists, Albums, Songs, Genres, and Playlist. You also get a voice recorder and FM Radio. The volume turns up loud enough for comfortable listening. I have listened to soft recorded songs that I turned the volume up all the way. Still the volume was at a comfortable level. The stylish U3 is available in pink, green, white, blue and black. To connect the U3 to your computer just press the USB button and a USB connector pops out.

Now Samsung has the U5 that sells for about $39 at Best Buy. I would expect the U5 to have the same great quality as the U3. I bought the U3 about a year and half ago and it has held up under heavy use. The tiny little thing is sturdy built. I have dropped it a few times and...
...
