vova says "cool is cool" about Klipsch Image S4i Earphones with Microphone Earphone / Headphone

he Klipsch Image S4 earpieces do not feel as high-end as those of its sibling, the X5, but then the S4 only costs one-third as much, so we won't knock them for that. More important is the fact that the 'buds are ultrasmall and offer a tapered, bent shape that fit our ears perfectly. This combined with the soft, oval eartips gave us a supercomfortable fit that sealed out external noise. Klipsch includes two sizes of standard tips and one double-flanged model, but all of them are on the small side, so those with larger ears may have some fit issues. The package also contains a metal box for storing the earphones and an earwax cleaning tool.

Our only real design concern about the Image S4 earphones is the cable. It's very thin, from the Y section descending from each earpiece to the gold-plated 3.5mm plug at the end. This raises some concern for durability, though this is allayed slightly by Klipsch's inclusion of a two-year warranty. Also, the reinforced L-plug should help prevent breakage...
...

asheeolee says "The iTrip provides good sound quality and is a good value" about Griffin Technology iTrip Auto (7259) (7259-TRIPUNP-2) Car / Plane Charger, FM Transmitter

I found one of these for a really really good deal on Amazon - it was priced at one cent, with four dollars and ninety-nine cents shipping, so I figured I would go ahead and give it a try.

It turned out that it was not a bad quality product at all - in fact, it is easy to use, provides good sound quality (except through heavily populated areas, but that was somewhat expected because of the nature of the product), and it was very easy to use.

I was unsure of its compatibility with my newer iPod model, but it worked like a champ, and now I use it all the time in the car and I could almost not be happier with this product.

The only complaint I have is that sometimes it is hard to find a station that my iPod transmits to clearly, but once I do it works wonderfully, so I put up with it.

I would recommend this product to just about anyone (whether technologically inclined or impaired) who is looking for an FM transmitter that works well for everyday use is a good value for the price (but don't...
...

sugarshots108 says "Can't even believe the sound that comes out of this!" about Bose Speakers - SoundDock - iPod Docking Station

I absolutely love the Bose IPOD Dock. My husband and I bought ours last year and have not stopped using it since. The sound that comes out of this little portable device is amazing. You can truly have a houseful of music just by turning this on. You can also hook it up to your computer through the audio jack so if you do not have extra speakers or speakers at all in your computer, this is another great option for that a sit can be used for multiple tasks. Super easy to move around as it is lightweight. Love that the docking station for the IPOD rotates back into the speaker so dust and dirt do not accumulate when you are not using it. Compared to other IPOD docking stations, this is a bit pricey, but it is worth it for the Bose quality of sound! And it charges your Ipod while you listen. It charges faster if it is plugged in to the wall, but the cord can also be taken out and it will still charge. Great item to spend a little money on!
...

i found this beauty on Amazon.com believe it or not. i didn't think it would sound very good or be able to handle my rock music. i was very suprised. the sound quality was excellent for such a small piece of equipment- nothing like my 15 inch dual speaker stereo, but very good sound quality. i included the model number so you could get the right one because this little dock station adapts to iPod nano, and shuffe. i just love. the alarm is really good too. it wakes me up everytime!
...

pitcherday says "I liked it, and now it's dying, so... now not so much" about Griffin Technology iTrip Auto (7259) (7259-TRIPUNP-2) Car / Plane Charger, FM Transmitter

All right... well my car's CD player does not work in the winter, and the silence is more than I can bear. I wanted to listen to my 3rd generation iPod Nano over the radio. I picked the iTrip Auto. iTrip makes a few different kinds of broadcasters for the iPod, but this one plugs into the sockets in your car and charges the iPod while it's playing. That's a huge bonus for me. My computer hates my iPod. It rejects it all the time like it's an alien virus.

The iTrip Auto charges an iPod super fast. Probably ten times faster than using the USB port in your computer. I almost never have to use the computer to charge it. The part that goes in the power socket has an indicator light on it. If it glows red, it's charging the iPod. When it turns green your iPod has been completely charged. Keeping it plugged in after it's totally charged doesn't hurt it any.

The cord for it is really long. In the middle, there is a rectangular digital display for tuning to the station. The numbers are large and...
...

Brookstone's BoomBucket is a quality portable speaker system designed specifically for the iPod family. It's versatile in use. My teenager uses it while washing dishes and routinely turns the kitchen into a dance club. My wife also uses the BoomBucket for her recreation league cheer squad. It’s volume is not as effective on a football field with cheering parents, but those paying attention to the cheerleaders can hear the music.

The BoomBucket's remote is an added convenience. With it you can shuffle songs, adjust volume, or access your iPod's menu. You can also shuffle songs using the iPod itself. The BoomBucket is rechargeable and allows you to simultaneously charge the bucket and your iPod. The one thing I would change is to be able to connect my iPhone.

