littlefoots says "phone is nice- just too many problems with it" about Cricket - TXT8026C Cell Phone

Also known as the Cricket TXTM8

At first site.. this is a great phone with great looking features. I bought this phone online with Cricket in August. As soon as it arrived in the mail..I had to take it to a store location where they had to give me a new phone replacement. They know me in the store now after 6 visits since then for all types of phone issues. I have experienced screen freezing, middle of phone call freezing, email not working properly, phone not starting, difficulty with charging, power button broken upon 1st initial phone sent, phone shutting off out of the blue, not holding charge. Th ebad part is that if I want to get a replacement.. it is all fees. I have the warranty and insurance.. I now have to have the phone sent to the insurance company where they will let me know if its something caused by me or the phone. If it is the phone.. they will credit 35.00 to my account and I would get a replacement. The kicker is.. I would have to pay 45.00 initially in order to get...
...

tracy06P says "I have had this phone for 8 months and still love it" about LG - Voyager Cell Phone

I wanted a phone with a full qwerty keyboard because I was beginning to text more and more and doing it from a regular flip phone is very difficult. I purchased a SmartPhone first and returned it within the 30 days that you can. I hated it, way too much stuff on there that I would never use, and that made it difficult to access the things that I did want to use. This phone was rather expensive, but it has been well worth it. It had a nice large screen, and takes really good pictures. I put a memory card in there and save all my pictures on the card. It has the full qwerty keyboard like I wanted. It is also touchscreen which I did not know if I would like in the beginning, but now that I am used to it, I love it too. There are screen covers that you can get to protect the screen. The ringtones are louder on this phone than any phone I have had before. Which is very good because I use it as an alarm clock too. The only issue I have had with it is that sometimes it powers off for no reason,...
...

I got this phone recently and i was surprised to find what the call apps for the phone is just the same old games verizon has always had nothing compared to the iphone apps. Recently my phone has been turning off randomly and resetting itself, which is a complete pain. I would say save your money, and get the env 3. ( the touch screen isnt that great ) or splurge on a blackberry. Your choice. Also for a heavy texter as myself your going to get a battery life of maybe 4 hours, and the flash is way to bright.
...

I have been a new cell phone lover for many years now. I always have to have the latest in technology. Every time I get a new phone I love it for about 2 months and then I get tired of it and begin looking for the next great phone. When the Storm first came out I was one of the first to get it, and I have been hooked ever since. I have never seen a phone so great and so sleek. I love the many applications that you can download onto the phone for free. The camera on this phone is really good, it is even better than some cameras. Sending text messages or emails with this phone is so easy. The numbers and letters are a good size and makes it easy to spell the words correctly the first time. The screen does get stuck sometimes and you have to reset it but that does not happen much. The Blackberry Storm uses a microswitch under the center of the display to respond to each action, such as pressing a key on a keyboard launching an application or surfing the web. I love this phone. ...
...

I got this phone about a year ago and it is horrible. No one is able to hear me when I talk because they say it sounds muffled. Even the ring tones that I paid for sound horrible. The ring tone is too loud therefore the sound is horrible. This is the first time I purchased a Casio brand phone and I will never buy one again. I usually buy Nokia's but decided to go out of my comfort zone and buy something new. Bad Idea. You can't hold the phone with your shoulder because that is where they decided to put the antenna. Not such a good idea. I just wonder who decides where the features go on the phones, because they should be fired. Oh and the signal this phone gets is horrible. My husband and I both have Verizon but he talk on his phone inside the house, but my phone gets no signal in my house. So therefore I have to sit outside everytime I talk on the phone and that is quite annoying when it's really hot or really cold. Do not recommend this phone.
...

HaydensMom08 says "Can't go anywhere without my iphone-it's my lifeline!" about Apple - iPhone 3G (16gb) Cell Phone

I was very skeptical when my husband bought an Iphone and tried to convince me to get one. I didn't think I would like the touch screen, I thought texting would be hard and I just didn't think I needed it.

Wow, was I wrong. The keyboard on the Iphone does take a little getting used to. There were several time that I would select the wrong letter (and I still do!) but you do get used to it fast.

I love that I am able to instantly access my email. Texting is a breeze, as it keeps the conversation flowing. No going back and back to see what someone texted you.

As the commercial says: Weather? There's an app for that. Tip calculator? There's an app for that. I think there is literally an app for anything you want and most of them are free.

The camera is okay. It really is not the best quality, but I know someone that printed a picture from the Iphone and it was an okay quality. Forget taking pictures in dark situations though.

