grenmse says "Organized all my computer software!" about Discgear - 50 Disk Organizer

I discovered Discgear and the 50 CD holders while I was shopping on one of the TV shopping channels. I really love them! QVC had them on a special value price and I picked up two of them because all the software from three computers was turning into a mountain of mess! Needless to say I filled a whole trash bag with all the boxes and crystal cases leftover from my organizing spree and I could not be happier with my purchase!

It does take a little time to go through all the CD's and file them in the case but it is way worth it. In each set you get one fifty disk organizer, labels, a software CD to help you organize your titles, a pen to write down the titles on the pull out guide, and one Index album book file to put all your cd inserts or instructions.

I divided my two cases between gaming CDs and system software. I reccomend going to the discgear website to organize your titles instead of using the discgear software, or you can do it yorself with a spreadsheet application. After you finish...
...

LauraBelle says "Keeping It Safe, Sleek, and Looking Good" about iFrogz - iPhone 3G & 3GS Luxe Case

When you dump a lot of money into something, you want to make sure you keep it protected. I had a great protective cover for my first iPhone. It was rubberized, and while it wasn't the best looking one out there, I felt it kept my iPhone protected. Not that I plan on anything happening to it, but if it would fall a short distance from the couch to the floor or something, it was always okay. It kind of bounced.

Yet once I got the new iPhone 3GS, I was warned that the old covers might not fit very well. Rubberized, it was able to stretch around the newer phone quite well. However, I found the most annoying thing with my new phone. Unlike my old one, it seemed ultra sensitive to pressure. I couldn't talk on the phone without my ear accidentally hanging up on someone, muting them, putting them on hold, etc. It was quite frustrating, for me as well as whoever I was talking to. I couldn't figure out why the touchscreen was so much more sensitive than my old one. Researching on the Apple website,...
...

onlinebizkj says "Keeps going and going and going..." about Energizer - Energizer e2 Lithium Batteries

Remember the TV commerical of the Energizer bunny, who keeps "going and going and going" ?

Well these batteries do. I actually prefer them for electronics that are more sophisticated and required long lasting battery life, such as my digital camera, specific kids toys and radios. Because I know that Energizer does what it says, I never have to worry about running out of batteries filming that "one in a lifetime" recital or birthday party. Or grabbing up the portable radio for the annual July 4th display where the fireworks are synchronized to the music....

One day I picked up a pack of cheap batteries at the local dollar store, in a pinch for my camera and was sadly disappointed when the digital reading blinked "low battery" and died- right on the spot!

I've learned my lesson- I keep Energizer batteries on hand for those unexpected moments of dying batteries. Yeah they're a little more expensive, but compared to a lifetime of memories I could have missed...I've found it's worth it.
...

Bottom-Line: If you need an affordable, reasonably long lasting battery at a reasonable price, you can't go wrong with the CVS Brand "AA" Sized Alkaline 1.5v Battery

Let's face it, there is an ever increasing number of gadgets and other electronic equipment that need "AA" sized batteries to operate: penlight flashlights, remotes, MP3 players, bedside clocks, wireless keyboard & mice, digital cameras, portable GPS devices; well you get the picture.

In a bid to save money on batteries (because Lord knows their expensive) and, well, lower my carbon footprint, I switched to re-chargeable batteries, but they proved unequal to the task(s) at hand, so I switched to CVS Brand "AA" Sized Alkaline 1.5v Batteries in a bid for longer lasting power.

iSkin is known for making a number of protective accessories and cases for Apple products, handheld games and other gadgets you would like to keep safe. Now they have released the iSkin revo protective cover for the iPhone. The revo protector covers up all the iphone surfaces including all ports and controls with a Sure Grip anti-microbial silicone material that improves its grip, keeps it from sliding around and can help protect it from shock damage when dropped or bumped.

The revo cover also has a privacy film that you can layer over the touch screen which works similar to a privacy screen for a computer monitor letting you see the screen straight-on, but those trying to sneak a peak from an angle see a highly tinted or black view. Also, to further protect that fancy multi-touch screen iSkin provides a Visor, which is basically a clear, hard plastic cover that snaps on when the iPhone isn’t in use to protect the screen. When using your iPhone you remove the Visor and snap in...
...

I use a wireless mouse for my desktop and have always had a problem with it draining the life out of semi expensive batteries. On a typical run to the store i stopped by the battery section and went to reach for the usual pack of batteries I buy and saw the Energizer e2 Lithium batteries. A few more cents than the usual, but I figured I would give them a try. I have been using these Energizer batteries for about a month now on my wireless mouse and still going strong!! That is way longer than what my old batteries used to survive... I have found that they last longer in my digital camera as well. Before I used to use up the batteries on my camera in one day, especially if it was a birthday or special event that required me to use my camera every 5 minutes! With the Energizer Lithium batteries, I am able to use it for days before replacing the batteries. All in all, I am a happy camper with my Energizer e2 Lithium batteries.
...

