DESCRIPTION:

QH-660

Professional Studio / DJ headphones

• Closed-ear design for maximum noise isolation with punchy, booming bass and crystal clear highs
• Highest power handling capacity and high sensitivity for maximum volume capability
• 90° swivel earcups for ease of storage and for single DJ monitoring use
• Wide adjustable padded headband and soft cushions for unmatched comfort and fit

I got a deal on these headphones. They normally would cost $50.00 each but I got a two for $50.00 deal. I bought them new. I thought I was getting a good deal, Only problem is that both of them broke not too long after I bought them.

The part that connects the headband to the actual ear speakers is just a cheap snap-on clip made out of thin plastic and it broke off. I did not tamper with it or anything, it just broke. Now I still use the headphones but I put a lot of tape around it and a few rubberbands to hold the ear speakers onto the headband.

as for the sound quality: The sound...
...

asketcher2 says "Good generic brand." about JVC - Gumy In-Ear Headphones

I have trouble finding comfortable earbuds to go in my sansa mp3 player. The ones that came with the mp3 player hurt my ears. My ears are shaped differently, so one bud might be comfortable in one ear will be too big for the other ear.

I bought these thinking that they might do the trick. With the word Gummy in the name brand, I really thought they would be more pliable and easier on my ears. Well, they do fit one ear fine, but the other ear it hurts. I don't care for this brand of ear buds.

But, to be fair, my daughter loves this brand. She thinks they are quite comfortable and she really loves the sound quality of these ear buds. When she is working out she can make it loud enough to hear through all the other sounds of the gym. But, it also allows her to hear sounds around her, which is especially helpful when she is walking through the city. She also loves all the colors that these ear buds come in and the price is relatively affordable.

If you have trouble with ear buds fitting comfortably,...
...

Got these about a year ago on sale for 90 bucks which they said they were originally 200 bucks so i thought it was a good deal. I use them with my laptop, psp, zune and ipod touch. I honestly think the zune gives the best quality sound of the 4. These are great headphones but it one of those things that many people don't need or can barely hear the difference after being around high quailty sound alot i can tell the differences and using crappy headphones is like sticking chop sticks in my ears. I love this buds and use them on a daily basis i dont know what i would do without them. I got the extended warranty which was cheap so if I do ever have problems with them breaking I'm not worried. They give you many different types of covers to fit your ears perfect, i liked the foam yellow ones always give a nice perfect seal, only thing i really dislike is the yellow foam tips started turning black from the case they come in and now people think there nasty and dirty when there really...
...

When my old headphones decided to beat the dust, I reluctantly went to Target to find a cheaper pair. These looked decent and for $15, they weren't cheap. I figured it would be fine. I was both right and wrong in this same instance.

Please note - I'm using these headphones strictly to listen to music at work. This review isn't factoring in specific features that would be important to some people - i.e. how to the bass and treble sound. Personally, I could care less. I just want it to work!!

Initial Impression

From the start, I liked these headphones. They folded up, meaning I could easily stow them away if needed or keep them set up to everyday use. They plugged in to my computer speakers without a problem and quite honestly, I've never had any problem with them. I had high hopes from these headphones since they are made by a company founded in 1917.

What I like

The Magnavox "Foldable Lightweight Headphones," or MHL 1600, really do have a great thing going for them. If you don't want anything...
...

Jo says "I watch TV; my husband works. Thank you Sony Infrared Headphones" about Sony - Infrared Cordless Headphones MDR-IF240RK

To the Point

The problem isn't new but the technology to fix it seems to be new - at least new to us. The problem was that our house has an open floor plan meaning my husband's office and our living room are connected. I got used to reading the closed caption wording but sometimes my reading was slower than the words on the screen.

In comes wireless headphones. I tried out a pair of Radio Shack brand headphones at our daughter and son-in-law's but my husband ended up buying me the Sony Infrared Cordless Headphones MDR-IF240RK.