I love all electronics and the iphone was the one thing i couldn't wait to get my hands on.I have a 3g that's on t-mobile. running 3.0 firmware so i don't have MMS. I love the features on the phone love that I can add things to it when something comes to mind. I read books from it play games. I use my phone for practically everything And apple customer Service is great had to replace my phone when i first got it. Apple gave me no problems and in 3days i have a new phone. Bad things about the iphone the battery life sucks big time. I can't count the times the battery has died down on me when i needed it. Or the accessories that i am constantly rebuying because something doesn't work.I am still trying to locate a working car charger. I wish they hadn't made it so difficult but, with the features and ease of use I would actually buy another oe. besides with each release they always improve the design and functions of the phones.

The price tag for buying one off contract is not for the faint...
...

I have always bought LG VX cell phones. They seem to be a superior quality for the money. They are moderately priced and I never have a problem with dropped calls or messed up screens. The phones last me my two years until I'm eligible for a new verizon phone and then some. I had my last LX VX 8500 for 3 years until I finally lost it, it was still working, it just fell out of my son's stroller without my noticing. The LG phones aren't extremely fancy, but they have all the most desirable features and are durable. I have found that the fancier the phones are, the quicker they break. When I called LG for support with my phone, they were courteous and helped me program my phone. The speaker is loud enough and the company is consistent with their programming so from LG VX to LG VX, you never have to learn a new set up for the phone programs. Though the VX 8500 isn't the fanciest phone around, it gets the job done.
...

The Samsung Gravity cell phone, is a stylish white and aqua or grey and lime greem, slide phone with full qwerty keyboard, 1.3 megapixel camera, music player, stereo bluetooth, AIM, E-mail. The qwerty keyboard is a good size, the keys are a bit round, bubbly, makes it easy to type. The picture quality is decent, nothing too great. In low light, forget about it. You can not get a decent picture. Also if it is too bright, you have to play with the light settings to asjust. There is a video feature. You can add a microSD card to expand memory. I have yet to do that, and have used up the memory that came with phone quickly with e-mail, uploading mp3s, and pictures, so it is nice to have the option of adding more memory. The actual service is ok. I have tmobile, and i get a few missed calls, and no reception in some areas. Despite the cons, I feel the positives outweigh them. It is a fun phone, I enjoy that it slides, that it has a qwerty keyboard, and that i can freely send and receive emails,...
...

I left Verizon and switched to AT&T for the iPhone 3G after losing my LG Dare one night and discovering it would cost me $400 to replace. I spent nearly as much after the carrier switch and phone, but it was WELL worth it. The iPhone is by far the best cell phone I've ever used, and it's just so much fun. Almost everyone I know owns an iPhone - it's a little ridiculous, actually, when we all get together and whip out our phones.

Call quality is good, love that there's a built in iPod, and the app store is just great. There are so many free apps to choose from that I don't know why anyone would ever pay for an app. Texting/emailing on the touch screen takes a little getting used to a many typos along the way "oops, fat fingers" or "damn auto-fill" are frequently used follow-up text messages I feel obliged to send after these mistakes. But once you get the hang of it it's not so bad, and the fact that the screen rotates 180 degrees to offer a horizontal keypad layout helps a lot.

The samsung epix is like having your own personalized computer. The phone is touch screen, has a mouse pad, and even includes a stylist to use on the screen. I like this phone because it has a QWERTY keyboard which makes texting easier. Also, since im a big texter I like how the texting is set up. Its similiar to an instant message where each person has their own conversation so I dont have to worry about flipping through my sent messages to see what I sent someone if it took them awhile to text back. The camera also takes quality pictures and you can send them straight to your email which is convenient. I overall dont have any negative comments about this phone, I really like this cell phone and all the functions it offers.
...

Now onto the product....simple, sleek, amazing. Set up out of the box could not have been easier. Make sure you have the most updated version of itunes onyour computer, plug in the USB cord and you're up and running. Give it a full 3-4 hour charge first time through. Load up your music, pictures, videos. The software is simplicty defined. If you can use a toaster over, you can use this device. The wi-fi immediatley found my home network (and my neighbor's). Setting up email: simple. Surfing the web: simple. And, oh yeah, using it to listen to music (ostensibly what it is for): a lifting and beautiful experience.

Might as well buy this newer version with the new software loaded. With amazon's discount, it only a few dollars more than the old version without the upgrade after you pay for it and upload it youself. Save yourself the hassle and get the new version.