If you've ever bought a personal computer - be it a desktop model or a laptop/notebook - you know as well as anyone that no matter how good the basic price is, if you need accessories or peripheral devices along the lines of optical mice, web cams and nice printers that aren't the ones stores "push" on you to buy in a "package deal," you have to buy them separately.

You'd think, for instance, that Hewlett-Packard would have deigned to include a carrying bag or slip case for their laptops. After all, the chief draw of laptops is portability, but while it's not uncommon for us to lug them from the computer room/home office carefully cradled in our arms, it's not practical or beneficial to take them on a plane, train or automobile without a specifically designed sllp case along the lines of a Targus CVR217 Neoprene Slipcase.

Sara1231 says "Decent iPhone case ... could be better" about Case Crown - iPhone Case

I researched a bunch of iPhone cases when I decided to purchase the iPhone 3GS earlier this summer. It's such an expensive piece of hardware I wanted to make sure I had the tools to protect it. (And, I'm notoriously clumsy with electronics..and everything else.)

Other reviews I had read said this semi-hard case would protect agaisnt falls and keep my precious phone safe, while preserving the classic look of the iPhone. Does it preserve the look? Yes, and the soft material makes your phone very easy to handle. But! I dropped my phone while getting out of the car and it just so happened to land on one of the places not covered by the case - both the top and bottom areas of the phone are left pretty open. So yes, my new phone now has a dink in it.

Bottom line: I'd suggest something with more coverage if you know you're not the most careful of phone owners.
...

I bought this off fleabay to use with some of my older electronics thinking that I need to consolidate all my devices to one remote. I have a Dish receiver, dvd player, tv, AV receiver, and DVR.

The Harmony 550 is easy to program using the computer and the included disc although you have to download updates from Logitech for newer devices. Unfortunately, I don't have any new devices except for the Dish 722 DVR receiver and a Samsung plasma TV. The only device the Logitech Harmony 550 remote works with is the TV. Although it says Dish receivers are supported, I couldn't get my remote to work with the Dish receiver. It did not work with the JVC DVD player, the Philips DVR, or the Toshiba receiver. Basically useless for my needs. In fact, the radiofrequency UHF remote that came with the Dish receiver worked better and with more devices.

Needless to say, I have to o use for this. Should have gone for a 920 model with UHF but I can't justify forking out a few hundred bucks...
...

The wireless Fm Transmitter is a piece of junk. You really get what you pay for on this one. These tend to run really cheap on eBay. I think i probably got mine around twelve dollars. My Wireless Fm transmitter came from Hong Kong maybe that's where the problem originated because they buy and make things in bulk over there and make a lot of money selling them to people in the U.S. I wont lie it worked really good in the beginning maybe had a little static here and there but after about a week it kept getting worse and worse. This was after i had left positive feedback for themit started to sound lower and staticy. Eventually i just threw it out so if your looking for something reliable then don't go with this. I have had a lot of experience with FM transmitters and the best thing to do is just stay away from all brands. They are a unperfected quick fix from just getting a radio with an Aux cable.

Here is what you do - ESPECIALLY if you live in Minnesota where most Wireless FM Transmitters DO NOT WORK!!!!

Get this one.

Just search Wireless FM Transmitter on eBay and look for the exact one in the picture I uploaded.

It works, it is EASY to use - unlike expensive ones or others I have tried where you have to program this or that...ARGH. While driving? Really? This one you:

1) Plug into device - and I plug into car lighter as I have yet to put batteries in it.

2) Tune radio to one of the four frequencies listed - if just scratchy noise or static it should be a good station. 107.3 works best in Twin Cities - except SMALL section of 694 between about Lex and 35E

3) Turn on desired device. I have used with XM Satellite MyFi, iPod, Zen, iTouch and my Blackberry. ANYTHING you can plug a set of headphones into will work.

4) Enjoy your own music, sattelite radio, or Pandora.

The Logitech Harmony 610 Universal Remote is very easy to program. I loved that you chose the equipment that you have online and then it is sent to your remote. From then on, you add or adjust settings from your desktop software program. The most challenging part was having to determine the input for each device. (ie. "When you watch a dvd, what input is your tv on?) I guessed and got everything right except for one item.

This remote controls 5 devices. Press a button and it turns on all the devices you need to do a certain task. Watch tv: it turns on the tv, surround sound, cable (or whatever you use). Watch dvd: it turns on the tv, dvd player, and surround sound., etc. We even lost the remote to our surround sound and now this controls it just like the original. Love it! About $65 at Walmart.