The Coby CV-EM86 High-Performance Isolation Stereo Earphones for Cell Phone have been a life-saver for long phone calls, as well as for listening to podcasts or music while on the iPhone. The Earphones come with two sizes of covers which you insert into the ear to accomodate different ear sizes, and include a microphone embedded in the wires. The Earphones come with a carrying case for the different sets of covers, as well as a "fishbone" to weave your wires through so they stay untangled.

The sound quality of the Coby Earphones is very good, and the microphone comes through clearly without distortion or carrying too much background noise. The Earphones successfully isolate background noise so you can hear your caller clearly.

Compared to other earphones with microphones, the Coby CV-EM86 High-Performance Isolation Stereo Earphones for Cell Phone are inexpensively priced and easy enough to replace if one, oh, loses them one month into getting them!
...

toastqueen says "Incredible sound" about Bose Speakers - SoundDock - iPod Docking Station

The Bose Sound Dock is one of the best gifts I have ever received! The sound quality is incredible, crisp, clear, and you notice undertones you don't with ear buds or a less expensive docking station, and the size of the dock is unobtrusive. The dock has several different inserts which allows it to accomodate different appliances, different mp3 players, with or without cases; I have yet to find an insert which doesn't work.

The Bose Sound Dock is fairly portable, and is small enough to fit on a kitchen shelf, or anywhere your music or audiobooks wish to be! The Bose Sound Dock also comes with a small, thin remote, so you can control your music without having to get up out of your seat!

The Bose Sound Dock is expensive, but you definitely get the quality you pay for. You will realize the full potential of your music, hearing every beautiful innuendo that the composer intended.

The ipod menu can be accessed from the remote, which is another nifty feature and the portability makes it handy for trip to the creek or beach or a picnic or where ever. It has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that lasts forever. And the dock that the ipod sits in rotates around to the open and closed postiton. It has a convenient carrying handle on the back and also comes with the wall charger for keeping the battery full. The one con: The price! Four hundred dollars for a set of speakers?! Which is exactly why I asked for them as a Christmas present, lol.
...

Junell says "Makes my work-out fun :) " about Apple/Nike + iPod Sport Kit

The iPod Sport Kit was recommended to me so I decided to try this out. I use this when I go to the gym or aerobics but mainly when I go for walks. It's simple to use and it motives you to do better with each task. The one thing I don't like is that it freezes up sometimes when you switch quickly from sport mode back to your main iPod menu. I've had to reset my iPod Nano twice so far. Also, this will not work on crosstrainers or stationary bikes since you're not physically taking steps. Some gym machines are iPod-ready but it depends on where you go.

If you don't have Nike shoes...there are covers you can buy (bought mine on-line) to hold your sensor to fit on any shoe with laces.

I enjoy the fact that you can find out exactly how far you've walked with a simple push of a button on your iPod. I love hearing my progress as I listen to my music during my workout.
...

Perfect for Traveling

Much of the time having an auto charger for my iPhone isn't that big of a deal, but I can go from never needing it for months to it seeming nearly like a life or death situation. Admittedly, that's a huge exaggeration, but suffice it to say I can go from not needing it at all to it being very important.

The first one I bought was when our home phone and electric were out with a bad storm. I needed contact with the outside world and my iPhone was dead, so I went to the store and bought a charger. The cord wasn't the best on it, and the connection snapped after awhile. My son had one that came with a complete connection kit for his iPod, and that worked for a small while, but you had to really play with it to find the right placement to get it to charge. Now I'm finding myself needing a charger again. It's football season and for us that means an hour plus of travel both there and back some weeks. If it's raining, the game still goes on, so I like to have my phone with...
...

This is a great accessory for your iPod! It works as an alarm clock, radio and you can plug your iPod in it. It receives great sound and is clear. When you set your alarm, you can choose to wake to the beeping sound, the radio or your iPod. It has a snooze feature as well. Definitely just a great asset to the iPod. There are many docking stations out there but don't be fooled. I'd definitely always go with the iHome brand. With the iHome brand, you know you are getting a quality product. It may be a bit more than other brands but it is definitely worth it.
...

These Logitech x-240 pc speakers exceeded my expectations. The sound is wonderful and the bass is better than some home stereos. I also love the ipod/zune cradle because it allows me to easily synchronize my music and photos and charge my portable music devices simultaneously. These speakers come with a subwoofer that you can switch on or off for awesome bass and the mp3 cradle has volume controls on the side and a convenient headphone jack. The cradle also has several connections for various portable music devices, pdas, or compatible mobile phones. I highly recommend this because it gives you more than just great pc sound.
...

The iHB5 iHome radio is a fairly decent iPod docking system. The radio works very well and comes with an antenna to use for better reception. You can set about 8-10 radio stations on the iHome. Both AM and FM stations work fairly well on the iHome.

Another nice feature of the iHB5 iHome is that you can plug in a portable CD player. It would be very nice if the system had a CD player in it already, but the ability to plug in a CD player is nice to have.

My only problem with the system is that the alarm does not always work well. The two options are iPod or radio, but no buzzer. Also, the alarm does not always go off at the set time. This may just be an issue with my system, but it would help if the alarm was better.