So you know, this thing will get fingerprinted fast. I got a Griffin leather hard shell case with a protective screen cover for...
...

angcar says "Best phone I've ever had" about Blackberry - Storm 9530 Cell Phone

I love my storm. It has great sound quality, good picture and video quality as well. It offers internet and a few apps to add. Blackberry messenger is also available. You can customize it in a great many ways. I haven't had any problems out of mine other than a rare froze screen. I use mine daily as my alarm and book reader. It also comes with an 8 gig card so you can load up the pictures, videos, songs, books or whatever. No need for the ipod any longer. I loved that the only thing I had to buy was the screen protector, I highly recommend one before the first use. The screen does scratch easily and sudges, and glare badly without one. Only phone that I've ever bought that came with earbuds and battery. The screen has a light click that doesn't bother me and easy to read and adjust buttons. I'm not a texter or a messenger so I can't comment on them. I know that this phone is my favorite of all that I've owned.
...

Rocketiger says "Great Phone for those on the go!!" about Motorola - tracfone Cell Phone

This is great phone that is perfect for those who don't like alot of bells and whistles. It feels great in my hand and gets great reception whever I may be. It has a very loud ring so that no matter where its placed you can hear it. It charges fast but the charge does not last as long as some other comprable phones out in the market today. It has an excellent alarm function and several catchy ringtones. Motorola makes very sturdy and durable phones. I have never had any problems after i have dropped my phone. I trust this brand and will continue to do so. It also offers a speakerphone function, a speed dial function, 3 games, address book, couple of screensavers and wallpapers. Headset capable. Ability to set on vibrate, silence, and vibe & ring. Time is stamped on front for quick and easy refrence. It also offers a calculator, calendar, a currency converter, and color display. Review for the Motorola w175.
...

tchconst says "Good working horse, really disappointed with its convenience." about HTC - Dash Cell Phone

My 1st smartphone. I was expecting wonders. Having read all possible reviews I bought right away for a total of "huge" $5 including shipping 1 new battery + 1 car charger + 1 wall charger on ebay.com. One less problem.

The phone itself works perfectly well but:

1. It has less feachures then any regular fiftydollar phone. For example: no timer, or NORMAL alarm (the one installed is just ridiculous), or a stopwatch, or basic games, no notes at all etc.

2. Digits are amazingly small and completely invisible even for my petite fingers and perfect eyes.

3. All the window's features are just not there. All you have is just indications that they are supposed to be there. I presume I have to spend forever browsing for unknown downloads and to pay fortune to have Windows Word and Excel.

4. Loudspeakers are not of the best quality. And many other small inconveniences which could have been easily avoided by the manufactuter.

As a regular phone it works well if you get used to ajusting the volume...
...

The Alias 2 is a great phone. I got one about a month or two ago and love it. The only real con I think it has is it's size. It's slightly bigger then most phones but still a great phone. It has great battery life and a digital keyboard. It's really easy to use and just a cool phone. It also has a great picture on the camera and many special effects you can do to your pictures. It also has alot of options on everything. It has about 5 different menus to chose from and you can change the font, font size, and font color plus alot more. Altogether the Alias 2 is a great phone.
...

saterry says "Touch screen in the early edition" about LG - Dare Cell Phone

I got this phone from Verizon Wireless early in the touch screen days. I think it was LG's attempt to provide an answer to the popular iPhone that is only available from AT&T. The phone is set up pretty well. It takes practice to get used to using the touch screen. This phone is not ideal for someone with large fingers. If you have large "man hands" you would be better of using a phone with a true keyboard. Many of the newer phones have both a touch screen for quick use and an actual keyboard for texting. (My kids make fun of me for texting so slowly.) The one complaint I have with Verizon is how they do business with all of the extras that make your phone personal. Their business model makes them "money grubbing" greedy. One of the most popular things with the iPhone is the wide variety and availability of the apps. Many are free. Good luck finding anything free for any Verizon phone, ie wallpaper, games, ringtones, apps, etc.

One thing that I find that is most...
...

The Palm Treo Pro is an amazing phone. Need a power point? or just a regular word document? Simply sync to your computer and download the file to your palm. If you are lost on the road somewhere, it has GPS to help you out on knowing exactly where you are and where you are headed. If you are bored waiting on your plane to depart, you can watch youtube videos or play a game of soilitaire with your fingertips or the included stylus on its large touch-screen. Not only does this phone capture video and pictures, it allows for multi-frame pictures, panoramic pictures, and self-timed pictures. It is all covered with this phone, games to meeting appointments, texting to e-mail, whatever your technological needs are this phone will cover. I would recommend this phone to anyone!
...