A Closer View: The features

The Sony Infrared Cordless Headphones

come with a transmitter. The transmitter is placed near the television and comes with an AC power adapter.

come with a connecting cord. The box says that the connection to the TV, Audio, or PC equipment is easy. It probably is. For some reason it took us awhile to figure out what plugs went into what holes.

cardinalsfan86 says "Don't fit well- at all" about Sony - In- Ear Headphones - Blue (MDRE10LPPB)

I do not know if my ear size is abnormal, but these ear buds do not fit the insides of my ear and were constantly falling out of place. They became rather annoying during any type of exercise and were constantly coming out of my ear. Even during just normal walking or activities, it seemed to be if I moved a certain way or just even brushed up against the cord, out they would come. I thought I would give these headphones a try given the sony name brand because I do like the ear bud style, but these were no better for me than any of the other ones, and I was highly disappointed. The sound quality on these headphones was mediocre at best, but for the price you will pay, that is not something you should be complaining about. Cord length on these was decent, but it still did not prevent me from accidentally knocking the buds out. I might recommend these to someone who just wanted a cheap pair of headphones for listening to music in the car or while sitting at a computer, but not to...
...

I am a runner who was in a constant search for a pair of headphones that would actually fit the size and shape of my ear and stay in place during long runs without constant readjustment. Enter the Phillips over the ear headphones. This pair of headphones is the most comfortable earpieces I have ever used, and I never have to worry about them falling out during exercise. While I had one pair that I used almost daily for a year that began experiencing static issues, I am now on my second pair for what is close to a year, and they are still working great. I am not someone who places extreme value in sound quality, but I feel as though my music comes through clearly, and the quality seems just fine for me. I believe I found these at Target or Walmart for around ten to twelve dollars, so you really cannot complain because the prices are so low for this product. If you are someone who is tired of constantly putting the little earbud pieces back in your ears while at the gym, these...
...

pitcherday says "Easily the best solution for listening & not waking your partner" about C. Crane Company - SoftSpeaker Pillow Speaker

When I bought my CC Radio Plus, I also bought the SoftSpeaker Pillow Speaker with it. Not so impressed with the radio, but I love, love, love this pillow speaker! It's really innovative and I have never seen another one like it anywhere.

If you want to listen to the radio in bed, but your partner is not too keen on the noise, this SoftSpeaker Pillow Speaker is for you. It's a speaker phone inside foam and covered with a removable, washable, fuzzy blue soft cover. It's only $19.99 on the website, which is cheaper than the earbuds for my iPod, and this has lasted a whole lot longer than those did.

Since it's a speaker in a pillow, you just lay with one ear on it, and you can hear the radio without bothering your partner. the foam inside the speaker pillow is soft and probably will conform to any ear or pillow. You can keep the volume of the radio low, but in my experience, even when I didn't have my ear right on the speaker and turned the volume up a little, it was not loud enough to disturb...
...

I listen to a lot of music on my laptop, but the headphones that came with my MP3 player hurt my ears, so I borrowed my husband's JVC Gumy In-Ear Headphones, but they hurt my ears worse. I wanted a pair of headphones that completely encased my ears and I found them: Philips Stereo TV Headphones. These headphones are perfect for me - they don't hurt my ears, they sound great and they are inexpensive.

Philips Stereo TV Headphones are over-the-ear headphones. They don't sit on top of your ears like the old CD player headphones used to, these literally cup your whole ear and encase it. What makes these different from other over-the-ear headphones is that they have a 20 foot cord so that you can plug them into your television and wear them while sitting on your couch. I bought them to plug into my laptop, so I don't need their 20 foot TV cord, but they happened to be the cheapest over-the-ear headphones at Target ($22.00) so I bought them.

I bought a pair of these headphones to replace a pair of koss they looked good but the sound is not impressive for a pair of full-sized headphones it is clear and not distorted but it is mostly mid-range it lacks low-frequency (below 80 hz) and very high frequencies (above 12khz) is where it begins to lack performance they sound these output is more comparable to a cheap pair of open-ear headphones you find at family dollar i was also very dissapointed with the volume control included on it if you turn it down it only turns one of the earphones down unless you set it all the way down so it's basically useless also i found the mono-stereo switch very stupid because for no reason in the entire world would someone want to listen to something in mono another thing i found irritating was the earcups make your ears hurt and can be very painful after about an hour wearing them these headphones are really something to avoid and from my experience avoid any headphones made by maxell always have...
...