Plantronics has never done me wrong.

When I saw the advertisement for the new Plantronics PRO, I was intrigued. Could I really stand in a wind tunnel and have someone hear me clearly?!

So I purchased it and tried it out. I called my work phone from my car using the headset. I had the window partially open and left myself a lengthy message.

Then I called myself again, this time with the window completely open and the radio on.

Then I called again with the window closed and the radio LOUD. Not super loud, but enough that someone would be able to pick up I was listening to something.

What I heard when I checked the messages was...ME. Nothing more than ME. I COULD NOT believe it. I was clear and there was NO background noise. I even checked the message with someone in my office and they were surprised that I had the window open and the radio on when I told them.

I also used it to call my mom when the Cubs game was on the TV. Nothing in the background.

Sony NP-FH70 lithium ion rechargeable battery is very good for sony DCR SR47 camcorder. This battery gives 5hours of recording time as against the battery which is very good when compared to the battery which I got along with the camcorder having only 60 minutes of recording time. This battery I bought from Amazon.com for 50$ is very good price for a battery having such a long recording time. . So this model bettery serves our purpose of long video recording. I bought this battery for 60GB DCR SR7 camcorder with a particular need of long recording time.
...

salruss says "Duracell Rechargeable NiMH batteries are a money-saver!" about Duracell - rechargeable NiMH batteries

I have a 4-year-old. And--I think he eats batteries! Well, his toys do anyway! Our biggest culprit is a light and sound Star Wars Light Saber. That thing eats 3 AA batteries every 5-7 days!

Enter the Duracell Rechargeable NiMH batteries!

I purchased these rechargeable batteries and the charger just before Christmas. If you watch at CVS or Walgreens and match coupons, you can get $10 of batteries for almost nothing!

We immediately replaced the old AA batteries in the light saber with 3 fully charged AA Duracell Rechargeable NiMH batteries. We found that the rechargeable batteries still needed to be replaced after 5-7 days, but now, instead of throwing them away, we can recharge them. We've been recharging them for the last 4 months. In that time, it appears that they are still just as effective as when they were brand new.

If my math is correct, these Duracell Rechargeable NiMH batteries that we are using in the light saber have paid for themselves in less than 6...
...

mullucan says "well worth the money" about Kodak - EasyShare Camera Dock Series 3 Dock / Cradle

we got this Kodak dock some time ago with a camera at Best Buy as a combo, it works great we are now on our second kodak camera and still useing our dock with the handy dandy attachment that came with our new camera. For us it has been a quality long lasting product (lasted longer than the camera), our only drawback is sometimes its hard to fit it on the pegs but once its sitting on there it works great. so much easier than fumbleing around with wires you can plug it in and leave it, no more searching for the right wire to charge the camera now if they would just come out with one of these for Cell phones.
...

meclarkson says "This Bluetooth speaker phone is a waste of time and money. " about Wireless Gear - Bluetooth Speaker Phone

I purchased the Wireless Gear Speaker Phone for use in my car with my cell phone because I do not like to have a bluetooth or headset right in my ear. This item clips to the visor in your car. The instructions were to charge it for at least 3 hours until the light went off and then it would be ready. It took longer to charge than stated and I was only able to use it that evening and it was dead again the next morning. The people that I was able to talk to said I sounded like I was far far away or in a tunnel. I have since tried to recharge it and cannot get it to take a charge. Other than its original charge it has not worked since. This item was on clearance when I purchased it and now I know why. It is not worth the clearance price much less the amount they originally wanted for it. I am returning it to the store and will have to figure out a better way to be able to communicate if I am in the car.
...

TheBard says "APC delivers a small unit that powers almost everything portable" about APC - Mobile Power Pack - Universal Battery

Bottom-Line: I would highly recommend the APC Mobile Power Pac.

APC designed the Mobile Power Pack to generate up to 55 hours of power for devices like the iPod Nano, and 8 to 10 hours of additional e-mail and talk time for smart phones and or PDA's like the Palm 700w, and BlackBerry Curve. APC further designed the APC Mobile Power Pac with an AC-to-USB power adapter and a USB-to-Mini B power cable all in a light weight package. The white LED status bar lets you know how much charge you have left with the press of a button, and it blinks when charging. The Mobile Power Pack is fitted with a state-of-the-art lithium-polymer battery a technology delivers copious amounts of power and fast recharge times.

My Viewpoint

The APC Mobile Power Pac is a keeper and has earned a home in backpack. Though I have relieved myself of a Palm, I still have a BlackBerry 8830 World-Phone and TomTom XL GPS I use the unit with. The Mobile Power Pac lives up to the hype; I have yet to delete the...
...