The Philips SBA1500 portable speaker system is both convenient and efficient. The system can be used with any mp3 player or any CD player with earphone hookups. It is superior to most speaker systems because it has a built in driver that produces a fuller sound than many other speaker systems. They fill up a small room and even work well outdoors. It stores in a convenient little ball and has a fool proof set-up. It takes three AAA batteries which last for an exorbitant amount of time. I was very pleased with this little gadget.

MayaBree says "Pushes me to move more and do better then the last time." about Apple/Nike + iPod Sport Kit

Nike+ Sensor was added to my tools to keep me healthy, June 2009. I love it and use it all the time! I was more excited when I found out that I didn't have to have the special shoe.

Pros:

The Sensor talks to you through your iPod, you can even pick a male or female voice. You set it up with the information you want it to tell you.

It is small and there are rubber cases available that will attach your sensor to any shoe.

There is a sleep button so when it is not in use you are not using up all of the power.

If you are a marathoner and can't use a MP3 player in your runs there is an arm band that will collect the data for you without the music.

It is cost effective and a replacement sensor is only $20 bucks on Amazon.

Comes with a free personal trainer website that stores and tracks your workout log. It has challenges and fun things that you can do against other people or yourself.

Cons:

It is kind of small, easy to lose if you take it off your shoe on a regular basis, I...

...

nadine-c says "Great Sound Dock!" about Bose SoundDock Portable Music Pack Docking Station for iPod Black (309220-1100)

I used to own the none-portable Bose iPod Docking Station however this one doesn't have volume control problems and is very convienent. I bring this Docking Station in the bathroom with me when every time I shower and bathe the kids; I haven't had one problem with the unit regardless of the steam. I also bring it by the pool with the kids all the time and it projects great sound for us! I've had this unit for about a year and half and the non-portable unit for the same time period-I feel it's worth it to spend the extra money for this unit. One of my children bought it for me as a birthday present- they worked at Best Buy and this system was one of their top rated sound docks, there were never returns, exchanges, or warranty problems. It's simple to use, the controls are convenient and the remote allows you to change playlists. This system definitely lives up to the Bose brand name!
...

xfile7325 says "Altec Lansing inMotion iM600" about Altec Lansing inMotion iM3 Speakers

This is a wonderfully slender machine, with excellent full sound, with one odd flaw. I get great sound from the radio and when I plug in an iPod through auxiliary, but only get sound through the left… speaker when I use the iPod dock. And I've tried three of them (iPods). Sadly, when I spoke to Altec I got one of those responses that makes my blood run cold; "That's not an issue we've ever heard of before." Otherwise it charges quickly, runs for a long time and is all that is advertised.

I bought this for my 16 year old for Christmas '08. I did a lot of research before choosing this product. The research paid. It is easy to use once you familiarize yourself with its bells and whistles. The… speaker system is loud, yet not too loud. It is compact and easy to pack up and go. If I had had my Ipod at the time I would have purchased one for myself. I am looking at the newer model for myself. If the price does not go down soon I will be purchasing this one. Both my son and I are very...

...

ChicagoTarra says "application that holds you accountable for your daily intake" about FitNow, Inc - Lose It! App for iPod Touch/iPhone

Let me first start off by saying that I am new to calorie counting and maintaining a food log.

Lose it! Application for iPhone 3GS is effortless to use. You'll always have your log because you always have your phone, battery life remaining of course.

I started this program about 1.5 weeks ago and am already down 2 lbs! (woo hoo!)

The reason why I think it's working is because keeping track of your daily intake makes you more self aware. I have been under my calorie budget most days. Keep in mind, you must be honest with yourself or you won't see results. If you had some candy, (ok, ok the whole candy bar) you need to log it accordingly.

Also, I find when I excercise there is something great about seeing it as proof!

This Lose it! App also keeps me on track with calories. I was at the movie theater to see Harry Potter and was debating on movie popcorn, after typing in a small one with a coke I quickly decided that being over 400 calories for the day was NOT worth it.

Great app...
...

snooperz says "Altec Lansing BackBeat 106s are a good upgrade" about Altec Lansing - Altec Lansing BackBeat Classic UHP106

As the features, Altec Lansing provides three sets of extra silicon tips with the buds. The headphone wire of the set is about 46 inches long and is covered with cloth mesh and not with the traditional rubber or plastic. You will find the material of the wire to be extremely tangle resistant and rugged. The headphones lack any built-in mic to be used with your cell phones.

As far as the sound quality is concerned, what can be expected out of a $20 headphone? The 106 model produces good enough sound for $20. Do not expect to be blown away by the sound. The sound is just good to do. The bass of the earphones is good but is less as compared to that offered by the 206 and 326. At the highest volume, the sound does distort a bit.

If you are on an extremely tight budget, yet you want a pair of earphones that will give you good performance, be sure to be impressed by the $20 BackBeat classic 106. For those of you who do not like the shipped earphones in the Apple iPod package, the Altec Lansing...
...