Everybody has an ipod and I am no exception. I love these earphones because they fit just right. Every other pair I have make my ears sore after a long period of time (plane flights, road trips, etc.) I can wear these to sleep and not even notice. They come with three different sized rubber earpieces. They come in a wide variety of colors from black, green, fuscia or pink, red, blue, and even Jamacian colors red, black, yellow and green. I bought my husband a pair and he loves them because he can go running and work out with them and they stay snugly in place. I got ours at an f.y.e in my local mall, they were on sale for 9.99. If you look online I'm sure you can find just as good of a deal. The sound quality is great, the bass is awesome, outside noises are barely audible and its just a great buy overall...
...

The in-ear headphones that came with my MP3 player hurt my ears, so I asked my husband if I could borrow his JVC Gumy In-Ear Headphones to see if they were any more comfortable. Since they are called "Gumy" - a spin off of "gummy", like soft, squishy gummy bears, I assumed they would be more comfortable in my ears. I was wrong.

The JVC Gumy In-Ear Headphones do have a small rubber layer on the outside of the headphone. When I insert it in my ear, I can't even tell that there is a rubber layer at all. They are so uncomfortable, they feel like a small, hard piece of plastic lodged in my ear. Which essentially, they are. However, I had high expectation for these because of their misleading name, "Gumy". The one good thing I have to say about these headphones is that they offer a nice assortment of colors to choose from. But a nice color isn't good enough for me. I would not buy these for myself and would not recommend them.

I've had the Sony in-ear headphones for nearly a year now and surprisingly they're still working great. The sound quality is not perfect, but I've found that they provide better sound quality than the Apple earbuds that come with the iPod/iPhone, or even my Jlab JBuds Hi-Fi Noise-Reducing Ear Buds which cost nearly 4 times as much when not on sale.

I find the Sony earbuds to be comfortable, and I often go to sleep with them in to drown out my fiancé's snoring. Since they were so inexpensive ($10 at Target) I'm not too concerned about breaking them, and admittedly, I treat them rather shabbily. I often listen to music while I cook and the long white cord constantly gets caught on the handle of my cupboards, yet it hasn't caused any notable damage to the sound or punctured the silicone, so no wires are exposed. And unlike the Apple earbuds, the earbud itself has not come apart. They don't have a case, so I just wrap them around my iPod when I'm not using them, or if I'm using an...
...

I love music. When I purchased my first Ipod, I found the earphones uncomfortable, so I bought another brand, and another brand, and another brand. Eight styles later, I still found each to be uncomfortable, and still hearing too much outside noise; resulting in constant increase and decrease of volume depending on the song play. I wanted a compact set and visited the Bose store. The in-ear had just come out. They were pricey, but decided to splurge knowing I would save money in the long term, not having to buy more eaphones. Well, I love the sound quality, and they are noise cancelling. I have had my earphones for a long time, and I will never use another pair. The only downfall is I lose the earbuds. At first, Bose replaced the buds free of charge online and in the stores. Now I pay for them, but I get three sets. All other manufacturers charge for resplacement, too; so it is not a hardship for me. Still beats having to spend more buying another set of earphones. ...
...

I hated the earbuds that came with my iPod. They were round and hard and too big for my ears. The salesperson at Best Buy turned me onto the Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds. I liked that they came in a ton of colors and had three different sizes of rubber inserts to fit all sizes of ears.

They are really comfortable in my ears and drown out outside noise. Even while working out, they don't fall out. I am on my second set of Ink'd earbuds. Mine lasted a little over a year and I listen to my iPod constantly. That's not all that bad. They aren't high-priced.

When these things need to be replaced, there's not much warning. They go down fast. With other earphones, usually the music cuts out in one ear or another when you move the cord when they need to be replaced. With these, I thought my iPod was broken, because the music got slow, like when a record (remember those?) was on too slow a speed.

I am 100% happy with these.
...

joferder says "The Bose In-Ear headphones work great...but at what price?" about Bose - In-ear headphones

I have had these headphones for about two years now and I really enjoy the sound that comes from them and they are very comfortable to wear. They are made by Bose and therefore you can expect the quality to be above what you would get with a regular pair of headphones.

One of the problems that I have run into with these headphones is that the in-ear pads seem to come off of the headphones too easily. Since the pads are a frosty color they pick up the color of whatever they are setting on and so they are hard to find. I have even tried to use some super-glue to glue them on so that I don't have to continually worry about losing them when I go to the gym but that didn't work either. Bose has realized that this might be an issue so they have made replacement pads available for $7, which as far as I'm concerned is way too much when the headphones themselves cost $100.

Speaking of the price of these headphones, it is too high. Some people out there will try to convince you that you...
...

waynemckinstry says "These are awsome headphones." about Sony MDR-XD100 Consumer Headphones

The Sony MDR-XD100 headphones are awesome!! I needed a better set of headphones for my new iPod Nano, so I ordered these.

It has been long time since I have used over-the-ear headphones. I was pleasantly surprized by the Sony MDR-XD100 headphones. They fit over my ears in a very comfortable manner, and the sound they deliver is great.

The cord is longer than on any other headphones I have. That is not really bad, since I am sometimes tethered to something by a cord that is not too long. But this cord is so long that when I am walking around with my iPod, I have to coil part of it up to keep it from dragging the ground and tripping me.

These do not have the sound-cancelling feature found in much more expensive models. When I walk along a busy street the traffic noise drowns out the music.

It is almost funny, I hook mu little bitty iPod Nano to these big cluncky headphones. But I get a great sound.
...

aliasbirt says "Best headphone I have every owned" about Creative Technology EP610 Consumer Headphones

The Creative EP610 headphones are incredible. They had great sounds and good bass. One of their awesome features is their ability to block noises, this means you don't have to have the volume so loud as there is no noise to block out.

They have different sized ear buds so they are pretty much guaranteed to fit your ears nice and snug. The price is pretty good too. You can get them from most store for between $30 and $40 or on ebay for under $10, brand new.

I would definitely invest in a pair of these babies if you love music even if they are your backups just in case your other head phones come to misfortune.

Great Product.
...

Layten says "The JVC Gummy Earbuds make me sing along and match my clothes." about JVC Gummy Earbuds

I love the JVC Gummy Earbuds. You can buy them in many different colors. They are great for style and even better for listening. They are very loud and not soft. They give you a clear sound the entire time you listen to the song. I bought 4 different colors to match my outfits. Most headphones are not as durable either. One of mine were ran over by a car in the street. There were a few marks on my earbuds, but they still worked for some reason. I owe that to JVC and there sturdy technology. I rarely find head phones that are actaully red or green. Giving them as a gift works out too. There is nothing you can do that can destory these headphones. I know I have said it more than once, I have put these head phones through a lot of torture, but they are still going strong. The earphones are also very comfortable. They aren't hard and slip out of your ears easily. They actaully stay in place when you put them in your ears. I would recommend these earphones for people who like to jog or run...
...

flubber says "Headgear for anyone" about Sony - Dynamic Stereo Headphones MDR-V150

I have had a number of setsof headphones in my lifetime. I have had Koss, Bose, and Sony. I like them all but like my recent pair of Sony headphones.

I love to listen to music while surfing the internet, triathlon training, or relaxing. This pair of headphones makes the experience very enjoyable for two reasons: It reduces outside noise and has a deep bass for a fuller sound quality.

The majority of the time I am using these headphones for training purposes. While I am on my bike trainer in my basement I use the headphones to listen to my favorite music or video as I work out on my bike. The sound quality enhances the workout experience that makes it so much easier to desire those early morning workouts. I am very thankful to have such a good pair of headphones.

The quality is very good as well. They have lasted a long time. I usually only get a year out of my headphones but these have lasted atleast two now. I use them alot and consider them very durable.

I would recommend these headphones...
...
